Reviews

Women's Pardon My Trench™ Rain Jacket is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 32.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable Jacket Very nice jacket, love the style and color of the jacket. The material is very soft and keeps me dry. Runs a little bit smaller then I had intended but I would still recommend it - I love it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from My Thoughts This product ran true to size except that the sleeves run long. Have to roll them up. Was not made as well as I expected. Everything I have always ordered was always great except the quality of this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sweet jacket I love this jacket for spring! It's light, perfect for warm spring rains in the Pacific NW, water repellent and a beautiful color. What a great price, too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good raincoat Good design and quality. My wife likes it very much.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Smart look for a basic I purchased the cypress which has a bit of an army fatigue look, but the style is fashionable. I love the attached belt which gives a smoother waist. The fit is a bit more trim at the waist than your usual rain cover, which I appreciate, but this could perhaps limit your use in some areas of travel if you wanted to wear more layers. Overall, a very good buy. Size small was grand for my 5'4", #110.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good light weight jacket Perfect light weight rain jacket. It fits well...just be realistic about your size. I didn't see any problem with sizing as mentioned in other reviews. It is meant as a light weight, spring/fall jacket and not for winter with a heavy sweater worn underneath.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect spring jacket I bought this wanting a "nicer" rain jacket since all my others were more sporty and casual, and this was perfect for that! Great neutral color, great shape. I did size up after reading everyone's reviews before and I'm happy that I did.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice jacket Haven't worn in the rain yet, but it is a very nice color and fits great! Nice lightweight material with a good hood.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stylish I love the color, the length and the functionality!! The color just makes me overall happy. I am pretty tall so it's not easy finding jackets that are long enough like I want and fit perfect; this one did the job!! Highly recommended

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A "Go To" jacket This is a great, light weight jacket to grab and go for these in between days with a Chance of rain. Stylish, well made (as usual), a very serviceable jacket.
Date published: 2017-03-18
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Color pictured is inaccurate I'm so bummed. The color "ruby red" is not red--it's a dark pink. It's not what is pictured. Size medium fit as expected in body but arms seem somewhat large, which doesn't quite match the more "fitted" style of the body.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Have to pay to return. Couldn't even zip Ordered a large based on the size chart. couldn't even start to zip. disappointed because now there are no more and I have to pay to ship it back! I love the coat and style but please re-vamp your sizing chart to be accurate to your products!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Color portrayed inaccurately The jacket appears to be more hot pink than red. I was pretty disappointed as it was advertised as ruby red.
Date published: 2017-03-11
Rated 2 out of 5 by from fit is small... I ordered the Women's Pardon My Trench Rain Jacket. I am normally a l/xl depending on the brand. This jacket, in a xl, fit tightly around the mid section, whereas it would have been uncomfortable to wear. I ordered the larger size to accommodate a layer, alas it was tight with just a tshirt. Returning.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Coat This rain jacket is perfect. It long enough to cover my booty but without restraining your ability to move around. Quality is great with zipper, snap buttons and a belt. It's stylish and functional.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The perfect trench It was perfect, right out of the package. Great to wear in a light rain. It will be my everywhere travel coat. It's roomy enough to layer, great zipper pockets and quite long sleeves. I have to roll the cuff up , but it still looks fine. I love having a zipper as well as snaps and a belt that can't get lost. Great job Columbia!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rain coat Love it, it wasn't what I thought I ordered, but I sure have enjoyed it! Keeps me dry and warm

