Tamiami II shirt (women's) I own 8 of these shirts, and love them! Quick and easy machine wash and dry. NO ironing! and colors stay bright. I started getting mine for a trip to Colorado & Wyoming (so I could pack light). These shirts are comfortable, very well made, and I just wish they had more colors. I would recommend this to anyone looking for comfort and good quality. May 7, 2013
This product deliverrs This is my second Tamiami II shirt. It is lightweight and cool even in hot, humid weather. I wear it sailing and do not have to wear sticky sunscreen. I bought a different (more expensive) brand of sun protective shirt and gave it away because it is too hot to wear; it did not seem to "breathe" like the Columbia fabric does. May 2, 2013

Gorgeous colors, fabulous fabric I already had one so I ordered two more. It has been my favorite summer shirt - cool, not heavy yet not sheer, doesn't wrinkle, flattering. I love the fabric - it's not stiff like my other synthetic shirts. And the colors are wonderful. I got the two blues this time.But... as other reviewers noted, the shirt is really small around the hips. I ordered my usual size, medium, and it is perfect except that it's tight around the hips. I wear sz 10 pants, and have to leave the last button unbuttoned. So I sent them back to get size large. Hence the 4 stars, not 5. April 26, 2013
Great Versatility These shirts are light weight and very comfortable. When packed they come out almost wrinkle free, take up very little space and weigh next to nothing. With the roll-up and snap sleeves they are great for that cool morning that burns off into a hot day. April 25, 2013

Love this shirt! I found one of these shirts on sale and have used it for kayaking and bicycling. It's much better than greasing up with the SPF 30 sunscreen I was using with my tank tops. I've since bought 3 more in the beautiful colors available. March 12, 2013

Great shirt This is the 4th Tamiami shirt I bought. This white one replaced an older one which became too stained to use. I just returned from a trip to Ecuador where it was hot every day. I wore these shirts almost daily, washed them out at night and was ready to go the next morning (or in the case of the rainforest, they dried in 24 hours). They are comfortable and kept me dry. The 2 side zip pockets are convenient for small items. The fit is true to size and the style works alone or open over a tank or tee-shirt.The only negatives: the pockets do not hold larger items comfortably; they tend to stain easily. January 16, 2013
Light and comfortable I bought another model shirt last summer and fell in love with it. I live in the Tropics, it is hot and humid with sunshine all year round. The shirt gives good protection from the sun. I am surprised that it is suitable for the tropic, 'no sweat' at all. December 13, 2012

A wonderful outer shirt for traveling! I love this shirt & would like to have one in every color! I also have a white one that is great to wear over a T-shirt as a comfortable light "jacket". It is resistent to wrinkles & is easily washed. I especially like that I can hand wash it while traveling & it's dry within a short time. The vented back keeps me cool & the sleeves are long enough for cycling & other activities. This is my favorite item of Columbia clothing, although I've not seen it in stores recently so you should consider buying it before it is discontinued. October 11, 2012

Thank you for making my job easier I have 7 of these shirts for work in a range of colors. The women in the office find them a pleasantly feminine aspect to our field gear. The pockets in the seams are also plenty big and very handy. They are field functional and proffessionally crisp looking even after a day of sweating in our high humidity. They clean up easily with water. Even oil comes out with a bit of detergent while on the go, drying quickly. I will also be using them for personnel travel due their extreme functionality and complementary nature to many ensembles. October 2, 2012

Perfect shirt! This shirt has all the features I need in a lightweight top. As a kayaker and hiker, I need protection from the sun and a place to stash essentials. It's light and quick-dry enough to take splashes while kayaking without leaving me soggy and uncomfortable, and it doesn't make me sweat so much I want to take it off. The on-seam zip pockets are perfect for the things I need to keep close at hand: my EpiPen, sometimes a wallet, sometimes a phone--so I don't have to carry a bag. Pretty colors, too--but how about offering it in black and a nice forest green?I bought an XL for a loose fit and ability to layer; I often wear it as a jac-shirt for non-sport events. Perfect Shirt I am NOT a review writer, ever. BUT, as i went to purchase two more of these shirts, i thought i would advise other women. I purchased this for the florida keys fly fishing. I moved to Kansas and this past several months have been building pheasant pens in 100+ temperatures. I wet this shirt down and it keeps me sooooo cool...day after day. It still looks new when i throw it in the wash (and my shirt is white!). Unbelievable hot weather work shirt... Cant say enough good things about it. wish i had a man as good.! July 25, 2012

