Rated 5 out of 5 by from This coat is awesome I'm a loyal Columbia customer , I only but coats from this website. This coat is thin yet very warm . I love the color , comfort and thumb holes on the sleeves. No other company offers the Omni shield protection , I won't buy a coat without it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Coat review I ordered a larger size because one of the reviews said it ran small. Unfortunately the cost is s little too big for me. A medium would have been much better so I'd say it runs true to size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best jacket I've ever bought! Lightweight and very comfortable and warm !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Warm! I am super pleased with the quality of this jacket. I bought it to hike Mt. Fuji in Japan and I was worried it would not be warm enough. At the top of the mountain, there was a rainy storm, and this jacket kept my upper body very warm! The material around your hands is nice when it is dry, but once it gets wet, it takes a while to dry. Overall, I love this coat. The medium fit true to size. I am 5'6 and weight 140 lbs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly What I was Looking For I wear this jacket in Oregon winters, and at the coast. It keeps the wind from cutting through, is light enough for me to be active in it, and keeps me dry. It's very easy to pack since it's so light and easily compresses into any backpack or suitcase. I can wear this jacket over anything, but on colder days I'll layer it with a fleece sweater. I ordered an xs and it has a little extra room, but still fits nicely. I don't mind it since I like to layer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great lightweight jacket Great jacket. Just a little bit bigger than true to size, but I like that because I enjoy a little extra space in my jackets especially when camping or outdoors. This jacket makes me feel like I'm walking around in my sleeping bag, super comfy and I never want to get out of it. This jacket is so comfortable. It's really nice and thin but so warm. It was freezing out and this was the ticket. It's also really packable and I'm able to stuff it pretty small into my bags. I really like the soft hood liner. My only thing that I would improve on this is adding internal pockets. My husband has internal waist pockets on his down jacket and he can just hold so many extra little things comfortably. This does have the breast pocket though, so that is great! I also really like the style of this down jacket. I was looking for one for a long time that wasn't super expensive and didn't make me look like a marshmallow woman from the distant future. This has the nice cross stitching which mellows the whole marshmallow thing out. A+ Columbia!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this so much, I bought it in every color The jacket is very lightweight, but it does not sacrifice warmth for its sake. The inner she'll is soft and cozy, and the outer shell is really light. I don't feel constricted in my movements as I do with other jackets, and it survives the drizzly rain we get in Seattle.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice packable jacket I was looking for a hooded, packable jacket and this comes pretty close to my needs for the right price. It's almost perfect but I have a few small issues with the fit. Originally ordered a S because I'm 5'1, 111lbs. It fit ok around the waist but the body was unflattering and I felt like I could fit 2 of my arms in each sleeve. I had to get an XS which is more flattering but the arms are still a little too big. When zipped up, it feels a bit snug but I guess it'll do for now. I haven't tested it out in super cold weather but it seemed fine in 50-degree weather with wind. My quest for the perfect jacket goes on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My favorite jacket I love this jacket. It is so comfortable and light weight. It keeps me warm and lets me move. I don't like puffiness.