Rated 2 out of 5 by Worst fishing shirt ever It must be ironed to even button it up properly and ironing it is a 30 minute exercise in futility. This is the gingham shirt only, the plain ones are fine. Horrible shirt. You should not have to iron a fishing shirt. March 12, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Super Bonehead Love the quality of the shirt. The shirt's tails runs a little long but fits very well otherwise. I wish that there were more colors to choose from but the denim colored shirt is very sharp. October 9, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very nice fit and like the color offerings My wife always says I usually buy the very plain colors. Not this time! Went for the plaids and really like way they look. I've been wearing the Columbia fishing shirts for years, but mostly for fishing. This ones a bit fancier. I'm not saying you couldn't fish in it but I bought these for "dress up" weekend nights after hitting the dock. Love the all cotton material. It just breaths better in our warm summer weather. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great option to standard basic color PFG shirts These PFG shirts are a great option to the basic PFG shirts that's been available. It makes the look a bit more dressy so that it can be worn for nice dinners. My husband loves these shirts and this gives him the option to wear PFG shirts for dressier needs. June 5, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Patterns are a nice touch Heavier than the Tamiami shirt. This seems to make it more prone to wrinkles while packing on trips. The patterns are a nice change from the solid color fishing shirts. I would like to see a version with a few less pockets. March 24, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by great functionality, runs bigger in size . My shirt is great. I have always liked Columbia products, so I am a little biased, but they have NEVER let me down, EVER. I wear a large, usually. I tried a large, first, and it was big. I tried a medium and it fit well, good skin coverage and still loose enough to cast a big surface lure or anything else without hindrance. I tried the small and everything fit but the sleeves were too short, at least for me. The looser fit works well and you won't be disappointed, unless you're walking the runway in a fashion show ;) Try the shirt on (somewhere) before you buy it... then buy that size! . February 5, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by COMFORTABLE FEEL & DURABILITY This shirt is a little heavier than other Columbia shirts I have that are made of the lighter nylon type ripstop material - Tamiami II. The cotton is durable and what you would expect out of a cotton shirt. It can be worn right out of the dryer, hung dry or pressed/steamed - the latter of which is what I do for office wear. This shirt has a true to size in Columbia shirts but for someone new to Columbia might want to size down one size. I am real happy with the shirt! January 13, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Long Lasting Shirt I purchased this shirt about 3 or 4 years ago. I still wear it to this day. The quality of the material used in this shirt is superb, it is not see through and is nice enough to wear for a casual dinner or day in the office while functional for the outdoors. Where this shirt really shines in during creek fishing or wading. There are plenty of pockets to hold all the necessities while the vents work to allow the breeze to cool you down on those hot summer days. Over time, I have noticed the shirts wrinkle resistance seems to be wearing out, the more I wash it, the more I have to iron it. However, for 4 years of use, I would say it has been money well spent! Rated 5 out of 5 by Shirt is great. My son loved it. My son loves Columbia shirts and loves this one as well. He can wear it to work since he works in a casual business environment. Knowing that my son has to purchase a smaller size in Columbia shirts than other brands, I was correct in the size I ordered. My only problem was the shipping. UPS allowed the package to sit in one of their stations for slightly over 4 days before shipping it on to the next destination. It finally arrived around 6:30 PM on Christmas Eve, nearly 2 weeks after ordering it. January 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice & keeps you cool This is a very nice it also keeps you cool! December 10, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by columbia Super bonehead shirt Fantastic columbia once again,if you wear a large size down to a medium as they run a size large, great shirt, pockets everywhere, fast drying, great colours range, very functional. November 7, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Product Great shirt to help beat the Texas heat and stay cool. Has been over 100 the past 15 days and these shirts are a great tool to stay cool, dry and keep the burning sun at bay. August 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good fishing shirt Good summer fishing shirt. I like the fit; a bit larger, making it comfortable when tucked in. Seems pretty durable and keeps the sun off June 28, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by I was a bonehead This shirt is very disappointing, considering I have other Columbia shirts I am very happy with. The main problem is it is way too large. I normally take an XL Tall as I am 6'4" and 225 lbs. This shirt is a tent on me. If I weighed 300 lbs, it would probably be all right. I tried washing it, but it did not shrink enough to make me comfortable wearing it. June 24, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Shirt This is a very comfortable shirt, cool shirt. The only drawback that I have is the large flap on the back. I have bought