Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice coat! Fits well, very breathable. Does not make me hot. Allows for good movement, if you order one size larger. Would highly recommend. Packs easy, take fishing easily! January 14, 2017
Rated 4 out of 5 by Lightweight packable jacket I need to field test this jacket in the rain to make sure that it is really waterproof but so I can attest that it helps with wind and is easily able to be packed if needed. The material of the jacket is very lightweight so if you are looking for something thick, then this is not the product for you. It has many adjustable ties along different areas to help keep the rain and wind out. Overall, a very good product. December 22, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Arcadia II Jacket plus For most that jacket is perfect. I am in my menopause and this jacket breath perfectly. Shopping during winter I put on a vest under the coat and it is perfect. However my size is usually 2X, in this jacket I got 3X. One suggestion, I would replace the single zipper by a two way zipper. It is more comfortable when sitting. December 21, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Arcadia II Jacket- plus size I love this jacket and i love the color December 20, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Really nice jacket The jacket is very big on me but if they had a 2x I would have ordered it instead but I really like it. December 13, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Rain Jacket! I love my rain jacket. It is light weight, but keeps me dry. December 5, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by great item Thank you for allowing me to have quality clothing just like everyone else out there enjoying the snow. It is hard to find plus size clothing for woman who want to be active but need clothing while we start new journeys in our lives. fit is a little large, and better quality than other brands I have seen, will be buying more December 1, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Jacket was all I wanted in a raincoat. It is very comfortable, It is the right weight for me, meaning it is not to hot for our climate. November 20, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Pretty but small I most often wear a 2X, but this coat in 3X is a bit snug for me. Mostly in the sleeve length and across the back. I love the feel of the material and the one time I have worn it in the rain it worked great. The bright plum color is very pretty. I am keeping it, but wish it were a more generous cut. November 16, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Several uses I use this jacket often. Alone or with a fleece underneath for cooler weather. November 16, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Finally! I spent hours, I kid you not, HOURS sifting through countless online reviews, trying on failed jacket after failed jacket at my local outdoor stores, and just feeling downright disappointed by my lack of outdoor jacket options for my bigger body. As an everyday bike commuter in Portland where it rains most months out of the year I needed something lightweight that I could throw in my bag and something durable enough to keep me dry--this jacket did not disappoint. The rain rolls right off and I've made it to work dry as can be. While it is a bit longer on my short body I find that this works to my advantage while biking. I'll definitely be using this when I am out hiking, camping, and for regular day use since it's so lightweight. I've recommended it to my friends and I recommend it to you! November 4, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fit perfectly Fits perfectly & I had to try several brands. Very happy with this. October 30, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Bring back the original Arcadia jacket I have an original Arcadia jacket that is a few years old, size XL, and wanted to get something with a little extra room so I can layer it over another jacket. After measuring myself and comparing these measurements to the size chart, reading other reviews that the Arcadia II runs small, and asking for advice, decided to go with a 2X. This size is way too big. I was expecting a few extra inches of room, but I can pinch a fold at my hips about 6-7" deep - it is way more than the extra 4" in the hips than the sizing chart shows, more like an extra 12". In comparison to the original Arcadia jacket, many features that made this jacket nice have been removed. The original has two places at the hips to snug it up (new one has just one), the original has a third pocket at the chest, and it has raglan sleeves that helped my arms to move freely. The new set-in sleeves pinch and are snugger than my XL. Plus, I am large chested and any sportswear with raglan sleeves always fit better in the chest. I tried on both the original XL Arcadia and the new 2X Arcadia II over the jacket I want to layer with, and felt no difference whatsoever in the feel in my arms or across my back. I am still confused about Columbia's sizing between an XL and a 1X, as it shows only about an additional 1/2" in the chest & waist measurements, and no gain in the hips. I highly recommend you try this jacket on in a store if you are unsure of sizing, but it's hard to find plus sizing anywhere other than online. October 26, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Lightweight and Versatile Just returned from walking the dog in the rain-I stayed dry and felt protected from the wind wearing my new jacket. It is lightweight and I think it will be great for travel. I usually wear a 2X and ordered a 3X based on reviews- my upper arms are heavy but in proportion to my size- the larger size fit well. Would definitely order up if you are between sizes. Very happy with the product and would recommend. October 23, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice jacket I love the color of the jacket (purple dhalia) it looks just as it does online. I usually get my jackets at an XL but i needed a 1X in this jacket. Although it says breathable this jacket gets very hot and stuffy in the rain. But overall id recommend it to a friend October 5, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Keeps you super dry I purchased this jacket for an upcoming trip to Ireland, but was able to