Women's Arcadia™ II Jacket - Plus Size is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 142.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great spring/rain jacket Awesome jacket, breathable and true to size, it's not paper thin so that's a plus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent choice This is a perfect light weight rain jacket. I was concerned about the sizing based on reviews, but there's enough room to put a lightweight fleece under it if needed. Packs away, just a bit bigger than I thought. Overall I am very happy with it. Will buy another when needed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic! The first time I wore my jacket, it was very windy. Usually, I'm chilly in my old coat. Not with this one!! Also, I was just our doing errands in the rain for about 45 minutes, and the rain didn't saturate this jacket. With my old coat, I would have been soaked through. I love it!!! Rated 3 out of 5 by from not good enough I found the fit to be too small even though it is a plus size. Arms are tight and across the back is tight , I need looser fitting jackets. It also isn't warm, and wont accommodate wearing a hoodie under it , it Would be nice if it had a fleece lining or fit larger to be able wear something under other than one shirt. Rated 4 out of 5 by from A nice jacket just not for me This jacket runs a little small in the shoulders and upper arms. Not sure i would be able to wear anything but a thin t-shirt underneath. Also, I was looking for a slightly longer length as I wear alot of tunic style tops. Also, the jacket has velcro on the panel that flaps over the zipper. I have ruined many tops with the velcro from jackets. Please Columbia, use snaps rather than velcro. If you are looking for a lightweight shorter rain jacket and don't mind the velcro closure, this might be ok. But I didn't love the fit, finishing or colour of the jacket so back it goes. I will try other Columbia styles of rain jackets in Plus size to see if I can get one that fits my needs. When I preview this review, the site indicates that I was "incentivized"/received sample product. This is in no way the case. I purchased the jacket that I am reviewing and will be returning it. Rated 3 out of 5 by from the hood ruined the jacket for me The jacket was the style I wanted, but the material in the hood ruined it for me. When I tried the jacket on , I couldn't even get the hood to lay down in the back. The material is too hard and crinkly sounding. I also prefer a jacket that has a removable hood or one you can roll up into a zippered collar. It just wasn't worth the price for me, and I returned it. I have other Columbia jackets and love them all. This is the first time I wasn't satisfied.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice raincoat, little snug I just got this jacket and I was pleased. It's lightweight and I liked the color. Only downside is it is a little snug in the shoulder area. I have another Columbia windbreaker in 1x and it's a little big. This jacket is a different fit. I can wear this with a thin long sleeve t-shirt but that's about it. To me, it's not too big of a deal since I'll be wearing this in spring when it's milder weather. Overall, I'm happy with it. I won't return it because I'm afraid the next size up will be too big.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Raincoat I had purchased a raincoat from another company several years ago. It totally ripped in the pocket areas( and it's a name brand). This raincoat is lined and the material is top-notch and not at all like what I had. I noticed it by seeing my daughter with one...she has one too!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Thin, runs small, short arms This product was not what I expected. The jacket is very thin (similar to a windbreaker), it will not keep you warm in weather below 55 degrees. The sleeves were short for me (I'm 5'10 and the measurements from my the top of my shoulder to wrist is 24 inches). And the length of the jacket at the waist seems short. On the positive side, the pockets are big and the jacket folds/rolls into a small size which is nice for travel. The shoulder area is snug. Overall, I would recommend buying a size up for comfort and layering purposes. I personally would not purchase the jacket again unless they lengthen the arms and waist area of the jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS JACKET! Arrived very quickly. Exactly as described on website. Looks great on and is super comfy. Keeps you warm but not too warm. Have worn it walking the dogs as the beach in the rain. Kept me warm and dry and kept the wind out. Cute and stylish! Would recommend!!! (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I wanted I had been eyeing this coat on the website for months, and finally made the purchase. It was exactly what I hoped for. The fit is perfect, the colour is great (I got the blue) and it definitely breathes. I bought it specifically for travel, so the packable feature was very important to me. My only criticism is the "packable pocket". On other coats there is an actual pocket just for packing. This coat is supposed to pack into the actual jacket pocket, meaning that the mesh lining is exposed when the jacket is packed. I am just concerned that when in a bag with all my other travel stuff the lining could be damaged. I was hoping for a more sturdy packable option, but hopefully this will be ok. Other than that, it's a great coat. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great jacket! Spring in Canada means you can go to work in the morning needing a winter coat and go home in the evening needing a raincoat. The fact that this jacket easily packs away into my backpack is super useful. I got caught in a downpour yesterday and was glad I had it. