Women’s Take To The Streets™ Trench - Extended Size is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 33.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great above freezing I love this jacket. I live in Chicago and needed something lighter than my down filled for the days that the temp creep above freezing. This is perfect. Great in the rain too. Hood fully covered my head.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Could use improvement The sleeves are too small or tight and the belt is not long enough to tie.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Same issues as others I read the reviews and I should have listened. Overall the coat is okay. The two issues that I read in other reviews plague me with my coat. The two way zipper broke, the bottom of the zipper when I zipped it up to open the bottom would not go back down to undo the coat and it broke during my struggle to get it it back down to open so I could take the coat off without having to step out of it (reminded me of disagreeable zippers from back in the day of my childhood). It still does up but sometimes splits at the bottom because a piece of the metal came off the zipper itself. Also, the belt is too short, just like others have said, it is true and it sticks out kind of looks weird. I generally love Columbia clothing. Have purchased several pieces over the years. Have needed to buy larger sizes unfortunately and am happy to still have Columbia as a choice, the quality is general good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this coat! I have been looking for a coat like this for a long time! It is the perfect weight, length, the sleeves are long enough and I love that it doesn't have velcro on the cuff. I am very happy that the belt is removable. It is very hard to find a product like this in stores in the size that I need. I have usually ended up buying a men's jacket to get the arm length & width. I was a little worried about buying it online & not trying on but this coat is perfect! I might have to get it in the India Ink too!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Almost....but not quite I really wanted to like this jacket. I've been looking for a long softshell for some time now and thought this might be the one. Sadly, it was not. The arms were too snug to wear anything but a thin layer underneath and the belt was kind of short. I also think the waistline was strangely high. Columbia usually gets the plus-sizing right, but this was a miss. Bring back the Sweet As Long Softshell Hooded Jacket please! (Best softshell EVER!)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Returning for *Smaller* Size (Plus Sizing) I ordered one size larger (3X) because the reviews said it ran small. NOT by my reckoning. I have a 47.5-inch bust and at 5'4" and weigh 195 lbs. The 3X was huge on me, even with a heavyweight sweatshirt and 1-layer plastic rainjacket underneath. I measured 12" extra fabric in the chest and belly. It hangs well, even at this size. A 2X would be wearable (with sweatshirt+) using the belt. Returning for a 1X. Lining, FYI, is minimal flocked backing--perfect for 3-season layering in Seattle, though not in summer. Brown is a dull deep brown but pretty. No idea how waterproof it is because I'm returning it for replacement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Style and function I LOVE this jacket!! It's very pretty and flattering to my lumpy parts. It's long enough to cover my backside. The color is so neutral. Blocks the wind superbly here in windy CO. I would buy it in other colors if they were available. It does run a tad small so size up--easy enough. It's just absolutely perfect in every way. I have MANY Columbia jackets but this is for sure my new fave.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from One complaint This jacket is great like all other Columbia jackets I have ever owned. The sizing is true to size. XL fits me too snug since some recent weight gain so I opted for the 1X and it is perfect. My complaint is the belt. It is WAY too short. When I knot it the two ends stick straight out on each side and it just looks silly. If the belt was longer they would hang down properly. Drives me crazy every time I wear this jacket. If you zip or snap the coat you basically have to use the belt or you have it hanging on your sides. UGH

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pros/ Cons/ other This is a great product! The inside keeps you warm and cozy and the outside looks great. Pros: I am 5'9 typically a size 22/24 I liked that it is long enough to cover my rear. It looks great with jeans for the outdoors and even greater with slacks for work (professional looking). Cons: Kind of a tight squeeze on the arms, I have big arms and they are snugged in there. The strap is not long enough to tie nicely, once I tied it the remaining strap was about two inches long (looked funny). Additional: if you are looking to layer get a size bigger! Untied strap still looks nice. If you are hippie get a size bigger. I was iffy about the color mineshaft, but it's gorgeous!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not a bad jacket Great jacket for running around town. I found it ran a little big on me, but since I've been wearing layers, it doesn't bother me. The belt is a little short. Overall, not a bad jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it I love this jacket it's a great fit, super soft and warm. It works well with layers for extra warmth. I bought this with a fleece and together, it's great for PA winters.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfort and Function I've worn the coat quite a bit lately when it's above -5 degrees C. It has a soft, comfy lining making it possible to stay warm without a lot of extra weight. I think it will be too warm for April temperatures in Ontario, but perfect as a light winter coat from November to March. The zippered pockets are nice and deep. The fit tends to be generous so if you are between sizes, I would recommend going down. The only reason it's not a 5-star for me has to do with the zipper. It often takes a few tries to get a good connection at the bottom. Once you find the sweet-spot with the zipper, it seems easier.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Ended up returning it The waist line is very high and the belt is too short. I was torn between the XL and the 1X and went with 1X based on the size chart and it was too boxy and not feminine enough. I would have exchanged it for the XL if the belt were longer or the waist line was lower but I ended up finding another jacket I liked better and just returned this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy Customer I love this trench coat. It's comfortable if you are in a car driving. Perfect for in-between very cold winter and waiting for the spring weather. I think I'm going to get a lot of wear with this coat. It's also a little dressy. I know some people criticized the tie belt but I think it's perfect length.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great length and warmth for the winter! I was sceptical this jacket would look good on me. Especially since I chose to size up to a 3x, as I wanted to be able to layer under the jacket with sweaters and such. It was a little big in the shoulder/chest area at first, but with addition of the adjustable belt, it fits perfect! The length is fantastic, and I love how large the hood is. Overall, it's one of the best winter coats I've bought in years. Very happy with my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect coat! This coat took me from church, to work, to shopping, to waiting for the bus, to walking with my baby, to the park...I'm sure there are more uses, but I'm waiting to figure those out. Great for layering, and the hood and pockets are really warm. I really hope this comes in other colours in seasons to come!