When seriously cold conditions set in, this ultralight, surprisingly flattering mid-length jacket will keep you warm and protected. It battles arctic air with 600-fill-power goose down—which is super warm, soft, and packable, and our patented thermal-reflective technology—which reflects your body heat for warmth while maintaining a high level of breathability. The water-resistant shell fabric has a lovely sheen, and the baffling’s quilted pattern goes from larger on the shoulders and hem to smaller at the waistline for a figure-flattering effect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect coat Love this coat! Light as a feather-surprisingly, yet warm as can be! Smart new technology! Inner drawstring cord at waist nips in for nice shape too! Searched high and low for fingertip length coat, which is perfect for football games. Definite winner! January 30, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very High Quality Coat I am a college student and its hard to stay warm walking across campus but this coat is perfect. The omniheat works wonderfully to stay warm but not sweat. The only drawback is that it does make you look kind of bulky but i don't really mind it at all. I still think its a beautiful, functional coat. January 30, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Coat I work in downtown Cleveland, OH where it is very cold and windy during the winter. This coat keeps me very warm without being big and puffy. The coat is stylish and I receive a lot of compliments. I am 5'2, 110 and the small fits me perfectly. January 22, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great coat This is definitely light weight, but warm. I have not tested in below zero weather, but kept me warm and a child windy night in the teens when I was outdoors for almost 2 hours. While my legs and feet were cold, the rest of me was comfortable. This has been a great coat so far in the week or so that I've had it. January 13, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Awesome Jacket I bought this for my wife. She is always cold and it keeps her warm anywhere we may go, no matter the weather. It's a great, light weight and breathable jacket that has held up very well. The only problem was that the right pocket had a hole in it, when we received it. I sewed it up and it hasn't been a major problem, and I never bothered reporting it. December 22, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Great coat - defective zipper This is a very nice jacket, however, the zipper was too difficult to use. It only zipped once every 5 or 6 tries. This is disappointing, since I consider Columbia to be a high quality reliable product. Also have to pay for shipping to return and unusable jacket. December 9, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good! I got it 2days ago, It seems that will keep me warm in very cold weather. December 8, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by LIGHTWEIGHT I ordered S size as I read all reviews about size runs small. I am XS and S runs large for me. I kept product as I was in a hurry for a winter jacket. I didn´t rate with 5 stars because it isn´t as warm as I expected. I haven´t use it with snow but with windly 57°´s I am cold with it. December 2, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by great warm jacket I live in Chicago and take the train and walk everywhere. The jacket is light yet very warm. The more you walk, the warmer it gets as its surfaces reflects the heat of the body. My only complain is that the hat draw cord elastic snapped after one month of use. I have tried to take to Columbia to have it fixed but they did not accept in-store. November 30, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fits like a glove! I tried this jacket it on at Dick's sporting goods. It was the last jacket of its kind. It was an Xs and I normally wear a size small. I didn't think it would fit but I tried it on away. Omg! It was so light weight and comfortable. It fit perfectly and maybe even a little extra room to bend and move around. I was in a bit of a rush that day so I left it. I could not stop thinking about that jacket so I searched for it on the Columbia website and found it on sale! This is the perfect jacket for anyone who looking for a warm comfortable jacket. It also gives you that hour glass look! August 19, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by does not run small and the color is different First, dont believe the reviews about it running small, because of that I got an xl and it is too big on me. I am 5'4 and 180 lbs! The coat itself is great!! Warm not bulky. I could not wait to get it but now I have to return it. Also the color sea salt looks a little darker on the picture but it is actually really bright white. I wanted a little darker white like the pic. Other than that I love it. January 28, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect Coat For COLD Weather This coat is amazing. I am a college student at Michigan State and I have to walk a lot to get from class to class or to a bus stop or standing and waiting for a bus. For much of this week the temps were below zero and strong winds and I was completely comfortable in this coat! I did layer with a long sleeve shirt and a sweater with a scarf, but I was toasty warm inside my coat. I was worried when looking for coats because I am always cold outside, but this coat does the job! Pros: Super light, but extremely warm Longer length to cover your bottom Nice hood for really cold weather Stops the wind Has nice and comfy cuffs on the sleeves to kind of trap heat in and keep snow out Cute and gives you shape so you don't look like a big block! Con: It has a double zipper so you can zip up from the bottom when your coat is all zipped up. This sometimes makes it difficult to get the zipper started so I have to stand and fumble with it before going outside And I gave it "good" on quality because it seems like the Velcro that goes over the zipper seems a little fragile, but nothing has happened yet! ** I usually wear a large but many reviews said it ran small so I looked at the sizing guide on Columbus's website and took measurements and followed their guidelines. I ended up getting an XL and it fits perfectly! January 15, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Super light, but very warm I searched for months for a good winter coat, longer to cover my rear, but still stylish. There was one of the other Columbia styles that sold out too fast in November so I was forced to keep looking. I settled on this one because of the sale and the good reviews. First, the shipping took a little too long, over a week. Second, upon taking it out of the package I was shocked at how light it was. I really felt disappointed that it was not heavier. That next day it was 12 degrees outside with snow and a wind chill of 0 and I was outside playing with my kids. With a regular fleece underneath I stayed very warm. I could feel the warmth of the Onni-Heat on my back. Initially my arms were a little cold, but after being outside for an hour my freezing legs brought me in, the rest of me was really warm. The wind was blocked well and it was dry when I was done playing. Even with the negative temperatures I am still warm when warming up my car and to and from work through the parking lot. The pockets are great, lined with fleece. The double direction zipper works well. The hood stays on and fits well. There is a pull string for the waist, the length of the arms is good and the cuffs stay snug. the length for me is perfect, but I am only 5'1". 