Rated 4 out of 5 by Wish you had this in petite sizes I really like this coat with the exception of the sleeves being too long for me. I'm taking to a seamstress to have the sleeves shortened, where as a petite usually fits me. October 20, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Wonderfully Warm I bought this coat as I have fleece Columbia jacket which I love. This year I wanted a new winter jacket. This one is lovely and warm and keeps you warm even on the coldest days. What I really like is that you can use it as a fall jacket, rain jacket or all three together for a warm winter jacket. I normally wear an XL bottom and L top but I ordered a 1X as Columbia also runs their sizes small. I would recommend ordering one size up from your dress size. October 7, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by I love Columbia Coats I don't have any Columbia stores in my area where I could try on coats, but I've had two Columbia coats before (and I love them for their warmth! A side note: both of their zippers broke, though, so that's an issue Columbia may need to concentrate on). The first coat was a little big; the second was quite tight. I'd read the reviews that Columbia coats run so small, so I decided to order up to a larger size. But, it was HUGE on me. (My son described me as a "giant marshmallow"). So, I'm ordering down a size and see if that one fits better. I hope it does! September 30, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Just a tad small. I read the reviews but ordered my regular size (1X). I did have to reorder for a 2X. I am bigger in the stomach area and where I have most problems with fit. My arms, shoulders, and bust are not where I carry my weight so 1X was fine in those areas but too small around waist. The "bluebell" color was a good powdery medium blue with a little bit of a purplish undertone (pretty close to color on website). I have always enjoyed Columbia products and will get a lot of use out of this too. September 22, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Versatile Jacket I purchase this jacket in black last winter to wear in Nebraska while visiting family. It was perfect! I wore it daily for nearly a month in sub-freezing to 13 degree weather and snow. I never got cold at all. Best of all, when I returned home to GA, it came in handy for the week or so of really cold weather. After that in our moderate climate, all I had to do was zip the lining/inner jacket out and wear either of them depending on the weather of the day. I particularly liked the zip-up pockets and the adjustable sleeves. The hood was nice for wind and is easily detachable or, if you prefer, you can just stuff it back into the collar and zip it up when you do not need it. Overall, I consider this a purchase well worth the money. I think it will last for a long time. I highly recommend this jacket. September 18, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by A bit bulky I first ordered a 2X as I've gained some weight and found my XL coats too tight around the bottom (I didn't find a 1X option at first). It was HUGE!! Returned it and did then order the 1X. Am accustomed to more form-fitting cuts, so this coat seems a bit boxy. The fabric is somewhat noisy, but Columbia's quality construction makes up for that. The layers are great - makes it useful for more things. The length and snow skirt will make it good for powder skiing and it fits over my insulated pants (which are bulky, too!). I haven't used it in the cold and snow yet - my feeling is it may be too warm, but can adjust underlayers accordingly. August 14, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Jacket but lacks storage Great look and classic Columbia style! love the jacket but it is missing storage access. The fleece liner has to be unzipped to access the jacket storage for a cell phone or iPod. Needs an alternate Zipper location on the outside or in the zipper flap so it can be accessed when the fleece liner is used. Still one of the best coat manufactures out there. We trust Columbia to keep our family warm and dry outside! March 3, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great coat I love my new jacket. I was worried it would not fit but it does with some room to spare. I like my coats a little big. It is so lightweight, and does not feel bulky. My daughter wants one with omni-tech now. It is super warm. March 3, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Better than expected Love, love, love this jacket! Fit is great and it's very lightweight. Keeps me warm on cold days, but don't get too hot while in the car or if I run indoors wearing it- so it breathes well! February 27, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Little to tight Love the color. It fit a little too snug with the liner in. I would prefer some more exterior pockets like the men's style. Returning it, will need a bigger women's size or maybe get a men's February 26, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good product but... There is a inside zip pocket at chest level, but I miss having one on the outside for my keys. It is inconvenient (and possibly cold and/or wet) to have to unzipped the jacket to reach the inside pocket. February 25, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Wonderful jacket It was what I was expecting and I love the color but if I could have ordered 2x I would have but I really like it any way and thank you. February 13, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by A bit small but able to work around After reading the reviews I originally ordered a size up. When I got that jacket, it was really too big and will be going back so I reordered down a size. When I get that jacket I understood what people were saying about it running small. What I found with the smaller jacket was that the arms are still too long, I don't believe that I have short arms. So when I push the sleeves up the extra fabric makes the jacket bulky. Solution: The inner fleece on it's own fits nicely, I just turn up the sleeves an inch or two. I also find that not zipping it into the shell makes it less bulky on the rest of my body. I also love that I can wear the shell over my Benton springs fleece. As for warmth, I wore this last weekend sailing. 