Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light weight awesome Jacket This is a light weight jacket for mild to medium cold weather. I just bought it a few weeks ago, so have not used it much but so far I like everythigng about it. Waiting to see how it works in a rain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent lightweight jacket Bought this as a stuffable synthetic insulator for backpacking. It compacts better than I expected, but not quite as good as down. I used this jacket in 35 degree calm weather and 45 degrees with strong wind and it was plenty warm with a base layer and a light micro fleece.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great light-weight hooded jacket for Above-zero weather Wanted a hooded jacket for Seattle's cold rain weather. this came at sale price and had my size S. Fit me perfectly. is Very light and works very well for 35+ F , since I bought it in late February. It is not very thick and i'd like to see how it performs in December & January with 32- F freezing rain.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from so warm! but a little big I am 5'7" and 185 lbs. I ordered a large, but had to return it for a medium. I was looking to replace an older mountain hardware jacket that finally fell apart; I'm not sure this jacket will fit the bill though, because it fits large through the ribs also, so can't be used for layering like my last ones could. This is my first columbia product with the fancy foil on the inside. The jacket is really, really warm. SO warm (for such a thin garment) that you'll need to adjust your other clothing to account for it. Great all-around, roomy jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product This is truly a great jacket. I have owned numerous over the years, from Obermeyer to North Face. This is perfectly sized, light, warm, and best of all, not down. That's right, I do not like down. It's good if the jacket is waterproof, but if it gets wet, then the jacket becomes a brick.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lightweight, and unexpectedly thin As a LIGHTWEIGHT non-down jacket, I think it would be good for use during the mild winter when there is some snow. However, it would not be good if there is too much wind. I was disappointed that it was not as thick as what I have predicted it to be from my research, but it worked out for the best because it was useful during the freezing nights when the heater is not working well. I would have to buy another jacket though, but this really light-weight jacket helped me assume that I did not have to go out in the cold carrying weight all over my body.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfy jacket I haven't had the opportunity to wear it yet, but the jacket is well-constructed and my sense is that it will keep me very warm in cold conditions. I bought the camo version since I photograph wildlife and like to blend in to the extent possible when out in nature. I normally wear a Large and this jacket is roomy enough that I can layer additional clothing under it and still have room and freedom of movement.
