Women’s Bugaboo™ Pant – Extended Size is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 45.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from wrong size inbetween sizes for 1X and 2X. Boo. Cost too much to have to resend back. I wished the sizes crossed over.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Snow pants Living in Alberta Canada, winters can be very snowy and cold. I have been out in -33 windchill and snow. These pants kept me warm and having to go to a 2x I can comfortably wear jeans and feel comfortable while I move and be active through out my days. Would recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely fantastic I loved this and I loved the color! The only thing that was kinda a bummer was that there was only one pocket on the pants and that the inside lining to pull the waist tighter was Velcro. Other than that I am completely satisfied.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good quality, but horrendous fit I am typically a size 22 in pants and opted for the 3XL size based on other reviews that these pants run small. I was hugely disappointed when I received these, as I LOVED the colour (pink!), quality seemed great, but the fit was HORRENDOUS. I could get them on and do them up no problem, but I found them so tight in the leg that I couldn't bend over or crouch down - obviously something you do need to be able to do. Despite being very tight, there was enormous gaping at the back of the waistband. My figure, while plus-size (which is apparently a nightmare to cater to), is pretty well proportioned! I don't understand how a pair of pants that are typically designed to have a bit of room in them could fit so poorly when they state the size is 24-26, when I wear a size 22. It makes me feel very disappointed for people with a larger build as I have searched high and low to find fun, well-fitting, well-made ski pants and this was my last hope. Why bother!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Get a size up I tend to have a tough time fitting 'regular size' snowpants as my thighs are very muscular and I have wider hips. I decided to try these line of pants for the first time. Luckily I got a size bigger than I would normally get as they do run rather small. All in all. Great pants, if I'm colder weathers you may need a few layers though.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Like so far Based on reviews I ordered one size up. They are a little big in the hips and waist. The adjustable waist solves the waist issue and in order to wear for activities other than walking in the cold, the extra room in the hips is needed. I have worn them once at about 30 degrees with just cuddle duds underneath and they kept me warm and dry. Overall I am happy with these snow pants. Kudos to Columbia for making active wear for plus size women.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Big time gapping in the back I'm 5'8 260 lbs and hourglass shaped with a wide bottom. I got the XXL thinking that would work. They do fit over my hips, but the waistband gaps out about 4 inches from my lower back, and I don't want to moon the world or get snow down my backside. I think some elastic on the waistband (which does not seem to be adjustable at all) would go a long way. Belts don't usually work very well for me. I think I might want to try a bib style snowpant, but unfortunately doesn't look like Columbia carries that style. I also note that these are very long pants. I am pretty tall and they worked, but someone even a little shorter than I would probably be walking on the ends of these pants.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Plus Size Ski Pants!!!! 5' 4" 195 lbs apple shaped I'm a plus size advanced skier from Utah and it has always been a pain to find womens ski pants big enough to fit around my waist. I always resorted to men's pants but they were ridiculously long. THESE ARE GREAT WOMENS FIT PANTS! I'm on my second pair now. Warm, waterproof, nice wide waistband. A little long on me- I wish the young had a short version. Am doing a little "puffy" but overall the best fitting women's plus size ski pant available- believe me - I've tried them all.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Love the style but the fit didn't work for me I didn't end up keeping this pant in the end as I was between the 1X and 2X sizes. If you have bigger thighs or butt it won't work very well - it's definitely more of a slim fit pant. The 2X was way too roomy, but the 1X I couldn't get over my thighs. I still like the Columbia product but not this specific style for me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Buy a size too big! I'm glad I went with a size too big to accommodate a second layer; still a little snug. Love them otherwise.
