Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 43 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Boots I have hiked in snow, mud, rain, and ice. These boots keep your feet warm and dry. They have a good tread and keep you from fall on slippery surfaces. Keeps feet happy on rocky surfaces. I highly recommend these boots! September 11, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Ms They are great pair of boots I used them every day in construction site .they are strong pair and very comfortable September 10, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Has great features, BUT So I received these boots as a graduation present because I now reside in Colorado for college, and I love the outdoors. There are a few specific reasons I rated them 4/5, so i'll explain. They are my first pair of hiking boots and I made a very rookie mistake in not breaking them in in the slightest before heading out on a medium/moderate terrain 7.5 mile hike. Literally took them out of the box and headed out to the mountains. I did notice right off the bat though that even though I don't have a high arch, the arch of my right foot was aching within half an hour of the trek from lack of support there. I brushed it off and realized too late that preparation should have been taken beforehand, so I didn't have to suffer through 5 hours of being on my feet with this. The crease did hurt my toes, although I did expect at least that since the leather/product is brand new and needs time to soften. My hiking socks are also Columbia brand since it's been my favorite for winter boots etc, but I will be looking for new socks with more cushion to help with the lack of arch support and overall cushion in the sole of the boot, as well as looking for in-soles for more support. I really enjoy the aesthetic of the boot, and wished there was more support in the soles, and that the tongue of the boot didn't stick out funny as it did after being laced up, which may have played a role in why i'm a little sore around the ankles as well; the boot itself was a smidgen loose around my ankle because of that. If you have more of a flat foot, are ready to spend a little more money on some in-soles, or are just looking for a good quality boot with less cushion, these are right for you. The omni-grip is amazing and I didn't slip once whilst scaling boulders and they were a breeze on uneven terrain. I also got size 6.5 (quarry/ blue wave) as I usually wear a size 6, and I have the perfect amount of space for thick socks. Overall I feel very hopeful with these boots and that'll i'll be able to break them in and modify them to fit my needs because in a few weeks I am planning a 14er mountain hike, and these boots have a good frame to my standards, and I would love to actually be comfortable in my boots. I hope this review is helpful! September 6, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Simply wonderful boots I'm normally in between an 8 & 8.5, so I got size 8.5 and they were perfect, I could also wear two pears of thick socks and still be comfortable. I used these boots for the first time hiking up a mountain. I realized that probably wasn't the best decision because the boots had yet to be broken in, but I had no problems whatsoever. They kept my feet warm in 21° weather (& that's hard to do with my feet), kept them cool while I was hiking, and kept them dry in snow. To sum it up, I was in awe of how perfect these boots were and couldn't believe how good my feet felt after hiking, despite hiking at a constant incline for 8 hours straight. September 4, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product Love these boots. Super comfy, lightweight and functional!! Columbia always makes a great product. July 28, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent boot for hiking and outdoor work Comfortable from the start, supportive but flexible enough, the boot also has classic good looks. July 9, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Exactly what I wanted I'm new to hiking, and I wanted to get a pair of boots that would give me the support I needed. I haven't hiked in them yet, but wearing them around the yard so far they feel great! June 28, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by TRUE TO SIZE I read the reviews in this page and decided to buy a number more than I usualy get (I`m a 6 and got a 6.5). I can`t use them, probably will have to sell them. Do not make this mistake. I`m very sad because I loved this boots, they seem to be very confortable and I won`t be able to use them. June 20, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Wanted to like these boots.... Was really excited about these boots, and they fit me perfectly. I worked on breaking them in before using them on a larger hike. Once I used them on a larger hike to reach a summit, my feet were trashed. I got 5 blisters and they are still healing more than a week after the hike. I'm bummed cause I really wanted to hike a lot this summer, and waiting for my feet to heal sucks. I love the look of these boots and the durability seems good, but it's comfort evidently isn't good when going on longer hikes. June 8, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by 4 years I had this pair of boots for 4 years. I wear them when I'm going in the woods, yard work, fishing, anything. It's not a winter boot, it's light, sturdy, comfy. My pair lasted 4 years before I had to retire them because they were no longer waterproof. I tried a different brand and regret it. I'll be buying another pair very soon. May 2, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice boot Boots feel very comfortable with room for a hiking sock. I like the style. Very good traction. April 27, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Shoe This is a very comfortable shoe. I