Reviews

Women’s Hotdots™ II Full Zip Jacket is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 40.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from versatile jacket Love this jacket. I love the omni heat. It's a warm jacket. I wear it by itself or underneath another jacket when it's very cold. Size runs a little large which I like as it gives it a little more room. I can wear an extra sweater or fleece under the jacket as well. I also like the higher collar. Great Jacket.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wasn't happy with me and my girls jackets Jackets fit to size for the men. The girls jackets ran really small

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a Great Jacket! I love this jacket. It is short and comfortable.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointed Three years ago, I bought this jacket, and it was one of the best jackets I have ever owned. I bought it as an under jacket, for when I went snowboarding in the Rockies. When using it I got so warm, that I ended up ditching the outer jacket, and just wearing this one. That was about two hours into snowboarding, and I continued to wear just this jacket for the rest of the day, and was perfectly warm. I recently lost it, so naturally I looked and found the same jacket here, online. I have to say though, receiving the jacket, I was disappointed. The omniheat fabric used to cover the entire jacket, and the jacket itself was a little bit thicker. I'm not sure it has the same capabilities it once did. I used this jacket as a replacement for those crazy, puffy winter jackets, and was fine. I sadly don't think I can do that anymore.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from pretty jacket Like the jacket. Would like it better without the furry part.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very thin I am disappointed in this jacket. I thought it was an outdoor jacket designed to keep you warm. It's very thin and I don't like the material the panels are made from. cheap junk, there is some flimsy liner in it which is supposed to insulate. Overall weight is less than the regular fleece June Lake jackets which are also getting thinner each year.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Larger than size I bought small size. Sleeves very long and loose, returning it to get extra small size. But XS size does not have the blue color