Date published: 2016-12-10
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Runs a little snug, but will be warm! I usually wear a 2x, but I sized up in these pants just to be sure, and I'm glad I did. They have almost like a wind pant built into them and then the waterproof pant and they have zero stretch. They're super cute though and will be great for Colorado weather tomorrow!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Plus size in the snow Thank you for allowing me to have quality clothing just like everyone else out there enjoying the snow. It is hard to find plus size clothing for woman who want to be active but need clothing while we start new journeys in our lives. fit is true to size, and better quality than other brands I have seen, will be buying more

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Finally! I have been looking for a pair of pants for snowboarding and just playing in the snow but never found any that fit my size. I wear a size 18-20 in jeans and have a big backside. It was nearly impossible to find a good looking, thin pair of snow pants (I don't need any extra fluff) Anyhow after looking online at my options the buggaboo pant kept coming up so I decided to give them a try. I was so excited when they came and they fit wonderfully. I got a 3X they are a tad big, however I think the 2X might be a bit too snug for squatting wearing a base layer etc. The best part is that they look like the other "cute" girl brands out there. Extra bonus...when I sit my backside is still covered. Being a shorter gal I do wish that they sold these in short reg and tall. They are a bit on the longer side but with boots they are fine (much better then wearing guy pants and having a mile of extra leg) I am now looking into the omniheat version for colder days (and more color options) Thanks Columbia for realizing that there is a market for extended snow sizes :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME SAUCE in a snow pant I wore these suckers ALL over Iceland, hiking glaciers, skiing and just keeping warm under the layers. I couldn't recommend these pants more. I love the color, the adjustability and the overall appearance of the pant.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warm and Functional, but needs more pockets I bought these for a trip to CO. They were a little snug, but I managed. I do wish they had more pockets in the front or cargo pockets on the side. They did keep me warm and dry, and I will use them many times in the future.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Short-Waisted in Plus Size Loved the quality and the product but the crotch to waist measurement is too short on these to be comfortable for skiing and sitting in the snow as intended. Unfortunately I have to return them. Love that Columbia has plus sizes but this is not the right cut for a plus size.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I am short and round... I went up a size in these for a little extra wiggle room and layering. I don't normally wear 3X but found that after trying on the 2x which fit, that I wanted a little more room. I am 5'1" and approx 200lbs so they are a little long, but a non-issue with winter boots. These fit perfect for me. I also used suspenders with these to hold them up for snowshoeing and general winter snow removal.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 3rd times a charm I started out ordering the XL and they did not go around my waist even with the velcro all the way out. Then tried a 1X and they were tight in the legs, was afraid if I sat down they might split out the seams. Then I ordered the 2XL and they are big in the waist, but with a seamstress doing some alterations, they will be good. They will fit over leggings no problem. Just sorry they don't have a more adjustable waist with maybe some elastic.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed - weird fit First off let me describe my body type. I'm a apple/ athletic fit - no defined waist, narrow hips, flat butt and muscular legs. I usually wear an 18 or 20 in Columbia. When I try on skinny jeans that fit my waist the thigh & upper leg area are baggy - to give you an idea. Secondly let me note that this is my 4th pair of Columbia ski/snowboard pants. I currently have 2 older pair that I wear for snowboarding. Both are a size 2x - same as the size I recently purchased. Here's the differences: 1- No side vent- my other 2 older pair have side vents. This pair doesn't have them. :( 2- The waist is tightish even with the interior tabs at their loosest. The new pair also dig into my waist when I bend over but leave a HUGE gap in the back. The older pairs I have to have the tabs pulled as tight as possible and sometimes wear a belt. They are also completely comfortable and don't restrict my movement. 3- It fits snug in the upper legs. They are fine when I'm standing but the moment I move and especially if I squat or bend over it gets tight. 4- The Leg Gaiter- My 2 older pair on the inside leg gaiter have velcro and then elastic & snap at the bottom. These just have extra fabric. 5- My 2 older pair are boring white and grey. The new one is a pretty plum color. 6- I'm 5'4" wish your ski/ snowboard pants came in different lengths. ALL of my Columbia pants are too long. I haven't tested these in the snow yet but.... I'm concerned about the waist cutting off circulation when bending over to lock in to my snowboard, I'm not sure how the new gaiter setup is going to work. I tried the pants on with my snowboard boots and while they fit it came unsnapped really easy because the elastic was sewn so tight. I have a feeling the snap will come unsnapped on it's own. With the legs being tightish I could see it being annoying having to pull the pant up so that I have room in my upper legs to move. I'm only recommending this product because Columbia is one of the only companies that carries plus size ski/snowboard pants. Lastly a plea to Columbia - Please Please Please make Soft Shell Ski/Snowboard pants!!! The fit of these pants might work better for me if it was made of the more forgiving soft shell material.