have worn it working outside and just walking. The may be a bit narrow, but not too much that it bothers my feet. I wear a 7.5 shoe. I ordered the 8 and it fits perfectly. A little hard to get on at first until they loosen up a little. Would definitely recommend!! April 13, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Boots Love these boots. I wear them for my job when I work out in the field and they are very comfortable. March 29, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Runs a little wide, Feels kind of cheap I run between a 7.5 and an 8, so ordered an 8. It runs just a tad big both in length and width, but I have narrow feet so anyone with normal feet is probably fine. The shoes in general have a great design. I like the simplistic look of them and the shape of the toe - though I wish the brown wasn't so deep in color. Columbia could get a lot of traction selling these shoes with a lighter brown and some colorful laces. The shoes do feel a little bit cheaply made compared to other Columbia shoes. I'm returning them because of the wide fit, however. March 4, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Get it Cutest and most function approved shoe yet. I love these. Everything about them is great! February 6, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for Work or Outdoors I bought this because I needed new waterproof boots for when I would be outside working in the rain. I have been outside in torrential downpours and it is AMAZING!! My feet were dry and comfortable and that was the only reason I could tolerate such weather! Only thing is that the boots aren't too great in weather below 32 degrees F, need thick socks and toe warmers!!! Only thing is that the material immediately around the toes is wearing down, but I think that it will be okay. February 3, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great pair of all weather hiking boots. Wore it in the snow, hiked with it in the rain, and fell into a river hiking with them on. My socks remained dry, and my feet comfy. Better and more durable than my sneakers, and I love my sneakers. They do run a little bit big, but I still got my original size and wore thick socks with them while hiking. January 30, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Warm and comfortable boot I wear these boots to work quite often because the are so comfortable and stylish. I like both colors and would recommend them to anyone. January 23, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great hiking boot! After reading the reviews, I decided to go 1/2 size up from my normal size and I feel like it was a great choice! I did feel the material bending into the top of my foot the first few times but it went away after the leather softened. I can't get over how light they are! They are very comfortable and I love the grey color! I wear them daily, as long as there isn't too much snow outside :) January 22, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Returned them! I returned this item as the foot bed of the shoe was horrible and likened a hard piece of cardboard and did not have an arch support. Very unlike their Winter coat line of products. It cost me almost $11 to ship back to Columbia, ugh! January 6, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Boot LOVE this boot! Wanted something tougher for hiking on rocks and in colder weather. Columbia you came through again! December 17, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Boot Ordered these boots for work where I'm on my feet quite a bit. They were comfy right out of the box. After reading reviews I did order a half size up and they were perfect! December 13, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Boots creased & hurt toes Great quality, light, true size for me, 7. Problems: boots creased & hurt toes; can not return after wearing them outside. Not sure how to test hiking boots without hiking? December 13, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice lightweight boots These boots were not hot in mid summer in Florida and that is saying something! Very comfortable from the first wear, but I use orthaheel insoles. Not as much toe room as my Merrells but adequate. I love them. I am a letter carrier. October 9, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nature Lover Love love love these boots!! Fit is perfect and I find myself hating to take them off. Just returned from a trip to Maine and they were perfect for all the hikes we took. Since they are waterproof I am also looking forward to wearing them this winter as well. Highly recommend!! September 24, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Light weight and comfortable Was very happy with the very light weight of these boots and the overall quality. Felt very comfortable the first time I wore these boots September 21, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by These babies took on ZionNP & Bryce Canyon Excellent through heat & rain. Hugged the terrain. So much better than a sneaker. I thought the rigid ankle support would bother me, NOT. I have flat feet & these supported them without inserts. I didn't break them in prior to our ZionNP & Bryce Canyon trip & thank goodness they were so comfy from the get go I could wear them throughout the day. I purchased 1/2 size larger because of adding hiking socks & for expansion of feet through the day. I originally wanted blue but then decided brown it would hide the dirt better. September 21, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great All Around Boot I work with sled dogs. I hike, bike, and play a lot in the great outdoors. These boots are incredibly versatile and well worth the investment. They are even good in the wet Alaskan weather that we have kept my feet dry even in the wettest of conditions. When worn with a pair of