Women's Arcadia™ II Rain Jacket 4.6 5 33 33
great jacket This is a very nice looking jacket and fits very good. Love it. January 7, 2015
Adult kids love theirs; now my wife will, too. Two of our three adult daughters own and rave about these rain jackets. Waterproof and stylish, this jacket meets the function and fashion standards of a Boston professional and a southern college freshman. Things they like (beyond style): the mesh lining keeps the nylon shell off the skin; quick-pull hook and loop fasteners draw the jacket tight at the waste and neckline in cool, wet weather; light weight. My wife's not-so-subtle hints made certain this made her Christmas list. She only wishes I had found the style that had the lighter colored side panels (slimming, she said). While writing the review, she suggested we purchase one for our third daughter for her upcoming birthday. That speaks volumes. January 1, 2015
DRY! Even though this is not a winter coat, I had to try it out when it was raining and it kept me dry! In no way should this be used to stay warm, but the water bounced right off! Great jacket!! December 17, 2014
Lightweight and rugged Even when I'm not on the trail I am kind of hard on my clothes and this jacket is holding up well so far. It does run a little small, so I ordered the XL instead of L so I would have room to wear layers underneath. November 22, 2014
Great Light Jacket I had bought a blue Columbia jacket similar to this one years ago. Because I loved the blue jacket and still wear it to this day, I decided to get another one in a different color, purple/inkling. Because the other jacket was so durable and has not fallen apart I wanted another quality jacket. So far this one is doing it's job. Thanks for a great product! November 18, 2014
Did its job! After reading the other reviews, I ordered this in a size up, but found out it wasn't necessary. The larger size afforded enough room to wear my bridge camera inside the jacket with lots of room to spare. I think my regular size would have been sufficient. Spent an hour in light rain and it kept me perfectly dry. November 9, 2014
Amazing Appeal Meets Quality and Function! This is an amazing jacket and here are three reasons why: 1.) The appeal is obvious, and the quality construction is evident. I have a $200 Northface Grace jacket that isn't worth the thread from which it's stitched--overpriced, cute, but lacks function. 2.) This jacket is approved by picky "teenage high schoolers." My daughter was determined for me to buy her a Northface rain jacket. But I told her that Columbia's quality trumps--in my opinion. Once the jacket arrived, she agreed! 3.). The price is awesome! In fact, I need to order one for myself before the price increases! Buy this jacket for its quality, love this jacket it for its appeal! November 7, 2014
Great Rain Jacket The jacket kept me completely dry in the rain, and fabric was breathable. November 5, 2014
Oregon Essential Rain Jacket I received my jacket in the mail last week- SUPER fast shipping out of Portland, BTW.. I am very satisfied with this jacket ! It is light, but keeps me comfortable in light rain- plus it has a little extra room to wear a thin fleece underneath if you want some extra warmth. If you live in the Pacific NW, you need to buy one of these ! November 3, 2014
super small The jacket is really cute, good material for a rain coat. It seems like it will be comfortable once I get it in a size that fits. That's the reason for only a three star rating. I wear an XL in basically everything. But when it arrived in the mail today and I tried it on, zipping it up was like squeezing sausage into its casing. Not a pretty sight! It's so small, I feel I will have to go up probably 2 sizes for it to actually fit which is a bummer because the plus sizes cost more (which is kind of rude if you ask me). I do like all the other aspects of the jacket enough to exchange it instead of just returning it. October 24, 2014
Good light rain coat This is a great coat for the rain if its warmer out. Not too heavy but still keeps you dry. I would like to have had a brim on the hood though as the hood slips down & when its raining heavily my face gets wet. October 22, 2014
It Fits! Even the sleeves! I am tall...and that means I have long arms, which can be incredibly annoying when looking for a jacket of any sort, especially a rain jacket since they are almost never flattering to begin with! Luckily this isn't like most rain jackets I've used -- it's fitted throughout the chest/waist so you don't feel like you're wearing a plastic bag and its sleeves are long enough to actually cover my wrists! Two huge wins! Oh, and it's also done a wonderful job of keeping me dry in rain, even when the wind is blowing it all around! October 21, 2014
It does run small like the description says Very feminine fitting, lightweight jacket. Perfect for layering. I didn't see the note about it running small and ordered the XS based on the size chart. Returned it for the S. Hood is not too big and coat is breathable. Groovy pink is a great color. October 16, 2014
Looks and feels great Only wore this a few times but love the way it looks and feels. I got the red color and it pops! Love it lots and have recieved many complements on it. Can't wait to wear it when I go to Alaska next year. Got it one size up so I can wear a fleece underneath, if necessary. It's only a little loose on me now so its comfortable w/o being baggy. October 16, 2014
Happy and dry This jacket has lived up to its good reviews for me! I bought this in Inkling and the colors are represented well in the website image. I do think it runs small though. It fits, but there's not a lot of room for anything too bulky under it. October 15, 2014
Awesome jacket I read several reviews and looked at a several jackets trying to decide what to purchase. I wanted light weight rain jacket that is water period and has a hood. I also didn't want to spend a fortune. This jacket is perfect. It is lightweight but provides the water proof protection I wanted. I am a dog walker and if it's raining I still have to walk the dogs. This jacket keeps me dry on my walks. I would definitely recommend this jacket. October 7, 2014
color I was just thinking about calling or emailing about my jacket. I ordered black size medium and the fit is wonderful and I love the jacket except it is not actually black. I didnt notice it til I had it laying in car seat. It is more navy and I really wanted true black. September 26, 2014
