Reviews

Men's Twisted Cliff™ Pant is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 41.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Nice, but could be roomier in the crotch area.
Date published: 2017-03-17
Rated 3 out of 5 by from good value for the sale price overall the pants are okay. The fit runs small and some of the stitching could be a little cleaner and tighter quality, however for sale price of 30 bucks they're a good deal

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Twisted Cliff slacks Purchased these slacks to play golf in during spring and fall Cooler weather. I like the lighter weight material and breathabilit of the slacks. Should be good for casual wear as well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable fishing pants Bought these for summer fishing. Very comfortable to wear and easy to move in. Lightweight and breathable. Only complaint is the mesh pockets. Just a personal preference. Dont seem to last as long but i also probably carry too much in them.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bought - Returned - Bought Again I followed the advice that many reviewers gave regarding the pants fitting snug and to size up. I did that and had to return them because they were too big. So I bought the right size the second time. I like the fabric and the length. I normally wear a 34x32 and first bought 36x32. The 34x32 was the correct size. I am 6', 170 lbs, flat stomach and, unfortunately, a semi-flat rear-end. (Father time has not been my friend)

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The good and the bad The pants fit well but I a was disappointed in the quality of stitching and the in the mesh pockets. I wish mesh pockets were listed as a feature as that might influence my decision to purchase (keys and other small items poke through mesh; its durability is less than non-mesh material pockets). I also wish they came with two zipped leg pockets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hubby wants 3 more pairs! Bought these for a Caribbean cruise - hubby loves the fit and function so much he's asked me to buy more for future travels! They fit great and are very flattering.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Pant Fly The pant fly on these pants are two inches shorter than most pants. I'm not sure what is considered normal but having to undo the belt and waist to function is unsatisfactory.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well made High quality. Fits well

