Men's Silver Ridge™ Cargo Pant is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 192.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from What a short zipper! These pants have gone cheap. There is a 3-inch zipper now. I'm slender guy (30" waist), even with the zipper down, it's hard to pull these pants on over your hips. And forget about trying to urinate by opening the fly. I can't even get my hand inside through it. These are pants really aren't made for men. The older pair I had was really nice. The new tiny-zipper model isn't worth the money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pockets Front slash pockets should be a little deeper to keep items from falling out when reclining. Back pockets need more or better Velcro to secure properly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Pants. Little expensive. These pants are great for hiking and backpacking as well as traveling. They're lightweight and wind proof. You can also use it in cold weather. I love the multi-pockets. A tad bit expensive. I got it on sale. If the price drops, I'll definitely buy a couple more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Caribbean Pants Wore the heck out of these while in the caribbean. I am fair skinned and like to protect my skin from any burns. Were light and comfortable for long outings in the sun (walking, fishing, boating). Will buy more!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice These pants are light, comfortable, functional and actually really durable. I wear them on the trail, camping, heck! I wear them around town running errands and shopping. There so comfortable. I will be buying more pairs in different colors.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Was surprised that the pants (Blue) came with a yellow zipper on the leg pocket. No mention of the yellow zipper on the web page. Returned pants to the store. No other pants or shorts of this type have a different color zipper in the store. Either it was a reject or something else. This was my first on-line buying from the store. Won't buy again on line.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Field Pants I ordered these pants to use for field work in the wet forests of Hawai'i. They are just what I needed as they dry out quickly and stay comfortable all day. The only reason I gave 4/5 stars and a "Good" quality are the stitchings around and in the pockets are coming undone; however, I'm sure that is mostly due to the day-in day-out abuse these pants get.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these Pants These pants are lightweight, comfortable and stylish. Love these pants, hoping you make them in black soon as well.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from bad fit I bought these for my husband. They are too shiny. There are not enough secure, zipped pockets, and the backside is too tight even though the waist and length are fine. It seems as if they are simply not cut properly. There is no "give" when he sits down so he feels he would never wear them on a long plane ride. As a consequence, I ordered the Silver Ridge "stretch" to replace them. Those were worse.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pants Christmas gift for my husband who said it was just what he wanted. Put them on immediately and the fit was perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soooo comfortable I own 2 pair in different colors. They are so light weight. They are sturdy. I have a 10 year old Columbia ski jacket that is like new.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Light weight and fit for function The waist and hip location is a bit tight, while the overall cutting is good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite pair of work pants! Can't say enough great things about these pants. They're lightweight and breathable, and repel water quite wel, but they are also tough enough to handle a wide range of motion. Rode a mountain bike on a regular basis at my old job, and I had instances where the bottom of my pant legs would get caught in the gears. My other pairs of cargo pants would get torn from the gears, but these pants have been caught numerous times and haven't ripped once. I've put these pants through its paces for almost a year now and they're still going strong. My only slight disappointment would have to be the belt that comes with the pants. It looks great and doesn't get in your way, but there's no real way of securing it so that it will not loosen while you are mobile. After sprinting or biking to my next call, I would often have to stop and retighten my belt before proceeding. But other than that small misstep, I absolutely love these pants!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Cargo Pants Nice light weight pants for the hot climate of the Coastal Bend in Texas. My third pair, wear them daily. If you a on the upper end of your waist size I would recommend going up one full size as they do fit snug.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Fly Fishin' Pant Next to Simms Guide Pant these are the best. Super everyday overland pants; wading fishing pant; sittin' 'round the fire talking adventures pants. Tuck your shirt in and go to fancy places, pant. :-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great pants I bought one a few weeks earlier, and after getting it, I bought two more. Fits great. The elastic on the waistband is great if you are in-between sizes. They are very lightweight, a plus when it comes to packing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Pants These pants are very light weight and really comfortable. Reminds me of wearing wind breaker like pants, but with the cargo pockets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great day hiker Very comfortable and plenty of flex room. I bought 1 size larger to wear a base layer and worked out perfect. These pants are reallly thin and lightweight. Dry quickly and keeps wind out very well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No change in quality I have worn the Silver Ridge Convertible Pant for several years - almost every day. I never used the zip off feature to make them into shorts. So I decided to switch to the regular cargo pant version. They look better and still fit perfectly. I am 6'1" and weigh 163 pounds. The 32" waist/32" inseam sizing has not changed. I like this style because my iPhone fits perfectly in the zippered pocket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits the need........ FINALLY found the pants that fit ALL my needs when traveling.. or even at home... on the plane, semi dress events, especially every day.. Comfortable, light weight, enough secure pockets.. This one has it all.... Rain or shine, hot or cold.. This is the one.. This is my 2nd pair !!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cool & comfortable This is my 5th pair. Women's pants don't fit me real well so I buy the men's 30x30 & take up the length since small (28 or 29) lengths are not available. Wash in hotel sink, hang up and they're dry in no time. You can easily wear them the next morning.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good & Lightweight Like the material's weight, but two suggestions (1) change one of the velcro pocket closures to either a button, snap, or zipper closure and (2) belt loop positions on side and front allow the pants to not stay in position when you put anything (phone, etc) in the cargo pockets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best pants available Most comfortable pants on the planet, and very practical. Like them better than my UA pants.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good light-weight travelling pants These pants are light-weight, quick-dry travelling clothes. Ann seam and/or back zippered pocket would be a great addition to really make these pants true travelling pants.