test it out during a pretty decent rainstorm this weekend. The jacket did it's job well; the water beaded up and gradually rolled off. All it took was a quick shake afterward and any remaining water was gone. Not sure if that was part of the design or what, but I'm happy with it. Fit is good, sleeves are a good length unless I raise my arms above my head, but who walks around like that anyway? They're plenty long while performing regular tasks. I also like that the hood tightens to stay on, but doesn't fall down over my eyes. Love that it can pack into itself. Overall very happy with this jacket. October 3, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Rain Wear When this jacket was designed, the body runs true to size. The sleeves are about 2 sizes too small. I ordered a 1X but there is no way I could wear this coat with a a light weight jacket underneath - - I live in Montana and most of the time rain drops the temperature substantially. I returned the 1X and ordered the 3X and I have about 12 inches extra around the hips. The sleeves now fit fine. I do not have a strangely shaped body. This is just a design flaw. October 3, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by great rain jacket I recently took this jacket with on a trip to Ireland, I got great use out of it on the trip. It kept me dry and happy, the rain didn't keep me from enjoying my vacation. The temperature wasn't too cold (late september) so this jacket was perfect! It kept the rain and wind out, but for colder weather, you'd probably need to add layers. The only downside was that I didn't feel like the jacket breathed at all, after walking around a bit I got very warm (uncomfortable warm). October 3, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very Nice Lightweight Jacket I now have 4 of these jackets! Wonderful weight to throw over your favorite sweater when you want to "take the edge off". I normally get an XL but got this one in 1X so that I can wear it with several layers underneath. September 29, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Lite Jacket Marvelous for travelling. Fits great and feels good September 14, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Rain won't bother me! I ordered this jacket in a 2x due to the other reviews indicating it running small. I wanted a more roomy fit for wearing a heavy sweater underneath during colder wet weather. It's perfect. The purple dahlia color is very nice. I can't wait for the rain. September 13, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Buy a Size Up I'm a size 16, and I ordered the 1x. It's small. Wearable, but small. The arms are snug and the bottom seam is tight. That being said, I can still play disc golf and go hiking in it which is mostly why I bought it. It's waterproof, and the simple mesh liner is great. I live in Salem, OR and it rarely gets cold enough to warrant being active in a big warm coat. September 9, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Rain Jacket I really like the jacket but the lining inside is mesh. Makes it very itchy if you have on a thin shirt. September 3, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by NancyH. Great jacket, love the color! (Red). It even has enough room for a sweater underneath. Heading to Ireland and will be wearing layers, so this is perfect! September 1, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by too big I ordered up thinking I would need the room in a jacket. It was really big. So, I reordered a size down. If you are close to a 1x - don't order up. order your size. It is a really nice breathable rain jacket. August 12, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great layer for travel I bought this with the rain shell for a recent summer trip to England. With the fleece I already had, I had the perfect combo for any/all weather. I bought the 2X bc I wanted to layer and because others had said it ran small -- I think it runs pretty true to size and had to shorten the arms. Back home in San Francisco, I find myself grabbing this as my weekend anywhere anytime jacket August 9, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Light Weight Jacket Perfect jacket for layering. I used it in Alaska on both rainy and windy days. It kept me completely dry. August 6, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by beautiful color like the coat color is spot on but it is boxy and casual fit. Also seems shorter in length. But I still like it. :) July 19, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Lite easy to pack Perfect for the summer rainstorms July 14, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by More than I could have imagined! Loved the look of the jacket and the particular colour. Couldn't get it in my size in Australia. Bought it online and received it very quickly with no issues what so ever. Beautiful jacket that fits as per the measurements given. Love the colour! June 28, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by CA's new Arcadia Jacket I love this jacket & it is exactly what the description says it will! The first day I wore it, it rained hard and I stayed dry as a bone! It does run a little small so I ordered a 2X and it is very comfortable! June 23, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Just what I needed I needed a lightweight rain jacket and this is perfect. It's lined so I don't sweat and the lining is very lightweight. It runs a bit tight in the arms so I ordered a size up. It's still a bit small, but I know that about Columbia and it's fine. June 16, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Arcadia - waterproof Jacket Great value - had been looking for a premium waterproof jacket for my wife for a while. We we very impressed with the tailoring and materials used in the jacket. My wife loves it, the fit, performance and the color! June 16, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice Lightweight Jacket Jacket is nice and lightweight, perfect for Spring's rainy weather. My only complaint is that while the overall fit seems very roomy (the size rating doesn't allow specifics), the sleeves are shorter than I'd like. I'm not sure why Columbia thinks women have short arms... if I buy a comparable men's jacket, the arms are plenty long. No I'm not tall either... only 5'5"... I just don't like