I mention cross over bag which means cross over between day-to-day office use, weekend day field pack trips and travel carry on luggage. I just transitioned from a shoulder bag that I use daly which I thought was the bomb... It was a name brand which I have had for (6) years that has worked wonderfully world wide. This bag makes the crossover by being slightly larger but meets all the abilities of my previous bag which I "gifted" to my (17) year old high school daughter. The functionality of this bag after this trip to Afghnstn is going to move me to affect change and purchase the Columbia Axel Hauler 28" & 22". This is a shift from high end designer luggage to more functional pieces that are more diverse. MMW

Good size. One of the only packs this size witha functional zipper.

I use this bag for school and hiking. Love the space and pockets througout the bag. The Lumbar support makes carrying around my college texts easy. I appreciate the availalbility of a camel back for hiking. Colors are bold and bright, which are great for nightime treks. Love the bag!

I've had no problems with this bag.. It fits me nice and carries my tripod for my camera nicely with the above shoulder straps.
