Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent coat! It's really warm and comfort. Very nice coat. November 26, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love love love this coat! I work outside and this coat is the perfect solution I was looking for to stay warm. I love all the little extra features that add to its functionality, too. Now I just need pants of the same type and I'll never be cold again! I ordered the large even though I wear size medium to small top and it fits perfectly, allowing for easy movement through arms and shoulders. I am completely satisfied with this purchase, delivery was very fast, and I would highly recommend this coat to anyone! November 23, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Zipper Beware This is a beautiful jacket. I personally purchased at the NYC store in White. After only one month the zipper began separating. Unfortunately Columbia no longer had any more white ones in my size so I had to settle for paying for an additional coat in black if I wanted the same jacket which IS the warmest jacket I've ever owned and got a UPS return label to return the white one which I did not want to part with. Once I got the black jacket on less than 2 weeks the same exact thing happened with the zipper. I'm not a busty woman buying small sized coats. I'm very petite and was swimming in the size small. Because I liked the coats so much I decided to bring them to my tailor and spend $70 additional to have sturdy new zippers installed. Columbia needs to wake up and have better quality accessories for their ridiculously overpriced coats or The Northface is going to have a new family of customers. November 22, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Winter Coat I love this coat! It is comfortable, warm and looks great. It is one of the few things that makes me look forward to it getting cold out. November 9, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love my jacket I love my jacket!! The color is beautiful, a nice fushia. I gasped when I saw it. Fits well, very warm love the functionality, well designed.Love the thumb holes, the hood adjust. The OMNI-HEAT LINING is amazing. I got a large. Just a little snug when i zip, I have a little gut but it zips and fits well. I'm 5'2 & 170 but carry my weight well. Perfect length. Can't wait to the weather gets cold so I can show off my jacket!! I hate cold weather lol. I am a lifetime fan of Columbia! October 22, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Perfect Ski Jacket Purchased for a ski trip to Aspen over Spring Break. My wife is very small but reading other reviews decided to go with a Medium. It fit her really well, the small would have been too small I am sure. The jacket is warm, yet breathes very well for the warm days on the slopes. She loved the pink color. March 16, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Warm and comfortable I was looking for something that I could hike, ski and survive the cold New England winters. This coat is very warm and still stylish. It's not bulky but keeps so much warmth in that I've had to unzip it hiking in -10 degree weather. Worthwhile purchase. March 4, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Go to winter coat The coat has everything I need in a coat! fashionable style, inner pockets, omni heat, soft lining in pockets, and a hood. The fit is perfect with a modern look. The material is flexible and lets me move. My one and only coat! February 28, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Lay D Down Jacket The jacket is very warm, which is exactly what I was looking for this winter. We are having record low temps and the heater is not working well in my car, and the jacket is keeping me warm! The fake fur sheds a bit around the hood and I am not thrilled with the color of the sleeves - grey with the white jacket. But all in all I am very happy with my purchase. February 27, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love! I researched 2 other brands. I picked this for the Omni heat and the style. I got Groovy Pink and love the color. I can wear this to work, walk the dog in the freezing temps, cross country ski and be warm, stylish and comfortable. I was also impressed with all the features. Worth every penny. The price was reaasonable as well. February 24, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love, Love, Love I absolutely love this coat! It runs small, but true to the size shirt you would wear. If you are wearing bulky clothes under it, sweaters, sweatshirts or multiple layers - choose a size larger. I'm between a Medium and Large and purchased this coat in an extra large. It's a little big with my everyday attire, but over sweatshirts and layers, it's perfect! February 23, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love It I love this jacket. With the very cold temps in Michigan recently I really got a chance to put it to the test. I stayed toasty warm and couldn't be happier! February 22, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very warm, slightly