Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 30 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by great rain coat and windbreaker I am 6'4" 215lbs and got the XLT so I can layer with the Columbia Mountain fleece under during the cold. Perfect fit on my long arms and plenty of length in the back. Not sure I would pay $70 for a rain coat but I had a promo code and got it for $40. Great buy at that price... April 28, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good around rain jacket. The jacket does run a bit small, where I normally wear a XL Tall I ordered a 2XL Tall and like other reviews indicated the arms run a bit small so this 2XL was just right. Jacket is comfortable and breaths well. April 21, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good product A little small on arms, a little big on body, but adjustable on body. I wish xlt came with larger arm length. I bought 2xlt because I am 6 ft 10 and have long arms. I weigh 235. It fits when I adjust the bottom. I like it a lot, thanks April 17, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Fit, Nice Minimal Design I'm 6'5", 210 pounds and have really long arms and wide shoulders. Most coats either hike up in the back or are too short in the sleeves. I bought the 2XL-Tall in this and it fits great...plenty of room to wear a heavy fleece underneath. I like the minimal-design of this coat as well...I bought a black one and it is very sleek. My only complaints are that there is no inside or breast pocket and the zipper is a bit small. April 13, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Breathability I have been looking for a lightweight water repellant and breathable jacket to wear on hikes and biking in 40 - 50 degree weather. I walked yesterday in the wind and ice and light rain, and was really impressed with this jacket. Looks like I'll be wearing it a lot. I wish it had zippered pockets and pit zips. April 13, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Runs a little small, very nice I LOVE this jacket, but think it would be better with an inside pocket. EXTREMELY LIGHT - very nice !! March 24, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not Proportioned for the Tall Great looking jacket, well constructed and from when I tried it on it appeared to be very breathable. However, it was not proportioned appropriately for me. I am 6'5" weigh 230 lbs and have a 36 1/2" sleeve length. XL-Tall is my jacket size except when the jacket is cut slim or very fitter. The jacket fit everywhere except the arm holes and sleeves. The arm holes were cut high -- tight under the arms -- and the sleeves were an inch too short with the jacket on over a T-Shirt. No way I would be able to wear a fleece under it. Had to send it back. March 19, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Jacket I am 6'5" 230 lbs and normally wear a L shirt. I ordered XL tall and it is the perfect size. Big enough that I can comfortably layer underneath it. I wear mine almost daily on my motorcycle to cut the wind and it works well and has provided good rain protection. I like the construction of the jacket and it feels like it will last. The only criticism I have is that I wish it had a chest pocket. January 27, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Keeps you dry Bought this for my son who is a truck driver and needed to stay dry in rain. He says this Columbia jacket is great. January 8, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by shoulder and arm tight fit seem to read many reviews respecting tight fit on shoulders and arms , maybe the manufacturer would like to comment on why ; why would clothing made of non stretch fabric be made to be so restrictive ? December 26, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by The only size 2XLT rain gear I could find... It looks great, and it's lightweight and pretty comfortable, though it doesn't breathe very well. It's not very durable – after a month of regular use in Portland it's started leaking in various spots, and I broke through the elbow without enough force to leave a bruise or scratch on my skin. I wouldn't set out to buy it again, but there aren't really many/any options in my size. For the price, I expect more...an inside pocket would be greatly appreciated. December 18, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Annoyances Very basic rain jacket. There are two things that annoy me about it though. 1) Pockets are uneven in depth (still functional, but just QA niggle) 2) Sleeves are too tight. If I'm wearing anything of substance long-sleeve underneath, the lining comes out at the cuffs when I put it on. A bit uncomfortable. November 25, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great jacket for all weather This great looking fall jacket keeps you dry in the rain and warm in the cold. November 5, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great fitting I am 6'2 and 400lbs and this jacket fits perfect as a 4XT. Breathable, lightweight and water resistant. Perfect throw on and go jacket. It fits well and I have comfortable room to maneuver. October 31, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Tall size - sleeves are too short Seems like a nice jacket, but the sleeves are too short. I have a few other Columbia jackets in the same size (LT) that fit perfectly. Not sure why this one is so short. October 28, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by fitting is odd First, let me say that i love Columbia jackets/coats. I loved my 15 year old parka that i scoured ebay for a used one of the exact model when the old one went out. I love my 15 year old watertight jacket too. my son got one of these last year and it fit me perfectly, so i decided to get one for myself. when i got it, the arms fit 2 sizes smaller than the EXACT same one my son had. This is also after buying and returning a windbreaker that felt like it was made of tissue paper. Luckily, Columbia is incredible about returns and have had no