Women's Pardon My Trench™ Rain Jacket is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 94.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Buy a Size Up to Fit Over a Layer I ordered a large which is what size I normally wear. After it arrived, I realized that while it fits over a thin outfit, if I'm wearing a sweater or something a little thicker than a basic shirt, it gets a little snug. It still looks alright but it feels tight. I'm keeping the large because exchanging the jacket will cost more than it's worth because of shipping.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cover your behind I have a small lightweight rain jacket that I really like, but I wanted one that was longer and would cover my behind. This is lightweight and long enough. I am 5'3" and bought a large because I wanted to layer under it. I normally wear a medium. I bought the matching Columbia fleece and it fits under nicely. The jacket is not sloppy big without it though. The hood has a nice adjustable feature and stayed on even in some wild wind. Unlike some reviewers, I found the belt to hit at my waist, but I am not long-waisted. I am looking forward to traveling with this jacket.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great coat! As I live in Seattle, I was looking for a trench coat that I can wear to work on rainy days. I am 5'6 and weigh 170lbs and usually wear a size large for tops. I ordered an XL to give me room to wear sweaters underneath. I received the jacket today and it fits well, but there won't be much room for layers underneath as it was a bit smaller than other jackets in the same size I've purchased from Columbia.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect gift I got this as a gift for my mom and she loved it ! Our little city is always foggy and overcast so this jacket is perfect for the weather without being too heavy. She loves the color, it's more on the pink side which is her favorite. It fits great! My grandma loved it so much I got her one as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Trench Rain Jacket ...Just Rught! I've been looking for a smart and functional rain jacket. Wether I am dressing up for work, and need an overcoat for the rain, or hiking around-in casual clothes, this jacket keeps me dry. It looks great! I'm taking a group of students to Machu Picchu next February and I believe it will be perfect to travel with, and functional to keep me dry. I ordered a size large, so I can wear Lagos under the jacket. Thanks, Columbia for your high quality, long lasting wear!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product is exactly as described. Jacket is very lightweight, wind and rain resistant. It's perfect for those wet and blustery days.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the style of this jacket! If you want to layer under this, then make sure that you order a size up. I ordered my size and it just fit, with no room for any layering for cooler days. Exchanging was fast and easy and the size up is perfect alone, or layered. Love the Nocturnal color.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flint Grey Rain jacket This is my first rain jacket and I love it. It fits me perfect and I have used it several times since it has been raining. I'm buying another one in a different color.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for rainy days that are not that cold This jacket is perfect for rainy days. It keeps you totally dry and looks very good with any outfit. But if you are looking for something for cold weather this isn't probably your best option.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from This jacket is very short and doesn't look nice I did not like this rain jacket at all. I usually wear size small (regular), but this jacket was very short, and material was very thin. This jacket is going back. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my new raincoat!! I have worn this coat twice so far & am quite pleased! The hood is well constructed & handy - no need for an umbrella while running errands in the rain! Roomy enough for layering but still a flattering fit....I am 5'7" and 155 lbs. Purchased the large and it fits nicely! Thanks again Columbia - for being a brand I can rely on!l

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it So some quick facts: I'm 5'4, 170 lbs and I live in Texas. I truly love this jacket. It doesn't rain all the time in Texas, but when it does, you want a raincoat, and preferably light weight since it's always hot. I've owned this jacket for about a year and it's perfect most of the time. I would say that I went to Colorado with this coat in the summer and we went on top of one of the mountains and it was SO COLD. This did nothing for keeping me warm and if you're buying it for that, you'd be wasting your money, but if you want something that will keep you dry and is lightweight, it's a great jacket!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Zipper defective I sized up one size and it fit well. However the zipper was defective and this item had deep wrinkles all over.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Rain Jacket I love this jacket, and have no real complaints to date, the only thing that I did not realize when I purchased this jacket was that it has dual zippers as the main closure, which can be a little tricky, especially when putting the jacket on. If the two zippers are not perfectly aligned when you zip the jacket up, the only way to get it back off is to pull it over your head and then spend twenty minutes manipulating the zippers until you get them both back open again. All-in-all would buy again, but would probably buy in store to see if other jackets have the same issue as the one I currently have.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not waterproof :( I have had this jacket for less than a year and used it lightly. In the last couple days I realized my clothes were getting wet under it. I had planned on having this rain coat for a long time and now I already have to buy a new one. It is a shame because it's a very cute jacket with a flattering fit, but that doesn't matter when it does not function the way it was supposed to. Very disappointed with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great rain jacket I received my trench and we are in a season of rain everyday so I have gotten lots of use. It runs small so i ordered extra large and glad I did. I ordered Ruby Red which really is a hot pink/fuschia color. I really wanted Red but like this color anyway just know there is not one inkling of red in the color. It is great to repell rain and keep you dry.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed I went by the size guide and ordered a medium, but I'm now wondering if this jacket was meant to be baggy. I tried it on with a friend and both of us thought it was a men's jacket. The sleeves, shoulders, and chest are *really* large but it fits my hips fine (it's very box-y). I tried to give it a chance by tying the belt but it just looked ridiculous no matter how I tried to style it. I've had Columbia jackets before, but they've never been misshapen like this. I'm disappointed because the photos make it look versatile while still somewhat feminine and because the material was exactly what I was looking for (very thin, a good rain-resistant shell to layer over sweaters). After having to pay to return it, I don't think I'll be ordering online again.
