Many pockets to carry items This is very well made shorts BUT the sizing is ALL wrong. Some are too small and some are too large within ONE SIZE. I tried on many pairs in the store with a very nice salesperson. I was looking at the 9" size 8, 3 pairs are too large and 2 pairs are too small. Sizing for these garments really need quality control because the range is one size too big or too small. And I had a similar short from Columbia that I loved. But unable to buy this due to the sizing. Finally I tried the 5" size 8 and was able to found 2 that fits after trying on 4 pairs. What happened? May 22, 2013
Great hiking or outdoor activity shorts I like the adjustable drawstring inside the waistband. The pockets are functional and handy if you are hiking or fishing, etc. and need places to carry things like sunscreen, phone or other small items. April 26, 2013
River wear Great on rafting trip quick drying. Love this short. Runs small I bought an 8 usually take a 6. Other reviews said get 2 sizes up but I found one was fine as the waist has adjustment built in. August 5, 2012
Too Small! Quality is there but the sizing is off! I ordered a size 12 thinking it would be perfect and it fit like a size 10. I had to return it. Calling Customer service is very helpful in choosing the correct size! August 4, 2012

nice shorts, but run small I like that these have a 9" inseam (great for biking and hiking) and that there are snaps at the waist instead of buttons. However, although I'm a consistent size 14, these are too small in the seat. I'll try the 16, but think it might be too big in the waist. Pity, since I love the quick wicking fabric.
