Rated 5 out of 5 by TUNDRA MEETS RUNWAY This is a great garment! Practical and stylish. Perfect for our Chicago Winters! September 25, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Beautiful long jacket warm This coat is exactly what I was looking for unfortunately it was very big from the waist down. To me it seemed the wind would go right underneath the coat. Pointless when that is the point of having a long coat, to cover butt and thighs. I bought a 3x and I am a 5"9" size 20 DD woman and on top portion fit great but from waist down to big. Tried on 2x at Columbia store Top portion to small.... Urgh another plus size battle ;-) September 17, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by AMAZING COAT I purchased this coat last year right before New York's antarctic winter.....this coat is the REAL DEAL! I stayed warm allllll winter long with this coat and was glad that I made the investment as I'll be warm for many, many winters to come. I am a size 16/18 and busty so I wish that I had the 2x, the 1x that I have fits snug......REALLLY snug. All in all, this was a great purchase and I would buy it all over again! September 11, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Apres Arson Long Down Jacket Love everything about this coat except that it runs small, not expecting to have to wear a sweater under but laying may prove difficult. Having a full size chest it was tight. Returned it and ordered the next size. Right now it is 90 and very humid but I am looking forward to staying warm in this coat this winter. Love the flint gray color and the thumb holes to keep the sleeves tight and the wind/cold air from blowing up the arms. Stylish and warm what a combination! September 3, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Coat I have wanted this coat for 2 years, I didn't buy it at first because it was a little costly. Instead I got a cheaper coat and instantly regretted it. I kept coming back to Columbia and this coat was always out of stock in my size. I looked at a ton of different options but I couldn't find anything that compared. Finally, I was about to give up and order a different coat and I checked the website one last time and it was here. I love this coat, its long and warm and I found it to be true to size, the bottom is a little large but it doesn't take away from the coat in any way. I live in Fargo, ND and this will be perfect for the harsh winters we have here. I highly recommend the it, it is worth the price. August 15, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Mom's New Winter Jacket This was the first Columbia purchase that I've ever made and my mother and I are beyond happy. My mother need a new femaine winter jacket that could handle New York brutal weather. Thank you Columbia. June 16, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Very Warm Coat Great Features Was looking for an extremely warm winter coat for a long time. That was the number 1 priority- extremely warm. Secondly, I needed plus size. And I couldnt spend $400+. It was a challenge. I also didnt want a bubble style coat. Finally found this, have had it about 2 weeks and loving every minute of it in the cold temps- today down to 12 degrees in NY with a real feel of -3 degrees. I am warm and the added features of the jacket keep the cold air out from coming in the open parts. For example- there is an extra roomy hood that goes far over your ears and forehead but zips off for non extreme weather so it wont be annoying when not needed. One of my favorite features are these black sports material bands that come extended from the sleeves to make one solid line from gloves to your coat with absolutely no space or air getting in. Other features include zipped pockets, extra velcro and snaps too besides the zipper, a high zipping collar for the extreme temps. Love that it will sinch slightly in the back for a woman who wants a slightly pulled in look. It's absolutely perfect! Highly recommend and worth the price for sure. I did the research and although $300 is not pocket change, its a pretty good deal when you are looking for everything I was looking for. Customer SErvice was awesome too! January 29, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by WOMEN'S APRES ARSON LONG DOWN JACKET - PLUS SIZE the perfect fit, the perfect length and the warmth on those extreme cold days here in Chicago. December 5, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by I expected more from Columbia I first thing i noticed was that it was snug in the arm pits. I am large chested, so I'll' give them that one... Next thing I noticed was the hand cuffs, love them! Then i thought the shape of it was "off". Was like an A.. with the bottom of the A way too BIG (almost like the bottom was a different bigger size) I thought it was just me being picky, but when i went outside to test the warmth- the bottom 1/2 of coat was like I was wearing a dress. Letting all the wind and cold Chicago weather go right up it.If I'm buying a knee length coat, I want my legs warm!!! And lastly... it was kinda boring, needs a 2nd color, or a belt or draw string or something... Sadly I will be returning the coat December 3, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent winter coat!!! I am glad to have found