Rated 5 out of 5 by Great buy! Ordering on line was easy, got them fast, size was perfect and just love the fit! Will definitely order again on line, Thanks Columbia! March 13, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Like! Impressed with light weight boots. It will be nice to not have the extra boot weight when walking. Love the omni heat lined coats I have, so am looking foward to having warm feet next winter. I read other reviews recommending to buy a bigger size. Normally wear 9.5 and bought a 10. Glad that I did. March 2, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by best boots ever made I got a pair of these boots in different color 5 years ago. I live in a rural area with horses, mud, snow. I wear these boots daily in winter. my feet have never got wet or cold. I wipe them off and people think they are brand new. these are truly the best boots ever made. thank you so much February 25, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great boots This boots arrived just in time for a snow storm. They were fantastic, very warm. I wore them more than I intended without breaking them in, and had no problems. I haven't taken them on a long hike yet. February 24, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Boots All I can say is GOOD! GOOD! GOOD! Fits my feet and around the legs. Very Warm and great traction. February 17, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Wanted to love them but couldn't I gave this an average rating because the shoes filled my immediate needs: dryness and warmth. I was hoping I could use these for short hikes / snowshoeing as well, given their style and nature but I found them quite uncomfortable to actually walk in. The sole is hard and unyielding and tired my feet/toes within 50 yards. The laces are too short to actually secure at the top, if you skip a hook you can do it. Yes I can replace these, but for the price point, I shouldn't have to. Also, I found it strange the the U shaped tongue gap was so low, it actually exposed my leg on either side of the tongue and I don't know anyone who has a 3 inch diameter leg that this wouldn't be problematic for. This makes it not waterproof to the top of the boot as advertised. However, I pulled my jeans over it and I took my dog to the park where I stomped through foot and a half snow for about 20 minutes with no problem with moisture and my feet stayed nice and warm, the snow was somewhere between powder and slightly wet, so I wouldn't be so confident in wetter/heavier snow. I was impressed it had a built in hook for gaiters. I won't be returning them as they fit the bill for shoveling, short walks between car and destination in slushy conditions, but I also wont' be using them for anything more strenuous because of the uncomfortableness in merely walking. There is cushion and arch support, but you certainly don't feel it. If I had paid full price for them, I definitely would have returned them. February 17, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love this boot! I bought these boots because I was only wearing Uggs outside... My feet were always cold!! I was just able to try out the boots in the last couple of days. This morning it was -13 degrees and my feet were fine! They are a little stiff but I will attribute that to them needed to be worn some more. February 14, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Women's bugaboot Even though I am returning my because their to big I ordered a size 6. However I was impressed with the quality and construction of the boots I will be ordering a half size smaller February 13, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good boots for cold and wet weather. Great boots for tromping around in the snow in, such as for shoveling out your driveway. Not perfectly hot and toasty, but that's exactly what you're paying for when you buy this boot rather than the warmer versions (ex Titanium). Basically good for every day suburban life. Very stiff around the ankle though; make sure to wear tall socks because you are going to feel it, for sure. Laces untie all the time unless you double knot them. Careful when running; you may find yourself getting caught in your own hooks. February 12, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice boot, but I miss my older models. First, there are at least three reviews on this page that are complaining about the rubber on the older model of boot cracking. You should know - that is NOT this boot, so that complaint is more than a little unfair. That said - I also owned a pair of the previous model boot (the Bugabootoo), and YES, the rubber cracked and crumbled at the toe. (After nearly 7 years of use, in my case.) I have heard that Columbia considers that a design flaw (and was replacing boots, though I don't know for how long, and I didn't ask that mine be replaced). I bought these, hoping they would be as good. Well, I began with the lower model (the ones with the 6" shaft and one set of speed hooks, made in Vietnam), thinking that they looked the most like my Bugabootoos. Wow, was I disappointed. They felt weirdly 'stuffed', making them feel both too small, and yet too loose at the