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love this Jacket! I first ordered the Whitened Pink in 1X thinking it was more of a mauve type color. Unfortunately, it was rather more pink than I hoped. I returned it and settled for my usual Navy. I love the jacket though I wish the arms were a bit larger. I'm short and have average arm length so the length was not a problem. The 1X feels more like an XL but if I had gone up a size, it would have been too large for me. The crinkliness wears off after using it for a bit. Definitely would buy again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I loved it so much, I bought two more. I purchased this jacket because I live in Washington, where it happens to rain a lot. I'd had the jacket for about three weeks and it performed exactly as advertised - but it received its true test this past weekend over a few days on the Oregon Coast. The weather was mainly miserable during my visit, but I walked on the beach several times in driving wind and rain and was extremely pleased at how it kept the rain out yet didn't make me feel overheated. The fabric is light enough that the jacket is easily folded and packed without taking up a lot of room. The hood has a decent deep brim and zippered pockets held my camera, phone, and wallet with no problem. I'm in the process of losing weight and have purchased in smaller sizes so I can always have this jacket. I love it! If you're on the fence, don't hesitate. You won't be disappointed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not what I thought it was I thought I was buying a winter jacket, not a windbreaker. So I am returning it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My new everyday and hiking jacket! Perfect for everyday, hiking, or just walking the dog. This jacket is light but it is water resistant and breathable at the same time. Zippered pockets and adjustable wrists make this a great jacket. I wear this as my go to since it arrived as it looks and fits amazingly well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am elated! I squealed like a kid on Christmas morning when I put on this well made brand name rain jacket and it zipped up past my hips like a jacket is supposed to. I'm and outdoors person and have been my whole life. An autoimmune disease has lead to me gaining weight and frankly I just don't like styles of the regular plus sized stores! I don't need clothes for work, I need clothes for play. I have found them! Columbia I am pumped! Thank you! Please keep making these sizes!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Noisy Great jacket. It was way too noisy for what I was Looking for. Very crinkly. I really just want a rain jacket that has a light but warm lining and a hood. You would think that would be easy to find but it's not. Especially in plus size :( Oh well, the search goes on!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice coat! Fits well, very breathable. Does not make me hot. Allows for good movement, if you order one size larger. Would highly recommend. Packs easy, take fishing easily!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lightweight packable jacket I need to field test this jacket in the rain to make sure that it is really waterproof but so I can attest that it helps with wind and is easily able to be packed if needed. The material of the jacket is very lightweight so if you are looking for something thick, then this is not the product for you. It has many adjustable ties along different areas to help keep the rain and wind out. Overall, a very good product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Arcadia II Jacket plus For most that jacket is perfect. I am in my menopause and this jacket breath perfectly. Shopping during winter I put on a vest under the coat and it is perfect. However my size is usually 2X, in this jacket I got 3X. One suggestion, I would replace the single zipper by a two way zipper. It is more comfortable when sitting.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great item Thank you for allowing me to have quality clothing just like everyone else out there enjoying the snow. It is hard to find plus size clothing for woman who want to be active but need clothing while we start new journeys in our lives. fit is a little large, and better quality than other brands I have seen, will be buying more

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Jacket was all I wanted in a raincoat. It is very comfortable, It is the right weight for me, meaning it is not to hot for our climate.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty but small I most often wear a 2X, but this coat in 3X is a bit snug for me. Mostly in the sleeve length and across the back. I love the feel of the material and the one time I have worn it in the rain it worked great. The bright plum color is very pretty. I am keeping it, but wish it were a more generous cut.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Several uses I use this jacket often. Alone or with a fleece underneath for cooler weather.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally! I spent hours, I kid you not, HOURS sifting through countless online reviews, trying on failed jacket after failed jacket at my local outdoor stores, and just feeling downright disappointed by my lack of outdoor jacket options for my bigger body. As an everyday bike commuter in Portland where it rains most months out of the year I needed something lightweight that I could throw in my bag and something durable enough to keep me dry--this jacket did not disappoint. The rain rolls right off and I've made it to work dry as can be. While it is a bit longer on my short body I find that this works to my advantage while biking. I'll definitely be using this when I am out hiking, camping, and for regular day use since it's so lightweight. I've recommended it to my friends and I recommend it to you!