This is a little lighter than I expected so it needs layering if you really want to be warm but it fits comfortably enough that you can wear a top and light sweater underneath if you want-probably a thick sweater would be tight. I actually wear it in the place of a sweater indoors and it's great.

I am very impressed with the quality, fit and warmth of this product. I have an Icelandic horse that I ride year round and on the very cold mornings in the barn I have found this to keep my body heat working well! I'm anxious to wear it snowshoeing this winter also!

Fabric is too stiff, fits too snug
I'm not sure if I am going to wear this jacket very much, it is cut too snug to layer much under it & the fabric doesn't drape well as it is too stiff.

Wind D-Ny True to it's name
Wore this coat to a windy, cold football game and I did not get cold. This coat is very true to size and you cannot wear a lot of layers underneath it, but don't need to. Hopefully, the next design will have a hood though. Looks and feels good. Definitely a woman's hourly glass fit. Love it!

Actually wind proof!
I have been in love with Omni-heat technology since I first got a coat from Columbia that had it. I bought this fleece a while ago and just had the chance to use it. In 50 degree weather I was perfectly comfortable, borderline hot with this on and a thin button down underneath. I commute to work everyday via mass transit and spend up to 2 hours outside daily walking to various train stations. The material on the outside does not look or feel like a regular fleece. I like it better but if you are looking for the classic fuzzy feel of a fleece this one isn't for you. It is very wind proof and the collar comes up nice and high eliminating the need for a scarf. This jacket does run large though. I am 5' 7" and 155 pounds and the Medium is pretty loose on me. I could have taken a small but was too lazy to return it. Plus with the extra room I can wear bulky sweaters and blazers to work underneath and not feel cramped. Despite it feeling very roomy, in the mirror it still looks tailored to my body as if there isn't much excess space. Overall this jacket is fantastic!

I bought this jacket the other day and I absolutely loves it. We went to California to visit family and I brought it with to wear in the airport. Good thing too, it was freezing on the planes! But, it was nice and warm through our travels. When we came back to IN the weather had cooled off quite a bit, and I used it then as a light jacket and it was wonderful once again! I'm looking forward to wearing it through the fall. Definitely my new favorite.
