Reviews

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 117 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Love the versatility and quality I love this jacket - it is literally an all-weather jacket combo. I should've gotten a small - I'm 5'4" and 135 lbs and the medium is baggy. I wanted enough room to wear a sweater under, but the medium is still a little large. I bought the Dahlia color - rich wine, burgundy. Love it. July 8, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by First time purchase Not happy with the color or fit. Also, it's more like a fall jacket. Will never keep me warm in MI winters. May 10, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by SO AWESOME! I have been a Columbia fan for over 15 years and have never been disappointed!! This company has it together...from their products to their customer service! May 9, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Fit Excellent quality. I like the fact that the jacket has a removable lining. If it gets warmer, can remove. Got a small. A little snug in the arms because well padded but medium would have been too big. Going on Alaska cruise so need added warmth for evenings. April 23, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great light duty jacket Omni heat keeps you warm and outtershell keeps you dry. Perfect for winter in the Pacific Northwest. Not heavy enough to take to the slopes or back country but great for day hikes and day to day wear. March 14, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Womens Bugaboo Interchange Jacket You can't go wrong with Columbia. I absolutely LOVE this jacket/coat. As a tall/lengthy woman with a very small frame I have a hard time finding clothing to fit not only my body but my long arms. The sleeves on this jacket are super long which I absolutely LOVE!!! I couldn't have made a better purchase. Initially, I ordered a size up (LRG), but when I received the coat it was far too big. So, Customer service helped me return the jacket and get a medium. Even with the medium I have plenty of room to put layers underneath. I am 5'11 125lbs. I normally wear a size 0-5 depending on the brand. But, always have to order a size up due to the length of my arms. Customer service told me that from the XS-L there is only a 1/2 inch difference in the length of the sleeves. So, I would suggest ordering your regular size. Hope you enjoy this jacket as much as I am. It is so very warm, waterproof, and windproof. I bought this for snowy/cold weather and skiing. ENJOY!!!! March 11, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Love this jacket I bought this jacket for my teen daughter and she absolutely loves it. It's a nice looking jacket that keeps her warm. Breaks down into a lighter weight jacket for when the weathers a little warmer. Will definitely get out money out of it. March 3, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic Coat I love the versatility of this jacket. It will keep me warm yet it's not bulky. I was so overjoyed to get this jacket at such a great price. March 2, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product Love this jacket. Very light weight, deep pockets. You will never be cold in this jacket . Easy to move around in and it does not restrict you from doing any body movement. March 2, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome! Love this jacket. The liner is nice enough to wear alone. Love the quality! March 2, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by love this coat I was hesistant when I 1st pulled it out of the package because it was so light. I wore it and it keeps me warmer than my old bulky coat. Very pretty in color. March 2, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by sweet@4305 Just a comfortable jacket. That is very true jacket that I wear all the time seen I got that jacket. March 1, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by LOVE THIS COAT! I have been a die hard colombia fan for years and I have always had luck with their clothes. But this jacket by far is the best one I've ever had. Light weight and super warm! I highly recommend this jacket for anyone buying a new winter coat! February 27, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great ski wear This ski outfit I purchased for my granddaughter is beautiful and very comfortable on the slopes. Delivery was very fast. Excellent service. I would recommend Columbia and this product with no reservations. Thank You February 26, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excited to get some use out of this jacket I just received this jacket and I look forward to getting a lot of use out of it. I love how functional each piece is on its own. The sleeves are a tiny bit long but I don't foresee that being a problem - I just tightened the wrists a little. I love the nocturnal atoll colors. February 25, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great coat for MILD TEMPERATURES This coat is great, but not if you live in a freezing cold place. I live in upstate NY, and it isn't warm enough to compete with the 5 degree morning temperatures. This coat is awesome for people who live in more mild climates. I wouldn't buy this if it gets colder than 30 degrees. February 24, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect jacket! I just love this jacket! I love it so much I bought two. It is perfect, lightweight, warm and roomy enough for a sweatshirt underneath, even though you don't need one. Perfect for snowy days in Tahoe and Yosemite, or windy days in San Francisco. February 21, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great fit and function I got this coat for my teenager. She hates coats but happily wears this and often tells me how comfortable it is. February 20, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Everything I expected and more! I just bought this jacket to use for skiing and I absolutely love it! A few complaints here say that they dislike this jacket because it is "flimsy" persay, and I would agree that this jacket is not "sturdy," but it gives you great motility for skiing that I could not love more. It is very light and easy to wear. I ordered a Medium (I'm 5'9", 150 pounds) and it fits me perfectly. Which says a lot because I usually struggle with having sleeves that are too short. The fleece on the inside is comfy and it is nice and warm and I can't wait to use it out on the mountains again. I give this a 10/10. Good buy that was very affordable; thanks Columbia! February 16, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Unhappy The sleeves are too small. I got a 2x as the sizes seem a lot smaller, my other jackets are Large, I