thick thermal socks, your feet will stay warm but never get too warm. I've already ordered a second set. September 16, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect for Hiking! We went for two weeks to National Parks for hiking. This shoes are perfect! You will feel comfortable and safe on the trails. September 10, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not a Happy Camper So looking forward to getting these boots. When I ordered them I noticed others mentioning they ran small so I ordered 1/2 size larger, so the fit was fine. However, when I tried the boot on it was stiff, uncomfortable and offered little to no padding to support my foot. I could already anticipate the blisters I was going to get on my first hike. I decided to forego the hiking and simply returned them before they could do any damage. So very disappointed. This was a reminder to me of the reason why I rarely purchase footwear online. Rated 5 out of 5 by Good light-weight hiking shoe Bought these for my daughter and was told: Nice, yet tough, shoes. Held up well to hiking in Canada. Comfortable even after several days in the woods. August 21, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Looking forward to buying a second pair Fits and feels like a glove! I also like that it gives lots of support on the sides but has a gentle u shape in the back of the ankle to further support but not rub. The soles have very comfortable padding and good traction. I wore these in the summer on trail and light brush with hiking socks and they kept my feet fairly cool. I will definitely be getting a second pair! August 12, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very happy!! I ended up buying 2 pr for myself and 1 for my daughter. Used all last winter in city and on trails. Feet stayed dry and comfy July 20, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Finally found a replacement for my old Columbias I've been trying to find a replacement for another pair of Columbias that I have worn for years - and many, many miles. This pair does it. They are comfortable, pretty cool on hot days even with heavy socks. and waterproof. First time in years at Scout Camp that I didn't think about my feet! Even after 12 hours. Recommend getting a1/2 to full size larger than street shoe size but that's wise with most hiking boots so you can accommodate heavier socks. I love how the treads do not hang onto clumps of mud (doesn't track into the car) July 16, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Hikers Around I just purchased my 2nd pair of the Newton Ridge hiking boots. The first pair were so comfy I wore them most of the time. These boots are durable, comfortable, great traction & ankle support, waterproof uppers, easy to clean and care for. I have worn these in the city, hiking in the Smokey's to around the farm, just a great boot! June 18, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by worth the price!! I was nervous about paying 90.00 plus for a pair of shoes on line with out trying them on, but after researching the boot and reading other reviews I went for it, and I am glad I did, I just joined a hiking group and they have been very comfortable esp. on the 10 plus mile long hikes!!! April 30, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great boot I bought these boots for work. I work outside in south Florida so it's really important for me to have boots that are durable, lightweight and water proof. These boots cover all three of those requirements. I have a slightly wider foot and these boots are roomy and comfortable. They also have excellent traction and ankle support. Overall great boot! April 3, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Boots Ever! I rarely write reviews about products, but these boots deserve a great review! I did conservation corps, and built trails for an entire summer and wore these boots, out of the entire crew I was the only one who did not get blisters! My feet stayed dry, which is a must when camping for long periods of time! The next summer, I climbed five 14ers in CO, and they were still in pretty good condition! I just bought my second pair which is pretty good considering that I spent two summers almost continuously wearing these boots! Good socks are a must to accompany these great boots! November 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love these shoes I just got them and I love them already. I needed a shoe that would give me a little support on the ankles, had good grip on rocks, and of course pretty and comfortable. These have it all!! November 12, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Everyday Boot I bought this boot for weekend hiking, but it fits perfect as an everyday boot for fall/winter. I use number 8.5 but bought it 9. It runs a little bit small. Even for me, I have a narrow/thin foot. Very comfortable and very good material. October 29, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by this product has great features These boots are very comfortable. I needed them for my job and my feet and legs never hurt from standing. They are true to size. And when these wear out I will diffently get another pair. March 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect hiking boots I bought these boots to train for an intense hike in Rockies in October. The search for boots without too much cushion was not easy. These boots worked very well. They are still going strong months later. March 14, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best hiking boots ever These are the most comfortable boots I have ever had! I have been hiking in the mountains and the desert in them. They are waterproof and have the Omni-Grip for no slipping. We even had a very rare snow / ice storm this winter and they were my go-to shoes for the duration. March 2, 2014
