Women’s Sierra Summette™ Shorty Lace Boot is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 23.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but not ideal for walking on snow unless packed I had a previous version of this model from about 6 or 7 years ago, which I LOVED, so I ordered them again. This model is okay, don't like them as much mostly because the boots are quite firm/structured (more of a hiking or work boot fit). The limited flexibility of these boots makes it much harder to walk on snow unless it's packed down. I'm still working them in, so maybe this will change. I'm hoping it will! Lots of structure to the base of the boot as I mentioned, but considering this, there's not a lot of arch support. As someone who doesn't love bending over all the time, I miss the little hangy thing at the back of the boot that helps you to put on your boots. The previous model had this and it's missed, especially with the shorter boot....an interesting design decision. All in all I think the boots accurately reflect the description provided by Columbia, and I think they will be great for shoulder season when there is a little bit of snow on the ground but a hard surface (gravel, pavement, trail, packed snow). The grip is good, they seem like they will be waterproof, and they're true to size. I like the cushiony/fur bits around the top.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Miss Shaped Winter Boot Satisfied with boots but then when I looked closely, one boot was wider than the other. Both boots were sized the same 8.5. Boots returned due to this!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Spiffy Very good rain boot. They are a little snug even w/a half size up and thin socks. I left the laces A little loose to accommodate, but they are not A slip on. The lining makes this a cozy boot and They are pretty comfortable in spite of the molded base of the boot. Functional for winter.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warm, waterproof, slightly snug I normally wear a size 9.5 or 10 shoe. I saw the reviews saying that this boot runs a bit small, and I wish I could have ordered the 10.5, but it was out of stock so I ordered a 10 (I think an 11 would have been overkill). Luckily, the boots fit. They are slightly snug, though; I can wear medium-cushion Smartwool socks but definitely wouldn't be able to wear any heavy-duty winter socks. The length isn't an issue - rather, the height of the foot area above my arch seems to be a little shallow. I'm hoping it loosens up a little bit with wear. Aside from the fit, the design and construction of the boot seem great. There is padding at the sides of the ankle area for additional support, the tread is nice and aggressive, and the rubber portion of the foot seems more than adequate to deal with snow, slush, and puddles.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Keeps feet warm, but uncomfortable for extended use Boots run small. I wear a women's size 8, but purchased a women's size 9, and they are very snug. Work very well for keeping feet toasty, but are uncomfortable when walking. Would not recommend these boots for hiking, or any long term use. Boots are heavy and cumbersome Good for the occasional snow, they have good traction.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These boots are amazing! I just moved to Wisconsin and I'm experiencing my first real winter. I typically don't write reviews but just had to share how amazing these boots are. I am naturally always cold but these boots keep my feet so warm! Even when I only have fleece-lined tights on. And that's with temperatures below zero. And I work outdoors! Plus they aren't as bulky as my other winter boots, so I don't feel like I'm wearing clown shoes. Highly recommend! Also, I ordered a half-size bigger and they fit perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Snow Boot These boots are great! I traded in my not so practical boots for them and will never go back. They are true to size, warm, lightweight and durable. I never have cold or wet feet. I love the grey and they look great too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable & Warm! I had to order a full size larger than I normally wear, even with thin socks....I wear a 10. Ordered a 10.5 and had to exchange for an 11.... but they are warm & comfortable! Love these boots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME Bootie LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! Very true to size... If you plan on wearing thicker socks. (which you won't need to with these) I recommend getting a size larger. I did and I don't regret it. I bought them from ordering just online and reading reviews so I felt it was important to leave one once I got mine!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Snow Boot This is a nice snow boot. I've been buying this same style of snow boot from Columbia for more than 10 years. I like Columbia because their products are usually very durable and last. I still have 2 pairs very similar to this one that are well worn and more than 8 years old but still have good tread. Over the years, this boot has gotten much lighter (which is nice#, but I would prefer the taller shin length to this year's shorter ankle style. I really need the taller length for when the snow gets high. Better yet - this would be great at knee length #but Columbia has never made them that tall that I know of#. I'm a 9.5 and really needed the 10, so I'd say they regularly run 1/2 size small #always have). This boot is very warm, very water proof, and with very good tread to avoid slips. Although I've looked, I haven't found as good of a snow boot anywhere else. And, I got it on sale!! Very happy with this purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Purchase I was looking for a boot that I could commute in and these are perfect! They work well with skirts/ dress pants / and jeans and are the perfect height!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm! Just had our first snow and I love these! I have to say the rubber part looks more brown in the picture than in person. It looks almost black in person, but I was okay with that. Also, depending on what thickness of sock I wore changed how this fit my foot (I know a sort of, "Well duh!"), the thinner the sock the more room I felt I had in the toe.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Durable but Tight These boots are very tight across the bridge of the foot. Which is deceiving by how wide the foot bed of the boot looks. I expected the boot to slip on and I would walk around with comfort and ease. As I have read from other commentors even on Amazon. The boots are very stiff and do not have any orthotic support. For the $80.00 price tag I rather go buy a Keen or other competitive brand for this winter go to boot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing! I just walked over a glacier (today at Calafate) and survived a blizzard at Argentina (yesterday at Ushuaia). These boots protected my feet as promised, and resisted very low temperatures and water without letting me get wet or cold. An amazing product!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not yet tried I bought these boots on sale for next winter. I love the look and feel. As for quality/ruggedness, I can't rate that yet since I won't be wearing til next winter

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Looks and fits good but is not warm This boot fit and felt great BUT it is definitely NOT for cold weather! It was rated for -25 so I bought 3 pairs( for my 2 daughters and myself) to go snowmobiling in. All of our feet were freezing before we even left and the temp wasn't in the negatives!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from True to it's description Warm, comfortable although a little snug and truly waterproof. Great for winter dog walking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great winter boots These boots are great for walking in snow & soft ice. They are warm with thin socks & not too hot with thick socks. They look nice with dress pants or jeans & I can add a pair of gators to use the boots in deeper snow. Love them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Snow Boot I loved this boot and the grey color. I had been looking for a shorter snow boot for some time for walking in cold/snowy weather and ease of getting on and off. The tread is excellent, the boot is warm and the water proof bottom is wonderful. I like the fact that these boots came in half sizes. Unfortunately, I normally wear a wide, and this boot was not quite wide enough even though it had a nice round toe. Regretfully, I had to return it.