Date published: 2016-09-13
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Runs small I normally wear a small in jackets and originally this one seemed fine, but I gained a little weight and it doesn't fit anymore. I'm 5' 4" 140 lbs. Really love this style though so I'm going to order up a size. Unfortunately I ordered this in 2015 so I can't return it anymore, but like it enough to order again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product Just want I expected!!! Fits greats

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Buy I purchased this item after spending many mornings and afternoons getting drenched while dropping/picking up my preschoolers from school. I like that it is longer and covers my bum and although I am on the shorter side (5'2) I think it would still cover a taller ladies backside as well. I purchased an XL because I have a larger chest size and wanted to ensure it would fully zip across my chest, even while wearing a sweater or layers. I like that the trench tie is actually part of the jacket - it doesn't bunch up when you tighten it. And it doesn't have the opportunity to fall off. I purchased the jacket in red hibiscus but it is closer to a dark coral. I chose this color so I would always notice it in case I left it lying somewhere and it makes me easier to be seen when I'm walking through a rainy parking lot, waiting for my kiddos, or walking down the street. I would recommend this coat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect! I live in Florida. Our "winter" is rainy and gets down to the low 30s for a little while. This raincoat is indeed only a shell, however when I paired it with a Columbia fleece pullover it was warm enough to wear while riding my bike to school on our chilliest days. And I am a wuss about the cold! I appreciate the fact that it is so thin and lightweight because as the day warms up I can easily remove a layer and place it in my backpack without it taking up too much room. By itself this is a wonderful raincoat. It has a rear vent that helps when it is warm or humid as well as a very nice large hood that has enough stiffness to hold its shape and act as a small rain visor when needed. The fit is very chic thanks to the tie-belt. The pockets are large and have zippers. A great product!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good raincoat/small I ordered an XL after reading the reviews. It is a good size for a tall, skinny person. The sleeves are very long, but the torso is snug. I plan to return it. If layering for warmth, this will not work for me. The proportions seem off. I thought I had long arms. It is not water proof but water resistant. I have a jacket with Omni Tech which I love and will shop for that feature as it is waterproof. I really liked this silhouette.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product is of exceptional quality! Very satisfied with my purchase. Not what I thought it was on line, but will be very useful come warmer weather.
Date published: 2016-01-27
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not what it appears I read the reviews that this jacket was thinner than it appears online, but I decided to go ahead and order anyway to try it out myself. The reviews were accurate- it is just a shell, no extra lining to help keep you warm at all. A trench coat tends to be on the thicker side, so the name of the jacket is not fitting in my opinion. I sent it back immediately.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Jacket The fabric on this jacket is wonderful. I also love that it provides a bit more protection than most zip up rain jackets.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Light Rain Jacket This rain jacket is pretty awesome. It kept me dry during a hike. Although it's thin, it kept me warm on a 50F day. I don't care for the pink strings on the hoodie though. I would definitely wear a good layer underneath for extra warmth. It looks way thicker in the picture than it actually is.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from too small Really nice product but sizing not accurate. Disappointed but will reorder.
Date published: 2015-10-25
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cute but not waterproof I agree with the other reviewers. This jacket is very cute and flattering, but not all that waterproof. I wore it for the first time in a medium rain and within 5 minutes my arms were damp. I'm really sad because it is such a cute jacket, but if you want it to actually keep you dry, I'd go with something else. I will be returning mine.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from mrs This was a very nice raincoat, BUT it runs very, very small. Couldn't wear it and had removed the tags so I couldn't return it. Gave it to a much smaller person and it barely fit.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Buyer Beware... When my trip to the UK was planned for September, 2015, I knew I'd need a good, reliable raincoat. My search for the coat, which took longer than expected, ended at our local Cabela's in the form of the Pardon My Trench coat. I am normally a size L, as I like a little wiggle room, but opted for the XL so that I could wear layers if need be, though I had to fold back the sleeves a little. I was happy with the coat's look - it could be dressed up or down - and believed the venting in back suggested it was breathable. I was WRONG. The first time I wore the coat I had a thin long-sleeved T-shirt under it. The weather looked threatening, though it never rained. However, it wasn't long before I began to feel a little chilled despite the somewhat mild air temperature. When I stopped to eat lunch and removed the coat I was shocked to discover my shirt was sopping wet! When I turned the coat inside out I found the lining of the coat felt as if I'd taken a hose to it. I sat in the restaurant awhile to warm up and dry out a bit and put the coat in my small backpack. I didn't wear it again for about a week, opting to wear my more casual Marmot Precip coat instead. When I did wear the Columbia again I was in Edinburgh. I decided to give it another chance. Though it sprinkled a little at first, the weather cleared off nicely. However, within an hour or so of walking up the steep streets and stairs, I again noticed a chill and discovered I was once more damp inside the coat. I am not an overly large person, though broad-shouldered, and I like my clothes roomy as opposed to skin tight, especially if I am going to wear layers. I am pretty fit and don't sweat more than the average person. I walked back to my lodging, stripped off the coat, changed my shirt, donned the Marmot, and never dared wear the Columbia coat again. I was tempted to just leave it behind at the lodging as it was basically useless and taking up precious room in my suitcase. So, please be warned that this coat is NOT breathable in any way. If you are looking for a dependable raincoat to keep you warm and dry this is not the coat for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Size I usually wear a medium and I had to order a large in this particular coat. Love the colour and functionality of this coat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome coat! Very nice, very waterproof. Packs small, super lightweight. Took it on a trip to Alaska and it served me well, even in pouring rain. I love that it is long enough to sit on if need be.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ties don't stay I like this jacket. I'm in college and want to have a nice looking jacket for all of those rainy days walking across campus. It is cute and the cut is flattering however the ties don't stay in place unless you double knot them. Not a very big deal but I regret not getting the jacket with elastic at the waist instead. Overall, very pleased.