problems returning my jackets to order another. Now, i have to figure out how get the correct fit without losing more money in the process of returns and time. I still love Columbia, but i know that if i cant try it on in a store then fit issues may arise. September 3, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Has a hood I bought this item larger than I normally wear so I can layer clothing underneath. June 24, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love this jacket I love the jacket! It fits great! June 14, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not as good as the original I will never forget the day. It was the Sunday, 8/3/2014. My wife (who was 6 months pregnant at the time) went to the movies to watch Guardians of the Galaxy, knowing that the theatre is usually chilly, I grabbed Columbia Men's Watertight Jacket for her comfort. Today however would prove to be different as our viewing areas proved to be quite comfortable. Over the course of the next couple hours we marveled (pun intended) at James Gunn's cinematic masterpiece. Later that evening I ventured out to the store and much to my horror, discovered that my beloved Columbia Men's Tall Watertight Rain Jacket, Black/Charcoal, 3XT had been left behind. I called the movie theater, and as I feared it was not turned in. As such, Guardian of the Galaxy well forever have a taint about it due to this personal tragedy. In my attempt to replace the original, I purchased this model...sadly it did not live up to its namesake. It has somewhat of a slim fit, the sleeves were not as long, and elastic had been added to the cuffs. This was a far cry from the original that had seen me through the Rainy Rock on the Range of 2014 as well as so many rainy walks to class and work. So, to anyone from Columbia that may read my review. I beg you to bring back the original design. It was the greatest light jacket I've ever owned. May 22, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by REALLY tight sleeves and shoulders I got an XL Tall. I am not fat, but I'm 6'5" and have some muscle too me. The sleeves on this thing must be designed for a runners build with tooth pic arms m, because my arms are extremely snug, my forearms to the point that I'm sure I'm going to bust a seam. To wear a long sleeve under this jacket is next to impossible. And the lining pulls out at the endof the sleeves. It is odd because the torso fits perfectly. If you have any kink of muscle on your arms you will want to go up a size! I'm the idiot that ripped off the tags excited to try my new jacket, only to find it was not the right fit... I tried on other jackets in store so I thought I was safe to buy online, but I guess not. May 1, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Jacket This jacket is extremely hydrophobic but breezy! Usually I have trouble finding long enough sleeves, but these are perfect. I would like to have more pockets and not to have the netting but overall I am really impressed! May 1, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Product The Watertight II Jacket (XLT) is a great all-weather product. The sleeves are a little tight when I wear a sweater. March 17, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Overall Good Jacket We have been buying Columbia jackets for years and have always enjoyed the inner pocket. Disappointed that this jacket does not have one. Also, the inner lining in the sleeves slide out each time you put it on so you are forced to have to push it back in. January 21, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Waterproof Jacket I bought this to replace an older similar jacket because the price was right. I find it to be as good as the similar jacket under a competitor's name as far as waterproof is concerned. Additionally, it is large enough to allow layering of jackets under it so you can wear it in varying temperature days. I am very happy with my jacket. It arrived on a rainy day, so I got to use it right away. January 1, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Geared Up! After ordering the Interchange Bugaboo 3-in-1 jacket, I knew I wanted a good quality, rugged, breathable, and packable rain jacket that would fit me correctly, especially for camping, so I figured I would try this one out. Again, although I have only had this coat for a month, for the few times I have worn it so far, this has also proven to be a great coat. My hope is that it will live up to the qualities that it advertises during the spring, fall, rainy summer days, and during those rainy camping times. I look forward Two thumbs up indeed. December 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by rain I live in Florida it has been tested well and keep me dry. March 19, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Kind of a Short Tall I have an Eddie Bauer XLT jacket that fits great but is too warm when the temp is over mid 60s. The sleeves on this jacket are ~3" shorter. It would probably be great if you are around 6'2". Not that there is anything wrong with being 6'2",but as tall jackets go this one is pretty short. However since I was looking for a warmer weather rain jacket, I am going to go ahead and keep my short sleeve jacket. March 13, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Fine Jacket This jacket is fine, but I wish they would take into account the Big&Large sizes. It's not that it didn't fit, but it was a tight fit. Trim small people may like that, but larger people (or at least I do) like to have a little more breathing room in our jackets. Again, it's not that it didn't fit, it is just a snug fit. March 8, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Buy It You'll Like It This jacket is an excellent product. I am 6'5'' so it is difficult to find clothing particularly outer garments that actually fit. It is definitely water proof and wind resistant. I have worn it in western Washington January weather and it performs better than advertised. January 22, 2014
