Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Water Proof at all I am disappointed I purchased these boots for my daughter. The winter was mild this year so these boots were used only a few times. We went out of state for a weekend of snowtubing and my 6 year old had these on all day in the snow. When we arrived home I took the boots out of the trunk of the car and noticed they looked wet. They were soaked all the way through. I asked my daughter if her feet were wet all day and she said yes. I felt horrible when I heard this. Her feet were wet and cold all day. I will never purchase Columbia boots again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Big mistake Since we previously bought jacket, snow pants etc from Columbia we expected the same quality. Unfortunately, we found out that from the first day my daughter has her feet soaked. It is really frustrating. I'm glad that we didn't buy similar shoes for my wife. I will never buy any Columbia footwear.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not waterproof So frustrating. I spend extra money to get quality boots for my daughter and they make her feet soaked. Not happy having to buy new boots in February.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from these are not waterproof it is not yet Febuary and I am out to buy new boots. My child comes home everyday with soaking wet feet. They look great but do not function well. She's older and doesn't play in the snow yet her feet are always wet. It's frustrating because I specifically bought them because they say they're waterproof. What a waste of money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My daughter loves these boots The boots are very warm for the cold winter days and very comfortable. They are especially light on the feet and have a great sole that makes them great for playing outdoors.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Purchased for an adult I am an adult who normally wear a average size 6 adult shoe. I purchased the black size 5 and it still leaves lots of room to wear thicker socks. The shoes are also lightweight and very comfortable. I wonder how the size 4 would fit me because the size 5 was roomy but i guess it will work well when you add thick socks to it. Looks nice though. The kids shoe looks exactly like the adult version. I tried on the adults version in Columbia store but they did not have a black pair. The only difference is the kids shoe has the blue labels at the top with blue and black lacings and it is cheaper than the adult version and still looks great. Great traction at the bottom.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kids boots for Adults I am a Penn State student who needed good snow boots for our winter of snow and ice so I bought these boots about 6 months ago and am now writing a review after lasting the entire winter. The tread on the bottom of these boots are great and I did not slip once in ice or snow while wearing these boots. I water tested them by standing in a few inches of snow and even jumping in a huge puddle of water and stood there for about a minute and they were perfectly fine. Because they are children boots, they only go to about the mid-calf which was fine for me (I am 5'2). I am a size 7 and a half in womens and bought a size 6 in kids. They are perfectly warm with winter socks/fuzzy socks. With colder weather (e.g. 20 degrees Fahrenheit and below) my feet got a little chilly with normal no show socks which also give more room in the boot which had to then be tied up tight. Overall, I love them and will probably have them for a few more years at least.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing Boot I bought these boots less than 3 months ago because of the brand and they were supposed to be waterproof. It says right on the boot "WATERPROOF" but they definitely aren't. My daughter loves these boots but every day she comes home with wet socks/feet from the boots. And the boots look wet all the way up the boot. She is 8, almost 9 - not intentionally jumping in puddles at this age. Also the laces are too long. They are always coming undone from being stepped on. Finally the stitching along the top of the tread (it's visible when worn and runs entire boot from toe to heel to toe) is fraying. Makes me think it might comes apart soon. For $90 and Columbia brand name I expect more.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very cute but not waterproof! My daughter loved how light and comfortable the boots were but had periodic complaints of cold feet during the winter. Now that the spring melt has started, it is absolutely clear that these boots are not waterproof or even water resistant.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good daily boot inside and out. My 8 year old wears these to school in Cleveland winter with toasty feet all day. She and my wife both wear them all day at home too. They do get wet inside after a day playing in the snow and some of the threading is starting to show wear after 1 month under kid use. Overall, for the sale price, they are a great girl boot with a safe tread and are very lightweight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These boots are Russia-proof! Bought these specifically for my Christmas trip to Russia. I am very satisfied with them and just ordered a pair for my sister. During my trip the temperature got down to -27* C and these boots kept my feet warm (I did a lot of walking in the city). My toes did get cold when I stood for a long time (but that's expected with any boots). Wore them every day for a month and they are in perfect condition. I highly recommend this product! Lightweight and durable! Had to do some troubleshooting with the size but it all worked out.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wore out to fast Boot fit great she loved them. the problem is she hasn't had them very long and they have holes in them, the top of foot. Worn holes paid way to much for them not last for at least one winter.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from not waterproof Great looking boot but it isn't waterproof. I'm very disappointed as my daughter loves the boots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sizing issue, but a great product! I love the Minx Mid II product, but the sizing needs to be reviewed by the company.I ordered a youth size 7 for my 11 year old daughter. When the boots arrived, they were WAY too big. I tried them on to see how they would compare to my size 8 women's version and the boots were even too big for me! A youth 6 would probably compare to a ladies 8 based on my experience.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not Miraculous but Reasonable Purchased for adult female (6Kids ~ 7.5Women's). Black/iceberg is black in most lighting, though the picture looks grey. Reasonable traction, as depicted. Fuzzy cuff stops above ankle. Weigh little. While the OmniHeat is supposedly good to -25*, they work best when one is moving -- standing at bus stops results in cold toes. Waterproofing reasonable -- have not walked through puddles but snow is fine. Boot is already bending/flopping at ankle after 2 weeks of use.