small I really like the look of this coat. It is very warm. I wore it outside today and it was -2F and windy and it was great at blocking the wind and I was comfortable. The hand inserts were great at keeping drafts out. I have long hair and the hood is a little small and the neck when fully zipped is tight. I would prefer it not to have Velcro on it because it sometimes snags my clothes, but the positioning of the Velcro minimizes it. February 19, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by SO WARM! I received this coat in the mail last week, since then it has been negative degrees in the northeast. It is amazingly warm! I took my dog for a walk when it was 40+ mph winds and negative 13 degrees and my upper body wasn't cold! I love the zip off hood and the fleece lined pockets are so warm! I just ordered the omni heat gloves, I hope they are as good as the jacket! February 16, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Jacket for Skiing! I loved this jacket for skiing! However, do order a size larger than what you normally wear, as this jacket runs small. I wear a medium and had to order a size Large. It fit great! Love all the zippered pockets to keep items safe! February 11, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by LOVE IT!! I've been looking for a nice warm jacket without too much bulk. It is awesome!! I read other reviews who said it was a little big, and since they didn't have a small in stock, I chose an XS. It fits nicely, but I would've rather have had the S. While this jacket has tons of features (extra pockets, headphone pocket, zip off hood, etc) I was slightly disappointed that it wasn't a double jacket with a light weight part that zips out. But I would still for sure recommend this jacket to others!! February 9, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very satisfied with this purchase I used this jacket a couple of days ago for skiing and I stayed warm the whole time. I am very cold natured but I stayed toasty warm! I love the bright color too! I ordered a Large due to other reviews and I usually wear a Medium. I think it fits well, I have a little bit of room to layer if needed. February 6, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wonderful winter coat I'm 5"4, 20 year old, 130 pound Kansas girl. I got a small black metallic. It's a little big. There's lots of room to layer but since it's so warm I probably won't. I HATE the cold and this coat warms me up in seconds. The Omni heat kept me nice and toasty on a 20 degree weather walk. I see no flaws in the coat. My boyfriend thinks I look adorable in it. It's very flattering. February 1, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wife loves her coat. I brought this for my wife as a surprise. She loves the color and the look and feel. She gets complements all the time and no one has this coat. Her co workers love her coat and the color. February 1, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Too small This jacket is really warm, but you should defintiely go up a size because the zipper will unzip if your clothing underneath is too bulky for it. However, the jacket is really warm and cute even if Texas weather won't allow me to wear it as often as I'd like! January 28, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Zipper failure This is the third Columbia coat I have ever owned. I love it. But the zipper splits. something is wrong with the little metal part and when you zip it up it comes right undone. January 27, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by WAIT to buy price drops quick Paid $230 for jacket and 2 weeks later it was $170. Jacket is nice but price adjustment policy is not. January 23, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Ski jacket This jacket is amazing! So warm but not to bulky. I normally buy a medium but the reviews mentioned that the jacket ran small so I purchased a large. I am so glad I purchased a large because the arm length is perfect. January 14, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Functional yet stylish Got this jacket for my everyday wear. Wow! Very, very warm and a nice selection of colors to choose from. The Hyper Purple is such a rich vibrant color that it makes me happy. Beats the black that I've been wearing for so long. The jacket is not too puffy and has a feminine shape. Far from being utilitarian, this jacket keeps you warm and is downright pretty. January 4, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent coat! I bought this for my girlfriend and she loves it! She loves the look of the coat and the warmth it provides. The sizing is a little smaller but she is petite so it fits her very well. I think she looks sexy in it! December 30, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by sizing I ordered a large just to be safe but upon arrival, beautiful jacket, but very very small, I usually wear a medium in coats but could not begin to get into this one. December 25, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Loved It! I wanted a high quality coat, and