Men's Silver Ridge™ Convertible Pant is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 240.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hiking Pants These pant are excellent for hiking, fishing and other outdoor activities. I especially like them for my photography workshops. The cargo pockets are awesome with carrying extra batteries and filters.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SMG I am an avid golfer and fisherman and these pants provide me with the option to convert to shorts when the weather warms up and the reverse when weather turns colder. They dry quickly and are very comfortable and durable. I have many in my wardrobe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pants I am 5'10" and 235lbs. I wear a 36 waist (wear my pants just below my belly) and these fit perfect. Had a pair in the past and lasted 4 years and now seams starting to come un sewn, otherwise still good. Will buy again. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I bought two pairs for hiking the Inca Trail. I was initially concerned because the material seemed very thin but they held up great and were warm enough for cool early mornings. I carried my cell phone and a camera in a cargo pocket comfortably. The mosquitoes were bad so I never zipped off the legs and can't comment on that feature. They come with a nylon belt that clips which I took off and my 1" leather belt fit through the loops without problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Love these Pants This is my 4th pair in different colours. They are very comfortable and easy to wash. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great pants a little tight in the crotch and zipper doesn't open up far enough in my opinion. Otherwise, I love these pants. lightweight, very comfortable and functional. I now have 3 pair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Siver Ridge Cargo Pant Luv these pants.. light weight great for warm/hot weather BUT they need extra belt loops to prevent belt from riding up over pant in the hip areas! I luv the belt BUT the pant needs an extended loop that's 3 to 4 inches wide in the hip area which will also keep the belt from turning. Constantly, one has to hold the belt in place and make sure it has not turned with a loop off-setting the front connection making difficulty for initial fitting! Other than these complaints, they are great pants!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect for Summer On our recent trip to Budapest I ended up wearing these pants (more than 1 pair lol) the whole trip. They are very comfortable. The fabric breathes unlike denim type materials, making those sweltering days bearable. They wash well. There is a small amount of unraveling at sewn joints though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loose the checked luggage Reducing space is essential for long trips if the goal is to only have a carry on bag and no checked bag. Converting pants do the trick with one garment taking the space of two. No more checked luggage for me!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic I bought these for my husband who is a Land surveyor. He works outside in the hot Florida heat. He originally did not even want to try them on as they were not his usual brand. Once he wore the first pair to work- he is sold on them. He loves them!! They are light weight but durable. They move with him and he does not feel constricted at all. I just bought two more pairs for him and two for my son who is also a land surveyor.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great pants, but sizing too small I like the quality of these pants--wicking, breathable, light enough for summer wear. But none of this is very good if the sizing is off. I always wear a size 30/30 but the waist on these pants is more like a 28/29. I could button them up, but they felt too tight across the front and not enough space in the groin. I would recommend these pants if you plan to get a size 2 inches bigger on the waist than usual. I hope Colombia can exchange my pants for the same style in a size larger.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Landscaper finally found good summer work wear! I do landscape work for a living, and we are required to wear khaki colored pants. I have searched many brands and recently bought these. To-date, I am happy. One big requirement for me that these pants met was zip and/or top flap pockets. So many pants have open top pockets, which are debris catchers in my line of work. They are great in hot temps, "breathe" well, and the ability to remove the lower pant legs and have instant shorts is a big plus. I have not worn them in cooler temps and have some doubts, given they are a thinner, breathable material. But for moderate to hot temps, I like them. I also wonder how they will wear at the knee, as I bend to knees often. TBD.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for the trail Perfect for my early morning hikes. Very comfortable and functional. These pants protects me from the elements and they look great! Very pleased with the amount of pockets. Highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Pants These pants are classy and accommodating. The fabric as soft and breathable, yet sturdy. Columbia is classy, I like the small details such as the little Columbia sign on the cargo zipper pocket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from KILAMIJARO pants I bought these pants initially to use while climbing mount kilamijaro in Africa. I used them the other day to hike in to see how they would do. I really liked having the option to use as pants or shorts. The pants come with adjustable belt Which helps. The pants are really lightweight and keep you feeling cool on those hot hikes. They also provide spf50 protection if sunburn is a problem like it is for me. I highly suggest picking up a pair of these. Very high quality you can expect from Columbia.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pants Bought these for my Boy Scout. Right color, worked well on a 20 mile hike. Rained and was knee deep in a gator infested swamp. These pants held up like a champ. The material is quick dry and light weight. We use these for long hikes because they're easy to pack, light weight and easy to dry on the trail. They have the option to convert to shorts; something only a young man would like.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Fishing Pants I love the fit, the style, and the quality. I just went fishing and got extremely wet do to the choppy waters. By the time we got to the dock, I was completely dry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Father's Day My father had a pair of these and absolutely love them! It says they're fabulous for travel! So, the bottom second pair. Now that my husband has seen them, he wants a pair for himself!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Functional pants I love the convertible pants. Being able to select inseam length is important for me. As a long-legged woman, I mostly but guys pants because I can get them long enough. These pants for me run a little smaller than expected. The waist is not adjustable, and I wonder why? In previous versions it was. Guess I will have to use the belt to cinch the waist. I went one size up because others also felt the sizing is in the smaller side.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for tropics Great pants for hot humid tropical weather. I find them quick drying and feel cool to the skin. I like the L and R labels on the lower leg zipper pulls, nice touch. As shorts they still look good, not goofy like some other convertible pants out there. I wish the cargo pockets were more like a bellows pocket, but really not a big deal. (Besides, bellows pockets would provide a snag point for bushes and thorns on trail) All in all I like them a lot, I have multiple pairs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great outdoor pant! If you are looking for a pant that is great in the outdoors than look no further. These pants are incredibly durable, lightweight, breathable and comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bugs & weeds stay away When hiking here in Minnesota out in the woods I like venturing off the trails into the brush for awhile along the steams. There are allot of nasty bugs and weeds I encounter. These convertible pants keep them out and me cool with the lightweight breathable material. If they get wet they dry quickly. Size wise I encountered the 34 to be a bit small so went with the 36 waist. This size works well for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tried them & immediately bought more Thinner than some other brands but fit is great and love the rear velcro pockets and zip side pocket. I do wish there were zippers at the ankles for easier removal when converting to shorts.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Slim Fit Am 5'11", 180 lbs. Wear a 31" waist in jeans, so ordered a 32" pant. Was quite tight at the waist and very slim along thighs. Was good quality, just too slim fit for my build.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fit and perfect length These pants fit both boys quite well. The length was perfect for both with one being 5'9" and the other 6'2". The elastic in the waist and zip-off legs are great features as they grow. They also like the quick drying material for their summer activities.