multiple inches of my arm to stick out beyond the cuff when I reach...after all the adjustable cuff is there to hold the sleeve in place from covering the hand so why shorten the sleeves to accomplish this. The short sleeves give the jacket a too tight feel if I adjust the cuffs to fit my wrists. Please spend more time on plus sizing...we aren't shaped like those Weeble Wobble figures. June 15, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Fit a little tight in shoulders. Otherwise, good quality and would serve its purpose. June 6, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Snug shoulders, great length Descriptions are accurate on this jacket but I am returning it. The shoulders are snug but the waist is comfortable. Sits 'just right' at the hip. June 6, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Light rain jacket This is something you wear in summer or late spring if it rains. It is also good for late night when there is a breeze or if it is windy out. June 2, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Runs small I ordered one size up (based on other reviews) and it fits but is a tad snug in the upper arms (as others have mentioned), not enough to prevent me from being able to paddle a canoe while wearing it, but tighter than I would like (I would not be able to wear it over a sweatshirt, but short sleeves are ok). I am keeping it because it is pretty and fits everywhere else. I got it in the purple lotus and love the two-toned color feature. The shape and fit is flattering. It is light-weight and can easily be stashed in a back-pack to have on hand if the weather changes. I definitely would not have gotten it for $100 but for $70 I am happy with it. May 26, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Exactly what I wanted. Its so light and breathable. A perfect spring/summer time raincoat. Doubles as a wind breaker and the material is tough. So, many times it got snagged and caught in stuff I thought it was gonna tear and it didn't. My only complaint is I wish there was an outside chest pocket for a metro card, etc. (urban explorer) May 12, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love this rain jacket! I have been looking for plus size rain jacket for an upcoming vacation and was having no luck until I found this jacket! It fits just right and packs into its own pocket -- perfect for travelling! Plus the price was excellent and free shipping! Also love the bright geranium color. April 29, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice jacket Loved the jacket, but I don't like the noisy crinkle in a garment. Was nice long length, good color and waterproof. Wish I could wear it. The sleeves were a little long. April 24, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Sleeves WAY to short I bought a 2x online, but the sleeves were shorter than the XL I had tried on in the store. I was disappointed because the rest of the coat fit well & quality was great. April 19, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Womens Arcadia jacket Jacket runs small, arrived in a mass of wrinkles and I expected better quality for the price. Had to return and pay shipping charges. Very disapponted! April 7, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by This jacket is above expectation Jacket fit very well which as a plus size person that doesn't always happen. It is lightweight and easy to pack when travelling. And waterproof!!! April 6, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great jacket - just get one size up I love Columbia sportswear products, and finally needed to get a new jacket after 6 years with my old one. After reading the reviews, I decided to order a couple sizes up. I usually wear an XL and sometimes a 1x. But for this jacket, I decided to order a 2x. The arm length is perfect, but the rest of the jacket is a little loose. As others stated, the waist is also not form fitting, as opposed to the photo. However, I like that the length of the jacket is longer than waist, even if it's not exactly flattering. But the jacket keeps me dry. My only complaint is that I had to order this online. I went to an outlet store, and could not find plus sizes. I would have preferred to try it on in-person. March 30, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great coat This rain coat is comfortable to wear and easy to clean. Quality construction makes it a joy to wear. In my climate it's a year around must have. March 18, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not red!!!!! I'm sure this jacket functions well, due to the quality of the product. I ordered a ruby red in hopes of candy apple or something close to, and I got a pink/red jacket. Not a pink person at all, had to return it. February 7, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Needs 1 more pocket I have only worn this once so far, but it is by far the nicest raincoat I have had in a long time. I wish there were a cell phone pocket in the chest area, inside or out. I love that it is rain proof, and not rain resistant. Keep up the good work. I will definitely be buying more of your quality products. February 4, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice jacket and decent price I purchased this jacket in a size 3X. It fit really well and true to size. This is more of a spring time jacket, it is quite thin. Its not a winter jacket. It is quite loud when you move. I got this coat in Bright Geranium, and it is definately more of a bright pink colour, not orange as the picture suggests. This coat is not restricting in any way, hreat range of motion in this jacket. Great for a rainy or cool day. Keeps you dry. Can be folded up nice and small for storage in a backpack. It is very lightweight. It was wrinkled from being folded up when i recieved it and I hung it up but the wrinkles seemed to stay on the jacket, that was a bit of a downfall for me. Overall pretty satisfied. January 23, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by quality control needs to check sizing Unfortunately the 3x is more like a 1x. Its a good company and product but quality control need to check sizing with the real world. I wear a 2x usually and could not get my arms in the 3x... never would be able to layer under it either... too bad.... loved the emeral green color! January 14, 2016
