Rated 1 out of 5 by Pills after 1 month The jacket's fabric pilled so much that I am embarrassed to wear it out now. July 28, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by found what ive been looking for quality is superb, fits perfect, im 5'5 115 lbs, 36B, its light, but kept me warm even at 32f as long as i move, the omni heat would act, would get you very warm if you continue to move.. love the hood, and its removable feature, only thing i dont like is the metal buckle, it makes lots of sound, so when the coat is not zipped, i put the buckles inside the pocket.. washed it once, and zipped front face, dont want the omni heat reflective destroyed, and air fluff dried it, and it still looks and feel the same. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great coat I'm very happy with my coat. It fits perfectly . I m 6.1. So it's hard to find coat that suits me . Hope for more color next year June 10, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Runs really large I bought this jacket and put it in my closet. Guess I should have tried it on when I received it. It is way too big. I usually wear an extra large but I could almost fit 2 of me in this jacket. The quality and style of the jacket are excellent but unfortunatly I am not able to use this jacket or exchange it (outside of the exchange window). So lesson learned try it on when you get it. Wish I could exchange it. May 7, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice jacket I purchased a medium and I usually wear a size 8. I felt it was on the larger side, but it'll be good for layering. However the arms fit me perfectly as far as length. I don't like bulky jackets and this jacket was perfect for me! I'm not sure of how warm it is because we've had a really mild winter so I haven't been able to truly put it to the test. It is a casual coat, not dressy at all...okay for weekends, and trouser day. I didn't pay full price for it, and believe that my review would have been significantly different if I had, it's priced right at or under a hundred bucks!! April 13, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect jacket This jacket is all it says and more. I love it the fit, function and style. Sizing was true for me. March 23, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Exactly what I needed! I have been searching for a warm, hooded, fashionable trench coat for a long time. Finding all 3 things in a trench has been a challenge. The bonus to this is that is also warm! I was a little concerned about the level of warmth it would provide based on other reviews as well as my past experience with trench coats. But, I live in Oregon and we have plenty of cold rain. And I have yet to be cold in this! It fits perfectly and I can wear it over layers or thick sweaters. I have received multiple compliments on it as well. The ONLY thing I would say I would change on this if I could is that the hood is a little small. In Oregon, it really rains, so a generous hood is preferred. But I can live with it. March 21, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by My lucky day finding this coat I saw this coat on the website. Wanting to get the right size the first time I went to a Columbia store to find it. Lucky for me it was in stock. I'm 5'6", weigh 140lbs and bought the large. It is an attractive fit, keeps me warm on cold windy days and well made. It will last for years and I love it. March 20, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect For Me I have moved to central Florida. The winters are much milder than Oregon. I have a ski jacket. I needed a lighter weight coat for going out to eat, shopping etc. The length is longer than a jacket and the removable hood is good for rainy or windy days. March 20, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Meh This coat seems comfortable enough and of fair quality, however it was rather large on me. If I didn't use the belt it didn't have enough structure to be flattering. March 16, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Buy! I normally wear a medium or large. I ordered a medium and it's perfect. Very comfortable and cute. It's warm without being bulky. Love it! March 13, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Sending it back After reading the functionality of this jacket and I loved the looks of it online I decided to order it but now it's being shipped back. I am 5'5 117lbs with an athletic build so I ordered the small. The small fits and looks like a large on me. Not only was the size off but the zipper was nearly impossible to get up. It is a cheap plastic double zipper but it doesn't match up so you can zip it. The material of the jacket felt like it could be durable and keep me warm but unfortunately I won't get to test it outside due to the poor construction of the zipper. February 21, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very Cute It is as cute as it looks in photo. I was hoping it was a little thicker as I have been unable to find a dressier real winter coat to survive the winters of Minnesota. There is enough moving room to wear a zip up/pullover hoodie for extra heat which does help. I would buy again if I was given option to choose. February 18, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very good and worth to buy Style is great and it is worth to buy. I will re-order it again. February 16, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Winter Jacket for the Working