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bring back the original Arcadia jacket I have an original Arcadia jacket that is a few years old, size XL, and wanted to get something with a little extra room so I can layer it over another jacket. After measuring myself and comparing these measurements to the size chart, reading other reviews that the Arcadia II runs small, and asking for advice, decided to go with a 2X. This size is way too big. I was expecting a few extra inches of room, but I can pinch a fold at my hips about 6-7" deep - it is way more than the extra 4" in the hips than the sizing chart shows, more like an extra 12". In comparison to the original Arcadia jacket, many features that made this jacket nice have been removed. The original has two places at the hips to snug it up (new one has just one), the original has a third pocket at the chest, and it has raglan sleeves that helped my arms to move freely. The new set-in sleeves pinch and are snugger than my XL. Plus, I am large chested and any sportswear with raglan sleeves always fit better in the chest. I tried on both the original XL Arcadia and the new 2X Arcadia II over the jacket I want to layer with, and felt no difference whatsoever in the feel in my arms or across my back. I am still confused about Columbia's sizing between an XL and a 1X, as it shows only about an additional 1/2" in the chest & waist measurements, and no gain in the hips. I highly recommend you try this jacket on in a store if you are unsure of sizing, but it's hard to find plus sizing anywhere other than online.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight and Versatile Just returned from walking the dog in the rain-I stayed dry and felt protected from the wind wearing my new jacket. It is lightweight and I think it will be great for travel. I usually wear a 2X and ordered a 3X based on reviews- my upper arms are heavy but in proportion to my size- the larger size fit well. Would definitely order up if you are between sizes. Very happy with the product and would recommend.
Date published: 2016-10-24
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice jacket I love the color of the jacket (purple dhalia) it looks just as it does online. I usually get my jackets at an XL but i needed a 1X in this jacket. Although it says breathable this jacket gets very hot and stuffy in the rain. But overall id recommend it to a friend

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeps you super dry I purchased this jacket for an upcoming trip to Ireland, but was able to test it out during a pretty decent rainstorm this weekend. The jacket did it's job well; the water beaded up and gradually rolled off. All it took was a quick shake afterward and any remaining water was gone. Not sure if that was part of the design or what, but I'm happy with it. Fit is good, sleeves are a good length unless I raise my arms above my head, but who walks around like that anyway? They're plenty long while performing regular tasks. I also like that the hood tightens to stay on, but doesn't fall down over my eyes. Love that it can pack into itself. Overall very happy with this jacket.
Date published: 2016-10-04
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Rain Wear When this jacket was designed, the body runs true to size. The sleeves are about 2 sizes too small. I ordered a 1X but there is no way I could wear this coat with a a light weight jacket underneath - - I live in Montana and most of the time rain drops the temperature substantially. I returned the 1X and ordered the 3X and I have about 12 inches extra around the hips. The sleeves now fit fine. I do not have a strangely shaped body. This is just a design flaw.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great rain jacket I recently took this jacket with on a trip to Ireland, I got great use out of it on the trip. It kept me dry and happy, the rain didn't keep me from enjoying my vacation. The temperature wasn't too cold (late september) so this jacket was perfect! It kept the rain and wind out, but for colder weather, you'd probably need to add layers. The only downside was that I didn't feel like the jacket breathed at all, after walking around a bit I got very warm (uncomfortable warm).
Date published: 2016-10-03
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Nice Lightweight Jacket I now have 4 of these jackets! Wonderful weight to throw over your favorite sweater when you want to "take the edge off". I normally get an XL but got this one in 1X so that I can wear it with several layers underneath.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Lite Jacket Marvelous for travelling. Fits great and feels good
Date published: 2016-09-15
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rain won't bother me! I ordered this jacket in a 2x due to the other reviews indicating it running small. I wanted a more roomy fit for wearing a heavy sweater underneath during colder wet weather. It's perfect. The purple dahlia color is very nice. I can't wait for the rain.
Date published: 2016-09-14
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Buy a Size Up I'm a size 16, and I ordered the 1x. It's small. Wearable, but small. The arms are snug and the bottom seam is tight. That being said, I can still play disc golf and go hiking in it which is mostly why I bought it. It's waterproof, and the simple mesh liner is great. I live in Salem, OR and it rarely gets cold enough to warrant being active in a big warm coat.