Date published: 2015-07-08
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great looking rain jacket This jacket runs a bit smaller than regular sizes so order up a size. The cut is very nice and similar to another high end brand. Bundles up very small so its a great space saver in your luggage and its extremely light weight. I haven't worn it in the rain yet, so I can't attest to its actual water proofing ability, but all in all the jacket is very stylish and the color choices go with anything.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Surprised. First off, I am a true 8-10. I'm 5ft and a curvy 143lbs. Every review said this jacket ran small so I ordered up a size. I AM SWIMMING IN IT. Stick with what you would normally order. Otherwise, it's adorable and very sturdy considering how lightweight it is. I hope to exchange for a medium!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stylish and Practical This is the rain coat I have sought for years! Perfect fit, quality construction. The stylish trench design makes even jeans look uptown and can, of course, be worn with my business casual outfits as well. The red hibiscus color simply glows and makes rainy days bright. I am going to get the fossil color next so I can wear it year round. This is a must-have jacket!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Columbia Pardon My Trench Coat I love this jacket. It keeps me protected from the wind. Have not yet tried it in the rain. The only issue I have had with it is the zipper. It is very difficult to zip up. Don't know if this is typical or a malfunction with my coat. Otherwise this jacket is great. Will recommend to everyone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Similar coats do not fit the same!! I purchased my wife the Women's Take To The Street Trench Coat. I later purchased her the Women's pardon My Trench Rain Coat. If you look them up, they look almost identical. One heavier than the other. But they sure do not fit the same. The Take To The Streets Trench Coat fits her really good. The Pardon My Trench Rain Coat is a good bit smaller. Hard to believe but it is true.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Review of raincoat I loved the product, but it runs small. I ordered a size larger, XL, and it still did not fit correctly. I would not have been able to wear a heavy sweater underneath. When zipped up, I looked like a sausage. Really sad it did not work.. great weight and good quality.
Date published: 2015-03-24
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good in light rain, not so much in heavy rain. I got the black jacket in a Medium, and I'm 20 years old 5'3 and 120lbs. Fits great! I love the length, just covers my bum and the pockets are nice because they zip shut. Sometimes it takes me a minute to zip the jacket because of the double zipper, but I love the fact that there is a double zipper. However I thought that it was going to be a little more water proof. It works great in light rain but last night I was out on my bike and it started raining pretty hard and especially my arms got really wet. Also I agree with others about the hood--I can't get it to stay up, even when I pull the strings as tight as I can. Overall I like the jacket, but I would not recommend if you're going to be in heavy rain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from love it! I'm so excited to see these colorful rain jackets with xs size for small lady like me. it's so handy in Portland where rains a lot. I can see why some customers think it is too small, but if you are slim, this jacket make you stand out. On the first day I ware it to the supermarket, 3 ladies walked to me and asked me where I got it and how much I paid. It's an eye catcher. Thank you Columbia for making this type of jackets available for skinny ladies like me. This the most beautiful rain jacket I have seen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket I got the red jacket. Under certain lighting it looks orange, but overall it's the perfect rain jacket to brighten up your rainy day.
Date published: 2015-01-28
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Stylish rain jacket This jacket is very stylish for a rain jacket. It is not very warm though. If you want to wear this in winter weather you need something like a fleece jacket underneath. The jacket runs a little small. If you are in between two sizes, take the larger one.
Date published: 2015-01-27
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fit The fit of this jacket is mostly for younger figures. My age group (over 65) needs more room in the arms and around the midsection. I found the large too small and the extra large was too fitted and the sleeves were too long. I loved the material and the color, but the fit was not comfortable for me.