I definitely got it with this jacket! It fits great and keeps me warm! I wanted to test it out so I took my dog on a walk a day or so after I got it, when it was somewhere below 30 degrees with the wind blowing, and although my legs were freezing (poor choice of pants), the rest of my body was kept warm! The only negative with this jacket is the thumb holes can get a little snug, but otherwise it fits wonderfully! December 23, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Lovely coat Very nice coat, well made, made for warmth! December 23, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by perfect I live near chicago so winters can get brutal. This jacket is sure to get me through the next polar vortex. I wasn't a fan of the fur accent on the hood so I was thrilled to find the zipper to remove it. I would highly recommend buying this jacket to anyone. December 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect for Everday in the Winter I have been searching for a winter coat for a long time and it is hard to find something that is stylish, comfortable, and warm enough. This coat is all three of those things. I ordered the black metallic color and it is more of a flat black which is perfect because it gives it a classy look and the fur on the hood is attached by a zipper so you can take it off and on. Love this coat. December 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by This coat has ultimate warmth Prior to buying I read all the reviews to base the size I would order. I would generally wear a medium, but more comfortably a large in such a fitted design. The sleeve length is great, so is the length. The thumb holes are practical and are not an issue if you don't want to use them. The hood is so impressive too, it stays on even in the highest wind. I am 5 foot 5 and about 165 pounds and I am still able to wear a hoodie comfortably under this. Since it has a feminine fit the zip does tighten at the natural waistline but I don't have an issue with it because it actually lessens the bulky look of the coat. The putter material is soft as silk. I love this coat. I actually get warm when I'm out in the cold weather. Chicago, IL December 5, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not for anyone with a full bust. I bought a medium. I typically wear a size 8 on top and 10 on the bottom, bust 37.5", hips 39". The medium did not offer enough room across the chest to wear with a sweater underneath and was a little snug around the hips. I don't think bib pants would have fit comfortably under the coat. The raglan shoulders offered good room for arm movement. Had I bumped up to a size large, the arms would have been way too long. Also, the jacket does not have exterior chest pockets and the zipper is only a one way zip. Purple was a great color, though. I looked to buy a different Columbia jacket, because I generally like Columbia products, but interestingly many of them were also described as "runs small." Thus, I am returning, not exchanging, this coat. December 5, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Almost perfect! I absolutely love that this works to keep me warm. I get cold easily and with this coat I was able to go 4 wheeling with my boys in 20 degree weather. It does run extremely small though, I wear a large in children's and ended up having to purchase a large for this coat. The sleeves that you put over your hands, I wish they zipped out to wash easier. I love them but they get dirtier than the coat quickly and being able to zip them out and throw them in the washer would be great. Other than those two things this is the perfect coat - very well made, comfortable and definitely keeps you warm. December 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best all-around winter coat EVER! I am 5'2" and a 34DD bust. In most Columbia and Mountain Hardwear garments that have stretch I am a Medium. This jacket does not have any stretch, so I went with the Large and it fits PERFECTLY. I was a little concerned about the sleeves because I am so short but, for some reason, the sleeves are PERFECT. Omni Heat is phenomenal and the "puff" from the down is not bulky at all. I love the hood. Now, let's talk about performance: 3 days at 5,000 - 9,000 feet elevation, 1.5 feet of snowfall during that time, temps from low 20's to mid 30's F. I was WARM THE ENTIRE TIME. I had my doubts when I first put it on because it is so not bulky, but they were quickly wiped away as the days progressed. All snow hit the jacket and slid off, or else melted and flew off. COMPLETELY SNOW-PROOF the entire time. After about 5 minutes into a mid-level hike, I was SWELTERING. I had to open up the pit zips and the front zipper to let in air - while the outside temp was around 33 degrees. This is with only a sports bra, long-sleeve t-shirt, and a Silver Ridge blouse underneath. I thought I had worn too few layers--turns out I had worn too many. Once done, it packs away into a backpack very easily. This might be the best coat I've ever worn. Ladies, this is the one across a WIDE RANGE