this jacket!!! , specially for my size (3x), it so warm and comfortable, I am not worry about be walking during a cold winter day, Thank you Columbia to design jacket plus sizes! November 6, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Don't Pass This Up I am very happy with my purchase. I initially wanted it in black, but it was sold out so I got the red one. As another review stated, it is actually cranberry red. I actually liked it and ended up keeping it. It seems that the zip problem has been fixed and is no longer plastic. You can tell the coat is excellent quality and is wonderful for the plus size body. It makes your body look shapely. The only recommendation I would make to Columbia is to make more clips so that the belt can be tightened more. I also would like to see the belt raised a little higher because for shorter people like myself, my waist is higher up compared to the coat. It may be different for others, but regardless, the coat is still shapely. The coats sits above the knee which is great. Overall, probably one of the best coats I've had. Worth the high price tag. August 28, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by needs a better zipper I find I have problems getting this plastic flimsy zipper to glide smoothly. A sturdy metal zipper is needed. I will check inot a tailor changing the zipper, if I can't find my receipt. March 28, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Lots of thought went into this design. I am an engineer and truly appreciate the design that went into this coat. I wore it twice and got complements on it's fit. When I tried it on the first thing I noticed was it had built-in gloves that I could keep my hand warmers in. I used it in MD, this year MD endured an extremely harsh/cold winter. Initially I thought the price was high on this coat, and I am speaking of the sale price, but I would buy this coat again. My sister is getting one. I can't say enough great things about this coat...however, the zipper, trying to start the double zipper is an issue. I am a plus size lady and the fit is perfect, it accents my waist unlike many coats and jackets that can be unisex. Thanks COLUMBIA for looking out for the "Big Girls" in such a fashionable and well designed way. March 18, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by As nice as the picture, but snug, as reported I like the style and material of the coat. Wont be layering too much or wearing bulky sweaters underneath, though. I had the choice of a larger size but I am in weight loss mode currently (and needed new coat now), and didn't want to take the chance it becomes way too big. What made me keep it was 2 long time friends who loved the coat and said I looked sexy! Lots of compliments so far. Rocket Red Element color is not as true a red as the picture. More cranberry, I feel. Not what I expected, but I like. Wore coat in temps of 20s and below and I was comfortable with just medium sweater. My arms were a bit cooler for some reason. Don't know if that's by design? Strange. My advice would be to think hard on size, otherwise a sleek and attractive coat. March 16, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by I was impressed with the quality and features, however..... Sadly, I wore it once and was so disappointed. I spent a lot of time searching for what I hoped would be a REALLY WARM Coat, long and with a hood. I wore it once to the Park on a 30 degree February day. After 20 minutes I had to sit in the car while my husband finished his walk. I do wish you could sinch the hood around your head and also they should make it so you could more significantly sinch the waist tighter. I think that would have helped to keep in the warmth with the Omniheat and down. My son says he has an Omni-heat Coat and he still wares layers with it. March 15, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Chicago Winter This was one of Chicago's most brutal winters in many, many years. I am only sorry I waited until it was half over before I made this purchase. The coat is very warm, yet not bulky. Only two small things bug me: the fur around the hood - it is removable, but then the hood feels like it doesn't cover as much as it should, and the zipper. The zipper works from the top as well as the bottom - which is GREAT and I love that feature. I do find it a bit cumbersome to get the zipper started properly because of that. It has to catch 'just so' in order to work. I will say - It's Worth The Effort, The coat allows me to leave sweaters/sweatshirts at home. No need for all those layers to keep warm anymore. March 15, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by This is awesome!! I LOVE this coat!!!! Normally columbia runs small, but this was actually pretty true to size. When I first got it I thought it would be way too long, but it comes to just above my knees and looks really cute. It makes me look like I have curves too! I love the sleeves on this coat with the thumb holes. It is a pretty expensive coat, but it was worth it for the quality and how warm it is. It is SO warm and perfect for Wisconsin weather. I would for sure recommend this. AND the other cool part is the inside is NOT fleece so cat/dog hair cannot stick to it!!!! Awesome!!!!!!! March 11, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by this product is good I like this coat very much, help a lot in this cold weather March 11, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by London Calling I bought this coat specifically for a trip to rainy England and to use during the winter in my home state of Colorado. I absolutely love this coat. It is not too bulky or hard to get in and out of, and it keeps me toasty and warm. The gunmetal color is really pretty and looks great with a pop of color. I chose one size bigger than me so I can have a sweater and layers underneath, and I really like the fit a bit looser. I can't wait to test it out in the UK and at the ski resort. March 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Women's Apres Arson Long Down Jacket - Extended Size THANK YOU COLUMBIA FOR MAKING A PLUS SIZE COAT. Please add more plus sizes to your quality products which are indisputable in quality, design and looks. This jacket gives me a figure, with a slightly tapered look and offers a waist snap in the back in two measurements. It fits snugly, and is a tapered close to the body and arms- rendering me a feminine look, in comparison to my short down frumpy looking jacket which gives me no definition purchased from another company. If your debating, this is a sure thing, order without delay! I've never experienced this tightly a sealed jacket for warmth. There are no drafts and I can move about wonderfully. The Rocket red is stunning- I returned the gray because for me the color did not suit me as a brunette midle- aged woman. This jacket is something I want to put on, and have no need for another jacket-or desire to grab anything other than it in my closet. It has great breakaway in the bottom with the zipper when you sit and need more room of opening between your legs like when getting in your car. My only request is for Columbia to Improve the zipper quality in terms of the top zipper of the two zippers --the top zipper-it slips out of groove and turns away from alignment of the bottom base zipper as you are manuevering and attempting to implant the bottom straight edge of the zipper itself into the top zipper- it takes a couple of tries to align the two zippers for a clear track for the base of the zipper. This IS without a doubt THE BEST COAT I have ever owned- also if you could make this in a few inches longer model for those wishing below the knee coverage- and keep making this one as well for those not in need of that option. Please consider more plus sizes- there's is a great need for it! A must have coat!!!! I will be looking for a lighter jacket in your catalog for the Northeast spring/ fall season. Thank you Columbia- this is an outstanding product-(love the nylon/spandex sleeve extenders with thumb opening!!!!!) with superb technolgy and thought combined! P.S. Great product research on the color red- it's not too young for someone my age and it proves Columbia is not just for younger, thinner people :-) March 5, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Finally a long quality winter jacket! Worth every penny. Have been looking for this type of jacket all season. Warm, long, relatively lightweight, great styling and the columbia brand. Now, let the snow, winds and cold come!! I am ready! March 5, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Yet again Mama Boyle delivers i absolutely love my new women's apres arson long down jacket and, while wearing it, have received many compliments on it. we were slammed this winter in the northeast, and that jacket makes life much more bearable. why do they call it a jacket? its so long it could be a coat. i am out every day walking my dogs, in the rain, sleet, snow, i'm out there, and this jacket enables to me do so for extended periods of time without freezing. i don't need a hat i have that amazing hood, which even though its removable there are no drafts. i don't need a scarf because of the way the neck is constructed. i've been walking out in the rain and did not get soaked because the jacket is waterproof and its seams are sealed. i chose the black coal color because i'm always staining things, but i found that the color makes the jacket appropriate for anytime where, day, night, dress up or dress down.i purposely bought a size larger than i normally wear because of all the reviews and found i am able to, but don't necessarily need to, wear bulky sweaters and multiple layers underneath it. when i received it, i was nervous about the double zipper, thankfully everything's been fine with the zipper. all in all this jacket is well worth every penny spent on purchasing it. thank you mama boyle for your excellent product! March 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very nice quality This coat is windproof and warm without being too heavy. The sleeves fit a little snug when wearing sweatshirt.I really like the length and way collar fits.I was disappointed when price dropped almost $80 about a week after I bought it though. No price guarantee. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great coat! I am very particular about my winter coats, and I am also the type of person who researches things a lot first, and is more than willing to return something if I don't like it. I also tend to keep things for a long time, and am willing to spend some money in order to make that happen. So.... this coat fit the bill! It is very warm (almost too warm if it's above 35 degrees!) and it's long, which is great. I love the removable hood, and the hidden inside pocket. Other people said it ran small, and I suppose maybe it does, but as a plus size, it's hard to judge sometimes because sizes for me are all over. I could be a 1X, 2X, or 3X depending on the brand. I feel like like this coat will last a long time, the outer material seems pretty tough. I am little concerned about the zipper, as it is plastic, and I would prefer metal. Also, the velcro does not stay together! Snaps would be much stronger. However, I do love the coat and hope to be wearing it for the the next 10 years.... just like my last coat! February 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Amazingly warm! This coat was a splurge for me as I don't usually spend a lot of money on myself. My old coat was old and not very warm and I decided if I was going to spend money on a new one I might as well get a good one that will last. In Minnesota winters can be treacherous and this year has been horrible! We've had several days where my daughter's school was cancelled purely because of cold temperatures (wind chills in the -50 range)! This coat is extremely warm and even on the coldest of days has managed to keep me pretty comfortable! The hand warmers are a wonderful addition and the hood is nice but I also like that I can remove it if I want to. The pockets are nice and deep so I can actually put my mittens in them without a huge ridiculous bulge and they zip for added security when I put something of value in them. I absolutely love this coat and wouldn't change a thing! February 19, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Shipped fast, and kept me warm in Feb 2014 cold weather Great coat. I was worried about the zipper after reading other reviews. But they must have fixed that issue because the zipper worked just fine. The coat was extremely warm and blocked any chill from coming through in the 30 degree weather. In fact, it may almost have been too warm at times. My only complaint is the small velcro fasteners along the zipper. They are too small to really hold the coat closed without the zipper. Buttons or snaps would have been better. And if you wear knit gloves or a knit scarf it gets caught in those velcro strips. February 15, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Winter's a Breeze After a number of blizzard-like storms in the NYC area, where you have no choice but to be out in the elements during a long, daily commute to/from work and around town for business, I had had enough of being cold. I wish I hadn't waited so long to buy this coat. It's everything I've needed--protection from the severe cold, the wind, and the rain--and I think it looks good for such a warm coat. Not as poofy as some of the down jackets out there that look like sleeping bags. Now I can withstand sub zero tempts with little care and I find I'm choosing to be outside more. It's almost too warm! My only wish is that there was some kind of belt to further define the waist, but that's a trivial concern where comfort is the priority. I'm a dress size 18, and sized up to the 2XL. Plenty of room for a suit jacket or sweater beneath the coat. Highly recommended. February 14, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Long Down Jacket This jacket is just what I was looking for. Stylish, warm, but not bulky at all. Very comfortable to wear in the car. I also love the two way zipper. I was not disappointed in the color red - it's a beautiful shade and I love it. February 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great coat, but purchasing experience was meh The coat is great. Having taken my measurements, I ordered the perfect size. My color (red) is unusual and cheery. Everywhere I get compliments. Worth every penny, and frankly, I'm pretty frugal. My only negative comment is that for these prices, I think shipping should be included. In 2014, to pay the extra $6 to ship it felt like a combination of arrogance and extortion. I know its only $6, but it really is the principle. Columbia should invest in some good will and ship free. Rated 5 out of 5 by Greatest Investment Ever!!! This Coat is so awesome!!! Columbia got it right!!! I life in the Deep South and with all the crazy cold weather we have been getting this coat has kept me completely warm. I couldn't ask for anything better except one: That Columbia make one that is not so heavy, for the South it can get a little to warm (in 30 degree weather) but for the temps in the "teens" its awesome!!! January 31, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great coat! This coat has kept me so warm in the cold Chicago winter! I had read the other reviews about the coat running smaller in size and it is a little tight through the waist, but it is still very comfortable. I love the hood, and the coat covers my face well if it is zipped up all the way. I was out last night in 5 degree weather and I didn't feel cold at all!! January 23, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Love this coat! I am very happy with this coat, overall.... My only two