Women's Anytime Outdoor™ Boot Cut Pant - Plus Size is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 84.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love these I love these so much that I have ordered them in 3 additional colors. I have struggled to find plus size hiking pants and these are just amazing. Just a couple things I would improve on. The fabric is very comfortable but does not feel as durable as I would like. Also, the fabric wrinkles easily and makes it a challenge to pack on trips. But the fit and style have out weighed these issues. Thanks Columbia for offering extended sizes, I would love to see a larger selection of extended size clothing in the future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Multi Purpose Pants Usually I wear a size 16 but Columbia pants always run a size small for me in the waist, so I ordered an 18. I love these pants, I wear them in the office, in the field, hiking, running errands, basically everywhere. They are a great pant for everyday wear and very comfortable. The only problem I have is that while the waist fits fine, the butt and thighs is kind of baggy, because like I said usually I'm a 16, but they still look good, just look a little more relaxed fitted.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love Love Love I absolutely love these pants! They are the most comfortable thing I have ever worn. They are very flattering on my plus size body, and they are not restricting at all. I currently have 2 pairs (the tusk and light grey) and I cannot wait to order more. I love that I can dress them up for work or wear them more casual on the weekends. I am so ready to throw out every other pair of pants that I own. :) Great job Columbia!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Light weight and sturdy I bought these pants for a 6 day camping / canoe trip. They were great. They were great in wind, water, and sand. Brushed and dried easily. Had a touch of stretch for comfort.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good fit, love the lightweight fabric! I bought these pants thinking that they would be a little thicker and I am surprisingly in LOVE with them! They have give, they don't make that "shhh, shhh shhh" sound that some pants make when I walk, and they work great over a pair of long underwear to shovel the driveway. I sit all day long and wore them for the day and was happy to find no saggy pant bottom at the end of the day. I also wore them to walk to work and they didn't chafe at all. (I walked 2.6 miles each way) I also love that the plus size waist is not up to my ribcage, Thank you Columbia!! I'm taking them to Iceland in a few weeks. I think they'll be my new go to travel pant.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great hiking for hiking/birding. Love the material. Stretch when you move...so not restricting at all. Love that they have a zipper, snap & a drawsting. Excellent travel pants.... Quick drying too!!! Bought 5 pairs!! LOVE THEM!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from a little too much flare at bottom Another review said they were a bit too much flare at the bottom...which I agree with...but I would prefer a little more like a boot cut versus straight leg...but I will live with the flare and I might just get them altered... But everything else is great...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Water repelling and quick dry I bought these pants because I go hiking a lot and needed some quick dry pants. This past weekend I went hiking in an area where we had to cross water up to 6-8 inches deep. The pants kept my legs dry even if my feet were wet. The water was being repelled from the pants. When we finished the hike I changed my shoes and the pants were dry, I just had to wipe off some mud. Love these pants. Just wish they came in petite as I had to hem them as they were too long.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bell Bottoms are Back? I love this fabric, I love the fit, I have 7 pairs of Anytime Outdoor shorts and wear them constantly. So I ordered the pants... but was surprised to find the "boot cut" was SOOO large. I mean, I remember bell bottoms and these are just as wide. They start to flare at about the knee and then way out to over 10" at the hem. I wanted to keep them, so I had them altered. Unfortunately, there was a straight leg version, but not in plus sizes. I wish columbia would make the straight leg version for us bigger gals.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect sizing I buy Columbia products because they fit the plus-size woman so well. I have 7 pairs of these pants. They are perfect for any activity. I value the spf function the most.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Greatest pants of all time I have no words for how comfortable these pants are. I am thoroughly convinced they're made out of woven unicorn hair and sunshine. In all seriousness, they're made out of a light, breathable but durable fabric, dry very quickly, don't hold odors and are very versatile, great for hiking as well as every day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great pants I have an athletic curvy shape through the hips, butt and thighs with a flat and trim waist so I have a hard time finding pants to fit correctly. These pants fit very well. I have hiked and golfed in them with no movement/gap/restriction issues. If you are straighter through the hips and thighs, I think they would work just as well. There is a drawstring for added adjustment with no gapping!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect year round pants for Florida I bought these pants for horseback riding in Florida's hot humid summers with occasional rain showers. I bought them in 3 of the 4 colors available. They run a little large, because of the elastic in the fabric you could possibly go one size smaller. They are cool and quick drying. They do have a tendency to pill, I think from the elastic in the fabric. I would love to see Columbia come out with the same design in the 100% nylon ripstop.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Size Matters These pants are a soft lightweight material that appear like they'd be comfortable on the trail. Sizing is much different than it was just a couple of years ago. I should've been able to easily fit into a Size 18 and looks like I'd have to order a 24. Id recommend seeing if a Columbia store has what you're looking for, otherwise money will be wasted and you'll be left with no product like me. I expected more out of Columbia especially being the only company offering plus size for women.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice pants for playing in the great outdoors Comfortable pants for hiking - love the boot cut and stretch. I've also worn them kayaking for the sun protection. The material doesn't feel super study but I bought my first pair 2 years ago and they are still in great shape. I wear mine camping all the time and they would be great for travel. They stretch out a bit throughout the day but with the drawstring waist it isn't a big deal. I also have 2 pairs of these in capris that I wear all the time!!
