Rated 5 out of 5 by dsldr from Inferno Range Mittens Mittens fit true to size. They are well made, look very durable and are nicely styled. I like the storm cuff and shock cord, adjustment works well. Shipping and delivery were as promised and adequate to protect the mittens from shipping damage. They appear to be quite warm, I am counting on this, however we have not had cold enough days here to confirm yet. Nor have I had experience with the OutDry waterproofing, although I have yet to find a Columbia product that was a problem in this regard.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LaGonz from Kept Hands Warm in -20 Windchill Skiing I bought these on the second day of a ski trip where the high temp of the day was 3 degrees Fahrenheit and a windchill in the -20s. My normal, heavy ski gloves just were not holding up in the extreme weather. With these, my hands were toasty the entire day! They certainly don’t have as much mobility as gloves or thinner mittens, but I was still able to grasp ski poles and do all I needed. I just needed to make sure my fingers stayed warm and dry - and they did! I’m a 5’4” female with average hand size and got an extra small - good size for me and was able to wear liner gloves underneath.

Not a glove you can do a ton of work/function with your hands due to the size but that's not what they are for, they are for warmth.. plain and simple. You could do tasks like using an ice auger or something like that but not much more. Overall great though! 6ft with larger than avg hands and XL was the right size
