My kids love the inside lining and said it was like a blanket! Weather in the Midwest can be tricky, so these jackets are great for heading into fall and early spring, when winter coats are too much!

Rated 5 out of 5 by aimdnagor from Perfect 3 season jacket I had been searching for a new jacket for my daughter that was functional, warm, and durable, yet not too heavy and not bulky, as that is usually the hold up for her. The Ethan Pond jacket was the perfect answer to our needs, as its light weight, water repellent, fleece lined, and has a hood, so by definition, a 3 season jacket. My daughter loved it right off the bat, from the fit to the color (which was remarkably accurate from the web pic), and literally snuggled in it as soon as she tried it on for size. We couldn't be happier with our purchase, and in fact, we loved it so much that we bought another for her little sister. The fact that it was this well received, and is a Columbia product means its a Win-Win personified in my book, and based on her reaction, my daughters says the same as well too.

So fits large but I find she's in size 14 shirts all the time, even though she's teeny. She's in size 8 capris and pants are like not possible, so that's fun. The jacket is super sleek in person, in the picture it looks like it comes in at the bottom like a bomber but it doesn't, it hangs down and it looks great with leggings. I ordered a small for my 6 year old and it should fit for quite a while. The inside is super soft and I love the long back on it. It was huge. I was able to put it on and zip it up with no problem. It fits more like a woman's Small. The coat seems well made and I like the fleece lining, but I need to exchange it for a smaller size for her.

I especially like how the outside of the jacket is water resistant. This jacket is perfect for all but the coldest days of winter, and my kids can safely wear them while in their car seats, too. Love the colors for this season also!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Brandiebear from Great Spring/Fall Jacket! I must confess, I am a grown woman but I bought this jacket for myself! I ordered the XL size. I'm only 5 foot tall and have a small frame, but I was still a little worried because I could probably stand to lose 10-15lbs or so, and I was worried about the chest area accommodating my bust, but it's a great fit! The sleeves are plenty long enough and I have full movement of my arms, I don't have to worry about busting a seam on the thing. The only downside is that when I put it on, the sleeves of my shirt get bunched up within the jacket sleeves, I'm guessing because my arms are wider around that the average little girl. For a little girl I'm sure this wouldn't be a problem. Very well made, love the deep, zippered pockets. Great product!

The jacket is light weight keeps you dry in the rain and with a soft fleecey inside it will also keep you warm in colder weather! I ordered the xxs(4-5) as my daughters other Columbia jacket(size 4) is too small. This jacket fits bigger but doesn't look bad and she will still fit it for early fall! When I called customer service they said it was listed there because it is water proof! It is a nice jacket if you need a spring or fall coat but not if you are looking for a ski jacket. Very misleading.
