Rated 5 out of 5 by macaw and labor blue are both bright I order two jackets for my families and they both enjoy the items. The labor blue looks more neat, while the macaw blue is easier to keep it clean. The jackets are comfortable for everyday purpose even if they are not big fans of outdoor advfentures :) October 3, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excited to wear I haven't been able to wear this in the winter yet, but I'm excited to try it out. I wore it around the house and it left me feeling very warm and comfortable. The quality is excellent and the colors are vibrant! I'm only giving it a four for function until I actually get to experience it in the worst of our MN weather. I purchased this with the intent of having to walk around campus so I'm optimistic that the functional hood and layers, will provide more then enough warmth and protection from our brutal winters. I purchased a large since many said that it runs a little small. I normally wear Medium shirts. The large is perfect, leaving enough room for a hoodie without feeling constricted. The jacket still allows some curves so you don't look completely boxy. September 17, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Runs Small Based on the size chart this should have fit but it was tight and very bulky. September 17, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Beautiful jacket! I am loving my jacket! I am 5'9" and 160lbs and the size M fits me perfectly! If I take the inner part out then the jacket fits a bit loos but not big. Sleeves are long enough for my long arms. I will be using it for skiing but also for hiking (without the inner part) Beautiful jacket , great quality. Long enough to cover lover back! I will be all cozy on the hills this coming winter. I purchased this jacket in size M and the "blue maccaw" color to combine with my Columbia Veloca Vixen pants in white color. A beautiful combination!! Both items are super comfy and warm!!! August 31, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Interchange It is an excellent product, I loved it May 19, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great jacket! I have owned a Columbia jacket for the 20+ years. This new omnitech heat really cuts down on the bulk of the jacket without losing the warmth needed for sub zero temperatures. I measured myself using the sizing guide provided by Columbia and the fit is PERFECT!! Wore the jacket skiing and never once felt cold. LOVE this jacket. One request...can you put the thumb-hole on the sleeve of the inside liner?? Thanks! March 25, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great for me I cannot attest to it's waterproof-ness, in like major rains. But i was out in the snow in it and never had a problem. It kept me very warm and I really like the inner jacket just on it's own for cool days. I like how big the hood is because even with my hair in a ponytail it covered my whole head, and my ponytail didn't push it back. Though I know I could 'fit' a medium, I got a large because I like to wear layers, I have a larger chest size and being pregnant I knew my tummy would only get bigger this winter. The size fits good and didn't feel too big. At this point I can still zip it up and I think one layer will be a good spring coat around here as the weather is unpredictable. March 14, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Wears out easily in the cuffs This is the perfect coat it keeps me warm and dry. Very disappointed that the cuffs and the bottoms of the sleeves wore out. I didn't expect to pay this much money to be able to wear it for only one winter. Decided I'm going back to my coat(another brand) that I have had for 10 years and has held up. March 8, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by great jacket! My daughter loved the jacket. She is in college and does most of the walking around campus. She loved it because it's rain proof and warm. February 26, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by NOT WATERPROOF I live and work in coastal AL as a marine scientist and purchased the women's whirlibird jacket, this Christmas, both for its warmth and its waterproof claim. I got caught out in the rain a couple days ago (temperature was ~58oF) and after about 30-45 minutes of hiking through the rain I was soaked clear through to my underwear (I was also wearing a pair of men's rebel roamer rain pants, brand new first time worn) top and bottom. Imagine my disappointment, and it was still another 45 minutes (in the rain) back to the truck. As a winter/warm jacket I love this jacket, I'm 5'9 and 170 lbs and the medium fits me great, the sleeves/torso are long enough, the hood keeps rain and wind off my face. It's comfortable and until I got caught in a rainstorm this past weekend I had no complaints about it but it's suppose to be waterproof (even says so on the sleeve) and it very much was not. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Winter Coat!!!! I got this coat a during the big freeze (-19F) that is gripping half of the country and I LOVE it! Perfect time to test it. I have been outside shoveling, skiing and just walking my dog. I can't get over how this coat keeps the heat in without sweating. Even in below temps! I love the option of the vents near in the arm pit area for any skiing activity and being able to take the liner out (whenever it gets warm again). Its not a heavy nor bulky coat. I love the zipper pockets inside and outside to keep your electronics/valuables safe and dry. Overall great coat! I've been looking for a long time. Worth the buy! February 20, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awsome Jacket! It's really warm and definitely waterproof. Best jacket ever. My height is 5 7" and my weight is 121 pounds. I decided to go for M size and it was perfect! There is room for other sweater. February 11, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great winter coat I bought this coat because I needed a coat that will keep me warm in these Wyoming winters and still look classy. I am super happy with it! I am the type of person who freezes just by getting in a car that hasn't yet warmed up. The Whirlibird Interchange has done its job and then some! I am now warm whenever I'm wearing it. I usually layer, but with this coat I don't need to! Best purchase I've made in a while! February 7, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Buy! I love it! Light weight coat, easy to move around in and durable. I'm very happy with my purchase. February 6, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by new winter coat Looks and feels great! This is my second columbia coat and it's so warm. The inside layer is great for spring and fall too! February 4, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Bought my Own My mother-in-law and I both picked this (men's version# coat out for my boyfriend a year or two ago. I began wearing it this year and loved it so I finally decided to purchase my own...and a ladies one. The coat has some stray fibers which is disappointing considering it's a $200 coat. On the plus side, I can go out with a tank top under #if I wanted to# and the only thing that would get cold would be the parts not covered by my coat #face, hands, etc). This coat is lightweight and warm! I LOVE IT! January 21, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very Lightweight and Functional My wife loves it! Warm enough for most days, not near the bulk of other parkas she owns. Only con is that sleeves seem long but otherwise great product January 15, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by AWESOME I purchased this coat 11/27/14 and I've worn it for a little over a month. I wanted to wait and try in all weather conditions before reviewing. I must say in Pennsylvania we have all kinds of weather and today it was 9 degrees all day. I was outside watching my husband shovel snow for about 30 minutes and I was NOT cold even in 9 degree weather. It's almost form fitting which I prefer and I've worn with a sweater and did not feel like I was suffocating, I don't like to feel confined. The sleeves are a tad long but I prefer that than them being short. It feels great when I have a seatbelt on in the car, it's not puffy or bunchy. It's 2 coats in one but it's light weight. I would/ have recommended this coat to family and friends. It's a bit costly but well worth the price. January 7, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very happy with this jacket! I love this jacket! Denver hasn't gotten a ton of cold days as yet but this worked wonderfully for our recent storm system. Went snow shoeing and sledding with my family and had to unzip the arm vents so it was plenty warm. I got a large in the blue and am very happy with both choices. I'm 5'10 with a more athletic build so I'm not super slender and have longer arms. I've tried North Face, Spider and other high end brands and their sleeves simply are not long enough. Not the csae with Columbia! I also like that there is room for a sweater or layers if needed. January 3, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very nice jacket Wanted to get a jacket that would keep me warm. The jacket is definitely runs small but still fits. Only complaint is that the the jacket pulls a little underneath your arms but hopefully it will break in soon. December 26, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by for the minnesota weather Jacket fit extremely large. I would sit down and it woukd puff and bunch in my mid section. My other whirlibird i bought 2 winters ago, ran small but it was perfect for me. This jacket however, didnt run small. December 21, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great....but.... I love the jacked. I was just disappointed that when I took the outer shell off the sleeves of the inner jacket were slightly soiled. I tried to wash it and the stains will not come out. Other than that, the jacket is incredibly warm and fits well. It meets my needs. December 19, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Showing wear I wore this for the first time on a ski trip to Colorado. Already noticing wear on the outside of the sleeve. Color has rubbed off and looks like a few snags. Thought this should hold up better after 4 wearings December 18, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Warm and Dry I absolutely adore this coat! I work outside a lot and when