of activities. PS: it also looks really cute at the restaurant afterwards! December 1, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good jacket This is a great jacket. I only have two minor complaints: when the zipper is up all the way, it's a little tight in the neck and the detachable hood doesn't connect all the way on the sides (there is a couple of inches on each side where the hood is not attached to the jacket). Otherwise, it's very cute and warm. November 28, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Southern Girl Up North Coming from the South I was definitely not ready for the freezing cold temperatures of northern weather. This jacket, however, does wonders at keeping me warm. The tag says, "the jacket that makes you want to go outside," and that is totally true. I personally hate being cold, but when I'm wearing this jacket I can't feel any of it. Add some layers underneath (I usually wear a windbreaker beneath as well), and you should be fine all winter long. I wear a small but buying a medium was a great decision because the jacket does fit small. November 25, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by so warm and comfy I'm 5'7" and 138lbs and ordered a large in the black metallic. I'm glad I got this size, it fits great! It is very warm and I love the thumb hole sleeves, they're long enough to cover your hands when driving and holding a cold steering wheel. I wore it for about 10 min outside and was sweating. I'm a very cold person and needed a very warm coat. I recommend this product to everyone. November 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Minnesota Approved - Warmest coat I've ever owned! This coat has been absolutely amazing! I couldn't have survived the winter last year (several days below 0 and high winds). This coat does fit snugly, but I really didn't need to wear bulky sweatshirts underneath. It does a great job of cutting the wind. The coat itself has so many great features. There are zippers under the arms to allow for cooling, which I have used on warmer days when I've worked up a sweat (snowshoeing, etc). The fur trim on the hood folds down to provide extra warmth to ears and face. And the built is powder sleeves are great - no snow up your sleeves! :) There are pockets inside, even a media hole for your cell phone/ear buds. And even though this is a puffy down coat, it really isn't overly bulky like some are! Honestly, my only complaint was I bought the white (only color available on the clearance rack) and it shows dirt. If I can find a black or gray one on sale, I'd definitely buy it! I purchased a Size Small. I'm 5'0", 120# and an athletic/muscular build (size 4 dress size if that helps) November 21, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very Warm! This coat is amazing! I'm usually very cold but not with this coat. It seems to adjust to the weather to keep me toasty warm. I also love the hood! November 20, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Decent Winter Jacket This is one of the warmest jackets I have ever owned. Functionally, I highly recommend it. That being said though, it doesn't quite look like the online photos. It's not as feminine as it appears and is a lot bulkier. (It's pretty puffy) The color is also way off too. I ordered the harbor blue and expected it to be much darker. It's actually very light. I'd say it's almost like a pastel blue or a light Carolina blue. The jacket pattern also is a bit different than it appears online. I'm 5'3'', 110lbs and I ordered a medium. It's fit perfectly and there's plenty room even when I have on a fleece or sweatshirt underneath. I'm a little disappointed that there don't appear to be matching (colored) accessories for purchase but I'll find something go with it. Overall, I'm pleased with the product and chose to keep it instead of the North Face I'd originally purchased. November 19, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Warmest coat I've owned I am 5'4" and 125lbs and the medium works well on me. When I got the coat two years ago, I was probably 135lbs, and I tried the small and decided it was too snug in the shoulders. The extra space allows me to have layers underneath, but honestly I rarely need anything else! This coat is so warm that when I had a 20 minute walk to class I had to unzip it when wearing only a t-shirt underneath to cool down. Now I frequently spend 6 hours outside at a time in the winter and it keeps me toasty the whole time. After two winters of use there still isn't a thread out of place! I look forward to breaking it out of the closet every winter. November 15, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect Winter Jacket! I am so pleased with this jacket. It fits perfectly. Winters get cold here in WI, and this jacket is so warm, but without the bulk. And oddly, I don't find myself sweating in it when I get inside either. I love the thumb holes, they really help keep my hands and arms warm. I Highly recommend this jacket. November 14, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Warmest