Columbia values transparency in our supply chain and we have been publicly reporting our finished goods factory list since 2013. The Columbia Factory Transparency Map provides visibility to where Columbia Sportswear Company (including Columbia, Mountain Hardwear, Sorel and prAna) products are made.

How can you tell where your Columbia products are made? Every finished good factory we work with is assigned a unique factory ID. This unique factory ID is a 2-5 digit number which is incorporated into the care label for apparel, equipment and accessories and in the tongue label for footwear (labels on licensed and prAna products do not currently include the factory ID). By searching using the unique factory ID found on Columbia products you will be able to find the factory where your products are made. See search examples in the instruction under the map.

Our transparency map highlights some of the key initiatives we have been focusing on to create positive impacts in our supply chain through collaboration with our factory partners and these organizations:

  • HERproject: strives to empower women working in global supply chains by delivering training on health, financial literacy and tackling workplace violence and harassment. (

  • Planet Water Foundation: focuses on alleviating the global water crisis and eliminating water poverty by reducing waterborne disease, illness and death by bringing clean water access and water-health and hygiene education programs to the world’s most impoverished communities. To maximize the impact, the water towers are built in local schools close to our factory partners. (

  • Responsible Down Standard: An independent, voluntary global standard. The standard recognizes the best practices in animal welfare and ensures the down and feathers used in our products are sourced responsibly.
Disclaimer: Our finished goods source base is complex and dynamic. The factory transparency map is updated on biannual basis. The current map only includes finished good factories that are active for production as of July 31, 2019. For any questions regarding the map, please contact [email protected]
