Rated 5 out of 5 by Erroni from Great travel/everyday use backpack Bought it for my wife for traveling, especially air travel. Carries all her essentials including i-pad, sundries, an extra set of clothes in case checked luggage goes on a walkabout etc. Very comfortable for walking in the large terminals like Atlanta and for using public transit to get to city centers/hotels/buses to car rental kiosks. Also it is very well made and looks great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Calpal from Great backpack Being a college student, I carry around loads of textbooks daily. My old backpack was causing all of the weight to rest on my shoulders, causing a lot of pain. This backpack however, disperses the weight evenly from my shoulders and my torso with the help of the belt straps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by s0j0roman from Maybe the Perfect Daypack! So, I’ve been on a quest to find the ideal daypack... I commute by bicycle and motorcycle to work, so I need to carry lunch, small electronics, clothes, etc. I also need to keep my keys, chargers, other sundries organized. Plus, I want this daypack to go with me traveling-both domestic US and international. I tried a few other packs (North Face, Swiss Army) that did some of these things really well, but the Circuit Breaker does them ALL. It’s slightly smaller than many other packs (fits easier under airline seats), but will expand to hold everything I need to take. It has the best organization features, with zippered pockets for stashing smaller items, but keeping them organized. Zippers work well and appear to be very robust. The pack is quite light on its own, but can handle a substantial load. And you can save the back strain with the waist belt! Many great features all brought together in a well-thought-out daypack.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Rob28 from Works for our needs I bought this bag for my wife as an every day commuter bag. She is a teacher and stuffs the bag with toys, crayons, books, etc... So far the bag is holding up well and she said the bag rest well on her back. Only downside is the bag is water resistant, not waterproof.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Edhikes from Awesome travel backpack This backpack carried my 17 inch and 11 inch laptops plus other items. I took it on a trip and it was the easiest to get in and out of customs and security checks with quick access. I cant wait to use it daily. Thank you Columbia for the amazing products you provide. I am a customer for life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by bab1112 from 4th circuit breaker in our family We have bought 4 of these for college students and for work. These are very high quality, roomy enough for laptops, and have a lot of versatile pockets and storage. I have bought two for my husband and both times our sons have taken them for school! Look great and very functional!

Rated 5 out of 5 by JoMak from Backpack with great features I needed a new backpack that had all the specs and functionality I needed. This one fit the bill. The feature I like most are the vents on the straps that also decrease the weight. I use this while commuting to work and while traveling. The only thing I'd like added are ties to keep the excess straps from flaying about or getting tangled/caught in things.

Rated 1 out of 5 by DEC28 from Feels way smaller than 30L I bought this backpack for two main reasons: 1) It has side pockets large enough for a Hydroflask 2) It can hold my giant work laptop I thought that the 30L capacity would be enough since I've owned other packs from different manufacturers of this size. However, since there are so many pockets I struggle to fit 2/3 of the stuff that fit in past packs. If this pack is fully loaded you are stuck with pockets binding and preventing access to other pockets. It's a real pain when traveling and trying to access things quickly. If the pack is even moderately loaded you still have to unpack other pockets to reach everything. My other complaint is that I've had this pack for 2 months and the side pockets are already showing damage as is the back panel. I could probably live with one of the two above flaws but not both. I'm going to have to purchase another pack soon to replace this one and it sucks having to pay for it twice.

Rated 4 out of 5 by erkie25 from A Great Brand Name Bag, but... Awesome backpack by Columbia. Love the straps; really cool feel, and the overall design is great as well. However, it feels a little cheap in quality for a backpack so expensive; personally it runs a little small, and it doesn't really sit upright when you set it down on the ground. As a student, it's a little bit hard to bring everything you need for class in it as well, and the laptop sleeve does run a little small. Other than that, personally, it's a cool bag, and what it lacks in function (although it does do its job) its still a stylish bag to carry around.

Rated 4 out of 5 by eatpizza from Works for a College Backpack I had owned the previous model of this backpack which seemed to have more allowable usable space within the pack. However, the separate padded computer pocket is a nice feature. The shoulder straps with the mesh to allow air flow is also a very unique and beneficial feature to this pack. I use this backpack everyday in a college setting, and it exceeds my expectations for a pack.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Evfl from Fair My 17" Dell Inspiron laptop didn't fit in the laptop sleeve compartment but it did fit within the main conpartment. I would suggest that for later designs of this model make sure the laptop sleeve bottom support is in level with the backpack's bottom support and having the extra room will make it easier to fit most 17" laptop models. Having a designed prefectly soft sleeve that is useless just add extra weight. For future feature descritiptions an estimated laptop sleeve dimensions would be appreciated. Since it is hard to find backpacks with a 17" laptop compartment I had to make an online purchase. I am dissapointed that I didn't get a discount for receiving an item that doesn't match its design features, which in my understanding is a DEFECTIVE product. The product should be tested and proved to meet its features, which should be described in detail specially online. I am not satisfied with my purchase, but besides of not getting a refund or even a free shipping for return, it is a good quality product, just didnt meet my only requirement which was fitting my laptop.

Rated 4 out of 5 by TRed from Great backpack for business, could be better. There are only 3 issues I have with this otherwise great backpack. There are tons of compartments. My only issue having so many compartments is that it limits the size of any one compartment therefore limiting the size of what it can carry. This leads to my 2nd issue. I was hoping that this bag would fit 11x17 paper since it claimed to fit a 17" laptop I figured this would be a no brainer. I'm an engineer and constantly have 11x17 drawing packages to review. The bag is just barely big enough to fit these with bending in the edges of the paper (looks unprofessional). Lastly, and the least of my issues is the hip belt straps do not have any sleeve or included method for keeping the straps tied down. These leads to the straps dangling (more true the skinnier you are) and potentially getting caught on things. Also when setting the bag down the straps hang all over the place and it appears sloppy or messy to me. It's a simple fix with some rubber bands or hair ties but seems like a simple design afterthought that got missed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by systemBuilder from Nice pack At the Columbia outlet we bought a very affordable Orange Circuitbreaker backpack to replace our son's Columbia Manifest backpack, which had been stolen. I have a Columbia Halftrack backpack so we have experience with 3 recent models. This one has an open pouch on the back (probably for drying shoes), which some people like a great deal, like the Manifest. Unlike the Manifest, the computer compartment is a separate, 3rd zippered compartment with padding front and back (probably the 3rd compartment is what makes this pack so expensive) and includes a spandex tablet sleeve to completely secure a tablet away from the pad edges, reducing the chance of banging tablet corners. Compared to the Manifest 1 this pack is wider at the top AND bottom so larger laptops should fit easily - i heard that some large 15.6" laptops had trouble fitting into the Manifest. There are 2 small zippered compartments in the main section, with 2 mesh pouches and a 3rd area for 3 sets of credit cards, plus holders for 2 pens. I expect the quality and especially durability to be top-notch like our other Columbia products and backpack(s) in particular. Downsides are (a) special holders for only two pens like my Columbia halftrack, but I wish it held 3 - 4 like a previous pack (b) The 3rd and smallest outside zippered compartment has only a single zipper that goes from 150 degrees clockwise to about 210 degrees. Not the easiest compartment to access and I would have preferred 2 zippers that were more beefy than the one that was used.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Gundo2015 from Great Backpack I really like this backpack. Plenty of room for all of my things. I look off the waist straps and use this backpack as my primary pack. The materials are Columbia quality. I like the felt lined computer liner, it fits my computer very easily.
