Women's Splash A Little™ Rain Jacket is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 112.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great jacket, but I recently was treated to a visit to the Columbia Outlet, and since I had lost so much weight, I was happy to get a new fleece and a rain jacket. I love the new rain jacket, but the sleeves are too long. I inquired if they made petite sizes, but was told they do not. I took the fleece in with my sewing machine, but the rain jacket is harder to figure out how to deal with (other than rolling up the sleeves). Why don't you sell petite sizes?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost Perfect As other reviews have said, the product runs small, so order a size up. I'm normally a medium, but the large fits me well. I love almost everything about this jacket. The fit is feminine, the protection from rain, with the waterproof fabric and hood, is excellent. My only complaint, and why I give it four stars instead of five, is that the zipper isn't that easy to use. It's not smooth and usually takes several tries to get it to catch. Still, I like the coat enough that I would buy it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I was looking for My daughter bought this for a trip and I loved it so much I bought one. I'm 5'8" and it fits perfectly and keeps me dry. It's also very stylish.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Looking Raincoat I ordered a small which I would normally wear it was too small. Medium fits very nice. Love the long length in the back. Nice tailored fit will wear it all the time rain or shine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great looking rain coat I love that this raincoat is longer. It is a great style to wear to the office. I wish the hood was bigger and would extend further on the forehead. If you have a pony tail the hood is too short, leaving your head exposed to rain. It is true to size. I am 5'1'' and weight 105lbs. I purchased the size XS. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Rain Jacket This jacket is perfect for those rainy day outings! It's slightly fitted and is a perfect length to keep you dry. I love the color choices.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Jacket Overall I am a 5'10 woman and bought this jacket for walking around in NYC where I live. I love the quality of the jacket itself. The only problem I have is that with my tall height, the waist doesn't hit me at my waist. So If you're of average height this jacket is probably perfect, if you're taller it might be good to note that the waist will be high on you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What we needed Needed a hooded rain jacket to layer under while living in London. Ordered a size larger than needed and it's just right! Has handled the London rains from the get go!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Truly Waterproof!!!! I bought this as a replacement for an almost identical coat that I've had for over ten years. I had worn that jacket all over the world and in all kinds of weather including torrential downpours. I just got tired of seeing myself in photos wearing that same jacket. I love the fit, the color, and the functionality. I fully expect to wear this one another ten years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality for price Functional yet stylish jacket. Lining provides good comfort as I have a some rain coat without any lining and moisture build up inside makes you feel wet. This jacket doesn't do that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely Love It I was looking for a windbreaker and also water repellent outfit for San Francisco weather. Most jackets I see have standard length. I want something slightly longer for morning chills but not too long. This jacket is very well made. The material is very solid and so when I wear it, it doesn't stick to your skin. It is really breathable and fits me very well. (I am 5'6" and 125lb). It has been half a year since I bought it. It is a jacket that I always wear both going to work and going on vacation. I want to write this review to share my experience. So if you are looking for an outfit that you can use in different occasions, I highly recommend this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Perfect Raincoat I LOVE this coat. As a woman, the darts in the back make it fit you around the waist without feeling constricted. Very light material. It won't keep you warm, but the technology keeps you dry in a downpour. Would DEFINITELY recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rain jacket I need a wind breaker and rain jacket and this one will serve both purposes. Cuts down on too many items traveling. I wore it in a down pour and was pleased I did not get, nor feel wet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very satisfied Lives up to claim of breathable and waterproof. Recently worn during all day rain, kept me perfectly dry and comfortable. It does fit small. I needed a larger size. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just the perfect thing Simple clean lines and water resistant as promised. This is a functional jacket that works well with jeans or something more dressy. I bought a Large based on the reviews and it fits well. The sleeves are slightly long for me but are easily turned up. I like being able to pull the cuffs down over my hands. This is a nice little jacket for the price.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Extremely, Extremely Small I generally wear a small in just about everything, while reviews indicated to go up a size as the jacket ran small. That is an understatement! I could barely move my arms when I tried it on, and by the way, I have never tried on a coat that did not fit my arms, barring a very small XXS. In fact, the jacket is so snug; there was no reason even to attempt zipping it. This is a no-go, and I am extremely disappointed. I have never had any problem with Columbia Sportswear and must say I am simply shocked.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful. Feels like a brand new tent. This item came really fast and it has been raining a lot, very glad I purchased it. Excellent price too. U can fit a light sweater underneath too:-) I feel like an expensive new tent wearing this coat. ;-) (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great jacket! I am outdoors a lot, even during the rainy season and I am always looking for lightweight, waterproof jackets that can still look great even after many washes. This is another quality Columbia jacket to add to my collection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits Small I always wear a Medium, but in this jacket, I definitely need a Large. It is small in every way including the sleeve length, hood coverage, and the way it fits around my body. I am 5 foot 5 and 150lbs.