I was this jacket kept me warm and comfortable. Of course I did layer up a little, but it got warm fast I had to delayer! Great Product!! December 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice and Warm I bought this coat for my friend who is always cold when walking. She commented that this was the warmest coat she had ever owned. Great purchase for a gift! December 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great jacket, beware the black print! Loved the quality of the jacket, fit as I expected. I wear a size 14 and l/xl tops, the xl jacket fit great, a little snug in the chest. I ordered the black print but it looked awful in person, there's a lot of hot pink and purple. It would be great for a 90s party, but not for a winter coat. I returned for the black one and I'm very satisfied. The omni heat works great, but I went out on a really cold night and thought it would have kept me warmer. December 7, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great features I bought this for my daughter, she really likes the style but she wishes the hood had more protection/or warmth to it. She is a preschool teacher and has to go outside, so she has to add another layer to go with this. December 6, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Exactly what I wanted! This jacket has worked out great in the short time I have had it! It fits great and has been warm. I even have some extra room for a sweater or hoodie, if need be. I went with a small because I am petite. December 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by She Loves it!!! I bought this for my wife on a whim and she just loves this jacket! She says it's lightwieght yet warm. She also likes the way it covers her butt and the hood detaches. Her only complaint is that the sleeves are very long and she has to fold them up... All in All-GREAT COAT! November 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Sizing I am anywhere from a large to an extra large so I got an 1x and fits me perfect a little loose which I wanted. My friend has a large and she said she wished she got a size up since she can't wear anything heavy with it like sweatshirts or sweaters. I tried hers on and I'm glad I did it was snug. Sizing said I was a large November 20, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Absolutely Love This! I am currently on deployment and needed a jacket in a hurry.. could already see snow on the mountains and rain and begun.. this jacket is absolutely perfect! I purchased a medium in the black print (which is way more gorgeous in person) and it fits perfect and looks great. Definitely could not have asked for a better jacket for such a great price! November 13, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic! I needed a heavier coat for the bleak Idaho winters that I experience, so I obviously came to Columbia's site to find a quality product. I fell in love with this coat when I saw it online, and even more when I got it in the mail. It is perfect. It's long, warm, and everything I was looking for. We've had some pretty cold mornings so far, but I have been nice and toasty warm inside my new coat. I've also received many compliments about it. Two thumbs way, way up. November 6, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Coat Keeps me warm - even in Rexburg, Idaho! October 22, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Runs small not large I ordered this jacket and after reading other reviews, I ordered a small instead of the medium I usually get. Other reviews stated the wearers size and that it ran large. I disagree. I am 5'2", 120lbs, with an athletic build, and this jacket fits quite snugly. I was think that it runs small and that I wish I would have gotten a medium instead. Other than that, functionality is great, and I chose a 3 in 1 for added warmth because I do not handle the cold well. October 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great jacket, completely versatile This jacket is super high quality. I'm a college student in Minnesota, we have freezing winters so walks to class can be brutal. This jacket will definetly keep me warm and as hard as it was so spend the Money so worth it! Also had three ways you can where it if some winter days are warmer or cooler than others! September 24, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Love it! My first ski jacket. I loved it. I'm petite 5'2 and 110lbs. I ordered a size S after reading all the reviews. No regrets. It runs a little big for me but I can see myself wearing more layers and it will fit perfect. I can see how practical it is to have two pieces jacket like this one. Take off one when indoor and put on extra when outdoor to keep myself warmer. Material feels good, yet to use, hope it is very waterproof. September 20, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Just great Very nice, good quality jacket for winter. September 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great coat I love this coat ~ I wear some piece of it nearly everyday. Have owned in since 2011 ~ Great for winter through it can be bulky if you wear a sweat shirt under it. The inner liner is great in cooler weather or rain... LOVE IT March 28, 2015