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight and warm This is just the coat I was looking for. The fit is flattering. As I read previous reviews I was wondering if the fit would be true to size. When I tried on my coat it was just right. I usually order a large and this large was not too tight-just right. The coat seems very thin, but kept me warm even on a cold winter day in mid-Wisconsin when it was in the 'teens. I love the tight fit of the "glove-like" cuff on the sleeves. There will be no more cold wrists for me! The extra furry material inside the back of the coat and hood is an added bonus. I am very satisfied with this coat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warmth without bulk I lost my first mighty lite jacket to my adolescent daughter, so I ordered another one, which I love even more than the first. It is warm without being bulky and is tailored enough to wear in almost any situation. I've worn it in the snow, in the cold NW drizzle, and on chilly, windy days, and it's kept me warm. I am 5'3 and a size 2, so I ordered an XS. It is a little looser in the hips, longer in the sleeves and broader in the shoulders than my previous Columbia mighty lite, but it still works fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfectly warm and light weight My favorite everyday jacket. Color is great (Dusty Purple). Length covers most of my rear which is what I was looking for. The jacket is form fitting and flattering. Not frumpy. Great choice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love it. When I first got this coat in the mail I thought it looked thin. After wearing it, the reflective heat gear on the inside kept me really warm, I had never had a coat with that and it's the best thing in my opinion. I love this coat!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight yet Warm! I was in the market for a coat that was lightweight, yet warm enough for the middle of winter in Indiana. This was recommended to me by a friend who lives in Wisconsin, and fits the bill! It feels as light as a windbreaker, yet it's kept me warm even in single digit wind chills! I'm convinced that the people who say is isn't warm are wearing it unzipped. For it to properly reflect body heat, you need to zip it. Also, those thumb holes are fantastic. My thumbs land in them easily every time! I bought a size large, and it's roomy without being too big. I measured myself and bought the size I fit according to the size chart. I'm 5'7" and a size 12 jeans.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don'tliketobecold I specifically bought this coat to go visit my daughter in Green Bay Wisconsin. I didn't want a big puffy jacket but wanted one that was functional and warm and this one was perfect. The temps fluctuated from 0 degrees to 30 degrees and even outside while it was was snowing I was plenty warm with only a light fleece long sleeve underneath;. I would definitely recommend this jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! This jacket is so cozy! I am always cold but hate wearing a bulky jacket. This coat performs beautifully!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from lightweight and comfortable! I really like the warmth of this coat, but yet it is so lightweight. In saying that, it easily tears, but I still would recommend it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this jacket. Very light weight. Resistant to the breeze.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it Winters can at times be very snowy and I didn't want a heavy bulky jacket. I had one like this before but a broken zipper required a replacement. The new jacket has a bit less thickness/padding but this is still a a great jacket. I do love the updates in this version -- the warm fuzziness on the back and in the hood were excellent updates! I like to wear a hoodie or zip front sweater under my jacket so I got an XL and I still had room to be comfortable in a seated position or raising my arms above my head. Suggestions......hope to see an outside pocket on the chest area in the future. It helps to keep my train pass, metro card & cash in a outside breast pocket for quick access. The one inside is ok but it forces you to continuously have to unzip yourself and I find that not very conducive, especially if its windy and cold. The outside breast is easier & more secure then the lower pockets. Even with the changes, I am still glad I purchased it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from True to size This jacket does not run small.. If anything, it runs a little large, especially in the upper arms and torso. Ordered a Small when I could have fit an XSmall. (Im 5'2, 120lbs.) This jacket is a lot thinner than it looks. Its good for chilly weather around 30-40 degrees, if you wear with a hoody or light layer underneath. Also was disappointed that there is no drawstring hem when it specifies there is. There is only a drawstring on the hood.