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sleek light weight pant These pants are light weight and very comfortable for every situation. I wear them to work and also on my adventures in the outdoors. There is one zippered cargo pocket, I sure wish all of them zippered shut instead of velcro. Best pants I own!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pants! I must admit that I was wary of buying nylon / polyester cargo pants for everyday use. I was unhappy with the fit and weight of my LL Bean cargo pants and found the ultra lightweight Silver Ridge cargo pants very comfortable, a perfect fit, and practical. Excellent for hot weather. Highly recommended!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Regular Fit; why not relaxed? I have nothing against these pants, but I returned them because they are regular fit, and regular fit sits below the waist. I'm a relaxed fit person who prefers pants that sit on the waist. I wish there were more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great summer work pant for the rough and tumble working man These pants were purchased as a summer work pant and held up beautifully. Performed just as promoted. Much much cooler as opposed typical work pants. Fast drying and easy to maintain per care instructions. Will definitely be buying these again!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Silver Ridge Cargo Pant carries its weight And not much weight at that. Super light to wear, fits trimly in the butt and hips. Wetted, dries quickly. My only complaint: The Velcro tab that holds pockets closed could be a little wider and coarser for a firmer grip. The right leg pocket is a perfect size for an iPhone 6 Plus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mens Silver Ridge Cargo Pant & More I have yet to be disappointed when I buy Columbia Clothing and have always received polite, professional and prompt service both when and after I purchase something

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Pants! Great summertime sport/casualwear pants. Comfy, quick drying. PLEASE do not change the design of these pants, they are perfect . Would be even better if they came in 29" length.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This product is light and airy Purchased the Pant in Tusk, but the color swatch more closely resembles the color swatch (tusk) of the convertible silver ridge Pant. More on the light side rather than being darker in hue like the on-line picture. As mentioned by other customers, the pant does run tight and small in the crotch area; resulting in having to move up in size from, such as from a 34 to 38. This is the only way to wear them in a comfortable state rather than being compressed or caressed. They do dry quickly from perspiration or light rain. I like others do desire that there were more color selections, such as black, navy blue, or dark brown accompanying the current pastel color selections.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Pants! These pants are very comfortable. I travel a lot so these pants work great for any type of activity while on the road. The pants are light and easy to pack in my suit case. I wear them on long flights because they always look great when I step off the plane. The cargo pockets provide extra space for personal items plus the zipper pocket keeps my valuables more secure. They are great for strolling around town sightseeing or a walk through the forest. Throw on a nice shirt and you are set for dinner. Columbia, please do not stop making these pants because they are so versatile!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty terrific pants!! These pants fit nicely and are very functional. I wore them on an eight hour day hike and they were comfortable and I never got hot on a 70 degree sunny and breezy day. Lots of pockets for carrying plenty of extra goodies (energy bars, cell phone, extra t/p) with a secured zippered pocket for making sure I didn't lose my car key!! I have already ordered a second pair. The only recommendation I have, is, I would like to have the zippered fly about 1/2" longer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these These pant are super quick drying. They have been put through a lot in my fishing adventures, and there are no flaws in them so far. The belt buckle is a little different, but I haven't had any issues with it. The only thing I wish they would add would be a zipper in/on the right pocket for the things I need to keep secure a little higher up than knee level.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Traveling Pants I've been travelling in Italy for the past 10 days and these pants have been perfect in terms of comfort, quick was and dry and for carrying all the travel gear in the cargo pockets. Highly recommend for spring traveling.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not satisfied I am returning these pants. Somehow, they are astonishingly fragile. The belt is ridiculous in its lack of substance, and the belt buckle is unreliable, once you figure out how it works. I've never encountered a buckle like it before. There isn't much reason to reinvent belt buckles except maybe to save money by making tiny changes. This is a piece of clothing devised by an accountant interested in maximizing profit and minimizing material costs. I am very, very disappointed. Since this was part of my first purchase, it is not an auspicious start to customer relations. I'm quite serious. My view of Columbia sportswear is not what it was. I will be asking REI clerks about their views of Columbia clothing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from silver ridge cargo pants We live in hot and humid south florida and my husband does a lot of gardening and these pants are light weight durable and quick drying. There was a problem however with the belt. It was twisted and could not be fixed as the material around the buckle was sewn in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect! Can't speak on the long term durability of these pants yet, but I've worn them to work and camping almost every day, along with another pair with different pockets, and the fit, pocket layout, breathability, and overall comfort are all excellent. Best pants I own!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Field Pants My job takes me through some serious thick forest and brush. These pants are extremely light weight and comfortable. I still routinely wear my first pair (purchased in 2013) in the field and have since bought two more colors. Although thin, the nylon ripstop holds up to constant pulls from thorns and brush. I also wear them in the winter over a wool base layer. During winter, if it's wet or windy I add waterproof rain pants but in the summer I just let them get wet and they stay comfortable and dry quickly. I've had nylon pants in the past that hang poorly and look cheap, but these hold their form well even after beating them up and washing them more than 30 times.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love these Columbia nylon pants! I love nylon cargo shorts and have been wanting some comfortable, lightweight, quick drying nylon long pants, so bought these in a 44 to be sure they were not tight. (I usually wear a 42 or 40 comfort waist). These lightweight pants are very comfortable in warm or cool weather and also for moderately cold weather over long winter underwear. Only problem is too few beltloops, but they are OK if you remove the fabric belt and use a leather belt. Since I like these pants, I recently ordered some heavier weight nylon water resistant Columbia pants.