Date published: 2016-09-01
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Oh, pockets I have this same style in the long shorts, capris, and now the pants. I love the Omni-tech fabric - it truly is a wonder of wearability and comfort. It's stretchy and light, dries fast, and handles a variety of temperatures. I already have the shorts & capris, and I was surprised at how snug these are on my thighs (the others aren't cut this way), but they do stretch a little with wear, and it's become a non-issue. My real complaint is this - and it's the reason for the loss of star - why are the pockets so shallow?! They aren't on the shorts or capris - yet the pockets on these aren't quite deep enough to hold my iPhone 6. I'm so intensely frustrated by how difficult it is to find women's clothing - even travel/adventure clothing - with proper pockets. Columbia - please offer the same excellent pockets you put in men's pants in women's (including plus!) pants. I'm not taking my purse hiking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I expected! This is the second pair of these pants I have ordered. They are as advertised and are comfy travel pants and hiking pants. They run long in the length. They do stretch slightly when wearing. The pockets are shallow, so don't expect anything to stay in them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great travel pant I felt well put together traveling around England in these. I could be casual pairing them with a t-shirt or Columbia shirt (but still felt sharp and "non-slobby"). Or I could dress them up with a silk top and scarf. They dried quickly -- helpful in rain and when traveling light. I'm pretty curvy and found the string at the waist helpful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Godsend This is the first time I've been able to find hiking pants that fit me - size 20, 5'9", 222lb, apple shape. The pants are a bit long, even with hiking boots on, but otherwise perfect. Note, other manufacturers use itchy fabric which rub my legs raw. This material is soft.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome pants - but pilling issue I have absolutely loved these pants... Buying them in another colour BUT they do get a to be of pilling all over them. They fit nicely and flatter the legs and dry super fast. Great for hiking!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great outdoors pants I bought these for my trip to Iceland and they were perfect. I did size up for them just for my own comfort since I am normally a size 20. They were excellent and kept me dry in the rain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent for travel I bought three pair for a two week trip to Iceland and was impressed with their ability to keep me warm in windy conditions yet not be hot when the weather turned warmer. They pack well, don't wrinkle and take up much less space than jeans or other pants would. One thing I have noticed is slight pilling on the thigh area but it's more annoying than anything and a pill remover takes care of it quite easily.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love love love! These are my favorite new pants and I plan to order more. They are casual enough to wear day to day but can pass as dressy, too. They fit amazing. I have a sizeable booty, hips and big muscular legs so I ordered a 20. I probably could wear a 18 but the 20 is comfy and not tight. They snap and have a draw string, They fit so nice. Worth every cent to me!! Columbia makes great quality and this is no exception.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best pants EVER! Anytime outdoor bootcut pants are so lightweight that it is a pleasure to wear them on the hottest of days. I wear them to garden, camp, bike, hike or even as a dress pant. They really do look that great and are so comfy, stretching when I need it but never baggy. I love that I can get wet with the hose when watering my flowers and in a few minutes the pants are dry and looking great again. It is a wonderful pant for camping trips because I can wash them in a basin and they are dry in no time. If you want versatility, great fit and comfort in the lightest pants you can imagine; these are the best pants EVER! I have them in black and midnight and wish they came in a muted green color.