Attractive sun protection This is a well fitting, attractive shirt with spf protection. My only complaint is the 2 side zippered pockets that run vertically. When I tuck this shirt in, the zippers pooch out rather than lie flat because they are stiffer than the rest of the fairly thin fabric. Perhaps the zippers could be shorter? Otherwise good value. A little tight This shirt seems to run a little small especially through the bust area. I needed to go up to a 1x to get a little breathing room, and then the sleeves were a touch too long but still usable. Will probably send this one back. the color, while pretty is a little bright for the northwest outdoors. Wish this was available in earth tones so that you are not such a beacon while hiking. My Favorite Summer Shirt I bought my first Tamiami shirt because of the sun protection. And since then I have gotten a new one every year. I now have five. Best shirt on the planet. Period. This shirt is lightweight, doesn't wrinkle, packs well, easy to wash. Perfect for any weather. Sleeves can be rolled up and down easily. Protects skin from intense heat. Great to protect arms from sun while travelling in car. The shirt is fashionable and is available in festive colors to match any skirts, shorts, etc. Absolutely love the velcro tab at upper left chest to hold my glasses. Feminine and functional We live a casual lifestyle in Florida and I wanted something more than a cotton t-shirt for outdoor fun. This shirt is feminine, cool and functional. It looks crisp, washes well. I've worn it on the boat and walking on the beach with the standard boat pants. I've also worn it to the store with cute shorts. I like the snaps rather than buttons. The tabs that hold the sleeves up also snap and I think that is why the shirt looks so good. The velcro sleeve tabs usually found on this type shirt look sloppy. My husband wants me to buy several shirts so when the style is changed I still have this one! June 18, 2012
Just about perfect The Tamiami II shirt might be just about perfect: great shape; flattering fit without binding; functional zipper pockets; versatile sleeves; super easy snap closures. Lots of shirts that accommodate D-cup chests fit like flour sacks, but this one manages to be full where needed and to fit well elsewhere, too. Color options are the only bummer -- there are a few subdued offerings (navy, fossil) but the rest are, well, "vibrant" would be polite and "loud" might be more accurate. Well worth the price! I am allergic to the sun, I get a terrible rash that itches. I bought this shirt to wear at an event where I would be outdoors all day for several days. It worked great. And I could rinse out the shirt and hang up and be ready to wear the next day.I've avoided being outside because of the allergy. This shirt worked so well, I hope to get out more this summer. I like the light blue, fossil, and the melon (predictably sold out in my size at present - probably because of the limited choice in muted tones), but I have a hard time with a lot of the others.Just because we're women doesn't mean we have to wear bright pink or purple or easter-egg teal! Perfect travel shirt I bought this shirt for an upcoming trip to Italy. I wanted something that would be light to pack, easy to hand-wash and would drip dry fast. This shirt is all 3! I did a test and it washed up perfectly by hand and was dry in a few hours with very little wrinkling. Fit is great (I'm a busty girl so this is often tough with button down shirts) and it has great shaping through the waist. The only complaint I have is that you can't roll the sleeves up with the buttons snapped because it's too tight. Without the snaps closed, the rolls don't stay rolled and eventually become floppy and sloppy - even with the tab thingy. Stealing their idea of having tiny bits of velcro near the color to keep the color in place, I plan to add a little velcro to help keep the rolled sleeves in place. Otherwise, I love this shirt and plan to order more! March 30, 2012

Dog walker delight This light weight shirt is perfect for the early morning or late evening Florida dog walks keeping the mosquito's away. The shirt breaths nicely, the snaps buttons are easy and look great. I have owned my shirt for 2 years and have just bought another to add to my collection, along with giving as gifts to other dog walkers such as myself. Love it! I work outside and wear these shirts daily. If they're stain-free, I use them for going to town. They're cool and very durable. The only gripe I have about them is about the velcro tabs on the collar: I have to take them off as they are just too annoying. If they didn't have the tabs, I would have given a 5-star rating. Love the fabric! Initially I bought this shirt for camping and hiking. It is light-weight for hot weather and protects against mosquitoes, for the most part. But after so many compliments, I will probably wear this shirt beyond summer. It has a crisp look to it and slight wrinkles fall away with body heat after simply putting it on. I bought a second light yellow shirt to have an extra, but the color dyes were quite a bit different. I'm sure I will enjoy it even so. Too tight I have other button-down Columbia shirts in a size Large that fit great, so naturally I bought a size Large. Unfortunately, this shirt is way too tight for my shoulders and bust line. I won't be able to use it hiking and that is a bit disappointing. October 11, 2011
Great Shirt! I love this shirt! I use it not only for hiking and camping, but for casual every day. If I take it out of the dryer right away, I don't even have to worry about wrinkles too much. The feel of it against my skin is great. It really helps with temperature control. Also, having clothing with SPF ratings is a must for me - I'm so pale that I burn so easily. Go-to shirt I own several of these shirts. They are my go-to shirt when I am going to be in the sun for any length of time. Very comfortable and does not wrinkle. Unfortunately, after only one washing one of the snaps came apart and that is why I only gave 3 stars. Love, love, love this shirt! I purchased my first Tamiami II shirt a couple of years ago and it's been my go-to outdoor activity shirt ever since. My husband and I planned a visit to the Tetons this summer, so I ordered two more for our ten day trip. To my disappointment, they arrived shortly after we'd left for the trip, so I had only my one, white Columbia shirt to make it through. Fishing and hiking were our main activities, and this shirt was with me every step of the way. It's so comfortable, has so many great pockets, including the zippered ones in front where I put my fishing license and my keys. Great fit, easy to clean. I love the snap closures and the styling. I ordered one in a soft yellow and another in taupe so I can continue to blend in with the landscape when pursuing outdoor interests. The other colors are beautiful, too. How to measure
- Chest/Bust: Measure at the fullest part of the chest, under the armpits and over the shoulder blades, keeping the tape measure firm and level.
- Waist: Measure around natural waistline, allowing tape measure to sit comfortably.
- Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips.
- Sleeves: Start at the center back of your neck and measure across the shoulder to the elbow and down to the the wrist. Round up to the next even number.
- Inseam: Measure from the top of the interior leg to the bottom of the ankle.