heel, at the same time. And the ankles were *really* soft and flexible, and the laces only went through fabric loops. I felt like the quality had GREATLY declined. Then I thought I would give these, the Plus IIIs a try. Even though I did NOT want a taller boot, and 2 sets of speed hooks. For whatever reason, these boots, made in China (like the Bugabootoos), DO feel stiffer and stronger around the ankle. This is a GOOD thing, it means they're supportive. They are not, however, as stiff as the Bugabootoo. You may think that's great - I think that's terrible, since I'm concerned that it means a boot of lesser quality. I LOVED the stiffness of my clodhopper, snow-stomping Bugabootoos, because it meant that I was getting a boot that would be very supportive, and built to last. I didn't mind that they 'bruised' the ankle for the first week of wear - again, it meant they were wonderfully supportive. These Plus III boots are SUPER light. Probably half the weight of the old ones. (Not high on my priority list, but whatever.) The lower part of the boot is, surprisingly, NOT rubber. It's some sort of molded, waterproof, man-made material - and I didn't even notice at first. The soles are of course rubber, as is the toe-kick protector. They fit well, true to size (but I like my boots snug, and I don't 'leave room' for thick socks...you should never have to do that with a boot that's warm enough to start with, and these are). I've worn them for a few days, now, and they're tall enough to feel weird while driving - but they haven't hurt my ankles at all. I still wish they were shorter, because I see no need for the extra height. My biggest beef with these boots is the lacing system. The Bugabootoos had really nice, metal grommets, attached directly TO the upper leather. This was fantastic - I yanked those suckers tight on a daily basis, without a second thought. These Plus IIIs have much thinner laces...not sure I like or trust them, and they feel like they'd not hold as securely against themselves. But the grommets are....not good. They are barrel-shaped, and the laces go through them sideways, leading to the tension pulling them at an angle while tightening. I don't at all feel like I can yank them tight, and I certainly can't do it quickly. I feel like it's putting stress in all the wrong places, and like this will be the first part of the boot to fail. Anyway. Columbia - I hope you've made a good boot this year. I'm not overly optimistic - my first pair of Bugaboots lasted TEN years, and my second pair lasted 7 years. I have been a very happy customer in the past, I just hope that your quality and materials haven't declined, as I'm suspicious they have. Fingers crossed that I get another 10 years out of your boots (though my guess is more like 3, just judging by the feel of these). February 11, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great features I have these on right now, live in Northern Michigan, so far these boots are great, I purchased them because my husband has a pair and LOVES them so much, he insisted I get a pair, and he was right, feel great, light weight, durable! February 10, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Winter Boot These boots are terrific. I did go up a half size based on other reviews. With one pair of hiking socks, I'm good to go.They keep the snow out and are super warm. Whether snowshoeing, using the snowblower or out and about for long periods of time in the cold these are my go to boots. February 9, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Winter Boots I find these Bugaboot Plus 111 Omni - Heat boots to run true to size. They are very stiff when you first get them which made me feel they were to small. After a few times of wearing them they softened up and fit great. I love these boots. I am outside for long periods of time and these boots keep my feet very warm. February 6, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Warm and dry, but a bit uncomfortable These kept my feet warm and dry when it snowed several feet. The top of the boot (around the ankle/calf) is really rigid and after walking a bit left my legs really sore (almost like I had a bruise, without any visual bruise). I'm keeping them in hopes that they break in over time. Other than that, they're really fantastic. February 5, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by winter boots I love my bugaboots. Yes they are stiff around the ankles, as others have mentioned, but it makes me feel supported. They are very warm and comfortable. I also feel safer because of the good tread. Granted we haven't had a horrendous winter like we did last year in the mid-west but the times I have worn them, they have done what they are supposed to do - keep me dry, toasty and upright! Would definitely buy another pair in the future. February 4, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Super warm I only wearing them for the first time today to break them in for an upcoming trip to Norway. So far they are great and will be even better once they're broken in. Super comfortable and super warm. I'd recommend them. February 4, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Rubber