Professional It's a great jacket because it's warm, long for when I choose to wear a dress to work, and the belt makes you look slim. It's great in the rain, snow, and for windy days. The only downside is that it's pretty heavy. February 10, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love it I love this jacket. I've been looking for a jacket like this forever. Fits me perfect. February 7, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Looks great on! I went by other's reviews and bought one size larger than I usually do. I am 5'5" and 150lbs. For me, the sleeves were longer than I prefer and just a bit too much overall room. I don't layer when I leave the house. The jacket looks great on, is comfortable with just the usual top on and I really like the option of removing the hood. I am ordering the M hoping the sleeves have a better length and maybe not quite so much extra room in the jacket. February 6, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by I love my jacket/coat This jacket is like coat, but is both, is sport and casual wear. And also really warm and so light, waterproof, I used it for snow. Just, I didn't like so much the color, It's not black brighter, is like black opaque. February 6, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by NO MORE SWEATERS FITS TRUE TO SIZE I CAN SIT DOWN AND MY ZIPPER WON'T SPLIT LOVE THE COLOR February 4, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Coat I've Owned Every single time I wear this coat I receive a compliment on it. It has the benefit of being stylish while also being very warm. This coat is not a light fall peacoat, it is a warmer winter jacket. Love that the wrists have cuffs to keep the cold air from blowing in. February 2, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by zenith trench A beautiful coat, little heavy for everyday wear. Too loose in the shoulders, too tight in the bust for layering January 29, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Columbia Trench Coat This lovely coat looks great and is light, yet very warm. I love it!! January 13, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Zipper Tried this on in store and fell in love with it, so I ordered it online that night. When I received it, the zipper was different, which was disappointing. The one in store wasn't a full length zip, and the one I got was. If it didn't unzip from the bottom whenever I sit down, I wouldn't care. But it's super warm and really adorable. December 30, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good gear Excellent protection against wind and cold December 20, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Favorite coat Things I love: Zips and/or buttons Trendy but classic print Shines on the inside Heavy Thin and not bulky Long for extra warmth Includes hood Sleeves have a hidden cuff on inside Soft, not scratchy December 18, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Beautiful. The sleeves seem just a little long, but the coat is awesome. December 16, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Defective item I got defective item so a little bit uncomfortable. However, if it were not defective, it is awesome. However, you should know it is a little bit heavier than others and not thick enough to wear in winter season. It is pretty good to wear early winter but fashionable to wear with belt. December 11, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Wonderful It fits wonderful and is so so warm. I love it in winter NYC. But it peeled a litle. June 2, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect This trench provides the perfect balance of classic style and unbelievable warmth without the bulk. May 29, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Decent I'm 5'3" and 159lbs and ordered the Medium-it fits well and pairs nicely with a fleece underneath to add a little warmth. The jacket is light weight and the omni-heat helped when walking the dog in sub-zero temps and wind chills-however, I did have to add a fleece in those temps to stay warm enough. I've been using this coat for almost 6 months daily and washed it a handful of times-it already has pills all over it and within 6 weeks of use, one of the teeth from the bottom of the zipper broke off. It still zips but sometimes needs extra attention for both zipping and unzipping to prevent further damage. I think I would buy this again since it covers the rear, it's decently warm for MN winters, and it looks a bit dressier than a big puffy coat-BUT with the Columbia name I had really hoped the zipper would hold up for at least 1 winter and that it wouldn't be covered in pills. April 6, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by Poor Quality! I had to return it after less than 3 weeks because it started pilling and the cuffs were un ravelling this was a Christmas present for my daughter away at college so by the time it was returned it was out of warranty and I could only get store credit even though she only had it for 3 weeks. March 31, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Returning I love the style and fit of the jacket, but after wearing it less than a month the fabric has started to pill. Returning it. January 6, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very Warm, Don't Like the Fabric I was tired of having a bunch of coats that didn't keep me warm, so I finally decided on this coat. It turns out that it is definitely very warm, especially