several shirts from Columbia in the past such as the GRT with the flap on the back but it's not as big or it has more tie down points to the actual shirt which helps it from "flapping". The shirt, just like all the other shirts from Columbia run true to its size. Great shirt! September 9, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fine product Good quality for money, Nice style, Comfortable July 20, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by My husband loved his shirt! Since my husband is out in the sun a lot, this shirt makes it so he doesn't have to slather on sun screen all the time. He loves it. June 22, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by HUGE So far, I've bought two of these. The first was a large, which turned out to be a tent. I then went with a medium after looking at the sizing chart. Still unwearable. I'm a Med/Large shirt guy always. In this shirt, I'm guessing that a small or even extra small would be the ticket. Unfortunately, I have not wore this shirt once due to the fact that neither of the ones I've purchased fit. June 17, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Stains in shirt this shirt Fit was too large, it could be that it is the first time I use this product, I based my orden in refrende with the size chart and it turnes out way to big, the shirt also came with a few tiny ink stains. April 28, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Another Great fishing Shirt This is a great looking shirt that has good function for fishing. This particular shirt seems to run larger than what I have worn in the past in the regular bonehead. March 15, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Time Tested Quality I have bought many Bonehead shirts over the years and they continue to be my favorite shirt in the Closet. Whether at work, fishing or hunting they are absolutely the most comfortable shirt i own. I cannot recommend them enough. Hopefully Columbia will produce one in the near future with color to match my Oklahoma State "Orange" so i can wear them to the games. March 13, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Super Boneheads I personally like the Supers better than the originals. Nothingwrong with Velcro, but I like the button-down collar points better. Also, the patterns are nice. Same great shirt, but a bit more stylish. January 30, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Super Bonehead shirts I wear Bonehead or Super Bonehead shirts every day. The Super Bonehead works better for me because it has a collar button instead of velcro. Since I use these shirts for business-wear, I have them starched and the velcro loses it's grip after about a year of laundering. No problem if they are not being starched, however, and both are the best shirts anywhere for outdoor activities. January 29, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by love these shirts I spend as much time as possible on the water and these shirts help keep me cool in the Florida summers. Plus the girlfriend accepts them as a dress shirt to go out at night if I iron them. January 20, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Looking shirt This bonehead shirt is really stylish and made well. I am very pleased with the purchase! January 15, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Shirt Bought for my father and he loves it. May run a little big, but we found a size that fit him. He normally wears a large, but he needed a medium. No big deat it is still a great shirt. Thanks Columbia! January 14, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Really nice shirt. Way to big. I ordered this shirt for my husband for Christmas in Large as he has several other Columbia shirts in that size. It looked more like a dress on him it is huge! Fortunately my son wears XL and is quite a bit taller and it fit him nicely over his t-shirt. I reordered in a different color because the Lemon Whip was unavailable in medium. Hope this one fits. I washed it on delicate cycle and it needed ironing afterward. January 6, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Wrinkles and needs to be ironed My husband loves Columbia shirts so I tried to order the kind that does not wrinkle and "no ironing" for Christmas. Unfortunately they had fold marks when they arrived and I washed them on cold delicate and dried them just a little but they are wrinkled and will need to be ironed....something I do not want to do anymore. But his Columbia shirts are his favorite so I will iron! December 27, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by big Larges are massive. I had to get them tailored. Unless you weigh 300 lbs + get small. Other than that they are awesome. December 19, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by I don't fish! I don't fish but I love this shirt. It is practical, good looking and fits well. Another big plus, I look like a real outdoorsmen when I wear it! December 18, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by This shirt is worth the money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This shirt is just as advertised. Doing a lot of fishing on the flats in Florida I can tell you the sun can get intense. This shirt allows no sun through. It is very quick to dry, rear vents allows excellent ventilation, and it washes like a dream. I own several & get a lot of complements when worn to social events. You won't be disappointed with this product. December 9, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great shirt, came just as expected This was a gift for my brother, who only has a few 'non -fishing' shirts. He adored it and the fit was fantastic. Shipping was prompt. Overall, good experience. November 2, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by great