I love everything abt them. I have another pair but they do not convert into shorts like these. I highly recommend these pants to anyone!! Get them u won't regret it!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 5 years going strong These pants have been through the best and worst conditions and they preform flawlessly. If you're looking for a pair of pants that you can wear in 90+ degree heat and still feel cool these are the pants for you. Despite receiving a few cuts from my camp knife and the occasional burn hole they have not ripped. The material is very tear resistant and once they get a slight tear they do not split. Going to order a new pair for this season.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Year Round Nomad/ One Pair of Pants I'm retired and currently travel full time with a carry-on back pack. Prior to departing, a friend with multiple Pacific Crest Trail, Continental Divide Trail, and Appalachian trail expeditions recommended these pants. I wore them from August of last year until this February continuously until I returned home to visit family. During this trip I gave away my heavy shorts and other pair of pants to lighten my load but kept my "go to" pants. What I love about these pants are that you can wear them for weeks at a time and they don't look dirty or "feel" grimy. I would wash them every three weeks. I wore them on my El Camino Trek in Spain to visiting Vietnam these last 7 months. Despite my continuous daily trekking, the Silver Ridge pants show no wear. even though I would overload the zipper leg pocket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Pants!!! My boyfriend at the time was a total "jeans" guy, but with an upcoming hiking trip, I wanted to find him something more lightweight. Though he was reluctant at first to try these pants, he was raving about them by the end of the trip. He loves how comfortable they are and how easy it is to switch between pants and shorts; absolutely fabulous pants!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great look The pants are lightweight, which makes them easy to pack in a suitcase. They look great, which means you can even wear them to a nice restaurant; no one would know that they can be easily converted to shorts by zippers situated just below the knees. Highly recommended!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Pant Option Wanted a good fitting pant for hiking and camping in the mountains of AZ. These fit the bill perfectly, they are functional and comfortable without being baggy like other convertible pants I've tried.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pants Really like These zip offs & am very happy to find in 'blue'. This company has excellent clothing!
Date published: 2017-04-05
Rated 4 out of 5 by from just what I was looking for Unfortunantly I can barely fit in them. I have other clothes from other companies that are the same size and fit baggy. I can barely get these buttoned. I was so excited to get these, but will have to wait until I can fit in them. Probably should send them back, but don't want all the hassle.
Date published: 2017-03-29
Rated 2 out of 5 by from who sized these things???? I am a rather slim adult male who comfortably wears 34" waist pants from any company. These pants are easily an inch and a half too small around the waist and more than that through the seat and thighs. I now have to spend money for return shipping. The sizing is so misleading, it prevents the pants from being functional. I can't speak to the quality, because I can't wear them to try them out.
Date published: 2017-03-28
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrific pants for active people I have several pairs and wear them almost daily for cycling. They are the lightest, coolest pants for that kind of vigorous work-out. You can turn them into shorts if it gets too warm. They are also just warm enough to wear in weather that's too cold for shorts.
Date published: 2017-03-04
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Runs small so returned for larger size Love the features and functions

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic travel pants I am retired now and started to travel monthly with my wife..We wanted to only bring 1 back pack each carry on. I bought 1 pair to try a 4 day vacation. It was the only pair of pants I brought,.. no shorts...We flew out of Toronto when it was -15C going south to 30C weather...It was wonderful to go from pants to shorts on the plane. I spent every day in the Ocean,..the zippered pocket was excellent for money, visa etc.Lots of excellent pockets for cell phones etc.. The pants dry very quickly, are very light in weight..the zippers work very well with no fuss...Just a excellent product..You can easily and quickly hand wash in the sink if you only bring one pair on vacation..I purchased 3 more pairs all different colours..I now have light tan, dark tan and grey and are the only pants..shorts I bring when I travel or wear on the boat. I also purchased the light windbreaker with hood tucked in the neck made from lightweight material as well.same qualities, fast drying, rain proof..Columbia in my opinion is a bit on the expensive side but the quality is worth the price.
