Rated 4 out of 5 by ToosmallupNorth from Need skinny arms to wear I bought this 3XL jacket as a gift for my brother body was great but the arms are for skinny arms. If you have any arm development from either working a somewhat physical job every day or even just do a little conditioning this jacket is not going to work. I also tried the jacket and the same result and I am a 2XL heading toward regular xl. Note we tried the jacket on with just polo shirts on underneath so if you had a sweatshirt or even a solid ruby shirt you would not even get your arms in the sleeves. Seems like a design flaw, because the material and construction otherwise looked great. I recommend with reservations if you are going to get steamed if it doesn't fit --don't order it. If you are like me and you weren't that upset and hoped it worked because it saved me an 80 mile roundtrip to the mall, because return postage is still cheaper than the gas, order it up.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Daddyman from what a disappointment, from a 6'2, 290lbs of a guy I never know how to order product from this company. There is no consistency in sizing from any of the products it sells. This is very difficult since the store less than 10 blocks from my home stocks no larger sizes, this in effect causes me to either order multiple items in multiple sizes or order, send back and reorder again. I normally can wear a 3XL from your competitors. In the case of your product a 4XL fit in sleeve, waist and length, but chest was to tight to bear. This was with just a T shirt underneath, Imagine a standard shirt on?

Rated 4 out of 5 by Gman181 from Great jacket, narrow sleeves Great jacket, it keeps me warm when I need it and looks great. Only downfall as usual with Columbia the sizes run small. I bought the 4x as a 5x is not made and it fits like a 3x from any other manufacturer. Also I can't for the life of me figure out why Columbia makes the sleeves so darn narrow!!! I just don't get it???

Rated 5 out of 5 by DanaEC from Love It! One of my favorite articles of clothing. This is a versatile jacket that keeps me warm even with temps in the 20s ... and yet is light enough to wear with temps in the low 50s. I love the zippered side pockets, the zippered glasses pocket near the chest, and there are two huge inside pockets for carrying whatever. And the jacket is nice-looking to boot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by DaveM42 from Great Product Fit great, looks great and feels great. I am a built guy and it is very hard to fine clothes and jackets that fit without being really tight in the shoulders finally nice to be able to wear something comfortable.

Rated 2 out of 5 by JIRod72 from If you have shoulders look elswere! OK... I am a big guy (300 lb.), I know I am and so I shop the big guy sizes. Most any other company out there I would buy either a 2 or 3 XLG and be fine. Not so with Columbia - in any of their products! They sized around the middle fine... but forgot that most big guys have big arms and are very broad across the back of the shoulders. I could almost squeeze into the 3x sizes, and even the 4x sizes were tight around the biceps and super tight across the shoulders. Went to a big box mall store and bought a 3x zip out lining coat for $45 instead. I soooo wanted the Columbia stuff, but it just don't fit - they need to do more market research. Also FYI - while I was in the employee store trying stuff on I talked to no less than 3 other big guys who were all having the same problem, and the same issue was in the women's sizes (for my wife) as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jiggy from Great Cool Weather Jacket I was looking for a "medium weight" jacket for wearing outside during cooler temps (40-60 degrees). I find this absolutely does the job. I wear it to the office, while running errands or working/enjoying the outdoors. Once it gets in the low 40's or below I need addtional layers or a heavier jacket. I'd say for the average person it is a good jacket for fall or mild winter conditions. Color matches well to the picture. I'm about 6'2, 300 lbs and got a 3x, which fits really well and leaves space for additional layers underneath. Sleeves may be a tad long, but its fine since they have the velcro strap on the wrists. Love the jacket, already have had several compliments and have at least 2 friends who have ordered the jacket for themselves or someone else as a gift.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Billibud from The fit, the fabric and the style passed the test This is a great fall and spring jacket. It has fantastic water shedding ability. The fit is great with a short-sleeved shirt underneath. Long-sleeved shirts fit OK underneath this jacket. The interior fabric feels soft and comfortable. The front zip pocket location is fairly handy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Marianne1331 from Men's Ascender II Softshell I bought this coat for my husband, He absolutely loves this coat. He always wears carhart coats. This coat compares to a carhart with the wind and wet weather of central Ny. The wind does not go thru it and the rain and wet snow repeles off of it. Love the soft shells even for women coats.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Mjkemp from Good BUT I like my jacket but I ordered a 3x because I wanted it to be a little big and when I got it it's almost too small and it's a 3x. Weird.

Rated 4 out of 5 by JIMMYJOE from "THE LONG AND SHORT OF IT." THE SLEEVES ON THIS JACKET (SIZE 4X) ARE A LITTLE LONG. I USUALLY WEAR A 37 INCH SLEEVE AND THEY WERE LONG ON ME ! ON THE OTHER HAND, THE BODY OF THE JACKET IS ON THE SHORT SIDE. COULD HAVE USED A MORE LENGTH IN THE "TAIL" .

Rated 5 out of 5 by snotzzz from Wife loves it I bought this for my wife and it is the perfect choice for her minimalistic likings. She hates driving with big bulky coats on so she'll just drive without a coat...until I got her this. It blocks the wind, doesn't let the rain or snow in, and is nice and thin.