126 pounds, normal body type. Small fits perfect. Looks really nice with jeans or dressy work clothes. Has a thin profile for being a winter coat. So even though it is super light, it is still warm enough for Midwest winters and playing outside. I suspect if I were being even more active like skiing it would be even warmer. I have not had a down coat for many years and I was annoyed to remember that there would be feathers coming out randomly. January 10, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by A Little Lightweight This coat works well enough. The temps are ridiculously cold this week (10 degrees on down to below zero) and I've been sufficiently warm. For something this lightweight, that's impressive. The sizing seems fine. I'm 5'7" and 140 lbs. The small is great. However, the shell seems a little fragile. I've been wearing it for a couple weeks and have nearly snagged and ripped it twice. Feathers keep poking out, which looks crummy on the black. I'm also not a fan of the velcro. It snags my scarves. January 8, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best coat ever! Being cold is the most uncomfortable feeling for me. I've always hated winters. I don't even like air conditioning. This is the best coat I have ever worn. I don't have to stuff myself with uncomfortable layers. A light sweater,a scarf and gloves and I am ready for cold Iowa winters. My first time experiencing -22 degrees and I can honestly say only my eyes were cold. January 7, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by NOT WARM! This coat is not super warm. It runs true to size, and I am very pleased with it. It performs OK in the cold Wisconsin climate, maybe it will perform well somewhere. January 5, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by excellent winter coat I just purchased this coat in the outlet in ny. I was very surprised how warm this coat is. I will definitely recommend to any one who is looking to buy a winter coat. December 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome coat!! This coat is super warm. It runs true to size, and I am very pleased with it. The coat is silky soft on the exterior and interior. I definitely recommend this coat! If it performs well in the cold Michigan climate, it will perform well anywhere! December 19, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by So warm, so comfortable, so fabulously lightweight I have been looking and looking for a coat that would keep me warm but not be so constricting as the old, heavy ski jacket I've been using for the coldest winter days. I was dubious of how light and "airy" this coat feels, but WOW -- it is fantastic! I put this jacket on for the first time this morning as I got into my frigid car (no garage; low overnight was in the high 20s). Before I made it to the end of my driveway, I was already warm, and my entire commute was toasty. I have it in the white color, and it's beautiful. I'm 5'5" tall and 110 pounds, and the XS is perfect. December 8, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Cozy I really like this coat. It's very light weight but warm. I do think it runs small. I ordered a large and I am 5'7" and about 134lbs. This coat does not have a lot of extra room. The sleeves are nice and long, which I like. I do wish the coat was a little longer. When you sit in the car it barely covers your bum. I wear this coat on days that are above freezing. December 1, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Short coat The coat fit perfect--very true to size! But I though the coat was going to be longer and it wasn't. Also I'm not sure how warm the coat actually is. It felt too light to keep me warm in this cold Illinois weather! November 26, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not warm! This coat is amazing for temps in the 40s and 50s, and its adorable and has all the bells and whistles that make it customizable and ultra comfy....BUT I was seriously dissapointed when I opened the package. I have sweatshirts that are heavier than this so-called coat! which is fantastic if you really need something ultra lightweight that you can wear a million layers underneath....however i'm right on the great lakes, and i need something thats gonna keep me warm in below zero temps. this isn't it. being returned. Rated 5 out of 5 by Hexbreaker indeed Way to go Columbia! First let me say, I've been reluctant to try the Thermal Reflective technology. But I'm glad I finally did. The thermal technology lining is shiny - but it works! Very well made. This coat is great in so many ways. For reference I am 5'4", 120 lbs, 32D, 35-28-36, slender, and narrow hips. I find the fit of this coat is superb. This coat has a very streamlined elegant structure. I got the XS and I have room to layer without taking away the nice shape of the coat. The coat is lightweight, soft, and super warm. The hood fit is spot on. Chin and neck coverage just right. Side pocket placement perfect. Length of coat covers one's bottom but still allows movement (plus you've got a handy two-way zipper to increase ease of movement). Speaking of this coat's two-way zipper - it's tricky at first - it took a few tries to get it but once I did - no problem. I found that if you hold both of the bottom front corners of the coat straight and taut you will easily get the zip to catch. This coat has a very nice classic look, it's practical, and warm! If you've been looking and looking for that perfect mid-thigh (ish) everyday winter coat - this just might be the one! I love it! November 20, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Flattering warm coat I just purchased this coat in the white color. I'm 5 foot 8 inches , 135lbs, with broad shoulders and the medium fits great. It has all the features I was looking for in a new winter coat: slim fit, the right length ( covers the bum comfortably), elastic cuffs, removable hood, adjustable cord at the waist and bottom. Looks very well made and not cheap like some of the new shorter down jackets. Can't wait for cooler weather to wear this coat ( well, not really, but I am anxious to wear it out and about as it's so nice looking!) September 5, 2014