complaints are it is pricy and it runs small!!!! The quality is excellent! I live in the mountains and wear this coat to take my 2 mile walks, and it keeps me warm...By far, it is the best coat i ever owned!! January 13, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect coat for winter I was so happy to finally see a long coat from Columbia. This coat is my go to coat for winter in Chicago. It's perfect for cold, rainy days (it's waterproof) and the coldest of cold days (omniheat is awesome). It has great features, including zip off fur, hand warmers, and lots of pockets January 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Coat Ever. After ignoring how cold it can really get in New England I decided it was time to buy a REAL coat for the winter. I read all the other reviews attached to this coat and I agree with all of them! This coat is fabulous if you are walking or merely standing out in the cold. I don't feel like I can't move my arms or body when driving to work so although it feels heavy when you hang it up or move it from place to place I don't feel like I'm being weighed down by fabric. I probably could've purchased a 1x as opposed to a 2x but I don't feel swallowed up by the coat either. I purchased about 1 size larger due to the other reviews and I tried on an XL similar coat in store and I couldn't move my arms enough so I figured I should listen to review and get the larger coat. The hood feels a little strange as it jets out either side of my head to make a triangular shape but it stays up and keeps me warm. The inner lining that allows you to hook over your thumb is my favorite part! I was hesitant to purchase a jacket for so much $$ but it is well worth the purchase and I plan to have this coat forever! January 9, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great coat but tricky zipper. I really needed a long winter coat and am pleased with this one. While the coat is warm and stylish (so happy to have a color choice besides black!) I have some trouble with the zipper. It's a double-pull zipper and sometimes getting the two pulls lined up is tricky - perhaps I just need practice but I often need a couple of tries to get the thing to zip up. It does run small - I'm glad I ordered a size up - it fits but there's no wiggle room. January 8, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Worth the money I've been contemplating getting a serious winter coat for a while. I read good things about some other brands but they didn't come in "extended sizes." I'm a busty girl, and since most of these coats run small I didn't want to take a chance and be disappointed. Well I wasn't with this coat. ITS AMAZING! I'm 5'7, VERY busty, and normally wear an xl-xxl (16/18) top. When I read the reviews that this coat runs small I ordered the 2x, and it was a prefect fit. When it arrived I tried it on with just a tee-shirt and it fit great with plenty of room for a thick sweater. This morning (1/7/2014) when I left for work the temp was 3 and with the windchill it felt like -13. So needless to say I was putting this jacket through its paces today. With a good base layer, a light sweater, and a pull over fleece I was toasty warm. Don't get me wrong, when that wind picks up you would need to be a polar bear to not feel it, but as long as you are moving its not too bad. Those little reflective dots were really doing thier job today. I love the lined collar. It's prefect! I can zip it all the way up and its not uncomfortable. I do agree with the other reviews in wishing the hood was adjustable but I didn't have too much of a problem of it flying off when I put a hat on. I guess I have a big head. lol The hand warmer thingy are a great little feature on the coat as well. All in all I would highly recommended this coat. It was by far worth the money that I spent on it. January 7, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by very warm This is a great coat; it can be worn dressy or casual, it is very warm and stylish. January 7, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect Coat long enough to cover bottom and thighs yet not too long to impede getting in and out of the car. Hood on or off is a great feature. Warm, LIGHTweight, stylish,PERFECT!!! Well done. January 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Warm Love it. Very warm, long. January 1, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Love the coat I love the coat. It is lush and warm. However, it bothers me that so many of the products run on the small size. I have had to return several items due to sizing. Somehow, the company needs to get this corrected. Otherwise, the quality is wonderful. December 23, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Toasty warm with great features! I ordered this coat to stay warm while waiting for the train on a cold, windy platform, and it really does the job. Not only is the body of the coat toasty warm, but several design features have made it my new favorite. First, the well-insulated collar zips up comfortably close to the neck so even if I choose not to use the (also warm) hood, I don't need a scarf to keep the wind out and my neck warm. Second, the cuffs are outfitted with a comfortable knit thing-y that fits neatly over my hand up to the base