Summit III

The Summit III program, established in 2005, has been built around a three part model which allows organizations annual eligibility for up to three years of proposal submissions. Once we review and award support to a group, we welcome them to re-apply the following year. There is no fourth year eligibility in order to allow new organizations the opportunity to join the Summit III program. Organizations can then reapply for annual support once they have completed their fourth year of ineligibility.

At Columbia we all enjoy being in the great out-of-doors. So we looked to the mountains for inspiration in building our new philanthropic program and have modeled the program around the steps a climber must take to reach the top of a mountain.

Year number one is what we call the Base Camp year. This phase is designed for first year sponsorships. Year number two we call the Climb. This second year level of sponsorship will be determined on the accomplishments made during the first year at Base Camp. The third and final year of the program is called the Summit and eligibility for it is based on the accomplishments made during the Climb phase of the program. Summit III applications are accepted online throughout the year and reviewed twice annually.

Deadline:
Summit III applications are accepted online throughout the year and reviewed twice annually. Proposals received up to March 9, 2007 are reviewed by March 16th. Proposals received March 10 - August 10 are reviewed by August 17th. Awards are made within 10 days of review.
