General Terms and Conditions
The Columbia Sportswear Greater Rewards program (“membership") is sponsored by Columbia Sportswear Company (or “Columbia”). By becoming a member of the Greater Rewards program, members agree to receive advertising, marketing materials and other communications from Columbia except where expressly disallowed as a profile preference. The Columbia logo, Greater Rewards logo and other logos and taglines are the intellectual property of Columbia. Membership rules are void to the extent where prohibited by law. Taxes may apply where required by law. Enrollment becomes effective and acceptance of these terms and conditions begins when a new member enrolls in the Greater Rewards program.
Employees of Columbia are not eligible for membership in Greater Rewards.
Columbia may change Greater Rewards program rules, regulations, benefits, conditions of participation, or point levels for rewards, in whole or in part, at any time without notice, even though changes may affect the value of the points already accumulated. Columbia Sportswear may, at any time, terminate or modify the Greater Rewards program by posting the changes on Columbia.com/GreaterRewards
Columbia reserves the right to make Greater Rewards points and promotional offers available to select members based on purchase activity, geographic location, program participation, or information supplied by the member. Columbia also reserves the right to cease communication to any member at its sole discretion.
You are responsible for any tax liability related to your participation in and/or your purchase of any of the benefits associated with the Greater Rewards program.
These Terms and Conditions shall be construed and interpreted under the laws of Oregon, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Abuse of the Greater Rewards program, including failure to follow program policies and procedures, the sale or barter of Promotional Promotional Reward Certificates, product, points or promotional offers and any misrepresentation of fact relating thereto or other improper conduct as determined by Columbia in its sole judgment, may result in cancellation of the member’s account and future disqualification from program participation, forfeiture of all points accrued, cancellation of previously issued but unused Promotional Promotional Reward Certificates, and termination of the business relationship with Columbia. In connection with the enforcement of any of the terms and conditions governing the Greater Rewards program, Columbia reserves the right to take appropriate legal action, as it deems necessary, and to recover damages, attorneys’ fees and court costs. Columbia reserves the right to interpret and apply the policies and procedures communicated in these terms and conditions. All determinations by Columbia shall be final and conclusive in each case. These terms and conditions supersede all previously published terms and conditions.
Become a Member
The Columbia Sportswear Greater Rewards program ("membership") is open to residents of the United States (excluding Puerto Rico and U.S. territories) at least 18 years of age, who provide and maintain a working e-mail address. Communications about the program, including changes, primarily will be electronic by e-mail or on Columbia.com/GreaterRewards
. By joining the program, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age or older, and by using this program, you agree to the Rules of the program. If you are between 18 and the age of majority (18, 19 or 21 years old, depending on where you live), you agree that you have obtained permission from your parent or legal guardian to be a member of the program. Your membership is nontransferable and is subject to present and future program rules. Your membership is valid only at participating Columbia Sportswear U.S. Retail Store locations, Outlet Store locations and at Columbia.com.
As a member of the Greater Rewards program you will earn 10 points for nearly every $1 you spend on Net Qualifying Purchases (Net Qualifying Purchases is defined as purchases less Non-Qualifying Purchases. See "Non-Qualifying Purchases" below when you identify yourself at the time of purchase in store at Columbia Sportswear or online at Columbia.com. To earn points at Columbia.com, you must set up a Columbia.com account. Points will post to your account approximately 14 days from purchase date, delivery date or shipment date (they will be viewable as “pending” before that). Point calculations are based on dollars spent at checkout on qualifying purchases. When qualifying purchases are returned, points will be deducted from your Greater Rewards program account equal to the amount of points earned for that purchase. Points and Promotional Reward Certificates have no cash value and do not constitute property of the member. You cannot give or transfer your points or Promotional Reward Certificates to anyone else. Columbia Sportswear is not responsible for communications, including Promotional Reward Certificates, lost due to change of address, change of e-mail address or other changes in contact information. Other restrictions or exclusions may apply.
For every 1000 points you earn in the Greater Rewards program, you will receive a Promotional Reward Certificate redeemable for a $5 discount off your future qualifying purchase at participating Columbia Sportswear retail store locations or at Columbia.com. Promotional Reward Certificates are not valid outside of Columbia Sportswear retail stores. 1000 points are automatically deducted from your account for every $5 in Promotional Reward Certificate value issued to you. Promotional Reward Certificates are not transferable and may only be used by the member to whom issued. Promotional Reward Certificates will be automatically issued via email (to your email address on your account profile) approximately 3 weeks after reaching the 1000-point threshold. Promotional Reward Certificates are coupons for discounts off future Qualifying Purchases at participating Columbia Sportswear Retail Store locations, Outlet Store locations or at Columbia.com and may only be redeemed for a discount off purchase amounts equal to or greater than the amount of the sum of the Promotional Reward Certificate(s) presented for redemption. Promotional Reward Certificates may be used in conjunction with most other discounts or offers toward the Qualifying Purchase of products, not to exceed the purchase amount. In the event that you accumulate more than 1000 points, we will issue you rewards in 1000 point ($5) increments. Unless noted otherwise on the Promotional Reward Certificate, each Promotional Reward Certificate will expire if not redeemed within 180 days from the date it is issued. Promotional Reward Certificates have no cash value. Promotional Reward Certificates may be used only once. In the event that you lose a Promotional Reward Certificate and that certificate has not expired or been used, call us at 1–800–MA-BOYLE (1-800-622-6953) or email us
to have it emailed to you again. The rewards structure is subject to modification, cancellation, or limitation at Columbia’s discretion, with or without notice. The number of points required to redeem any reward may be increased, any reward may be withdrawn, and restrictions on any reward or its redemption may be imposed at any time.
The following items are considered Non-Qualifying Purchases for which points will not be awarded: (i) purchases made for resale, (ii) charges for sales tax, state fees, shipping charges, delivery charges, service charges and restocking fees, (iii) Columbia Sportswear gift cards, gift certificates and merchandise credit, (iv) certain items that are excluded in particular promotions, (v) the value purchased with a Columbia Merchandise Credit, items purchased at a Columbia Sportswear Employee Store and (vi) other excluded charges.
The following items are considered non-qualifying redemptions for which Promotional Reward Certificates may not be redeemed: prior purchases, purchase of Columbia Sportswear Gift Cards, purchases made for resale, sales tax, state fees, shipping charges, delivery charges, service charges and restocking fees. Other exclusions may apply.
Points not converted to Promotional Reward Certificates will expire 12 months from issuance. Issuance is defined as the point at which points transfer from “pending” to “posted”. (See the section on “Earn Points” for more details.)
Membership Inactivation, Cancellation, Expiration and Termination
Greater Rewards program members who make no qualifying purchases during any continuous (rolling) 24-month period, will have their membership automatically expire on the last day of the 24th month of account inactivity and the account will be inactivated.
You may cancel your membership at any time by notifying Member Services. Please note this may take up to 4 weeks to finalize. Upon cancellation your membership will be inactivated.
If your membership is cancelled or inactivated, any remaining points and unused Promotional Reward Certificates will be forfeited.
If at any time, your point balance becomes negative as a result of a returned purchase(s) we will deduct the number of points corresponding with your return from your account. In such a case, we reserve the right to immediately cancel any or all outstanding Promotional Reward Certificates issued from your account. We may also terminate your account. Columbia Sportswear reserves the right to terminate your membership for any reason or no reason and at its sole discretion.
You may opt out of e-mail communications and still remain a member in good standing. Please note that e-mail is the primary source of communication for Greater Rewards and opting out of program communications will limit your participation and value.