100% waterproof! I wore this through one of the worst rain storms I have ever experienced while outdoors - buckets of water coming down. Anything covered by this jacket emerged completely dry - cell phone in the pocket, my hair and face, torso, and arms. The jacket goes just a bit past my hips. My friend had a less expensive rain coat that was "water resistant" and hers ended up leaking through the seams. Glad I splurged on this one! September 21, 2014
Rain Jacket Love the jacket. Not heavy and bulky---really works well with what I need it for. Really would recommend it to others. September 1, 2014
Great Jacket This jacket made me feel like it hadn't even rained! It is brighter than displayed but still great quality August 24, 2014
Love it Though it fits a little loose I'm so happy with this product! I love the color and the velcro really sets it off!! Snaps break off and leave holes! I'm very happy with this jacket!! August 20, 2014
Best waterproof windbreaker Originally purchased this jacket for an Europe trip, my daughter and I were extremely pleased with the quality of the jacket. This was the only jacket that we brought on the trip. This jacket kept us warm on top of Mount Pilatus Lucerne Switzerland, layered on top of a long-sleeve shirt and a cardigan. We will be visiting Costa Rica this summer, and the jackets will definitely be put to good use, once again. June 8, 2014
Almost perfect except for the color I hadn't purchased a Columbia jacket in years because the one I did buy previously would stick to me like glue on warm humid days. Therefore, I was a bit apprehensive about purchasing a new one. Luckily this one doesn't stick on those sweltering days. The fit is perfect. I'm 5'3'', 115lbs and the XS fit great on me. It's snug with just the right amount of wiggle room. I think the standard Columbia size chart might be a little off because according to it I should have ordered a size small. That would have been much too big for me. My only complaints are the velcro closures and the color. The velcro is simply annoying. I haven't owned anything velcro since I was in grade school. Snaps would have been much better in my opinion. Everything is fine now but I fully expect them to get dirty over time and stop functioning properly. Lastly, the color... I was expecting more of a baby/carolina blue. Instead the color is more of a teal/aqua/baby blue mixed together. It's very bright... I would have gone with another color had I realized that the color on the website wasn't a true representation of the product. May 20, 2014
Velcro, really?! Absolutely love this jacket BUT why would you use velcro instead of snaps for the zipper cover flap?! Terrible design change from snaps. Corners and edges of velcro are sharp and velcro catches on other fabrics when putting on jacket. Other than to save production costs, why o why would you use velcro!! April 21, 2014
rainproof, but small and horrible color It keeps you dry when it rains. On the other hand, the Hibiscus Red is more like a neon pink. I should have bought purple. I would have sent it back, but I didn't want to spend another $24 on postage for a $66 jacket. It runs small, so buy at least a size bigger. April 2, 2014
Sweatin' In The Rain? No Worries! This rainjacket has been a top performer for me. The jacket I'd used previously for paddling was ill-fitting and made me sweat.... oh, and trapped the sweat to boot. The Arcadia II affords an unrestricted range of motion, sends sweat from hard-paddling me up and out of my jacket while keeping me completely protected from dripping cold water on either myself or from the sky. The hood is big enough to come up and over a cap (with a ski cap over *that*), which is great in a *true* deluge. The length is wonderful (about mid-thigh), the sleeves are long enough and the fit is quite flattering. I'm about 5'9" and 155 lbs, the medium was as perfect a medium as I've ever had. March 31, 2014
Great fall/spring jacket I didn't realize this when I ordered it, but this is a very thin jacket - more like a windbreaker. You can pack it down to a very small size, so it's great for traveling. I am 5'3", 110lbs and the XS fits well. It is tapered nicely around the waist and does not look boxy. I have the Columbia Navy and the white accents on the sides are a nice touch, very flattering. If anything, I would say it's borderline on the long side for me. I like how it fits, but if it was any longer I would have returned it, so it might not be a great fit for more petite women. The sleeve length is perfect because I could tighten the velcro on the sleeve openings slightly to make them hit comfortably at my wrists. Overall, this is a great fall/spring jacket and great quality and style for the price. March 14, 2014
Stays Dry This jacket is lightweight and keeps the moisture out. I spent a day working on the boat in the rain and was clothes were still dry underneath. Very comfortable. March 7, 2014
Stylish and attractive! Great fit. So cute and repels the rain perfectly. March 3, 2014
Women's Arcadia™ II Jacket Bought this for my wife and she loves how they pack up so they are always available. March 1, 2014
Arcadia II The jacket is exactly what I needed. The color and fit are excellent. The Velcro closures are sewn as close as possible around the edges, but the corners poke a bit if I accidentally brush a hand against one.. February 25, 2014
Nice Jacket Very nice jacket and made very well. My other issue is I have broad shoulders, so the sleeves are a little shorter then I'd like. I ordered the M thinking the sleeves would be longer, but they weren't. Other then that the jacket is great! February 19, 2014
Great lightweight rain jacket! I have been searching for months for the perfect light, breathable, waterproof rain jacket for an April trip to Hawaii. After trying on 10 different brands and types, I am thrilled to choose the Arcadia II. It is made of a very light, airy outer material, with a light, soft inner mesh. I prefer mesh liners to promote breathing and comfort. I also tried the Arcadia (the original version) but I prefer the fun colors of the Arcadia II (I have Geyser/Siberia). The cut is flattering and it has a very comfortable fit (i.e. I still look like a woman underneath it while leaving a little room for comfort/layer). I am 5'2", 115 pounds, 34-B, athletic build with a small waist and bigger hips. I typically wear a size XS. The XS fits perfectly (hits just below my hip bones, comfortable in the shoulders, not tight around the chest). The sleeve/hand openings are a bit large, but easily cinch with the Velcro tabs. The jacket does fit into the pocket for easy packing. I am looking forward to wearing this in Hawaii and using it as a light summer rain jacket. Thanks, Columbia! February 6, 2014
