It's about time As I have seen so many other customers say that they like the quality of the fabric, it is so durable. The pockets are roomy, the length is not too long, not too short, just right for sporting events. I myself like the higher waist and that is very hard to find in clothing today. I wish that you would keep a larger inventory on hand for customers to order and a wider color selection to choose from. It seems that my size is a very popular, therefore you don't have any in stock for me to order. Please keep more in stock! May 9, 2013
Good casual short! Really like these shorts.The fit and length is good.The fabric has some weight, so even the white shorts have good coverage.Another nice feature -they come up a bit higher on the waist than most current styles so they are comfortable if you are active.Probably not the best look if you are going to tuck a top in for fashions sake- would probably have a "Mom jean" look .Also like how they come out of the dryer and are not REALLY wrinkled like a lighter weight cotton would be. Love the fit These are my favorite style of shorts and I have worn them for the last 5 years. They are comfortable and sturdy. I especially like the little bit of elastic at the waist that is missing from most shorts. I have a small waist by comparison to my hips so with these there is no "gap" and the shorts look good even without a belt. December 17, 2012
This product is my favorite kind of shorts. I always am satisfied with any of my Columbia purchases. The quality is always better that average. They wear so well and look good years later. The fit is always good and the shorts that I love have plenty of pockets, which is important to me. They are easy to care for throw them in the wash then into the dryer. The lenght is just how I like it, no too short, but not Burmuda length either. November 18, 2012
XS vs. S is a big difference I love these shorts. Sturdy. Great pockets for a PE teacher--can hold my cell phone, sunglasses, reading glasses, student pass pad, clip my id badge, waistband can hold my key clip and heavy walkie talkie without puling my pants down! Just be aware that the size difference between XS and S is alot--I need to line dry my XS so they don't shrink, and I keep trying to shrink my size Small in the dryer! October 13, 2012

This product is definitely made to fit a "mature" woman!! I love these shorts - the waist fits AT THE WAIST, which I have been looking for forever, it seems. I wanted a very comfortable hiking/walking short that fit at the waist and was a nice, discreet length, but not too long to hinder leg movement. I also wanted an elastic waist and lots of pockets. These shorts are everything I was looking for and more. Thanks so much for making a short that doesn't "fit below the waist", and for remembering that a woman with a woman's figure still likes to get out and be active. Great Fit Surprised at how well the product fit. IMPORTANT to follow the fit guidelines and measurements as I ended up ordering Small instead of Medium (which I normally would order). Perfect fit I love pockets and these shorts have them--side pockets, flap pockets for a cell phone or credit card, rear zip pocket. The fit is good, they are very comfortable. Besides the above items, they wash beautifully & no shrinkage. I love these because I can stuff ID, drivers license & credit cards in the closed pockets & not have to carry a purse. My only complaint is that they no longer are made in denim. I have 2 previously purchased pairs in denim & I really liked them. These are really great for an all around pair of shorts. Lots of pockets I purchased these shorts for hiking and travel. The pockets are deep, which prevents items from falling out when you change positions, which comes in handy. They are well constructed of a heavy weight fabic and the fit is comfortable. I am very pleased with this product. September 1, 2012

Excellent product These have become my favorite shorts. I now have 3 different colors. They fit well and are incredibly comfortable. We camp often and go to sporting events often and I love the pockets. I am able to take everything I need. The pockets are big enough that I don't feel I will lose my things. They are long enough to cover the important parts, without being so long that I may as well be wearing capris. August 30, 2012
Lots of Pockets! I use these shorts for work in a greenhouse nursery. There are more than enough pockets to carry my phone etc. The length is perfect for easy movement, but also long enough to be conservative enough to wear while at work dealing with the public. I appreciate the flat front with a little bit of stretch in the back waistband. These would also be great hiking shorts. August 24, 2012

