Women’s Kruser Ridge™ Softshell Jacket is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 56.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I have fairly large shoulders and long arms, so i always run into problems with the length of sleeves being short or the shoulders being too small in women's sizes. Therefore, I usually buy in the men's section for jackets, but men's jackets unfortunately don't follow the curve of my body. This jacket fits perfect. The sleeves are long and the shoulders have just enough wiggle room. I don't run into the same issues i usually do. I love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this Jacket I bought this jacket a couple of months ago for a trip to the Northwest US and Canada. It was perfect. It kept me dry and warm. It isn't for cold weather but for 50 - 60 degrees, it was great! It was very easy to move around in this jacket, I didn't feel confined at all. I have no complaints about this jacket at all! Highly Recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great coat! Received my coat within 5 business day, very nice warm coat. Sleeves are a tad longer than normal for a medium but is nice to have...I prefer longer than too short. Will definitely shop with Columbia online again. Love their product, have for years!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Spring Jacket Awesome jacket! Have worn in rain and wind and does an excellent job of keeping you warm and dry! Love the shape it gives when wearing and the fact that it doesn't feel like a cheap jacket!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kruser Ridge softshell jacket ABSOLUTELY LOVE. Very warm and water repellent. I also get a LOT of compliments on the color.
Date published: 2016-03-30
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Arms are long Except for the fact that the sleeves are about two inches too long, it is a nice coat.
Date published: 2016-03-14
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Runs Large... This is a really nice jacket, just wish it wasn't so large. I ordered a small, which is what I wear with typical Columbia jackets, but it's bigger than I expected.
Date published: 2016-03-06
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Windproof Jacket What a beautiful functional jacket! Not hot like fleece. It is very lightweight but sure does the job of keeping the wind and cold out. Excellent jacket! Thank you, Columbia!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Transitional weather solution This will be a great addition to my outdoor gear - lightweight but warm enough for 30-50 degree days which is what I was looking for. I use it for commuting to work, errands, shopping, general outdoor time and its the right weight between my heavy winter jacket and my windbreaker. I have coupled it with a vest to go into colder days. it is similar to other softshell jackets, a little lighter but for the price, it fits the bill.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great but runs large Great jacket, but runs big. I have two Columbia jackets and two pullovers, all size medium, so that's what I ordered. Its too big and the sleeves are even a little long, which normally doesn't happen. I'm 5'8" and 150lb for reference. Otherwise, it holds up in our crazy Indiana weather!
Date published: 2016-03-02
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket! This is a great jacket! Perfect weight, not too heavy, not too light. The only issue was that the sleeves are too long. Otherwise it would have been perfect!
Date published: 2016-02-25
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Got this jacket cause I loved the color This product was amazing just runs big, I figured I would get one size up so I could wear More under the jacket. So I recommend if your getting this jacket and usually get smalls then don't go up a size.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from soft shell jacket I was looking for a light but weatherproof jacket for walking my dog. This seems to handle some wind and drizzle, I just wish it had a pocket on the inside and a some reflective trim. The sleeves are a tad bit long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from my review for an awesome jacket I absolutely love this jacket and so happy i got it worth every dime spent.
Date published: 2016-02-24
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Softshell jacket Initially ordered a medium, as my other Columbia jacket is that size - but this one was HUGE. Returned in for a small, which fit much better. Sleeves are very long. This jacket will be good for high 40's to 60's.
Date published: 2016-02-23
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome jacket! This is a great jacket. I have worn this as my light and heavy jacket as it is very comfortable and lightweight. It is true to size but the sleeves are a little long, which I like but you may not. The material is of good quality and water/weather resistant. I have not laundered this yet but it spot cleans easily. This is the second Kruser Ridge jacket I've purchased from Columbia and will definitely be ordering from them again in the future!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice spring/fall Jacket Definitely not a jacket for winter weather. I purchased this after reading a review that claimed it was a good jacket to go out and play in the snow with the kids. I had to go back to my down jacket. Will be great for spring/fall. My only complaint is the sleeves are extremely long! I normally have a hard time finding sleeves long enough for me, but these are way too long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great rain/snow jacket! This is a great rain and snow jacket. It keeps you dry and warm! Love the color.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Jacket The sleeves are a little long, but all my jackets tend to run long on the sleeves... Overall great jacket for the Fall...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful jacket. I have several in black that are a year or more older than this one. But this jacket seemed at least a full size larger than all the others.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect, solid shell made of lightweight material. I ordered this mineshaft (nice, dark grey) shell after eyeing my husband's Vortex Columbia jacket (still in excellent shape, by the way, 11 years later). The Kruse shell is lightweight you almost can't believe it is windproof unless you take it outdoors. I wore it several times in San Diego winter (40-60 degrees...that's as much cold as I can sanely tolerate), and it is just perfect. I've purchased several cheapy military/jean jackets over the years and this shell just perfectly layers underneath to keep me snug and wind-free without the bulk of a puffer/snow jacket. It is definitely a bit large, but it's described as "classic" fit so I expected as much. I'm 5'9," female, physically active chasing after my 3 little ones, 140lbs, extra long arms (comparable wingspan of a 6'2" male, tested and true), and the shell fits comfortably all over with even a good inch of material to give on my arms. I expected this to not be fitted tight like a compression jacket, so if you go in with that expectation, you'll be thoroughly happy with the purchase, for hopefully as long as my husband's 11-year old jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Softshell This jacket is warm and wind proof enough for southern winters. I bought an XS and its plenty big enough for a bulky sweater under it. Good length as well. I'm 5'5" and 125 lbs. I would definitely recommend going for the smaller size if you're in between.