Men's Peakfreak™ Boot Outdry 4.3 5 4 4
water included probably wont make the site reviews but I am still going to write it. Its a nice boot. I buy atleast 3 pairs of boots every year because of work. this time i decided to spend more on columbia. big mistake. the boots are a good fit, light and sturdy, plus comfortable. just dont go anywhere near the water at all. atleast with my other boots i would get 4 months before they started wearing down. but 2 weeks into wearing these i hear a squishy sound. no, my feet arent sweaty, water gets into the boot. i am not sure if its from the top, bottom or sides, but i was so disappointed i didnt care anymore. I stepped in a few puddles and by the end of my shift i had wet socks. i am going back to my cheap boots. i already returned 1 pair so i will just take the loss. thx for reading. April 1, 2013
HOME RUN I have always had lots of pain in my feet, so a good shoe is very important to me. Once I discovered Columbia boots, my foot pain was reduced significantly. I now own 5 pairs for different purposes but was looking for something during the summer months. I took a chance on the Peakfreak and they instantly became my favorite. March 7, 2013
Ultralight & Incredible Grip! I've always been a fan of Columbia footwear, but this one seals the deal. I do a lot of day hikes in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Southwest VA. A good amount of terrain to cover in short blocks of time, with lots of streams, rocks, mud, and places that I normally struggle to keep grip. After research I purchased these to help with the tougher trails (i.e. Andy Lane/Tinker Cliffs AT).I am stunned, these are incredible! When I took them out of the box I couldn't believe what materials they could be made out of to remain so lightweight. Their function is not inhibited by the light weight, I feel more sturdy of a hold on all terrain than all my previous boots/shoes. I haven't really gotten them wet yet, so I cannot completely judge how Outdry works, but if it's anything like the rest of the construction of these boots it will not let me down! August 22, 2012
Solidly Constructed Boot - Not for wide feet When I first saw this boot, I was really excited, super supportive, super light, boot height aggressive trail shoe. Regretfully, this was all for naught, as the fit was a little tighter than other columbia shoes. The support overlay on the outside of the boot sat on just the wrong spot to be comfortable with my wide feet, and consequently while they are not for me, they are incredibly light, and feel super supportive, and would be worth for consideration for fast and light hiking, where a trail runner just won't be enough shoe.Additionally, I really appreciated how stiff the sole was, as it felt much more like a backpacking boot, with support and structure, over a glorified trail runner.