when paired with the Mighty Lite III Vest I purchased as well. The vest is not required for warmth. I like the style with the zip down and buttons, as well as the belt to help make it more shapely. I don't like looking like a big cylinder in coats. The belt is really long though, so it ends up being tucked into the belt loops 2/3 of the way around again. Not a big deal. I also like the sweater-like cuffs around the wrists, which aren't really visible while wearing. It really helps with warmth by keeping the cold air out of the sleeves. The hood stays on decently, and can be tightened with a hidden adjustable drawstring. What I was really disappointed with was the fabric. It is not very pretty or feminine. It kind of reminds me of something they would use for a man's work coat. After only a few weeks of wear, it is beginning to pill as well, which is disappointing. It is also a lint/hair magnet, so I would not recommend this coat to anyone with animals who shed. I thought about returning the coat after I saw the fabric, but I decided to keep it most of all because of the warmth, which something I had wanted for a long time in a coat. The style was ok too. I got it on sale after Thanksgiving for $99, so I decided it was worth it to keep it. In the end, I am just happy having a warm coat. I'm size 6/8, 5'7", 34DD, 145 lbs. I thought about getting the small, but ended up with the medium. I am happy with the medium, but I do think it might run slightly big. Not a lot. I would have like to have tried on a small because I think it may have been a little better fit, but I really can't say for sure without having done so. The medium offers plenty of room for additional layers underneath. Sleeve length is perfect, as is the general length of the coat. January 2, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Fit I love the fact that the sleeves have snug cuffs, so it's an additional way to keep the heat inside and keep you as warm as possible. It's well constructed and it fits well, even with bulky sweaters n thick scarves underneath the coat. December 30, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Disappointed I wanted to love this coat. However, after wearing it for only a week, it has started to "pill" on the arms already. I will be returning it. December 23, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Stylish Warm Coat Living in the midwest you can't have enough warm jackets. I love the subtle plaid pattern. The style is sleek and fitted and very warm despite its light weight. I was a little hesitant in ordering and am so very glad i did. Love the separate zippered cell phone pocket. Very happy with this purchase. December 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Even Better Than Expected I generally wear a small in Columbia products and this one seems to run a little large in the body. The belt helps give it a more fitted look. With that said, I'm very pleased with its construction, styling and warmth. All my heaviest sweaters fit without feeling tight. December 16, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Attractive coat I like the coat a lot. It fits well, but not as warm as I thought it would be. December 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Coat! I wasn't sure how this coat was going to turn out, I've been searching for a new coat FOREVER. I was so pleasantly surprised when it arrived that it fit & looked amazing! It's warm enough to be by normal winter coat & nice enough to be my work coat. I am obsessed with it! December 3, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great coat I bought this coat for my daughter and she loves it. It is not bulky, keeps her warm, and unlike many coats out there has a warm lining in the arms. November 27, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Stylish and Practical This jacket is really well designed. Most pea coats I've purchased over the past couple years look great but don't keep me warm and they're hard to move around in (the arms primarily). This jacket, however, is comfortable to wear/move around in and keeps me very warm! For the price, as far as I can tell, this jacket is worth it. I've worn it only 1 day so far...and the morning low temperature was 19degF ... it kept me warm! November 20, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love this jacket! I usually wear a pea coat to and from work but they are just so darn thin and do not keep me warm! But this jacket looks similar to a pea coat and is soo much warmer! Especially with the Omni-heat feature. And the hood is a plus too. Great jacket!! November 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Prefect Michigan Coat I wanted a non bulky long coat that wasn't ugly that could stand up to Michigan winters. Seems like that would be easy to do, right? WRONG. I hunted all over. Then I found this gem online. None of the stores had one. And the Omi heat was important to me. I tried on one of the other shorter Omi heat coats and found the Medium to fit perfectly. So I ordered a Medium and it too fits perfect. Material is strong. Stitching is clean and very well done. And it is cute on as well as very functional. The high neck zip paired with the hood is so cozy. Coat falls just at my knees (5'2). The outside pockets have snap closures and there is one zippered pocket on the inside. Worth the money. I will be warm while waiting for the always late bus or while dog walking. November 4, 2014