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The Fit I would recommend this item but it was not good for me. The 3X was a little tight. For a trench coat with no lining, one should be ablenough to wear a light Hoodie or sweater for not so cold days. Overall it was a good coat and I will order from Columbia again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent jacket I love this coat! I had a different version from another company that wore out and I didn't think I would find a replacement, but I love this one more! The length is great. The zipper is sturdy and the belt gives good shape. I only wish the belt sat lower as its too high up. Overall great coat.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect! I was unsure about buying a trench coat b/c I don't like belts, but I am so glad I did! The Mineshaft color is gorgeous! Is it Grey, is it Brown? I don't know and I like it! It does great in rain, just rolls right off. I even got a little dirt on it, but it comes off very easily without staining :-) I didn't get to wear it much before winter came, but I look forward to using it in the Spring! It covers my butt and thighs too which is helpful!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I wish the hood was removable but it's no bulky or big Love love Black jacket you can dress it up or just wear on a regular day. The fit is perfect and soft and warm on the inside

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice jacket Just what I was looking for, it's a nice light jacket for the mild winter that we had earlier in December. It's not heavy enough for January, but I suspect it will come in handy for spring. I ordered up a size first, based on reviews, and that wasn't really necessary, but ended up keeping the larger jacket to accommodate light layering underneath. While I adore the fleece lining for its warmth I do wish there was something a bit smoother inside, especially in the arms so that long sleeves wouldn't catch so easily, but this is a minor complaint. Also the zipper, as mentioned in other reviews can be quite fussy, especially when you're in a rush. but it's a minor flaw. I got the jackets in black and mineshaft. The black is true, but mineshaft, which I thought was grey, is sort of a grey-taupe, still a nice neutral, but not as grey as pictured, especially in some lighting. Overall I love this jacket! It's great for so many situations! Can't wait to wear it more in spring!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love love LOVE this coat! I'm so happy with this coat! I sized up 1 size with this purchase, which I typically do with coats so that if I'm wearing a sweater, it's still comfortable. The length is great, it fits across my chest and stomach perfectly. I feel that the upper arms are a LITTLE bit too tight, but not uncomfortable. I'm in Texas so I'm typically not wearing super thick sweaters, and this coat fit well over mine. I would probably feel a bit too restricted in the upper arms/armpits if I wore a very thick sweater with this coat. The overall quality is great. I feel that this coat will last me for years. Excellent purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from rain Trench coat Was very happy to finally get this coat, in black & might even order the grey as well. I had ordered at least 2 others from other companies that were such bad fits, it was a pleasant surprise when this was just right. Perfect for a Vancouver winter w/ the bonded fleece lining. The Logo is in black & on the sleeve not the chest so you are not a walking advertisement.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Rain and wind resistant Living in the Pacific NW one often encounters both rain and wind. This coat is good at keeping both at bay. I do agree with other reviewers that the belt is a tad too short to tie nicely, which makes it a challenge to make me look as though I have a waste, so the "potato sack" comment below makes sense to me. But I have to admit, I value comfort a bit higher than style. Also, I'd say that this is not an extremely warm coat - there is some insulating property with the way it's structured, but if the temps are going to be less than 40 degrees, I will add a sweater. Got it on sale and feel as though I received good value for my money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I wanted! I had recently taken my measurements and used those for the sizing- they were spot on when I got the coat. It is exactly what I wanted. A thin but warm jacket. Blocks the wind well and has a great shape for my fairly curvy frame!
Date published: 2015-12-20
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Belt loops/belt height I love the jacket so I am keeping it. I'm 5' 8" and found the belt loop at least 2" higher than my waist. It would be great if the loop was attached only on the bottom part of the loop giving it a more flexible fit for people of different height.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cozy and waterproof! I absolutely love this jacket! I wore it yesterday in the rain and I stayed warm and dry. It was about 6 degrees but I've also worn it on a day that it was closer to 1 degree and with an added cardigan I was absolutely warm enough. It's true to size and I love that the added belt makes it more flattering. I would have liked if the belt were a bit longer so I could make a nicer knot, but it's fine. I also love that the pockets have zippers and a fleece lining to keep your hands warm. The only other thing I want to mention is that the Columbia insignia is much darker than it appears in the picture. I bought the black jacket and the stitching is dark enough that you can barely see it. This is a nice feature if you plan on dressing up your black coat!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Exactly what I was looking for. I am exchanging for next size up, It was a little snug in the chest area, not the average chest size though. Otherwise possibly true to size? I felt that the belt could be a couple of inches longer, I like to tuck the belt ends in my pockets when my Jacket is not zipped, but that's just my personal preference.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ideal LOVE!!!!! Water beeds on it so I stay warm & dry. The simple silhouette and lack of bold branding means I can dress it up or down. It's perfect for our lower mainland (Vancouver area) weather.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice trench! Love the style of this coat. Long enough but not too long and the belt gives a nice shape. Nice and warm and weatherproof. Love it!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Meh.. It is ok. I'm size 22, 3x is too big. Too baggy. Color looked gray in picture, it is navy blue. I like gray. It is heavy if you are packing for traveling. The coat is really a nice coat, good quality. I don't think I'm going to keep it, because it looks like a blue potato sack with a pointy hood on me. I can't blame it all on the jacket, because I am somewhat shaped like a sack of potatoes. I thought it would be awesome, but it didn't look good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket but not red I ordered this jacket and received it withing few days. Very quick shipment and a nice jacket, that fit very well. My only disappointment is the color. It is much more coral than red.