40 to 50 degrees on the water feels 5 to 10 degrees cooler and I was plenty warm. I expect you'd want something warmer when it gets to the 5 to 10 degree range. February 11, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome all around coat I wear a size 18-20 and this 3XL just does fit me. I love Columbia quality through and wanted a new snow coat. The macaw blue and bright pink is very vibrant. Not low key by no means. The reflective coating on the inside of the coat for heat is really awesome but my shirt sleeves do not side in and out as well as my old Columbia interchange coat which was more comfortable. Very pretty well made coat through. February 10, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Waaaaarrrrmmmm! Believe it or not, it can get really cold in Florida. As a result I bought this jacket. Separately the liner and the shell are nice light jackets, and the shell makes a great windbreaker. When I put them together I have a nice warm jacket for the few days a year that are bone- chilling cold. The quality is great and I expect to be wearing this jacket for many, many years. February 10, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Look & Fit! I love my new Columbia jacket! It fits perfect and the bright plum is so pretty. I like the fact the the Bugaboo jacket can be used as a warm coat, or a lighter layer that will keep you dry. I can't wait to use it on my upcoming trip to Iceland. February 8, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Coat I'm very impressed with this coat. It's pretty neat being a 3 in 1 to begin with but what has won me over is how warm it keeps me and how it blocks the wind from even getting through the material. It's water proof too and I have to say it was nice not having the water soak through the materiale specially the ice/sleet when it melts. It fits snug but I'm still able to move around as if I didnt have it on. Very Nice Coat and well worth the penny spent. January 28, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Too small I should have listened to other reviewers. This item was way too small in the shoulders and arms. I couldn't even get it on, and it was a 3X and I normally wear 2X. Columbia, I hope you realize that when people wear a 3X, they are usually fat, and that means fat arms. Sent it right back. January 27, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Jacket Overall I enjoy the jacket. So far I've worn mostly the fleece portion. We only had enough cold to justify both layers on a few days. It's much easier to put the layers together than other pieces I've tried and when put together, you can't tell it's a 2-piece. It's comfortable and roomy, but if you plan to layer (I live in the south...we don't do much of that) you might want to order a size up. I would recommend this jacket. January 25, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent jacket Based on the other comments I thought this jacket would run on the small size. I am a tall lady and have a hard time finding a jacket that is the right length for me. Most jackets end up to short in either the length or the wrists. For me I feel it runs true to size. I originally got a 2 sizes larger thinking it was going to be smaller and I wanted room to be able to wear a sweater underneath it as well. The only thing I wish is that the arms were a little larger. When I exchanged my jacket for a smaller size, the arms a little tighter than I would of thought if I bend my arms repeatedly. I don't think it will be an issue though. I believe it's going to work out great. The jacket is very warm and comfortable. January 24, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Columbia Jacket I am pleased with my new Columbia coat as I have been looking for a plus size Columbia coat for quite sometime. Coat is light weight and windproof. The cost though was a bit more than I really wanted to pay. Could have more color selections in plus sizes. Suggestion would be to have the white piping be reflective at night. January 23, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love this coat I agree with the reviews that the coat runs small; so I bought this a size bigger than I would normally and it fits fantastically! It warm and cozy and I love it!!! January 22, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by great coat! I ordered my usual size and hoped for the best since most people said it ran a little small. Mine was actually a little big. Could've gotten away with a 1x. But still great. Can wear a sweater with it. Only thing I would've liked is for it to have have a little longer. Other than that, great jacket! January 22, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Cozy Great jacket, very warm and cozy. I wore it for the first time this morning and it totally kept the chill out on my 2 block walk to the office at 12 degrees. The fleece collar on the liner is soft on my face. I did read in other reviews that it ran small. In Columbia I usually wear a 2X jacket so I ordered 3X. It is big enough to accommodate a thick sweater or multiple layers. January 19, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by 2X too small I was leery ordering a 2X but in fact it was too small. I am 5'4" and 198 lbs and the jacket did not fit around my belly with just a sweatshirt on. Very surprised. I returned it. January 18, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Spectacular The jacket is lightweight but keeps the warmth in. The sleeves are long enough to go just a bit beyond my wrist, so the skin is not exposed when glove wearing. The blue/fuchsia color is absolutely breathtaking! Would recommend to anyone who needs a jacket for coldish climates.. It doesn't get much below single digits and I was quite comfortable with this jacket. January 16, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Coat - Warm & Lightweight I love this jacket! It's extremely warm yet very lightweight. It's nice to have a non-bulky winter jacket. January 15, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Love this jacket I have had this jacket for about 3 weeks. I love the lightweight feel but it keeps me warm. If it is really windy out I need an extra layer on under it. Took the family tubing and loved that I didn't have a bulky jacket. January 12, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love it I had ordered a black in a size bigger as it said it ran small. The larger size was way too big. I returned it and got my normal size and it was perfect fit. Very warm and comfortable. The only negative I have to say is that they do not pay for returned shipping. But overall, I'm very happy with the jacket. January 6, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice Jacket I have purchased 4 of these jackets, 2 for myself and the other 2 were for gifts. I love mine, I got the red and the black, not as warm as I would like but they are not bulky which I like. I would have liked an inside pocket, there are none. In the colder weather I need to put on another layer under the jacket. Does keep me dry, love that. The other one I gave to my neighbor and she seems to like it so far. The other one I haven't given to my son as a gift as of yet, but I am sure he will love it. January 6, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by love my jacket I love this product, and get tons of compliments. January 5, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Coat This coat is fantastic. Very warm and water resistant. I love my coat. December 31, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Super Function--Poor Fit Great coat! The water beads up and rolls off just like I wanted. Like other reviewers I find that the fit runs small, particularly in the hip. Also, when wearing the liner with the shell it feels as though the liner is bigger than the outer jacket. The sleeves on the liner seem unusually tight between elbow and wrist, which may keep the drafts out, but feels odd. Workmanship and functional design are otherwise super and it is warm enough for an ordinary winter day in Western Washington! But work is needed on the fit, therefor four stars instead of five. Sincere thanks for making this in plus size. December 26, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Jacket Jacket could be a little longer over the hips for full figure women. I purchased this jacket less than 15 days ago and the price has decreased by 50 dollars. How to O receive a price adjustment? December 23, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Too cold This jacket is much colder than my other bugaboo jacket from Columbia. I am sad that after the week I got it the jacket went on sale for $60 less than what I paid December 22, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Beautiful Jacket I wear a 1X from the reviews most stated the sizes run small so I ordered a 2X. When I received the jacket & tried it on I think I should have ordered a 4X it definitely runs small! It's a beautiful jacket, sizing is off. December 21, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Jacket I love this jacket and is probably the nicest jacket I've had in years. The liner is soft and warm but with a NW winter, which is somewhat warm and wet, I removed it almost as soon as I got it. But the liner is a great lightweight jacket when it isn't raining. I'm large and short but fits nicely, the arms are a little long for me but with the velco straps to tighten around my wrists, it's totally fine. Waterproofing is great, I walk daily and never get wet. December 17, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Mrs My normal size but no way would this coat work. Returned it asap December 14, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Rainy weather Has been raining nearly every day since I received this coat. Very pleased. Stayed warm and dry but we are only talking cool weather not very cold weather. Need a warmer coat or sweater to keep arms etc warm. But good for usual Pacific Northwest weather. December 14, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice jacket This is a very nice jacket, however, I