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE these ski pants! The Columbia Bugaboo plus-size ski pant is perfect for me and I highly recommend it for a certain figure type. I am a size 16 and very straight. That is, my hips are fairly narrow for my size and I don't have much booty. These pants in a 1x skim right over me and snap securely at the natural waist without being too tight in the middle - YAY! If you are one of the curvy types with a big butt, thighs, hips, these probably will not work for you, but if you have a slimmer or boyish figure, do not hesitate to try these. They are warm, soft inside, waterproof, and the length is not bad for someone 5'4. Highly recommended!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice color, warm,...legs are a bit wide Ordered these in a 2X, I wear a size 18W in jeans and am 5'8". The waist fits good, maybe a touch big but they have elastic and Velcro adjustable waist. The legs are a bit long but I'm sure once I wear with boots I won't notice. Ordered these in Purple Dahlia, I love the color and they will accent my Columbia 3 in 1 interchangeable jacket nicely. Wish I would have waited 3 days to get $30 off. On the downside, I feel the leg (from knee to ankle) is REALLY wide. Wish they could make snow pants with more of a bootcut leg. I'm sure these will work nicely for playing in the snow with my kids.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Awkward fit Returning these due to awkward fit and proportions. They seem designed for a man, or at least a woman with far less curves than I have! I had hoped by going with a 1X, rather than the standard XL version of these pants, that they would've adapted the cut to wider hips, different waist-to-hip ratio, etc. that's typical of "X" sizing. Not the case here, though. Very tight through the thighs (uncomfortable to sit down in), way too long (I'm 5'6''), and waist was many inches too big (goes straight up from the hips). The design and material seems great, but the fit doesn't seem meant for a curvy lady!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Love these snow pants! I bought these last winter at the end of the season. The reviews were pretty accurate about sizing being a little small. I wear an 18w and purchased the 1x. It's a little snug but at the time there was no 2x available. For what I needed these were perfect! Going snow tubing and playing with the dog in the snow. I just wore a pair of leggings underneith and I was ready to go. They kept me warm and dry! I Most Definitely Recommend This Product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible Snow Pants! I was in a panic trying to find a pair of snow pants that actually fit, days before leaving for our mountain vacation. I saw these online, ordered them, and received them the next day. They fit like they were tailored for me. I'm 5'10" and usually wear a 22-24 pant or a 2x-3x. They are comfortable, light enough to easily get on and move around, but heavy enough to keep you warm. They are so well made that even after skidding on asphalt in a parking lot for multiple feet you couldn't phase them. No damage at all! I seriously didn't want to take them off, they are such great pants!!! Way to go Columbia!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ideal for large, pear-shaped skiers I live in northwest Minnesota, where serious cold-weather gear is critical. I am a large woman, typically wearing pants size 16 or 18, and when I went to buy pants for snow wear at my local sporting-goods store, I found nothing over size 12. I finally ended up buying some men's pants in size XL. Apparently fat chicks are not to be seen outside in winter. So I was very excited to find these pants offered in 'extended sizing' by Columbia. My waist, 40", is very large compared to my hips, so to be on the safe side, I ordered the 2X. I was delighted to find that I had plenty of extra room in the waist. I was less thrilled by how much room I had everywhere else. According to the CDC, the average woman in America is 5'4" tall. I am just over 5'5", and am swimming in these things. They are positively baggy through the hip and thigh, and the bottom opening is likewise huge. There are some thoughtful design elements that allow for significant adjustment, and I *love* the length of the rise. I hate low-rise garments that just fall off me; these sit comfortably at my waist, but are inches too long, even over boots. When they arrived, I took them out for a test walk: a brisk mile in 6 degrees, with a wind chill factor of -14F. I wore them with a thin pair of silk long underwear. I didn't feel impeded by the extra fabric, and they're surprisingly quiet. The fabric and insulation are thin and nonbulky. I didn't feel the wind through the pants at all. My legs never felt cold--but they never felt warm either. In temps this low, it's probably wise to wear a heavier base layer. When I bought them, the only color available was the pink, which is pretty gruesome--a lurid fuchsia that might be comforting to those phobic about avalanches. I was dismayed to find that TODAY I could buy blue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Would recommend! Used for my first full day of skiing. I stayed warm and dry (sadly tested often with falls) all day. I was worried when they first arrived and were so thin but I was not chilly once!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pants the Fit They fit; they are warm; they are great to snowboard in. Could do without pink but hey, the kids can find their mom on the slopes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Toasty Thought I was buying these too late for this season, but Wisconsin remains in the throes of winter. Yesterday went snowshoeing and the pants kept me toasty warm. They fit over my jeans and the gaiters meant no snow melting into my boots. Love it and love the pants.
Date published: 2014-02-26
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warm and comfortable I am a size 18 woman and the 1X fit very nicely. My build is more of a tree trunk, with a larger waist and I am very satisfied with the waist size of these pants. The only negative would be that as a skier, I would prefer to have two front, zipped pockets. These pants only have one, and it's very low on the leg. Not convenient to put a cell phone.