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good looking jacket I like this jacket but I thought it would be warmer than it is.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from White colored jacket looks "rumpled" Bought this in the store primarily to take traveling for "backup warmth" because it is thin, compressible, and seemed to offer warmth without taking up a lot of valuable suitcase "real estate". Beware though, the bad stitching and odd outer fabric makes the jacket look "rumpled" and very cheap. Am hoping the omni-heat panels inside will make it worth it, trading off looks for comfort. The salesman said he had one he wore running and frequently had to take it off as it got too warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Quality Overall satisfied with the product, good quality. The only thing is that it runs a little big, other then that i love it!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sending back I ordered this jacket after searching for fleece jackets and it's definitely not fleece. It's more of a soft, velour type fabric and VERY thin. I'm sure it'd be great for outdoor runners, but will not work for what I wanted. I also ordered a small after reading the reviews and it's very big on me. I'm 5'5" and about 120lbs. Cold air and wind would blow right up the jacket. Disappointed after waiting 7 days for it to arrive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and Comfy I bought one last year and liked it so much that I just bought another. The reflective lining keeps my body warm without heavy weight. The fabric is super-soft. I'm 5'3" and about 112 lbs., and the XS fits perfect with another shirt underneath. I would need to go up a size if I wanted to wear a bulky sweater under it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It was okay Its probably a nice light weight jacket but i didn't really like it. I expected to be a little bit more fluffy from the pictures. the material just felt weird and I didn't like the jacket so I returned it and got a different one!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits Well The Hotdots II jacket is very soft and warm. And, best of all, it fits well. It isn't "form fitting" like so many styles today. It fits comfortably without being baggy.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Recommend but not for winter wear as advertised This coat is definitely not a coat to wear in the dead center of a New England winter. The wind cuts right through it. It's great for early spring or airmen wear but not warm enough for winter wear as is.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Looking Fits well, very feminine lines and flattering fit, not too long or too short. The purple is a super color. Lightweight and warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My daughter loves it She calls it her space ship suit. It is soft on the outside and keeps her warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good buy Pretty good product. It's not as thick as a fleece jacket but fairly warm. I really like the color, it just looks like in the picture!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Arms run much shorter than other jackets purchased I ordered two jackets and two fleeces. The other three fit great, but this one was very short in the arms. I ordered the light blue color. It also is made out of two types of material which is hard to see in the picture because they're the same color, but the underside of the sleeves, underarm and side panels are made out of stretchy material not soft fleece. The inside placket isn't lined so when the jacket isn't zipped it looks cheap- you see the inside of the pockets where they are tacked over the reflective type lining. That is shown in the picture but it looked worse in person. Besides the sleeve length being wrong, I just didn't feel like the quality of the garment was worth the cost. I am returning this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeping warm on the trail I shoot traditional archery. I attend a lot of 3-D shoots during the winter months in Washington state. This jacket kept me warm the entire time. It's exactly what I've been looking for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great jacket I already own the Omni Heat base layer. So was excited to see this jacket. Runs true to size. Material is very soft to touch. i put on light shirt and this jacket. worked great. had to get black in my size. Would love to have the blue. Highly recommend.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not heavy at all I thought this was going to be a good winter jacket but it is a little heaver than a wind breaker :( Not what I expected at all
Date published: 2015-02-20
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Omni thermo heat The omni thermo heat doesn't really work to keep you warm but I do like the extra two pockets inside the jacket and the external pocket have zippers so you can close them
Date published: 2015-02-20
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Lightweight I thought this jacket would be much heavier. its EXTREMELY Thin and should only be used with temps above 50. I now have to go buy another heavier jacket somewhere else. Disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket My mom went on a bus trip this week. The bus didn't have any heat and she said it kept her warm while they waited for the new bus. Thank you for keeping her warm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket Super lightweight yet incredibly warm and comfortable. Love the color!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing jacket I wasn't sure about the plush finish of this jacket, but the price made it worth the gamble, and I love it! I bought the pink one and it's very bright, but I've gotten so many compliments on it. It's thinner than I thought it would be, but the hotdots make it very warm. It's the perfect later for warmth without bulk. I love the side stretch panels, too. Great for high activity or for everyday comfort.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Warm but small I was very excited to get this jacket. I was bummed when I tried it on. I'm very tall and have long arms. I thought the xtra large would be suitable. Nope it was short on my arms and waist. It was too big for my body but too small length wise. I gave it to my girlfriend and she loves it. She is pretty short so it fit her nicely. Guess I'll keep looking.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Product Which is more comfortable?- How do the prices Compare?- Which one lasts longer?- Which is more durable in cold weather?- Are the sizes accurate?- Which is more popular?- How do the fabrics compare?- Do the star ratings show an accurate portrayal of the product? The Columbia jacket is very comfortable, although sort of thin. It has lasted me about 2 years, and seems to be okay. It is not my favorite, as I also have a Northface. It is a little big for size, as I got a Small and normally wear a medium. The fabric keeps me warm, although gets a little matted when I wash it. I think it is accurately portrayed, when you look at the ratings. I rate it a 4.5.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I am totally satisfied with this jacket. It keeps me warm even in extremely cold frigid temperatures.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice jacket, but runs a bit small Very soft, but since it is snug and i may need to return it, I haven't worn it outside. Don't know if it is warm yet. If you usually wear one size, but occasionally have to go to the next size, i would suggest you go with the bigger size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Perfect I ordered this fleece in the groovy pink color. The pink is gorgeous and bright. Its a very soft texture that isn't too fuffy its light and easy to move around in. It fits as if it was made for me. Great price great product couldn't ask for anything better.
Date published: 2015-02-10
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not much warmer than my other zip-ups I like the feel of the material. The style is flattering. However, the hotdots (Omni-heat) didn't deliver any more warmth than the other zip-ups that I wear. The price and style is the reason I would recommend it. Not because it keeps you warmer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing warmth I bought this jacket as a gift for my wife. She absolutely loves the fit, warmth & comfort! Over 25 years of hearing how cold she is at work, I now hear nothing but her singing the praises of how this jacket is the best she has had EVER!!! Thanks Columbia, you made me look like I knew what I was doing!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Functional Fleece Bought this to replace an aging fleece. Fits true to size. Have only used it in 30-40 degree weather. It does a decent job of keeping the wind out. It's not as warm as I thought it would be though. Can't see this being a "go to" fleece for NY winters...