of the finger, and securely loops over the thumb. The fabric is light enough to fit pretty easily under all but the most fitted gloved, and eliminates any gap between sleeve and glove. Finally, if the hood's pretty faux fur trim isn't to your, taste, it can be zipped off. The one small negative (for me) is the hood is generously sized, and my neck relatively short, so it tends not to stay on if there's a breeze. A drawstring to tighten the hood opening would be a nice design addition, but I'm knitting a headband to add height (and friction) to my head to resolve this issue. On the otherhand, longer-necked gals or those with thicker hair may find this a plus. Overall, A+. December 21, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great as Advertised! This product is everything I wanted it to be and more. It's helping me beat this dreadful Chicago winter. It definitely blocks the wind. The hood protects from the falling snow. It's great. December 17, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love it! Not heavy. I was surprised by the foil appearance on the inside, but I absolutely love it! December 17, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by WOW! After looking for a new parka and reading many, many reviews I took my chance and ordered this while it was on sale for Cyber Monday. Let me tell you, what a deal and what an amazing jacket! This will be great for being out all winter. I have tested it with -0 weather and I love it. Also, it is slimming. December 15, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Warm and beautiful This is the first time I have ordered a coat online . This one was perfect. It does run small so I went a size up from what I normally get and it was good . It is extremely warm .perfect for Chicago winters. I love the deep pockets . The red coat I purchased is beautiful and I get loads of compliments . Definitely worth the price December 15, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Would Buy This Coat Again The length provides good coverage. It’s no problem to wear this coat while I’m driving and it doesn’t get in the way of moving about, bending over, etc. The coat was warm enough for the coldest day of the season so far (-3 degrees, wind chill -9 degrees), although I was only outdoors for about 30 minutes at any given time. I love the adjustable hood and the ability to remove the fur from the hood, or remove the hood altogether. I ordered the black, but the color is more of a medium gray, and even looks more grayish-green, depending on lighting. The stretchy “comfort cuffs” have thumb holes, which can get in the way when putting on the coat. I found the arm length a bit long, so I folded back the sleeves up to where the Omni heat reflective material starts, and then wrapped the comfort cuffs back over the sleeves. This resolved the pesky thumb hole issue and also protects the edge of the sleeves. Actually, adjustable length sleeves would be a great feature. I also found the two way zipper a bit of a bother to get started. I would also like the Velcro closures to be more substantial so I could forego the zipper when I’m in a hurry. When I use just the Velcro to close up the coat and I move at all, the coat comes open. Also, instead of the snaps at the neck, I’d like some Velcro or just an easier way to close the coat up at the neck, especially with gloves on. Overall, I’m pleased with the coat and I would definitely buy this coat again. December 14, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Après Arson coat Ran a bit small for my comfort. Got an easy exchange by calling customer service and LOVE the new coat! I work downtown and have to walk several blocks everyday this coat will be awesome for keeping me warm and dry! December 14, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best parka ever rugged, warm and easy to wear! and it's waterproof! very pleased. I am in sales so as a "professional thrill seeker" it's every day in the working world outside. need something you can't kill. this is it. December 13, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love this coat! I bought this coat since I'm going on a dog sledding trip in northern Michigan and I needed something warmer. I'm a pear shape that normally wears a women's 18/20 so I ordered the 2x after reading reviews of other jackets that others also rounded up on their sizes. It was a perfect fit even in the arms which are sometimes too short. This coat was a bit of a splurge but definitely worth the money. It got down to below zero here in Indiana the day it arrived and I couldn't be happier. December 12, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Warmest Coat ever Owned - Fits 5'10 Tall Plus Wonderful comfort without tremendous bulk. Warm as can be. Room for a vest, yet not uncomfortable. Best part is I am tall (5'10') needing very long sleeve length, and this coat fits perfectly! Sizing is exactly the same as my other Columbia ski jacket. Can't wait to wear it on vacation in Lake Tahoe, CA in the bitter cold, knowing I will stay warm. Also, next football season -- will be warm to sit on the cold bleachers! Color varies widely from PC to laptop to iPad --- the black is more gray/charcoal than true black - that's my only negative. December 11, 2013
