Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 18 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect hiking/casual pants I'm about 5'11" 165 lbs and the 34"x32" fits perfectly. I prefer pants a little looser fitting in the waist/crotch and these are exactly what I hoped for. The pant leg is narrow but they stretch great when bending or crouching down. Love the zippered cargo pockets. Look forward to breaking them in this fall on the next backpacking trip. Best part was they were on sale for $30. Can't beat it! If you're deciding between sizes I would definitely go with the larger one. September 8, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Functional Hiking Pants Contrary to other reviewers, I think these pants run a little large. Good fabric feel, medium weight, lots of pockets. The included belt is reasonably functional, but it loosens up so I use a different one. August 21, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good but incomplete Pants were received with one seam of pocket not sewn. This should have been detected by quality control. August 19, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Super comfortable traveling pants The material is made to be insect and stain repellant, which I can say with confidence that both statements are true. Sand flies and Mosquitos ignore you and the comfort of the material is excellent. Breathes in hot humid conditions and is very light yet provides some protection from heat loss at night. I would highly recommend these pants and am adding another pair with the zipper at the knee for the true beach comber look. August 19, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great pants These pants are very comfortable. I bought one pair and loved them enough that I went back for more. Only one color was available so I could only buy one. August 7, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Size of pants I bought other Colunbia pants different models. The sizing of this pair was extremely tight. Couldn't zipper up the pants. Always bought size 36. July 9, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good pants, run small! I just received these pants. The fit definitely runs small. if you're on the higher end of a size, get the next size up! Other than that, the pants appear to be of great quality. The material is comfortable, the legs fall well, so they can be worn around town, instead of just on the trail. the pockets are just OK. If I could improve one thing, 'hand' pockets would be deeper, and the cargo pockets would have a little more room. The pants shed water nicely, for what they are (Not rain paints). The Leg of the pants are a little skinny towards the ankle, so they don't fit wonderfully over my tall hiking (hunting) boots, but that's not a huge issue. The amount of stretch in the material is just right. If the pockets were deeper/larger and the legs were a little wider towards the ankle, I would have given 5 stars. May 18, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Product of this Cargo Pant This is very comfortable for me. May 10, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent, versatile pants! Originally purchased the Royce Peak Cargo Pants last year in the Tusk color and the hubby thought it high time for a second pair. He is 6', 180 lbs and of a muscular build, not super bulky. He has the 34 x 30. The pants are fitted on him, the Modern Classic style suiting him while at work, casual events, camping, hiking and motorcycling around. He prefers the 30" inseam so the hems don't drag under his heels and they stay well tucked in under his riding suit. The extra stitch-work (gusset detail and knee area) and the stretchy material make this pant super comfortable for him. The material doesn't get baggy and he often wears it several times in a week and it still goods great. The material also feels nice and thick and of good quality. April 2, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Looks good and performs well The waist runs slightly small, which for me is a plus because I am between sizes usually. I like the articulated and stretchy knee, which is in exactly the right place on the leg for me, but I can see that it might not work for everyone. I wear around town and for hiking and they still look good after several washings. The fabric is lightweight so this is a three season pant IMO. The color "Tusk" is darker, similar to "taupe" so hides dirt and marks better than the more usual beige would. March 26, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Close But NO Cigar I bought a pair of Columbia Cool Creek pants in 2012, and LOVED them. They are still my go to for climbing, hiking and camping. I was sad to see them discontinued. When I saw that the Royce Peak were VERY similar in design and spec, I ordered two pairs, one cargo, and one regular. Much too my disappoint, the Royce Peak were FAR thinner in material than the cool creeks (even though they are spec'd the same). The length on the Royce Peak were longer than my cool creeks even though I ordered them in the same size (32x30). The fit is the modern classic, but they flare out at the bottom (CC were much slimmer). Overall - the pants are still a great option for the price. They feature a lot of what I loved about the Cool Creek pants. I just wish the sizing was better, and the materials felt more substantial. March 25, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best pants These are the most durable, best fittiing pants I've ever owned (I have seven pair and wear them everyday). March 8, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by this product has great features Just bought two pair and I'm very satisfied with the construction of these pants however, I recommend you buy one size bigger cause they do run tight at the waist. Other than that they're great . February 27, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Pants! The fit around the waist seems slightly off (it fit a little tighter than my other pants of the same size). But they feel great to wear. Not heavy feeling and not too light where I would question the durability. They are a little stretchy which allows for better movement where other pants might restrict more. And they are water resistant. I was in a light rain with them and most of the rain just beaded up and ran off. I like them...and I just bought another pair. December 29, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Loved it - but didn't fit me well I wanted to love the pants. I'm 5'10- 180lbs and I tried on a 34x32 set and the fabric felt really cool. I loved the various pockets which didn't seem to detract from the look of the pant. The knees felt slightly roomy which was nice. Although the the 34fit well at the waist, slightly loose the leg area was a bit too tight for my liking. Not much room if you have athletic legs. 36 is a bit too big at waist but comfortable for legs. Definitely wortha look if you like straighter leg pants or fit the dimensions well. December 27, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great pant for everything I wear these pants everyday. I work outside in all weather conditions and they are very comfortable in all weather and under rain pants. They are a great pants the cargo pockets actually double as vents because the inside of them are mesh. I will definitely be buying another pair very soon. September 12, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Seems small I 0rdered same size as I've purchased in other styles. The waist seems a bit small and with no expansion elastic, I choose to play it safe and return it. August 9, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great pants! Yeah, these pants are great. They remind me of something North Face would make, but i'm glad they are Columbia. The fit feels correct and comfortable. I have bought the "regular" Royce Peak pants and I have to say i'm not a fan of the fit of those, and you would think they would be the same fit but they're not. These are so much better for hiking it's ridiculous. If your a hiker, climber, anything outdoors go with these, if your looking for something to wear to work go with the regular ones. The material is awesome and I love the Omni-Shield tech, it's one of my favorites. July 11, 2014