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love these I found these in a Dilliard's in Flagstaff and so was able to try them on for size. I was on a many-weeks road trip through the southwest and didn't have any specialty gear. Temperatures on my trip ranged from 30 degree overnight (and still quite cold during the day) to 114 in Phoenix. I loved these pants. I like to think I'm a size 18W, but those were way too tight around the waist (I have a boxy waist). The 20W even made me nervous and I almost went up another size, but fortunately did not. The pants stretched out a good deal and quickly, because they ended up being quite loose on me, but I find that comfortable and the draw string secured them. On a hot day at the Grand Canyon I was surprised I was able to roll them up like shorts and they stayed put all day. I ended up wearing them every day of the trip, and washing them out by hand some nights. They rinsed and dried fine overnight. Only negative is that they are pilling on the inner thighs. I've already got another pair in Nocturnal and am looking for a second pair -- or similarly cut shorts -- in black.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very comfy These pants are incredibly soft and comfortable. I got them in the dark blue (nocturnal) and love the color. As others have mentioned they do stretch out a bit when wearing but there is a drawstring at the waist that can be tightened. My only complaint is I wish they came in a short inseam...I had to cut 6" off when hemming them, but I am only 5' tall. I haven't been able to test the durability of these yet...they are very lightweight so I am curious to see how they hold up. Major static cling was also an issue when I first got them so I re-washed them with fabric softener which seemed to help. I would not pay $80 for them so was glad to see them on sale. Not sure if I will get another pair, depends on how they hold up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE These Pants! I now own three pairs of these Anytime Outdoor pants - in black (the originals, bought in Oct 2014), Nocturnal (sort of a medium denim color), and Bone (khaki/tan), bought earlier this year (2016). They are the most comfortable pants I've ever worn. They work well in my office job - we're a business-dress office, no jeans except for designated days. But I can also wear them on weekends, and do. For hiking, shopping, cleaning the house, whatever. They're water-resistant, but don't look shiny. They wrinkle while they're sitting in the laundry basket, but I hang them overnight, and they're ready to go. I'm a big girl, with a big bootie and VERY heavy legs. These pants fit very well, feel like YOGA PANTS, and look great. I seriously cannot say enough about them. I love them, and intend to buy lots more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super comfortable, surprisingly tough Great for us curvy girls! I am so happy to finally find "outdoor" clothing that fits and is comfortable, and looks great for every day too! I am hourglass shaped, small waist, large hips/thighs. These pants fit very well - could be smaller in the waist, but the drawstring fixes that. I wore these every day on our trip to Iceland, with thermals underneath & stayed dry and toasty. We went caving one day, and it was much tougher than I expected (crawling over lava rocks, hands & knees, having to "butt scoot" over stuff). I just knew this thin soft material would be in shreds when done. However, there was only one teeny tiny pin hole, which you have to look for to see, which has not gotten bigger in spite of wearing them rest of the trip hiking, dog sledding, and much of the time since. All the dust/water/ice just shed right off, and I wore them to dinner that night.... I'm getting more. And am going to try the capris/shorts for summer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect hiking pants Love these pants for hiking. They are soft and stretchy for easy movement on the trail. I like the drawstring waist for the right fit. Boot cut is great for walking. They are the best pants I have ever found for hiking. I'm buying another pair and going to try the shorts as well. I'm wearing these in the Yosemite back country this summer! I appreciate Columbia having hiking clothes in women's sizes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fit So far, I absolutely love these pants. Bought them to wear for hiking in Smoky Mountains. Very comfortable, thinking about buying other colors to wear for work (they are that comfy)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect travel and leisure pants After trying several different styles of Columbia pants, I choose this style because it fits me well, has deep enough pockets for my I-phone, is easy to launder and pack. Importantly, it does not have an elastic waist which I cannot wear. I like the snap-close traditional style. Light weight and no wrinkles! I plan to use then to travel to Africa and China.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Plus Size These pants are great for plus size women. The fit is flattering and they are very comfortable. I can wear them for traveling, camping, hiking and more. I bought 2 pairs!
