Men’s PFG Blood and Guts™ III Convertible Pant is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 19.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Blood & Gut Convertible Pants I purchased my dad a pair of these last year. He wears them so much I had to order him another pair. When I called mom to ask her what size he wears so that I could get him a pair for this BDay she said she couldn't check right now what size I got him last year because he still has them on. 2 days later she finally called me to give me his size. They are a bit baggy in the leg but the waist is true to size. Dad loves them because he says they're light and cool for the summer. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for outdoors! Purchased these pants for a hiking trip in Colorado and they were great. Did a hike up to Pikes Peak and knew it would be cold at the summit. These pants allowed for combo of long pants and shorts when I unzipped the lower half. It was 33 degrees at the peak and 74 degrees at the base. These were the perfect pants for this hike!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pants! I have several pairs of blood &guts shorts. Love them, so I tried the convertible pants. Super comfy and easy leg removal. Fast drying, wind resistant and sun protection too! All good. Gityousome!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pants These are great to hike or outdoor sports use. I can move very well in these pants with them staying in place. I wear these hiking in spring summer and fall and I love them. Only thing I see could use a few more belt loops.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Liked it. We've had luck with Columbia products. The pants were as expected, size was right, looking forward to wearing them once the snow is gone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for travel My dad just wore these almost every day for a 3 week trip through Ireland, Poland, and Greece. Loved how they fit, wore and washed the whole trip. Just bought a second pair!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product This is the 3rd pair of PFG B&G pants that I have bought in the last year (my sixth if you count the three pair of the GRT's - a predecessor to the PFG, which I still have). I buy them mostly for when I am working on location (film and television), and also for travel, hiking. It would be great if they offered a couple of other colours - the performance level of these pants can't be beat. Add some fleece underwear and these pants will take you to -20 celsius quite comfortably, and they are equally great in the heat.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Only one cargo pocket I own two pairs of the original Blood and Guts convertible pants and they have been great. I ordered the Blood and Guts III online and did not realize they had eliminated the cargo pocket on the right leg. I will be returning these to trade for a pair of Silver Ridge Convertible pants. I ordered a pair of them at the same time as these. They have two cargo pockets, fit great (one size up from the BaG III), have wicking fabric, but don't have the stain resistance of BaG III.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for sun and blood of fishing I wear these when running walleye charters on Lake Erie. The fishing gets fast and furious at times and walleye will bleed all over you and the boat. Spray a little prewash on heavy spots and then launder as usual and it washes right out. As for comfort, I will start at 4am as long pants - switch to shorts later in morning and if still on the lake at noon - back to long pants to protect from sun. The cut is a little larger in legs and length is a little long. I wear 32" inseam but a "30 is appropriate for me. If you like a slimmer cut - look at the Silver Ridge Convertible model. Note that their size runs true to length.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light, perfect for Florida fishing These pants are excellent to protect you against the mosquitoes and sun early in the morning. Florida has some mosquito laden fishing areas at times (IRL, Mosquito Lagoon), and if you are not fully covered, it's a miserable experience. These pants are light enough to allow you to remain cool, yet provide great protection against the sun and bugs. Lots of pockets. Has an elastic middle section on the sides, so it remains comfortable as you move around. Convertible to shorts is a plus and they don't look hideous like most convertible pants. They do run looooong, but waist is true to size. Took them hiking in Puerto Rico as well and they performed really well being wet all day. They repel light water, but don't expect them to be dry. If you get fully wet, they'll dry quick, but it'll take some time. I got a feeling that they would wick away a light rain though. Note: they are light, so don't expect them to provide insulation if that's what you are looking for. But if you are in a warmer climate and your issue is the opposite (staying cool), then these pants are hard to beat. Overall, extremely pleased with these pants. Would definitely purchase a pair again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent pants I'm from California, but currently live in Taiwan. I ordered these pants online and had my brother in law bring them to me here in Taiwan. It's hot and humid here during the summer, and I needed something well ventilated. Cotton just won't do it. The Columbia stores here in Taiwan don't carry all the products, and definitely no PFG stuff. On top of that, all their products are twice what they are in the states. Even ordering stuff there plus the shipping costs is still cheaper than purchasing them here. These pants are very light and comfortable. It's almost like wearing my pajamas, but outdoors. The quality is excellent, and the material seems very tough and durable. The pants fit very loose, just what I was looking for. I needed something to air out. I was amazed the first day I tried them on. One thing I do have to complain about, is the length. Usually a 30 length would fit me fine. These pants were really long, and I had to fold the bottom.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Torn Fit and look was great wore them kayaking the Devils River in Texas but tore a small hole in them on the first day which sucked but they protected me from the sun and dried quick.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from not just for fishing They are terrific for water proof needs. Bought them for riding a bike and they worked in the rain and road grime. They are also not too hot. They are breathable unlike some other water resistant products. Definitely would buy again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stylish too! So far, I like everything about the pants! Blood, Guts, and Smell came out in wash.