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great styling, but a bit too snug Was excited about this jacket as the style is really nice and I especially liked the color. Disappointed that it was just a bit too snug on my ample bust (40DDDD). Generally I avoid plus sizing because my shoulders are narrow, so the garments look like oversized tents on me, but I would have given this one a second chance if the "Cypress" color had been offered in the 1X. Dang!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor in the rain I bought this jacket in June for a trip to Paris. It worked ok for that trip because it didn't rain much. It is now December and the jacket is falling apart after wearing it 4 times and washing it once. The material in the armpit area is disintegrating and crumbling. Also, I just took the coat on a trip to New Orleans where it rained every day and I've gotten soaked through. When I took the coat off, my arms and entire chest were damp after a 5-minute walk through moderate rain, and the coat was completely zipped up and my hood was up. The coat dries fast, but that doesn't help when my cotton shirt is soaking wet. I do NOT recommend this product for anything except a windbreaker or something to wear in a light sprinkle. I already have to buy something else after only 6 months of light use. Horrible. I expected more from a Columbia product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Needed! I lost my London Fog raincoat somewhere along the way and have been looking for a stylish replacement that would not require the surrender of my first born son as payment! I have not used it yet, but it is nicely made and fits well. I did think the lining might be softer, but it's acceptable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Singing in the rain I loved my old raincoat but had to retire it...permanently. I ordered this one online and am more than pleased with the fit and color. Can't wait until it rains!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Dry Commuter I commute via bike, bus, train, and foot 5 days a week. This jacket allows me to do all of those in comfort and style. It has been great for those windy and rainy days in the Windy City. The waist is a little high on me, but works well. I love that the waist tie is attached, or else it surely would have been lost by now. The olive green color is neutral and attractive. I didn't want another black coat to "go with everything," so I purchased a green coat that goes with everything. I love this coat, and I'm proud to own another Columbia product.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Thin fabric, poor fit I was very disappointed with this coat. I can't believe I paid $100 for it! The fabric is very thin and cheap, and it fit me poorly. The arms are strangely long. It was tight around the middle for me - I am 5'5" and 155 pounds and ordered a large so it seems to run small. I didn't test it in the rain since I'm going to return it. But I can't imagine it would keep wind and water out - maybe it would and it's just because it's so thin and cheap feeling that I think that. Anyway, this coat doesn't seem to be the quality I've come to expect from Columbia and I'm returning it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great jacket I was looking for a light durable rain jacket with style and this is definitely perfect! Very comfortable and easy to drive in.
Date published: 2016-02-18
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not my favorite My first impression was disappointment in the jacket's outside material and I had thought the jacket would be warmer than it is. However, I really like the rain and stain repellent features. Although not my favorite jacket, I decided to keep it to have during our rainy spring season.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Bought this jacket for my wife and she LOVES IT! Fits just right and actually keeps her dry in the rain. The water actually beads up and runs off, unlike a lot of other rain coats nowadays. She really likes the extra length as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for a down pour Purchased this rain jacket for the purpose of heavy and humid rain in NOLA during the summer months . Also, in preparation for Mardi Gras should it be rainy. The purple color is perfect and beautiful. The fit is slender in the stomach which limits bulky layering unless you go a size bigger.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Shapely and good length to keep the rain away Good length, comes down to hips and the belt makes it more shapely than usual rain jackets. It's very lightweight. Hood has a peak at front to keep rain off face which is great. I wasn't crazy about the color, it's like a very dark purple, I would have preferred it in pink or red but only available at the time in purple or black. I was thinking of going up a size so I could wear a sweater under it but the size runs slightly big so plenty of room in your usual size. I would highly recommend this

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great rain jacket My sister and I both have this jacket. We bought them for a trip to the Costa Rica and to visit the rain forest almost 3 years ago. It is stylish, slimming, and lightweight. We are both size 6, but were size 8 when we first got the jackets. It fit nicely before and still fits well, but slightly looser. She lost hers so I bought her another one recently in navy. We are both very happy with them and wear them often for windbreakers and/or rain jackets. Mine occasionally gets a little wrinkled, but will hang out if left on a hanger overnight. I'm told it is rain resistant, but has always worked for me in the rain. I would certainly buy another.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Had Different Expectations I am not sure what I was thinking, but I thought this would be lined. It's like a plastic poncho. I haven't worn it yet, but I would never pay full price for this item. It's cute though...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great lightweight jacket Perfect to wear over a sweater in the fall. Packs easy and nice pocket zippers as well as Velcro tabs to adjust tightness in sleeves. The waiste belt is secure in back so no worries that it will slip off !