Date published: 2016-03-19
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable Wear Everywhere Pants I purchased these in a 20W and 22W in black. They both fit well, I'm a curvy type, 5'8" and the length and boot cut really flatter my figure. They are comfortable enough to wear in every season and can go from work to sports to bed. I love to travel in them. They do stretch out after wearing awhile, so I like the 20W best because of that (it does hug me like "active" fit should, but the 22W is great for layering. The tie in the waistband is essential, but could be a tad thicker for holding up the pants when they stretch. In summer the material can be clingy when it's hot, especially between my inner thighs, but I'll wear some bike short briefs and solve this problem. I tried the tusk color but it shows too much. Also great flexibility for when I'm kayaking or hiking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nicely Fitting These were a pleasant surprise. They actually fit perfectly in all the right places. Even the length was better than anticipated since I'm short. I still have to hem them but only by an inch or so. Highly recommend, especially at the sale price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I ordered a 2x I am normally a 18-20 and they were a little big which was nice because I can use those one for when I where thermals underneath. I stayed warm and dry and the pants were very comfortable and easy to hike in. I will be buying additional pairs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect form and function. Thank you Columbia for making an awesome product for us curvy girl outdoor enthusiasts! I was looking for ski pants for some spring snowshoeing. I get hot quickly and end up sweating and clawing off layers even in 10° F weather. I am a size 20 in jeans but ordered a 22 in these. I wanted to be able to wear them with thermals underneath and without. The 22 fits a little roomy on me without looking baggy. They look very flattering, stylish, and feel comfortable and light. This has been a "warm" winter but I think below 30° I will add thermals, but above that these pants alone will be great for me. They are so comfy even in wind and rain. Exceptional product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent hiking pants! I found these pants to be really comfortable. The draw string waist allowed me to tighten them up as they were a tad big in the waist. They are really lightweight which is excellent as I plan on taking them on a trip to South America in a few weeks time. I also like that they are quick to dry and have generous sized pockets ( fits my camera) . Very happy with this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable and fit well Like these pants just wish they had some length options. I'm short (5'2") and have to hem most pants and these were no exception. Not a big deal and didn't stop me from ordering a second pair!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome pants I received these pants yesterday in advance of a planned snowshoeing outing this weekend. Lucky for me, we got over a foot of snow yesterday so I got to test these puppies out. Despite the snow being well over the top of my boots, my legs stayed nice and dry. These fit very nicely - I ordered 16W because I have a big butt and thighs and regular size 16 can be a bit tight depending on the cut, and I have found some Columbia clothes to be a bit smaller than expected. If anything, these are a little loose, but with the drawstring they are perfect. I can also wear my longjohns underneath if needed, which is nice - no need for separate winter/summer hiking pants. Bonus: they are nice enough looking that I can wear them to work! I will be buying more colors soon.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy Plus Size Hiker Usually I wear 18W but I ordered 20W after reading the reviews. This pants are GREAT, confortable and light. The material is nice, good quality and fits me well. Before this pants, I bought a pair of columbia pants in size 18W-still brand new- I could wear them because they are too small and tight in my waist. This style is great. Nice if they design a couple more bags in the legs. I got this pants for my trip to Costa Rica next month. I should get other colors!
Date published: 2016-01-28
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love these pants My only negative is the front pockets are kind of shallow and should not hold anything important. I love that the pants are light enough for warm days of hiking, or add a base layer for stormy cold days. I walked 7 miles in the rain and was dry under the pants, the outside dried in the time it took to drive 2 miles. They are nice enough to wear to work to! I have black and india ink in size 22. I usually wear 18-20 depending on cut (big belly and thighs, small booty), but I wear layers, spend time sitting at work and don't like being uncomfortable, and the pants have a drawstring, they are perfect.
Date published: 2015-11-20
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Stretchy and Comfortable These pants run a little bit big, I wish I'd have gotten my true size instead of a size bigger like I usually have to do. But they are really stretchy and super comfortable! Breathe really well, although they really like to cling to animal fuzz.
Date published: 2015-09-22
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Pants I've been looking for some hiking pants that had a flexible fit and these did the trick. I'm curvy in the hips and needed a pant that didn't ride or rub. They have just enough give and don't ride up where they shouldn't. I'm 5'10 and the regular length is plenty long ... and the boot cut is super flattering. I loved my first pair so much, had to purchase a second. Highly recommend.