Cracks I have the much older version of this boot. However they were not worn incredibly often and the rubber has cracked in multiple places. The pull tag in the back where you pull the boot on is also broken. I have had multiple Columbia coats and this is my second pair of Columbia boots. I have never had any issues. However, I don't think that I would ever purchase another pair of shoes from them. January 24, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by disappointed Rubber rots and cracks January 18, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by disappointed I have had Columbia boots in the past and been very happy. This pair of Bugaboots is NOT keeping my feet warm. The coldest it has been so far is 14 below (centigrade) and on a dog walk of 40 minutes, even with good socks and warming the boots before I leave, my toes are cold at the end. If I don't warm the boots first then my toes are blocks of ice half way. Lets hope we don't get down to the temperature the boots are SUPPOSED to be rated for. Going to try 2 pair of socks next cold snap. Have not yet subjected the boots to rain. Disappointed. January 6, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent boot for cold people I'm a small framed woman and during the fall/winter I literally freeze once the fall temps come. The past few days here in Michigan have been in the negatives and my feet have never been toastyer. I've been able to take the dog out, which I never do once it gets colder. The boots are a bit stiff but they'll break in, lots of room in the foot pad for thicker socks, love the style and tread. This was my first boot purchase in about 10 yrs and the more I move the warmer my feet stay. ...it's great! Totally worth this investment so much so my husband purchased a pair for himself. He loves them. He works outside all day and yesterday he didn't complain that his feet were cold when he got home! Good job Columbia. ....home run on this boot! January 6, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by rubber cracks Do not buy if you want to use if for more than couple of seasons. Daughters Bugabootoo rubber cracked - looks like similar rubber used. Columbia only has one year warranty. January 5, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Boots for my daughter I bought a pair of these boots for my daughter for Christmas and had them sent to her. Because of the wet and cold weather she decided to wear them. Since then she has raved about them, she absolutely loves them. It took about three days to break them in but it wasn't hard to do. She told me that whether wet or mud covered her feet stay dry and warm all day, and she hoses them off to clean them. Thank you Columbia for making such a quality boot. December 24, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by good Perfect for snow /ice (S/I) type weather. Feels like ski boots, a bit stiff. Otherwise great. Not for regular hiking without the S/I conditions. Keeps foot toasty December 20, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Very stiff They are a beautiful pair of boots. The quality is excellent and the fit is true to size. However, the back of the boot is extremely stiff. It feels like you are wearing a pair of ice skates. The materials are expected to be a bit heavy because they are water proof plastic to withstand very cold and wet temperatures but there is no way I can comfortably walk in theese. I exchanged them for a pair of Women’s Minx™ Mid II Omni-Heat™ Boots which I loved and recommend to check out. December 8, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Bugaboots are excellent!!! These boots are even nicer than the picture reflects. They are comfortable and warm. I do recommend for these that u take the half size up to make room for ur thick socks. November 22, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Women's Bugaboot Plus III Omni-Heat In terms of looks, these boots are great. In terms of quality, they are perfect. They have just the right amount of heat and they fit very well. I'm still working them in since I find the back a bit stiff. They feel a bit like ski boots do at the moment, but I'm sure they will work in. November 21, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome boot I just received my boots and they fit like a glove. My foot just slid right into the boot when I tried them on. It is not cold enough yet to wear them but they will be great in the snow and for hiking. Very comfortable on your heal. I owned a pair of Columbia boots years ago and loved them too. The style has changed a little, and although they are a big boot, they are attractive and somewhat feminine. November 6, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Fit They fit exactly as I need them to. Support and comfort are great. No complaints October 26, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Bugaboot Did some research on best boots and found a survey they did in Chicago. It was for waterproof, coldness etc, and this boot got the best reviews! I will wait till winter gets here to give a good try of my own, but I am excited to try them! (I hate cold toes!!) August 28, 2015
