great idea, poor executionI'mI bought this boot as a common problem some of us folks have on our houses, we go outside put on our bugaboots insulated to tackle the snow and everything is going well, then you get home take them off and leave them outside of your main floors to keep them clean of snow.
The problem is when we have to go again specially when you have to just run some quick errands and get back inside, you need a shoe that is easy to slip on and off easily for convenience.
Now the silcox ii is built on hard materials which is good for durability but they can be painful as on your feet, the soles are too stiff, not to mention they are annoyingly squeaky, in person they look very cheap unlike the breathtaking look of a pair of new bugaboots, them because they look very similar to the regular bogaboots but they are smaller, narrower than their bigger cousin, its worth mentioning that they are LIGHT!! The sole is almost the same, good traction, but the shoe doesn't hug your ankles because it's not fluffy enough so each stride you take has that flappy feeling like if you opened both ends of a narrow cardboard box and slipped your feet inside.
Overall great idea but it seems that there must be going back to the drawing board specially on the way the boot fits on your ankle, they made the sole stiff to compensate for that looseness but the end result is a sacrifice in comfort, I think they need to go for a fluffier and softer boot with a bigger sole frame and hug points on the calf and heel areas, and the front part of the shoe where the shin and the feet meets must be designed to fold. It's just my 2 cents but it'll be awesome to see a new prototype redesigned.
I love Columbia products, I'm very loyal to the brand and thats all I use for my job clearing snow of sidewalks and main entrances of commercial buildings so I need to have clothing that can hold up to several hours on the outside on the snow.

Slip on waterproofI have been looking for a slip on waterproof boot to go in the snow when I just need a quick slip on. They seem very warm and comfortable. These were on sale and fit the bill. Won't know how well they keep out the water and snow till winter comes around. So far they're comfy and warm.

Nice boots!Great fit & it keeps your feet nice & toasty. Avoid walking in deep snow since the boots are a little over three quarters inches high. Why tie shoestrings? Slip them on & start walking! Good design with solid surface grip.

No proportionsThe upper part comes too wide and look a little strange on the leg.
