Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing Columbia is my brand. Everyday I wear a Columbia fishing shirt or "fish" shirt. Since I was going bonefishing in Aruba I decided to order the Freezer Zero Neck Gaiter in the bright colors. It arrived just before I left so I didn't even get it out of the package until I arrived in Aruba. I put it on and all it did was flop to the bottom of my neck. It had no stretch whatsoever so unless I was pulling it up over the back of my head, it proved to be useless to protect my neck from sun. I also didn't get to appreciate the freezer-zero properties because it just laid there limply on the bottom of my neck. It was the only disappointing purchase that I have ever made from Columbia.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mr. Sun Isn't Always Your Friend... I have a camo neck gaiter I wear duck hunting. It camouflages much of my face and is surprisingly warm. Consequently, I was a bit worried that a summertime version of this garment would be stifling. It wasn't. Don't misunderstand, it wasn't like I had an AC unit on my neck either; but it was NOT hot or uncomfortable. More to the point, it keeps the sun off my neck. It has become standard wear for me on hot summer days when kayaking, fishing, or just doing yard work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent protection from the sun! I was truly impressed how cool this kept me while keeping the sun off my neck. It was surprisingly comfortable as well and I hardly noticed it was there. I used it while hiking and also while I taught a motorcycle class (standing in a hot Texas parking lot).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use! I constantly remind my husband to use sunscreen, this is much easier. Whether he is out chopping wood, or fishing (his preference) this is easy to pull on, and is extra warmth in the fall. I've since purchased a 2nd gaiter!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Neck protection For hiking or any other sun exposure activity this helps cover and protect from the sun your face and it is easy to breath through it while on your face.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good These gaiters are some of the best out there, in that they are cooler & don't make you sweat like many others do. The colors are nice and blend with Columbia shirts available. My one complaint about this is that I often find a gap between where the gaiter lands at the back of my neck and the top of my OmniFreeze shirt, and am constantly trying to adjust to avoid that. If you like the button-up shirts with the collar this should not be a problem for you, but I prefer the plain shirts. I wish that the gaiter either was cut to come down around the shoulders or that I could get the plain PFG shirt with a collar. Still, I prefer this over any other gaiter I've used because it blocks the sun but stays cool. It also helps block out some light/reflection for sight fishing. Now if I can just come up with a way to keep my sunglasses from fogging up in the morning....

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for the sun I'm a forester in central Louisiana. I purchased this because in the past few years 3 of my coworkers have had some form of skin cancer removed from them. I am trying to avoid that and applying sunscreen every 80 min just isn't going to happen. During the summer the heat index stays somewhere between 100 and 110 and I am moving in and out of the sun all day. This neck gaiter does an awesome job with keeping the sun off my neck and face. The material is great, it hasn't snagged yet which is saying something. It breathes well, I don't feel like I have something hot and heavy around my neck, and it keeps the sweat from dripping everywhere. That being said it doesn't provide me with any cooling. It doesn't feel hot by any means and every now and then a breeze will pick up and it will feel nice but those are few and far between here. I was hoping the omni-freeze tech would provide at least a little relief  but as far as cooling goes it feels like any plain Jane dri-fit which work well typically unless the humidity is so high that your sweat won't evapoate. Bottom line is I bought this for sun protection and it does that part well. Maybe they will make a plain one without the omni-freeze that is a little less expensive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best on the market! The quality and comfort of Columbia its hard to beat. I spend more time on the water than on land and protection from the elements is a most. Columbia always delivers with true quality and comfort. Wish they had more colors and styles. Truly recommend it!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kept me cool and sunburn free I wore this neck gaiter every day, except one, on my recent 2 week backpacking trip to Yosemite. The day I didn't wear it I got very sunburned during a summit on North Dome. This is a useful accessory to own and served many purposes. I wore it on my neck, as a head band, under my hat to keep my head cool and I even used it as a wash cloth. It still looks good as new!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for living on the water every day! Excellent fit and comfort, soft and breathable, perfect way to stay protected every day. I am a fishing guide and spend the majority of my time in the sun and on the water, wear my pfg neck gaiter every day and love it!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Darn Neck Gaiter out there! Columbia vs UA I have been trying to find the right neck gaiter picking between UA and Columbia fishing apparel. I notice that Columbia's material is much softer and of better quality when it comes to the neck gaiter, as well as other fishing apparel. It also has 50spf and omni freeze technology which I consider to be a plus considering the 100+ Texas Heat! Lastly, I want to be honest I do like UA styles in their fishing shirts and short sleeve shorts but as far as hats, pants, and long sleeve fishing shirts i prefer Columbia because of its quality!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buy a neck gaiter. You'll thank yourself later. I cannot say enough about this neck gaiter. I've bought at least a half dozen so far. This neck gaiter is the best addition I've made to my fishing wardrobe. I wear one constantly on the water in summer for protection from sun/wind and frequently wear one in the fall for protection from the wind. This product fits a bit snug on my 6'3" 240lbs frame, but that is by design. As my daughter says, "these things are epic."

Rated 4 out of 5 by from slight regression I agree with other reviewers: the original version was better. I consider gaiters a necessary evil. I don't like the restrictive feeling, but I need the sun protection. This is still my favorite gaiter because it is relatively comfortable and cool compared to others I've tried.