product It is a great product. October 25, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great shirt, but gets very wrinkled during washing Nice shirt, I like the way it fits and looks, but after washing, it is very wrinkled. I should have known since its all cotton vs. synthetic like similar shirts. Will just have to take it out of the dryer earlier next time. I'll be darned if I'm going to iron a fishing shirt. October 19, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by classy fishing shirt Excellent shirt for fishing or casual events. October 17, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by How about a wrinkle free material? I love Columbia gear as I fish, kayak, hike, and get out often. I like their value but this fishing shirt just looks like junk after a few hours fishing. Perspiration or humidity seems to send the shirt into panic mode and it just wrinkles too much. Not a huge deal as otherwise it is a great shirt when I shore fish of get out in the yak, but I just hate walking into a restaraunt on the way home and looking like I just wrestle a wet gorilla. I guess i'll try the polyester fishing shirts next, but I noticed their Khakis wrinkle bad too. October 15, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Shirts, Really Versatile I own several of the Super Bonehead Classic shirts and love them. They are really versatile both in look and function. The ability to roll up the sleeves let's you go with a sportier, more casual look when you want, and it allows you to adjust for warmth and sun protection. The vents really help keep the perspiration down, and the pockets and loops are very practical for fishing. These run pretty large and loose, I would have sized down to a L but my long arms require XL. Yes they wrinkle a lot, but you can iron or steam the wrinkles out - well worth the trouble because the shirt is great: functional, attractive, and versatile. September 17, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Cool in the heat I wear these shirts in the long sleeve version year round in SW Louisiana - in the winter with layers and in the summer to protect agains the sun even when the heat index is 110. The light weight fabric and design allow as much cooling as possible while still protecting skin from UV. I've noticed that they do let enough light through where I don't have a 'farmers' tan but I never burn. Just wish I could get my wife to iron and starch them so I could wear them to church since they are normally pretty wrinkled. Be careful with your boat cleaning chemicals, they ate a hole through one of mine. July 15, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nothing but Columbia I work at a TV station in Amarillo Texas and believe me, the weather extremes here can literally change by more than 110 degrees within a year. As a reporter who also has to shoot his own stories, having great clothing that can handle my hectic day, from snowstorms to grueling heat, is imperative and Columbia is my daily choice. The shirts look great, the vents are a Godsend, and they work all the year long. Only wish I could wear them on air instead of a dress shirt and tie! Keep it up Columbia! July 8, 2011
Rated 3 out of 5 by Really nice shirt one minor issue The shirt is really nice looking and perfect for everyday wear. I'm not sure if it's a design flaw or a defect but one of the sleeve button straps does no have a hole for the button. Other than that it's a really nice shirt June 8, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by WOW I have worn all kinds of fishing shirts but just recently purchased one of these, and all I can say is WOW!! I am an inbetween size in most shirts so these running a little big is great. I even managed to stay cool and sunburn free in 100* weather. I love all the pockets they're good for a few bags of worms, leader line, snuff, line nips, and camera all at the same time. The Super Bonehead Classic is my new favorite shirt. June 7, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Fishing Shirt Nice Shirt but the wrinkles are a bit much. May 29, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Super Bonehead Shirts These are the best casual fishing shirts you can buy......period. May 11, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Overall Great Shirt Most of the reviews are true. Wrinkles terribly, but can be ironed if the wrinkles bother you. Fits a little large, but not a deal-breaker and not enough to order the smaller size. March 5, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by super bonehead great shirt, light cotton, like the designs. For my job thats all i wear February 16, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great shirt! I love the Columbia Fishing Shirts.....especially the Bonehead models. I'm a Fly Fishing Guide and live in these shirts all season long. Comfortable, durable and look good as casual wear. You do have to take pains when drying to avoid heavy wrinkling, but a few wrinkles add to the look. February 10, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect THESE SHIRTS ARE PERFECT FOR MY TRAVELS. November 8, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by The fish don't mind the wrinkles! Wrinkles/sminkles. I like the wrinkles and the fish don't seem to mind them at all. Fit, finish and overall product quality is superb. What a great "all use" shirt. Looks as good at the dinner table as it does catching the dinner. September 1, 2010
Rated 4 out of 5 by Wrinkles too Much need to add some interfacing in the collar and the placket to reduce wrinkling in these areas. I would also like to see the cape in the back attached at two points rather than one. Currently the bottom of the cape rolls up and looks bad. Otherwise great shirts I wear them almost everyday.