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Light weigh jacket The jacket is comfy and light weigh but not too warm for cold days. I wear this every day whit a sweater under it. I feel well on it!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Love, love, love it! It is super comfortable, the color is awesome and the quality is amazing. I just wish it was a little warmer, but I can always add a few more layers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from functional and pretty I am 5'8.5" tall weigh 140lbs I have long arms and torso and the medium jacket fits great. There is room for light sweatshirt underneath but still looks shapely with just tshirt. The pink color is bright buy very pretty. lightweight fall jacket- Great to wear in the 60 degree temps. With a long sleeve shirt under, you could wear this in the 50's. I buy Columbia for the length in arms and great quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Purchasing another after 5 years From GA and moved to the DC area 5 years ago. I had no idea what to expect in the means of cold weather and wgat type of cost I needed. But I did know I was going to need a coat that was warm, not bulky, washable, and didn't look like I was wearing a moo moo. I have curves, particularly up top - I'm talking 38 and triple letters. Waist was a size 10 and proportional hips. 5'5" tall and 155#. Had a 5 year old that I knew I would want to play in the snow with. I knew I needed something that wasn't bulky. I can't stand to be restricted in a coat so that I can't move - whether due to size or bulk. And I rarely wear heavy sweaters as I just get too darn hot in them. Came across this coat at a Ross or other such store and tried it on in a size Large. I wasn't crazy about the white, but the tags said it was good in sub freezing temps, it wasn't bulky, it was easy to get on and off (good zipper), and had seams and tucks where I needed them to fit my shape. It hit at the upper hips and I didn't mind that the sleeves were a tad long as they look good with a 1/2 roll. So I bought it. And it has been perfect! The inside isn't that "OMG it's SO soft fleece", but it's nice. It does not shed on your clothes. The outside is smooth and sort of silky, but not the stretchy kind of material. It makes a tiny bit of noise when rubbed together, but not enough that you have to stop to hear over it. Another great thing about it - it's fairly waterproof. I haven't tried wearing it in a downpour, but you stay dry in a light rain and sledding in the day-time snow we get in DC. I use it to walk the kiddo to the bus stop, go to the grocery store (just unzip when inside - no need to take it off), go shopping at the mall (may take it off here since more walking required and you get warmer), ride bikes, play in the snow (everywhere from 4" to 14"), shovel snow, go for walks, etc. - all those things a busy mom does. I've been snow skiing in it at a warmish MD resort once. It zips all the way up to cover the neck, and you can tuck your nose in if it gets too cold. Not mentioned in description, but mine also has a pocket on the inside with 1 spot of velcroe to secure shut. I love that the outside pockets zip, and they're in the perfect natural spot to put your hands in. There's also a tab that you can attach your keys to do they don't fall out. I've washed this coat no less than 100 times over the past 5 years. (The white gets dingy quick. I use Tide liquid stain remover on the edge of the sleeves and on the seams that tend to get dirty quick). I try to allow it to air dry, but it has seen a fair share of the dryer. There's no stitching missing, or thin material, it's still a solid coat. So here we are 5 years later. My body has suffered from too much food, not enough exercise. I'm a full size larger than I was the last 4 years. I need a bigger size. [sigh.] I'm ELATED to see I can still get this coat! Im still looking for the exact same thing but longer to cover by bum, and preferably with a belt. But I'm jumping on this until I find that. (Do wish it wasn't sold out in blue XL.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great mid-weight jacket! It does run large and the sleeves are long for me ...I had to send the large back because of this. I love this jacket though and the colors are fabulous. I bought three colors. I will be in Northern Europe in the fall and this will be a perfect jacket for the time of year.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Jacket Looking for a shell, water repellant, everyday jacket that wasn't to bulky. This fit the bill. Good for a busy moms like me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this jacket! This jacket is comfortable and looks good. It runs a little large, but I prefer it to be less tight fitting in case I have layers underneath. I did have the sleeves shortened, but otherwise, it is the best. I'm taking it to Peru this summer. Love the color!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from GREAT jacket BUT runs BIG I am 5'2 and 118lbs. I am a thin individual. Usually a small fits me well and gives me room to wear other jackets underneath. But this particular SMALL is extremely HUGE. It is not flattering at all. If you are not curvy, do not get this jacket.
Date published: 2015-06-21
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent all weather outfit Size is good, but it runs a little too long (both arm and torso). I commute on bike. Very much appreciate the material that shields wind early in the morning. I also like the zip on the pockets, and the high collar. I haven't worn it in pouring rain, but light rain, this jacket works well. I still pack a light rain coat when I go hiking in the mountains in our unpredictable northwest weather.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect present. I bought this jacket as a present for one of my daughters and she absolutely loves it, when she can wear it. I bought her older sister a jacket from a competitor, but every time I look up, the older sister is wearing the younger sister's Columbia jacket. Guess I'll be purchasing a second one to keep the peace.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stylish & Lightweight Jacket Bought the Deep Blush size S jacket, I wanted a M but they were out of stock. So glad they were out of stock! The size S fits perfectly! (Although the arms are like 1/2 inch too long but I'm okay with that. That's what happens when I'm a small person). Amazing quality of product. I think I may buy one for each of my parents for Christmas. It's so lightweight but cuts the wind fantastically (when roller blading) & doesn't attract my cat's hair to stick to me!