wish it had a 2 way zipper and it's not as warm as I had hoped December 9, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by What happened to the Bugaboo of yesteryear?? I have been wearing Columbia Bugaboo Jackets for over a two decades. This style is so far my least favorite!! This is not a heavy winter jacket, thought it is good for those days/nights that reach no less than 25 degrees for me. Even in freezing rain & snow I keep warm, but I incorporate thermal layers. Why I am not thrilled about this style?? There are no zippers on outside pockets nor regular inside pockets on the inner fleece jacket; the hood only detaches, opposed to the famous "Bugaboo" embroidered hideaway hood which is a feature that should never go away; and the cut is way smaller. I still have two older Bugaboo's in XL & they fit great, with this style I had to order a 2X & I wear a size 18. The inner fleece jacket arms are longer then the outside jackets piece and is FOREVER getting stuck onto the velcro, which has started the stitching to fray, which has never happened on any of the preceding Bugaboo styles and it is UTTERLY UBERLY annoying. I am hoping that Columbia comes out with a better rendition of the classic Bugaboo next year, I am not pleased. Unfortunately, I was unable to return it, if I could've I would've, truly a waste of money, GRRRR... I still recommend this product, because if someone is not familiar with differences in Bugaboo & their inner fleece arms & stitching being pulled out. Then I am sure others would have no problem, as long as they stay warm. December 4, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by 3 in 1 I bought this 3 in 1 for the versatility it offered for all year use. I wore it in New York recently (December). It was not as breathable as I thought it would be, so did get hot and sweaty wearing it with no extra layering. December 3, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Coat, Too Big I got my coat today and I was super excited to try it on. It feels warm and cozy, so I know it will be great for the winters here. I went with the reviews saying that it runs small so I ordered a 3x instead of the 2x. I am returning it to order the 2x. I also did not find the arm holes to be too snug, and I typically have problems with that in jackets. November 27, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not meant for cold weather. Even with both layers on this coat is not warm enough! I wore it outside in -10 for a few minutes and was freezing... The inner layer is nice and soft but the outer layer has no insulation so it's basically just a wind proof fleece jacket, so not worth the price. November 26, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not Winter Warm, very disappointed. I have never been able to afford a nice jacket for myself and I am so disappointed. I wore this jacket for the first time today, it was 27 degrees and I was very cold. It gets much colder than 27 in this area. I expect more from a 195.00 Jacket. If you live in the Northeast don't expect this Jacket to keep you warm. November 23, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Warm Rain Protection Living in the cold, wet, windy Pacific NW, I am always on the hunt for good weather protection. Not always a fan of interchange systems, but this jacket meets my requirements. I particularly like that the outer shell is not stiff and rubbery. The jacket, on its own, is a very nice fabric and lining. I like the removable hood option. I would prefer a 2way zipper and snaps rather than velcro, but other than that, I like this jacket a lot. I haven't had the coat long, but was caught in a windy drenching downpour, and although a short time, it kept me dry and comfortable. I am very happy with this jacket. November 20, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Exactly what I wanted I live in Virginia and our weather is known for being "bipolar". Just this week, for example, we were in the low 50's for two days and then jumped to the mid to upper 70's the rest of the week. Crazy right?! I needed a new rain jacket and winter jacket that fit. So I decided to get the interchangeable jacket. I read the reviews before purchasing and I'm glad I did. I am 5'4" and true 2XL plus size. I ordered the 3XL as the previous reviews said to do. Good thing too. The 2XL would have been just fine if I only wanted to wear a tshirt underneath it. But I like to layer, so the 3XL left plenty of room for a sweater or sweatshirt and there was still room to move and breathe! I didn't feel like I was being suffocated. It's surprisingly lightweight for the warmth that it provides. It's also long enough to cover my bottom, which seems to be hard to find nowadays. Overall, I would recommend this jacket. If you don't like to layer, I would stay true to your size (the size chart is on point). But if you want to wear bulkier items underneath the jacket I would up-size. October 29, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Comfortable material Love the look, great pocket space, a little small but overall comfortable October 13, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Quality This one runs a little small - suggest you order a size up, especially when considering the bulk of winter clothing. It is extremely well made and comes with a liner. I have not worn it yet because I had to return for a size up. There is some weight to the jacket but it is light enough for a winter coat.