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Disappointed Coat looks very good but the sizing is way too small. Couldn't get arms in sleeves comfortably and front didn't close. Wear L or Xl. Ordered XL and too small.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this raincoat I bought this jacket to use as only a raincoat. BUT it has turnout to be my favorite coat for my winter in Nor Cal valley. The blue is very pretty. The style is very versatile. The length is tunic length, covers my back side well. It's light weight for cool-rainy days. Yet warm enough with a fleece underneath. I bought a large so I can wear a fleece under. I usually wear a medium but wanted a little extra room. I am 5'10" 140.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Feminine Rain Jacket I've been looking for a waterproof jacket that is longer in length and with a feminine fit. This is the jacket! This one has zippered pockets, including an inside breast pocket, plus a hood. The material feels good, is breathable and doesn't "make noise" like many other raincoats. The price is great too. As noted, it runs a bit small. I'm 5'5", 130 lbs with a 34D chest. I normally wear a Small, but in this jacket I needed a Medium. The sleeves are a bit long, but it otherwise fits perfect. Thanks Columbia!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfection This is my first time buying a Columbia jacket and definitely not the last. I bought this jacket for an upcoming backpacking trip to Scotland. I wanted something light weight that I could layer with. I've been testing it out this winter and I'm amazed at how warm it is with layers. Just wore it in 17 degree temps in Utah with just a tshirt and sweater layered and my core stayed so warm! The length is great and I love the feminine design with tapered waist and a slight flair at bottom. It has an adjustable zipper so you can still be comfortable when sitting by unzipping from bottom. I am 5'4" and about 140lbs with a bust of about 36-38" and I bought a large which has left enough room for layers without swimming in it without layers. Sleeves are a little long but I just rolled cuff and it's fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Raincoat! I bought this rain jacket to go to Ireland - it was perfect! I love the hood and adjustable cuffs. It's roomy without being too big and has a nice shape. The pockets are roomy. It really protected me against the Irish "liquid sun"!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Order a size up if you want to layer I wanted a shell that gave me the option to layer in colder weather. I'm 5'4, 130lb and the medium was too small. I should've ordered a large. I can zip it up but it won't be comfortable to wear over layers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my Splash Rain jacket I was concerned when I read reviews about it fitting slightly smaller. For me the fit was perfect. I didn't want to have extra layers so it was great! Love the colour and the length is what I was looking for. :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Flattering design This coat is flattering but is cut for small framed women of any size. I usually wear size small tops but because of the reviews, I ordered the medium. Even with the medium the whole torso and sleeves are snug without any extra layers. I do love the coverage of this longer style and the overall effect is good looking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from After 5 Years This jacket is a machine. I'm a rainwater engineer in Seattle and a daily bus commuter. I had a stiff gortex jacket before this and the lining cracked after a year or two. This jacket has held up for almost 5 years under serious use. It packs very small for camping, hiking, and airline carry-on, and sill looks sleek enough for my business meetings. I'm tall and curvy (5'9", 160lbs, 34DD, long arms) and the large fits perfectly. Not baggy on its own, but enough room for a sweater or sportcoat in the Seattle winter. Alas, the lining on the shoulders has finally bit the dust and I'm getting wet, so I am back for round 2.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Rain jacket I finally found the perfect rain jacket. I'm a large and it fits perfectly. Plenty of room in the bust and hip area where others fit snugly. It's long enough to cover my backside, even when sitting. The hood is adjustable so I can get a good fit that actually stays on my head, which has been a big problem with other jackets. I really like that it has snaps and a zipper so it can be quickly closed if needed. The pockets are roomy and zip to keep my personal items safely inside. So far I have worn it a number of times in heavy rain and have stayed completely dry. Having been through a number of other inferior rain jackets, I highly recommend this jacket if you are looking for a waterproof shell. Keep in mind that it is not heavily lined so it would not work well as a winter coat.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great lightweight rain jacket Usually get medium, ordered lg and it fits w extra room, but still flattering. Sleeves too long, need to roll up once.(One star off) Beige color w subtle pattern very nice, coat is packable. I like that it is slightly longer in the back. Seems waterproof and breathable with limited use so far. I'm happy!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far so good Love the shape and color. Nice weight. Keeps you warm but still feels like it breathes. I went with one size up of what I would typically wear so I can wear this jacket over a sweater.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Second time I've purchased this product! My girls and I all have this jacket and it has served us all well! It keeps you dry even in a downpour and it looks great. The product 'parts' - the zipper and snaps, hood, and velcro wrists - are flexible and handy, the hood is a great addition and helps keep rain off your neck - we all love our jackets!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Cut funny I wear a 10. I ordered a large which was supposed to be for a 12-14. I am normally proportioned and this product is too tight in the chest and armholes. It is not "cut" properly. If I were reordering, I would order an Extra Large.