Date published: 2017-01-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Purchase The coat does run slightly small for a medium. It seems many of my Columbia coat purchases run small. I couldn't wear a large, so it's a little snug with a sweater. I haven't used the hood much, but wish it wasn't plush to mess up my hair. Overall I'm happy with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I was looking for! Recently joined the Appalachian Trail Club and needed a warm, lightweight, active wear jacket. This fits the bill. I wanted something that could be worn with multiple layers and could either be easily tied around my waist or stowed in my day pack. I ordered the XS and it fits perfectly. I'm 5/1, 105 with a curvy figure. 32B, 24, 35 and a full rear. Arm length is wonderful and I love the extensions with the thumb hole. Lots of room under the hood for my favorite beanie and also plenty of room for two base layers if necessary. Since it's so lightweight, on exceptionally cold, windy or rainy days I can wear my Ex Platinum Shell Jacket over everything.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very warm jacket I bought this for a light weight Fall jacket after having bought my college age daughter a Columbia 3-in-1 winter coat with Omni-Heat. She raved about how warm the inner jacket was. This jacket is so light weight and thin it barely feels like you have a jacket on and it is very warm. I like the cuffs with thumb holes that you can use or not use.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good for colder fall days I bought this expecting a nice warm winter coat, but it didn't live up to my expectations. If you're looking for a coat for colder fall days, this will be great for you. I am returning mine so I can get a heavier one for cold winter days in Indiana.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I like it but it's too big I love the jacket, very light, comfortable and warm, the only inconvenient is that despite the description indicates it fits slightly small, turned out to be very big. I am usually a size small-medium and considering the description I went for a medium size, nevertheless it was too big, a small size would have been better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved it I'm from Minnesota where it can be in the negatives and walk to school every morning. It's a great coat, but on the really cold days I put a sweatshirt on underneath it. If you live in a place where it stays around the 20-30 it would keep you very warm. I wish would have gotten a bigger size because I'm 5'7'' and wear a small but got in a medium for growing room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice coat! Flattering and comfortable Love this coat. Love how the thumb holes automatically slip over my thumbs without my having to find them. Colors awsome. This coat is not binding at all or too bulky but still warm.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warm coat I have been a very big fan of the omni heat technology since this past December. I was looking for a short winter coat and decided to buy this one. The length is actually pretty good, not too short. I really like that the hood has a fuzzy material in it. My only complaint is the fit. It seems to run a little small. I normally wear a size small or Medium and this coat I feel like I could of even gotten a large to fit thicker sweaters under. Still would recommend. Still keeps you warm on the coldest days

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jacket! Just got my jacket today and I am in love! I ordered the emerald color and it's beautiful not to mention it's so flattering. I even tested it out because we have snow here in Nashville, lightweight yet VERY warm.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Maybe mine was defective? I have two other Mighty Lite jackets the same size (Small), and was disappointed that this "plush" version cuts-in at the front shoulders (like, when I reached forward, like driving). I felt like the seams were cutting into the front of my shoulders. My other two Mighty Lite jackets don't cut-in and are very comfortable with easy range-of movement. Too bad, because the rest of it fit great! Sent it back. Kind of wanted to try another, but don't know if they're all like that. Incidentally, I am 5'8", 130 pounds, and ALL of my Columbia coats are size small.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Daughter chose this coat! It sure helped to refer to Columbia's fit guide. Size medium fit my curvy, 5'2" daughter very well. She loved it immediately and has worn it since!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good coat Overall this coat does its job. It's light weight yet still warm ! I've worn it in temp under freezing and I stayed very warm. My only 2 "complaints" I would say is that I wish the hood was a little my fitted and it runs a little large.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Gift I bought two of these for my daughters for Christmas. They both say they are the best coats they have ever owned. They are light weight and keep them warm.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't like Well the thing is its an xl but it is very big so maybe it runs bug but I got the granduer peak jacket in an xl and it fits big also I guess I'm just a large but this jacket at the waist is not snug enough and it's very thin
Date published: 2016-01-12
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice looking but has sleeve problems This jacket is made of beautiful material and would be perfect except that the sleeves are really wide. They are not in proportion to the fitted body of the jacket (we needed size XS). If the sleeves were more slender and tailored as is the body of the jacket, the jacket would have looked much better on. If you don't mind wider/puffier-looking sleeves, it would probably be fine for you.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Jacket I did a lot of research and going back and forth about what jacket to wear...I've had a Banana Republic down jacket for the past decade and it's finally starting to disintegrate. I wanted a jacket that was not too bulky, but insulated well and so far, this does the trick! It hasn't been truly tested temperature wise (I live in Los Angeles, so he hasn't been too cold as of yet. I did wear it while it was low 50's out.) but so far I really like it! For me, it was a just a *touch* too small, but I kept it any way. So far it has been warm, water resistant, comfortable, and stylish. I have gotten several comments on how nice it looks. The one thing I would say is that the OmniHeat technology makes the inside sparkly and shiny, so it can look a little funny when worn open! But zipped closed it is quite nice and I have been using it a lot since I bought it.