Date published: 2014-02-23
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not for the short people These are great pants but since I'm so short, I had to cuff them under. The wideness of my snow boots make them keep. They fit wonderful otherwise. I use them to play in the snow with my toddler and to shovel with all the snow we've had in the midwest this year. If you're 5'5 or under, they will be too long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT QUALITY I am 5'4" and, while I am overweight, I have always carried about 25 'unseen' pounds. (My 'slim' is about 160!) I weigh 215 but I wear a 14 pant, L top. I have the 'bubble' butt and chubby thighs. These pants were too big in every dimension except the thighs! This was a bummer for me; but I don't blame the quality of the pants--I always have this trouble, slim or heavy. I bought online several ski pants and tried them all. These were the only ones I could get up! The waist tabs helped hold them up nicely. They were also about 2-3" too long... They did look quite nice on though... The fabric is beautiful. Best for very cold conditions as they are well insulated. Not for skiing above 40 deg F.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great ski pants I really like the color and the fit of these pants. I purchased 3X just in case but could have probably gone down to a 2X. I normally wear size 20 women's pants. The color is a little brighter than I imagined but still cute. They are kind of midway between red and pink in color.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bugaboo pants I purchased these pants online because I was looking for something in a larger size that had some flexibility. Since I am constantly up and down on the scale, per say, these pants will work great. They were pretty true to size, maybe slightly larger, but there is Velcro in the waist that will allow for adjustment. They are nicely made and feel very comfortable. Good purchase for a great value. I would recommend them!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Ski pants So excited to find a pair of ski pants in 1x. They came quickly and then I was disappointed. They were closer to a size 16 than 1x. Sent them back

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Far So Good I purchased these because they were on sale and I needed pants that were a little roomier. They are slightly larger than I need but still fit nicely. I've been out shoving the driveway in them and they are nice and warm. Haven't put them to the snowmobile test yet but I think they will be great. Recommend them for sure!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Product, Runs a Little Big... These pants kept me warm and dry as I skied in Colorado. I loved how well the pants were made, felt, and functioned. These pants run very true to size and potentially a little larger (maybe room for base-layer), so be aware of the measurements before you purchase the pants.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Plus Size Pant I'm an advanced skier who just had twins. Tried at least 20 pair of plus size ski pants and these are by far the best option. I'm 5'4" and 215 lbs and apple shaped with a post pregnancy belly, I originally purchased the XXL but they were huge. Got the XL which fit perfectly. (except in length... they're very long) It's impossible to come across a stylish cute fitting pair of plus size ski pants, but this is as close as you can get. Super warm pants that are made of great quality... these are your BEST BET! Good luck and hope this review helps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for bigger ladies I love these snow pants. Not only are they not bulky, but they fit in the hip area and the material is sturdy. They are also warm without being suffocating and look very nice. I like the different color options but was surprised that they run so big. All in all a great product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big Girls Play Outside Too! I was looking for a pair of snow pants to get me through Chicago winters. I have now have these through 3 winters and they are worth every penny! From shoveling snow to tubing to everything in between, they have worn very well. I am 5'10" and theses were a perfect length. I was afraid they would be tight in the hips since I have a big butt(size 20 jean), so I ordered a 3x instead of a 2x and use the adjustment velcro at the waist to size it smaller at the top. This worked well for me. The pants look good on too - not too poofy, but still keep me comfy and warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great snow pants! I bought these as an "emergency" pair of snow pants for an impending snow trip with my family. They fit great, are adjustable and kept me dry and warm but not too hot on a part snow/part sun day. No need for a base layer and they covered my giant boots well so no snow got in my boots on our many trips down the tube runs. I'm so glad I gave these a try.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Plus Size Gal in Love with Columbia I am a plus size girl and in jeans I am a comfy size 20. Prior to buying I looked everywhere online at snow pants and was comparing the size charts and even looked into men pants. I finally took the plunge and bought theses pants… I LOVE THEM!!! I did buy a 3x just because I like roomy and I like to wear jeans underneath my snow pants. According to the size chart I would be a 2x but being scared and no time to exchange prior to a trip I went with the 3x. They are a little big but I wouldn’t want anything smaller. They have an awesome waist band and the pockets on the butt don’t make the pants tight in the butt (major plus). Also I like that the pockets in the front are lower down on the leg and not right up off of the waist band like jeans. These pockets you can zip and they don’t feel like the pants just went down a size. All my “skinny” friends on the trip commented on how nice they looked and with my Columbia (Plus size) jacket they said it made me look slimmer. Who would of thought snow gear could make you look slimmer, I felt confident in them and didn’t feel like I could split my pant any minute now going up and down the slopes. All and all I love them and I was thrilled that they cost the same if not cheaper than the regular sizes. Columbia really has something going here with the women’s plus size line.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good skipants I bought these to wear when teaching skischool; so far, so good. I have only used them 3 times and I have been warm and dry. There is plenty of room for bending and stretching around the ski equipment. Also there is room to add layers for colder days. I am tall and the length is good. I like these pants.