Date published: 2016-06-01
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect in Every Way! Light enough, right length, can adjust sleeves, hood stays on & material is soft (can't believe it's waterproof)!! Just tested in constant mist & held up well without umbrella. I usually use coupons so cost was a concern, however, I am very very pleased! Highly recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for my needs! I love this jacket. It's exactly what I had in mind when I began shopping for the item! However, I was surprised to find it ran so small that in order to layer a sweater I had to move from my normal sizing of "medium/12" to extra large in this garment. Only negative is the length of the sleeves; for average build one needs to cuff or have altered.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buy Only Columbia Jackets Love your jackets. I only buy Columbia. They are comfortable and waterproof. Moving from Chicago, I gave away all my other jackets I had. I love the inside security pocket. I always look for that feature and that's the jacket I buy. Keep up the good work. Thank you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rain jacket Ordered this online, and wore it on a visit to Seattle. It kept me dry and fits very nicely. The only issue I have, is the zipper gets stuck a little.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Native Oregonian Being a native Oregonian I am used to the rainy weather. This coat was great because it has plenty of pockets, arm length longer (and I prefer that), feminine fit...LOVE that! Love the hood and that it can be adjusted, length is perfect. Purchased a large so that I could layer and even without layers it doesn't look like I'm wearing my husbands too large ski jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from raincoat My friend has this exact coat and I loved the way it fit and looked. It will be a great addition to the Columbia jackets I already own. Perfect for the rainy weather and lightweight enough for spring/fall weather. I really like the longer length, which gives better coverage in inclement weather.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE this jacket A great lightweight rain jacket! I recently moved to the Pacific NW, so needless to say I was in need of a high-quality, waterproof jacket. I've worn this out in the rain a few times and it is completely waterproof. It's very lightweight but can easily accommodate a sweater if it's a little chilly out. The hood also completely covers your face which is great. I usually wear a small (5'4", 115lbs) and the small fit really well. The bottom seems a little tighter around the legs than is common, but I went on a pretty long hike and had no issues going up and down hills.
Date published: 2016-01-18
Rated 2 out of 5 by from NOT for real rain! Living in the upper left corner of Oregon and spending lots of outdoor time in all seasons, I would love to find a breathable raincoat. This isn't it. Soaks through the shoulders after 20 minutes and EVERYWHERE after a longer time. Love the design and the cut; the quality is fine, and it will get you across a parking lot or two but don't count on it for the trail.
Date published: 2016-01-15
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too short for rain! Legs still get wet Columbia, why in heavens don't you make longer raincoats for women? We don't like to get our legs wet above the knees! This definitely keeps the elements out as far and wind and rain, and the hood is very functional but please make some more longer lengths! And yes, be sure to go up a size if you have normal hips.
Date published: 2016-01-13
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortably dry all day! I read some of the other reviews before purchasing this product and wondered if I would have some of the same problems (zipper difficulty, hood having no cinch so it would fall when windy). Not at all! The zipper can be a little fickle but I appreciate that you can unzip from the bottom for comfort when sitting. Additionally, the cinch and Velcro adjustment in the hood is perfect; there's even a little brim to help keep drips out of your face. It's lightweight so very easily stowed away into a larger purse or bag. That being said, I did go up one size so that I could layer underneath for warmth if needed. But, it doesn't end up being too baggy without layers because it has somewhat of a more feminine shape than just straight down like men's wear. I love the pocket placement and the little one on the inside. I have stayed completely dry during record rainfall in Portland, OR. The only thing I find myself wishing it had at times are zippered armpit vents as rain gear can get a little muggy on the inside. Thank you :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from perfect rain jacket light, comfy, modern fit. love the way the jacket fits. I use it as a commuter jacket
Date published: 2015-12-23
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice light-weight jacket The color is beautiful and the fit is small like the other reviews say. I also ordered this jacket in the cream and moss in a size small because I wasn't sure what size/color my daughter would like. She is a size 2/4 and 5'7". I was afraid the medium would be too big but I think it is going to be the right size. The big difference between the small and medium is the length, which was a positive. The zipper on this particular jacket was hard to get started; however, the other two jackets connect and zip easily.