Coat I've Ever Had I got this coat and it's honestly the warmest thing I've ever owned. We got out first snow today and I didn't feel a single thing other than warmth. I am 5'6, 135 lbs and wear 34DD and although the medium fits well, I should have gotten the small. Love this coat! November 13, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Northern Minnesota approved I live in Duluth, MN (northern MN, last major stop before Canada...and the 8th coldest city in the US). In addition, I have Raynaud's, a condition where my fingers and toes lose circulation in weather below 50 degrees. This whole line of Omni Heat products has saved me living in such cold climate. I bought this jacket to replace my other Omni Heat jacket I bought a couple years ago. It got here just in time for Duluth's first winter storm. It's tremendously warm... the hood keeps out most of the wind, and the jacket is very comfortable. If you wear this inside for even a minute, you probably will get very hot. The jacket runs small: I'm 5'7", 122 lbs, and usually wear an XS shirt/S jacket. I got a Medium and it fits just right. It's just a tiny bit big for me, but you want that in a winter coat for extra layers. The hood is particularly nice on days when you other ladies don't want your nicely done hair to get messed up. It's big enough and wide enough to go over hair without mussing. I bought the coat in Harbor Blue, and it's a very feminine color. I love it. When out for longer than a few minutes, I wear an extra Omni Heat shell under the coat for even more warmth. I have the pants, gloves, hats, coats, and boots in Omni Heat, and they're a god send. November 11, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Heavy Jacket This jacket has a lot of weight to it for a down jacket. Seemed heavy and weight-y to wear. There is alot of blue contrast and doesn't seem obvious in the picture. When wearing casually, it will show. This jacket appears to have a feminine style and shape to it, but it actually is really puffy and shapeless. Usually wear M/L and got a large. It fit well but was not flattering at all. I returned it for these reasons. November 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect! This jacket is perfect! It is exactly as described and fits me true to size. I am so pleased with my purchase I actually look forward to wearing it this winter! October 29, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love it! I bought this jacket last year in black. I am 5'11 and about 135 pounds and the small fits me well. The sleeves fit pretty good, the only thing is that I wish the area for the thumb holes was longer; my arms are a tiny bit too long for me to use them. I really love this jacket. I live in Wisconsin and it gets super cold in the winter, but this jacket keeps me very warm. It's a bit of an investment, but it's worth it. I would definitely recommend it! October 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fabulous Jacket What a warm feminine jacked. Love the fur on the hood. Nice color blue. Very pretty. I usually wear a size small, ordered a medium and fits perfect. Probably because it is a fitted style. Love it, nicest jacket I have ever had!!! September 19, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Too snug/short Unfortunately this one will be going back. I have no doubt it would keep me very warm on my top half, however it was beyond snug (even more-so than other "athletic fit" items I've tried) and felt a little too short to keep my bottom half warm in our brutal Chicago winters. The Harbor Blue also wasn't the powdery blue I was expecting it to be - it was darker and a little less "girly." September 3, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by WHY did I not buy this jacket sooner!!?? I live in Chicago and have had to endure quite a brutual winter this year. I used to have a peacoat from JC Penny, but after that -16 degree temperatures in January that required me adding about four extra layers underneath the coat, it was obviously time for a change. I'd been eyeing a Columbia jacket for awhile and practically jumped when I saw this one on sale. I was skeptical to say the least in the beginning. I didn't see how this Omniheat would keep me warm. Granted, we haven't experience the -16 degree temperatures yet this month, but it's been tried and true tested in some -4 degree temperatures, with only a long sleeve shirt on underneath and I was SWEATING. Most of the time I was around in it with no additional need for layers over top of my work clothes to keep warm, which has been amazing. The hood is great too and is detachable as described. I really kick myself for not having invested in a Columbia jacket before this winter started. If there's one drawback I could say, it's a little tight around the hips, but I understand why. You can't exactly trap body heat if it's loose fiting and letting body heat esacpe. I'm actually waiting for this jacket to stock back up in order to buy my mother one for her birthday! Would absolutely recommend this jacket! March 7, 2014
