Rated 4 out of 5 by Omni Heat Works This handsome coat kept me warm and moving on the coldest day of the year so far! All I added to it were gloves and a toque. (and street clothes, of course) It's a little short on pockets, but otherwise a great coat! February 15, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Winter Coat I'm a New York resident that has been living in the south for the last few years and needed a good winter coat to keep me warm, but not overheated. This Columbia Whirlibird is everything I wanted and more. I'm 6'5 and about 330 this coat is very comfortable for me and keeps me warm in -20 degree weather. Great investment for fighting the cold of the North East. February 14, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Whirlibird jacket Great jacket, well ventilated, warm but not hot Great wind breaking ability. Could use a few more pockets. Since they run a little small I bought a 4xl. Plenty big. January 3, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Coat is useless during the winter. I purchased this coat from a local store in 2014 for nearly $300 (Canadian). This was not the first Columbia coat I own, however it will be the last. The outer shell is a little large and the liner is quite small. The coat looks very nice, but that undersized Omni-Heat liner is useless and will not keep you warm. If it's -34* or just 34 you'll still be cold, do yourselves a favor and get something else, it's not worth it. December 1, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great jacket! This has been a solid jacket. I have only used it during the spring in Cleveland, but so far so good. April 11, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Warm and works great The coat does run smaller than usually, but I purchased it a little larger than usual as I layer underneath extensively in the winter. The coat is used as a parka, with three to four base layers built up under it. I have lost 75 lbs since I purchased the jacket with about 40lbs more to go so it is loose now but with the base layers fits perfect so I am glad it runs small. I will reorder when my weight gets to where I intend for it to get. I wear it using a 18 inch dob telescope in the West Desert in Utah and as mentioned, with layers, I sometimes get too hot. Rated 1 out of 5 by Loved the plaid fabric Loved the color/design of this jacket, but the arms were too small for the tall extra large. When I ordered the tall XXL, the body was wider, but the arms were still too tight. Will be returning the garment as it didn't work for a huskier body type. December 16, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Way too small This jacket did not come close to fitting my normal size. It was tight at the shoulders and waist, felt two sizes smaller than normal at a minimum. Had to return at my expense. December 14, 2014