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pants, great deal I wanted pants w/ an extra pocket that are dressier than cargo pants and these meet my needs' The fabric is light but wears well. My usual waist size is 30, but I order 32's from Columbia. The option of being able to select length is a plus.
Date published: 2016-11-27
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great slacks Great summer weight nylon / cotton fabric. Slacks look good and are easy to pack for traveling. i own two pair.
Date published: 2016-11-05
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Twisted cuff pants I was going to Europe and needed long pants to go into churches (some churches require and others don't). This was in September when it was very hot. I found the first pair in a department store and they fit well and felt good. They were very light weight and resisted wrinkling so I ordered two more pairs from the Columbia website. Yes, the Khaki is green. I am 5'10" and weigh 150 pounds and the pants were a very good fit. I ended up wearing the pants even on non-church days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wrinkle Free My husband loves these pants!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I wanted Comfortable, lightweight yet rugged. Was looking for another style of Columbia Sportswear pants that appear to be no longer available and stumbled on these Twisted Cliff pants. Couldn't be more satisfied. Just ordered another pair.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product Can't say enough... They are lightweight, functional, comfortable. Worth the price on a cool morning around camp, on the town or wherever you might need more than shorts.
Date published: 2016-06-13
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Flax is Green I ordered a waist size 1 inch larger than I usually wear because other reviews said it runs small. Turns out to be a good fit at the larger size. The color is nothing like the picture. I ordered Flax which I expected to be a khaki-ish tan. It is actually green. I like the green so I'm keeping them, but understand, these are green pants.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Pants Ordered my true size after reading all the reviews. They fit perfectly and are super comfortable. Not either baggy or too tight.Very light weight material great for warmer weather. Side zipper pocket is perfect for smartphones. Might have to order another pair.
Date published: 2016-05-21
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nicely made but terrible fit These pants are nicely made with a material they claim is 62% cotton, 38% rip stop nylon. It looks and feels like rip stop nylon. They say fit is Modern Classic. It actually is too tight up the crutch, it crowds, and shows the front stuff and is tight up the rear. The 30 in waist was a good fit but I returned them to see if the 32 would give more room in the crutch but still be acceptable in the waist. It was not.
Date published: 2016-05-21
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent comfort and durability Just the right amount of cotton, just the right amount of nylon. These pants fit, feel, and style just perfect. I usually wear them with flip flops, and we get looks together. The zippered pocket is done well, and they feel VERY durable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Come on Columbia -- offer 36x34 on other pant products I am a 2-year Columbia shareholder and I have had a three- year obsession accumulating Columbia shirts, shorts, and pants (about 40 garments in total). I just wish Columbia made more 36x34 pants or created a new waist category of 35x34 pants. These Twisted Cliff pants are EXCELLENT. I have bought a couple pairs because they come in size 36x34. I wish other Columbia pants came in 36x34.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pay Attention to the Reviews I purchased this pair of pants after having read all the reviews....that they run small, that they run short, and that there is little room in the cut for the family jewels. That said, I am a woman who bought these for myself...no "junk" to fit in the small crotch area, and I have a thick waist and not much of a butt. I ordered one waist size larger than I usually do (as per other reviews), and they fit really nice. They are still generous in the legs, but I love the lightweight rip-stop material, I love that they don't have flap pockets, love the zip cargo pocket. Overall, I really like these, but I ordered them knowing that the cut is a bit quirky. I gave three stars because I am happy with them for my use, but they are indeed cut quite differently from most Columbia pants.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Twisted Cliff Pants Very comfortable pants, they are great for traveling. After sitting all day in an airliner they still look great. Zipper pocket on the right leg is the idea place for my smartphone, it's big enough for the iPhone 6s or the big Samsung phone. The pants do run slightly long, possibly because they ride a little lower on the hip than the classic jeans I'm comparing them to.
Date published: 2015-09-07
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrific & Value These pants keep a trim feel and look. They are a value at the regular but at the sale price an absolute give away.
Date published: 2015-08-23
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Functionality with modernest in mind The material is just the right amount to maintain its form and shape (not too heavy or too thin). Washes well and dries well according to the labeling with minimal wrinkling. Wide five belt loops enables the use of a thick leather belt with the rear belt loop being wide enough to keep the pants firmly in place, at the hips. Pockets are mesh and do afford air movement; with the right side zipper pocket designed for storage of a cellular device or other small item(s). Length is true to sizing, but the waist fits is a little snug, so if you need a little more room, then go one size up in the waist line. The width of the leg opens are nominal, so they do flair well over low cut shoes, and imagine they would too over hiking boots. The color is true, just wish black was an offered color choice as well.
Date published: 2015-07-04
Rated 1 out of 5 by from too tight in the crotch, no security pocket These pants run small/tight. I'd call it a slim fit or athletic fit. Other reviews said this. Keeping this in mind, I ordered a size up from my usual size. The problem I found is in the crotch; it is too tight, making the pants very uncomfortable. It seems like a fit appropriate to skinny jeans, not to hiking/travel pants. I was also disappointed not to find the hidden security some other Columbia pants have. (The ROC and Peak to Road pants, for example.) I find these perfect for holding a passport or other valuables while traveling. The description lists a "Zip-closed security pocket", but this must refer to one of the exterior pockets with zippers. Columbia, these hidden pockets are a big selling point, please be clearer in your descriptions! It's a shame, because the material and construction seems great. I will be returning the pants, I do not recommend them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from best pants ever I have ordered many pairs of pants from Columbia. These are absolutely the best I have ever purchased. I am in the process of ordering several more pairs.
Date published: 2015-05-20
Rated 2 out of 5 by from This product runs small and short The quality looked good as well as the workmanship and styling. It ran small at the wAist and short by about 2" at the seam.
Date published: 2015-04-29
Rated 4 out of 5 by from comfy but dye problems I love these pants. They are so comfortable and fit well, requiring no adjustments. The only problem was that the darker pair had what looked like an un dyed patch near one pocket. The lighter pair had a bit of a yellowish spot. Wearing them anyway. The positioning of the pockets is great. Wish I could wear them all the time instead of having to "dress up" several times a week.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Twisted Cliff pant Great product! -- Just ordered (and received very timely) my third pair. Highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great through the leg. The waist may run a tad small but the legs (especially through the thighs) run a bit bigger.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love them pants! Very light weight, comfortable pants. Visited two different stores today just to find another pair. What only three colors? disappointed. Please offer more colors. Perfect for Florida spring, summer and fall wear. indoors and out. Love the zip thigh pocket. Perfect for my phone or sunglass case. Just in case other mfgrs. are reading this. MOST PEOPLE TODAY USE A CELL PHONE. MAKE POCKETS FOR THEM.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for a female…. It is challenging for me to find women's pants long enough so I decided to try mens. The 32/34 are perfect (a little big in the waist, but comfortable in the hips). I love these paints, super comfortable, easy to wash, and no ironing! Given these fit me well, I am thinking they may be snug in some areas for the men…..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Lightweight Pant These pants are perfect for Spring and Fall when it is too cool for shorts. They are also perfect for summer when you need to wear long pants.
Date published: 2014-03-24
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Previous reviews were right I bought these for my husband because they were nice and lightweight and he wasn't using the zip off feature of convertible pants. Waist size and length were perfect but the crotch and thighs were extremely tight for no reason as my husband is not overweight. I've never had columbia pants like that. They are being returned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the comfort and fit Perfect fit and very comfortable except I required a 29 inch length and had it altered at very little cost. Will order more.
Date published: 2014-02-22
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Of the three pairs I tried to buy, these were the worst. They are made for someone with 36 inch waist, but their crotch is next to thier belly button and they have bean pole legs. They pinch in all the wrong places unless you are a 36-32 with no fat or muscle tone. The material is paper thin and I could see the threads easily tearing out. I wouldn't rexcommend any of the Columbia pants. I dont know who they fit them for or why they are such cheap material. Truly disappointing experience because I haven't had issues with their other products.
Date published: 2014-01-18
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Tight fit Waist size is correct but the crotch and thigh areas are too small/tight. Zipper is not long enough. I am a thin guy but even these areas are tight and uncomfortable for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best fitting Columbia pants I'm a size 34/29. These are the nicest and best fitting pants that I've purchased from Columbia. Never worn them outdoors. I wear these out regularly.
