Rated 5 out of 5 by This product is great for very cold weather New England states are very cold this coat works great and the fact that it's water proof is even better October 1, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Excelent product The size is perfect and the quality too. May 18, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not Warm Enough It has been frigid lately and my girlfriend recommended getting a Columbia jacket with omniheat. I tried this jacket out in the cold and it did not keep me warm enough. I was shaking within minutes. Great jacket, but not built for below 0 F temperatures. February 27, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Omni Heat is a gimmick and doesn't work. COLD! If you want a warm jacket, don't be fooled by the description. This jacket is very light and is cold. The reflective liner doesn't make up for the total lack of insulation in this jacket. I made a mistake by ordering it online and was very disappointed when I got it. I have had it since November and used it in various conditions. I was even a bit chilly wearing it while snowshoeing! I have usually gotten too warm snowshoeing while wearing my previous Columbia jackets but not with this one. Don't waste your money if you want warmth. You won't get warmth with this jacket! It also doesn't have a double zipper which unzips from the bottom. Very annoying when I sit in my car or truck to drive and the jacket is riding up because I can't unzip it from the bottom. I have had Columbia jackets exclusively for many years. That will probably change now and my next jacket most likely will be another brand. Columbia, you dropped the ball on this one! Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect jacket, true to size I bought this jacket for the bitter cold midwest winters (-20 degrees wind-chills at times). Has an omni heat thermal shell and top layer that entraps the warmth of your body leaving the bitter wind-chills outside the jacket. Does exactly what is advertised, omni heat technology is amazing! I came from a $350 north face triclimate which i returned because I was still freezing my bones! This jacket is super lightweight and keeps you warm and dry no matter what the weather is outside! True to size, love the colors and the hood and zipper work flawlessly! Would def recommend this for a semi formal/casual clothing. Goes well with my pressed suit pants for work or with casual jeans or khakis. February 15, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Something for everyone? Great coat with good thermal qualities. Largely wind resistant - another plus. Fit would have been much nicer if it were offered in tall sizes. Sleeves are a bit short for my body style and I had to buy larger size to get the arm length. Now the body is too bulky! February 1, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by great jacket Great interchange jacket, three jackets in one. Plenty of useful features January 21, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by SDSports Great jacket, look good, like the option of interchange. December 26, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for winter I rarely write a review for a product unless it would be really bad or really good. I have to say that I really like this one. Recommended for everyone who lives in a city with cold winters specially with high winds like Philly that I live. December 15, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Warm and Waterproof I purchased the Columbia Summit interchange jacket after returning the Bugaboo because I ordered the wrong size. Definitely choose the large if you think you're a large because a medium didn't fit me well (5 feet 11 inches tall). The Bugaboo was a GREAT choice and I would have ordered the large but after I saw the Summit go on sale I couldn't resist spending a little extra money for it. I ordered a large in the Summit and it fits great! Freezing rain, super cold winds and our first snow didn't even phase it. The jacket is a little longer than expected but I actually like this feature. You get the feeling of a nice ski coat mixed with a sporty winter coat. The liner is really nice and warm and can be warn as it's own separate jacket system if needed. To anyone who says the omni-heat technology doesn't work, it does. You don't feel it right away putting the jacket on, but go for a walk or move around and you'll start to feel your own body eat getting trapped in the coat and keeping you toasty warm. I like all of the zipper pockets instead of velcro and the hand pockets are really soft and warm. A little extra money well spent for a nice product. December 8, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by OK for 3 seasons, not for winter, and flawed Worn outside in cold, wet weather twice now, for about half an hour to an hour both times. Temps in high 20s to low 30s, drizzle to hard rain to snow. While it kept me from freezing I wasn't ever really warm, either. And that was with a T-shirt, medium-weight long-sleeved shirt and light sweatshirt on underneath. No way is this combo going to keep me warm for extended periods in real winter temps. The inner shell has no insulation at all and I question the effectiveness of the Omni Heat "technology". Two other issues. One, the zipper is one-way only and the coat is long making sitting kind of uncomfortable. And, when I did that, the zipper came loose from the catch at the bottom and pulled apart for about 6 inches. Had a tough time getting that sorted. Two, a seam somewhere at the back of the hood leaked a bit in a hard rain. Felt a drip down the back of my neck every few minutes. If I can find it I can seal it, but that shouldn't happen. I don't think I can return it as we tossed all the packaging and my wife ordered it on sale. I'll keep it - but only for spring and fall use, and never in a hard rain. Will have to look for another combo for real winter use. Despite being a long-time Columbia fan, I do not recommend this product. November 27, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Toasty in -10° I purchased this jacket with Mountaineering in mind. We've recently began to see the snow and colder temps here in colorado. This jacket has plenty of pockets. Is unbelievably waterproof, windproof and super warm. The inner liner is a pretty classy looking jacket. Perfect for the not so frigid days. Looks better than any of the other interchange jackets. Omni heat is real. The more you move, the warmer it gets. Very comfortable. Size wise I bought the large , normally I wear medium. I planned for extra layers. With it fully zipped up I am super happy I bought the large. Chin guard could be a little snug with a neck gaiter. The only thing I wish this jacket had was underarm ventilation, temperature regulation is very important in the approach. If you wish the same, perhaps look at the Mens Lhotse jacket. That one has a skirt as well. This one does not. Hood is big enough for my climbing helmet with beanie and balaclava. I'm not a snowboarder so I'm not sure about those helmets. Overall very happy with my purchase. Especially since I bought it during the triple points time period. Sign up for greater rewards. You'll be glad you did. November 14, 2014