wish that i still had my old coat. Not happy with the material of the inner jacket traps moisture. Loved the colour but thats it. February 13, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great cold weather coat I was in need of a new winter coat to survive the cold Pittsburgh winters and this one does the trick! It keeps me super warm when the temps dip below 0 but doesn't overheat me when it gets above 32. The sleeves are long enough to comfortably fit my 6 foot frame. It's also not too restrictive when I'm driving. The collar also pops up nice and high to help cut down the wind. I am really pleased with this coat! February 11, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great coat I bought this coat for my daughter last year. Just bought it for myself. The color I got Nocturnal/Atoll . The outer color looks sun faded which i did not care for too much and the sleeves ran a good 3in past my fingers. February 10, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love, love, love! I am a huge Columbia fan, and I have worn all sorts of different products from shoes to jackets to hats. I have never encountered anything that I have disliked. I read some reviews where the quality of the jacket was not up to par, which made me slightly hesitant... Though at it's sale price and my need for a winter jacket that could be made into separates, I took a chance. I live in Tennessee, where the weather has it's own mind and it can be snowing and cold one week and the next it can be in the 60's. I also work outside, so I wanted a jacket that I could use as a shell for lighter weather, and with a sweater inside that I could combine and use for those random snow days or when the wind cuts you. This jacket is absolutely perfect for keeping me the right amount of warm in all situations. I purposely want a jacket that is a size bigger, in order to have layers underneath comfortably. It is the perfect size, I believe, considering I can wear things underneath it without it becoming too tight, but I can also wear it alone and it not be annoyingly baggy or giving me the figure of a burnt black marshmellow. The sleeves are long, however, which is surprising because my arms are long! As being 5'9, I'd rather them be too long than short (like most long sleeved items are for me), haha. This jacket will be worn for a very long time to come. :] February 1, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by No comparison to my older Bugaboo Guess I expected better from Columbia. Compared to my same style Bugaboo jacket purchased 8 yrs ago which I cannot speak highly enough about, I was shocked - new jacket is flimsy, the inner lining does not prove up to standards and sleeves are two tight and long. An unhappy customer January 29, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Warm jacket I already have a jacket with the omni heat lining and love it. So I had to have a second one. January 29, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by SO glad I ordered this! I was a little skeptical ordering this coat on-line seeing as how I was not able to try it on it person first. However, it fits just perfect! It's super warm and durable. The multi layer function is great for when I don't want to be wearing such a heavy jacket. I would definitely recommend this coat to anyone looking for a warm coat to wear in the snow. January 28, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love it! Bought this for my daughter and she loves it. Size Medium is a little big but will work fine for layering over sweaters. January 22, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Winter Coat Wonderful coat bought it for winter purchased a Medium the arms are a little longer then expected but it was a great buy I absolutely love it and it's definitely warm January 22, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Jacket I love the look and function of this jacket. I purchased the emerald jacket and just love the color. The jacket is keeping me warm and dry and I love it. January 20, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Cold Weather wonder This jacket fits great, love the zip out liner, color is fun. January 16, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Warm Jacket Well made winter jacket. It has kept me warm with single digit wind chills. January 14, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very nice coat Very nice coat. I tried Black and white in M, same size of my others Columbia coat and it was really big but still ok in one piece. The fleece inside alone was perfect but the rain jacket on it's own was way too big. I thing it come from the fact that to include a removable fleece a few inches are added near zipper on each side. You could size down but for me, I have broad shoulders and think that the small fleece inside would have been too small. January 14, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by great colors and lots of adjustments and closures I purchased this jacket for downhill skiing and have been pleased with how well it works in blowing snow and sunshine. I find that it is important to air it out between uses to keep it fresh. January 8, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Definitely waterproof, wind breaker, visible with its reflectives, and warm when active and when temperature is not too cold. Like the deep zipper pockets. Recently walked on icy path in windy weather in high teens F and after about 15 min arms felt cold. When temperature is in negative degrees F, it doesn't feel warm. When I started out cold, putting it on doesn't necessarily warm me. When zipped up all the way, the interior layer often chafes the chin. Usually wears M, but owns L. January 7, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love it! This is the best Jacket I've ever purchased. I love that it's water proof as I live in the Pacific North West. Living where I do the weather on occasion can go thru what it seems all four seasons in one day, so it makes this Jacket perfect as it's actually 3 in one with the zip out inside liner, outside liner and then all zipped up together :) I will from here on out always rely on Columbia. January 5, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Coat, Slightly Bulky First, I should state that I am extremely cold natured. I am always freezing. That being said, this coat kept me warm in 35 degree weather. This might not mean much to some people, but it means a lot to me. Second, this coat is functional. The two layers zip together very easily, and they work extremely well both individually and in conjunction. I have actually wear the lining apart from the shell rather frequently. My only (minor) complaint is the size of the coat. When hiking, it feels a little bulky. It was a bit of a challenge to get my puffy arms through my backpack straps. However, I ordered a size up (M instead of S) for the purpose of range of motion. In either case, the warmth is definitely worth the size of the coat. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase. January 3, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Christmas present for my daughter I bought this coat for my daughter for Christmas. She loves this coat, she said it is very light weight and very warm. She thanked me several times. She liked it so much that I ordered one for myself I'm waiting for it to arrive, can't wait! January 2, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Terrible quality I created an account just to warn everyone from purchasing this jacket; this is the second one I've had in 3 years that has literally fallen apart at the seams. Go for North Face instead, ladies! December 30, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not comfortable I love the look of the jacket, and the color, but could not stand the slick feeling on the inside of the coat, especially the sleeves. I usually get an LL Bean jacket, and wanted to try the Columbia this time. I really wish I could keep it, but was not comfortable to me. December 29, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Women’s Bugaboo™ Interchange Jacket Columbia Sportswear spoiled me and this new jacket did not live up to my expectations. It was difficult to see that the inside of the fleece liner is "metallic"? I was trying to replace my previous jacket that I've worn for about 20 years! My old Columbia jacket was two piece - black fleece with zippered pockets and waterproof shell (or greatly water resistant) shell with lots of pockets. My old coat snapped over the zipper, which I prefer. This new jacket velcros over the zipper and, if the jacket is open, the velcro sticks on your clothes ... a pain. The new fleece is lined with "metallic" material and it isn't as warm as my old fleece liner (only 40 degrees out and I'm cold wearing the new jacket with a turtleneck & wool sweater under it). They have a men's jacket in the same style as my old coat, but I couldn't find one in women's ... well, actually, I thought I had, but the photos did not make the metallic lining and velcro obvious. However, this is a very lightweight jacket and the shell is fully waterproof, so if that's what you're looking for, this will fulfill your requirements. It would probably be effective, if it were about 50 degrees outside. It's too snug to wear a heavy sweatshirt under the jacket. December 23, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Jacket I originally bought the Medium size because thats what I normally wear....I ended up exchanging it for an Extra Small!! I suppose if I wanted to layer under it, then a Medium would have been okay. It's really cool that you can wear this in three different ways. You can wear just the outer layer, which is a VERY light rain proof shell. The fleece part is SUPER warm. I feel like I would just wear that if it wasn't raining and be nice and toasty. The both of them combined is just perfect. Very nice quality and button attachments and zippers make it so the fleece layer stays attached to the outer layer and doesn't get all bunched up. Great jacket! Very happy with it!!! December 19, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Women's Bugaboo All interchange Jacket Awesome jacket....it's like having 3 separate coats. rain, light weight for spring and all combined for winter...Love it...thanks December 16, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice but big My daughter picked this jacket for her Christmas gift this year. When it came in, I had her try it for size before I wrapped it. Good thing I did. It was quite big on her, and she was wearing a sweatshirt under it. I am am exchanging it for a smaller size. Other than the fit, it was just what she wanted. December 16, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great jacket! I knew I wanted a jacket that would hold up to the midwest winters - this jacket is perfect! December 16, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by A bit Large but Warm Although the item seems to be very warm and comfy, I had to return it because the fit was a bit large. I'm usually a small in previous jackets but this one seemed to big, even with other layers beneath the jacket. Nonetheless, the material and as I mentioned, the warmth, seem great. December 14, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not What It Seems While the function of the jacket is spot on and it is definitely incredibly warm, "Ruby Red" isn't even close to being red! I was expecting a jacket that claims is red would be Christmas red or fire truck red and look like the picture. This jacket was by no means red. It was more of a watermelon pink...which is a pretty color, but not when you expecting red. And having to pay for shipping to return the jacket is entirely ridiculous. Don't buy the Ruby Red if you are expecting red! December 14, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great buy. Love the jacket! Will buy another next season. Other family members have purchased similar items too! December 11, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect for me! I really like this jacket, but not the fact that it is over $40 cheaper than it was a week and a half ago-ARGH! But, other than that, it is exactly what I wanted. It isn't too bulky, seems warm enough for me, love the color and the style, and I like the fact that I can use it in the spring for a rain jacket with the liner removed because it's wateproof, and I can wear the liner in the fall for enough cozy warmth for that time of year. Good job Columbia! December 8, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not very warm as advertised. I wore it yesterday in 2 C/35F but was not really warm . May be I had higher hopes from this jacket. Also the inner fleece material is not good enough to be worn alone. So all in all its 2 jackets and not 3. My husband bought Mens bugaboo interchange jacket, his fleece jacket (gray in color ) was somewhat better than my white Fleece. But the not really upto the mark in terms of warmth. I liked the jacket otherwise . So I recommend it to people who are not looking for a really warm jacket. The emarald color is really nice . December 7, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very nice jacket Bought this jacket for my daughter who is 13. So far she loves it. Will be using for skiing and every day use. December 6, 2015