Product was great until a month later... I ordered a few pairs of these shorts several years ago and was very happy with them, they lasted several years under severe scrutiny. I decided to order a few more pairs but it seems these are much cheaper than the shorts I bought a few years ago. After a month I already have a hole in one pair since the fabric seems much thinner. In addition, the zipper has failed on a different pair after only a month of use. I consulted the return policy and it looks like it expires after a month...guess I have to see if I can fix it myself. August 19, 2012
Great fit These shorts are the perfect length and fit for this active 55 year old. I purchase Columbia shorts exclusively because of the quality and durability and because they are neither too long nor too short for a 5' 1" woman. There are plenty of pockets without adding bulk. pockets galore I love all the pockets this shorts provides. Two deep pockets with 2 shorter velcro pockets on top, a zipper pocket on the rear, and a pocket on the right hip with elastic top as a closure(great for keeping your cell phone close at hand). The material keeps its shape with a little elastic in the back waist.Price is a little on the pricey side. August 6, 2012
Great shorts! These are attractively styled shorts that are comfortable to wear and are made of a quality fabric. I have them in three colors. Really like them and will buy more of them. In fact, these are the most comfortable shorts I own as the ones I used to buy in department stores are made for people who have no shape at all. Excellent Short for Outdoor Activity! I specifically ordered this short because I had a pair in the past and loved them. I have recently joined a women's shooting team and this short went with me to the competition. I love the variety of pockets and specifically their locations. Still love these shorts I've had a couple previous pairs of these shorts for years. I especially loved the ones in denim fabric that I wore until they wore out. They are great for hiking and just about anything. Tough and comfortable is how I would describe them. No big gaps at the back of the waistband either. Nice deep front pockets. Great Fit - Great Wear The Women's Brewha II Short fits like it should - for a women's figure. It's sized so comfortably in the waist and hips that I am ready to take that 20 mile hike. The material moves with the most strenuous motions and retains it's new look with multiple washing. Love the hooks and velcroed pockets. I feel like a girl scout again - and I'm just turning 70. OH - must tell you that my 81 year old hubby says that this is the first pair of shorts I've worn in a long time that show off my good looking gams to their best advantage! Columbia did a bang up job on the design, sizing contours and material. I bought two pairs at regular price - watching to see if they go on sale so I can scoop up another two to four more! Finally shorts at my waist Almost ten or more years ago I bought Columbia Shorts that rode at my waist. I got tons of compliments and unfortunately none of us could find an equal in comfort, quality and fit. FINALLY - I can buy new shorts. These fit well and while I thought the material would be a bit heavier then I normally like - they are surprisingly more comfortable then I expected. They look great too. Great all around shorts My husband and I spend 2 to 3 days a week doing all kinds of outdoor activities, so, I have been looking for a comfortable, versatile pair of shorts for quite some time. I had old favorites that have simply worn out. After many disappointments I found these shorts. The fabric is soft yet thick enough to keep their shape. The fit is flattering and made for a woman. Size is on the small side I ordered a small which is 4-6. It seemed that the shorts were a size 4. So, if you wear a 6 in shorts get a medium. I sent them back an ordered a medium. I will let you know how the medium fits. March 11, 2012

Great comfort & great looking shorts I recently purchased 2 pairs of the Women's Brewha II Shorts and I am extremely happy with both! They are very comfortable, great quality, and great looking. I do a lot of biking and walking around and these shorts are perfect for both. The only slight negative I can say is that the inseam is a bit too long on one of the pairs I purchased, but it is in no way uncomfortable or unflattering (at least not to me). I would definitely recommend purchasing these shorts and plan on purchasing another pair in the near future. February 3, 2012

How to measure
- Chest/Bust: Measure at the fullest part of the chest, under the armpits and over the shoulder blades, keeping the tape measure firm and level.
- Waist: Measure around natural waistline, allowing tape measure to sit comfortably.
- Hips: Measure around the fullest part of your hips.
- Sleeves: Start at the center back of your neck and measure across the shoulder to the elbow and down to the the wrist. Round up to the next even number.
- Inseam: Measure from the top of the interior leg to the bottom of the ankle.
