Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bugaboo Love my new Bugaboo jacket, the fit is a little narrow for an XL, wish the jacket was also a couple inches longer in length. Overall it should be a great jacket for my needs.
Date published: 2014-03-14
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sleeve Previous Columbia jackets seemed to be slightly longer is sleeve size. This jacket tends to ride up a bit. My last two, same size, never did that. Other than that, the jacket has proven comfortable and warm.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Where has your quality gone? I had a bugaboo I had in the late 90s and I figured it was time to get a new one I purchased the dark compass color way in a size large the fit was great, it was warm and whatever, but the columbia logo embroidered on the chest is very small and you used to embroider "Bugaboo" on the back collar and that is gone and it was just an added touch to the jacket, the collar is low and they used to be quite high and it was good to block wind. I have worn this 2 times and the fa ric in the outer shell is fraying quite a bit on the arms, bottom, and underarms. The Bugaboo I have had since 98' and wore almost every day is in better shape than this new one that's I have worn twice I think Columbia needs to go back to their old design details and quality because whatever they are doing now isn't very good...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeps you warm and you don't lose your keys! Perfect cold weather coat - I've had this for about a week in sub-zero temps and it is toasty. Workmanship is top-notch, fit true to size, lots of pockets in both the lining and the outer shell. I also like the key clip in the outside pocket. Yes it is a little tough to get your keys on there but if you are going to trust them in this way you don't want them falling off. What would actually improve that key-holder is to make it telescopic so if you have a high lock you don't have to pull the pocket up to make it work. Still nifty as is. Once it gets warmer I'll be separating the lining and the shell to try that out. So far the lining seems to be a super nice jacket as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jacket for the money I bought this to match the bugaboo pants. Great jacket. Love the liner as it makes it very versatile. Does well in wet snow and keeps me warm and dry.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from After 2 Seasons This is the second season I've had my Bugaboo Parka and can now say I'm not as pleased with it as my Titanium Parka. I have three main issues with my parka: -Fleece liner is cut WAY to tight! Can't wear anything heavier than a long sleeve tshirt with it. The armpit area provides no room and bunches up with thicker items like sweater. -The outer shell claims to be waterproof but have found that after using it to shovel snow off of my driveway I found the inside of the shell to be wet. I can say with certainty this was not due to sweat! -The main zipper on the front catches at the bottom constantly like the stitching is off and thus causes the material to catch in the zipper. Overall I rarely wear the liner and shell together due to the limited room and tightness. I generally will wear the shell with my Titanium linear, the two aren't interchangeable when it comes to the zippers! I have to say I've reverted to my 10+ year old Titanium for the worst of winter weather and only use the Bugaboo for mild conditions. I'll be searching and purchasing another Titanium on eBay. I would go and try this jacket on somewhere first before committing to it. I reluctantly recommended this product. Jerry Case

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jacket This is a comfortable, warm, and good looking jacket. It is one of my favorites.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great jacket! Bought this to replace a snowboarding jacket, never owned anything Columbia before. It has weathered a couple Northeast snow storms and cold down to 5F (-15C) and has kept me quite warm. The outer shell protects from the rain and wet snow well. The hood isn't bulky or even noticeable when not in use and works well enough in moderate rain (no heavy rain yet), though I could imagine it won't protect much if the wind is blowing at the same time. Price you pay for a hood that doesn't feel like an extra backpack when it's down. Overall, the jacket is VERY warm and I can't really bear to wear the liner and shell together in temperatures higher than 32F (0C). The liner is pretty comfortable and warm on it's own, looks pretty good too. Not overly shiny or puffy looking, so you won't look like an idiot if you're not wearing it on a trail. It zips in/out easily and the anchors in the collar and sleeves are quick to secure, though not terribly necessary. Plenty of pockets (both secured and unsecured) which are easy to access. I've only had it a couple months, so I can't comment on durability yet. However, the seams appear sturdy with a smooth zipper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Winter Jacket Ever This is by far the best winter jacket I've ever purchased -- the fit is outstanding -- it's not bulky and very warm and waterproof. The wrists, front placket and neck all seal up nicely and the hood is even okay -- neither bulky nor falling off. I've been wearing it for 2 months now and we've had snow and cold weather this winter and I couldn't be happier. For the price you won't find a better winter jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable & Warm Wonderful coat. Fits well and the blue is a great color. The coat, with a sweatshirt underneath, was warm in 8 degree weather. Also it is light and not bulky. I have always bought Columbia products, and this is one of my best purchases.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very versatile jacket. I purchased this jacket for my husband for Christmas. HE LOVES IT! I first purchased him one from North Face and although it offered a great deal of warmth for really cold winter days, he felt it was too bulky. Next came a coat from Eddie Bauer. Again, the same problem....warmth but too bulky. So I turned to Columbia, did some research and decided on this jacket. I was skeptical as to how warm it would be on days when the temperatures dipped into the teens and twenties, but he said this jacket keeps him plenty warm on those days yet when he has it on in the car or in the store he doesn't get overheated. On warmer days, he can remove the inner jacket. I also love the style of this jacket. He's in sales and in and out of the car and accounts all day long. It's stylish enough to wear with dress pants and a shirt and tie yet it looks great with jeans. He gets a lot of compliments on this jacket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Got me through a snow-induced travel nightmare I received this coat as a Christmas gift while visiting family in Chicago. For the next week and a half, it saw me through some truly awful weather, and a three-day ordeal trying to get from OHare airport to Boston. So it saw it all: trekking around between buses, trains, taxis, and planes, waiting around indoors and outdoors, and even a stint as a makeshift pillow at gate H10. What can I say? It fits well, it's light-weight, it packs easily, it repels water, and it looks pretty good. It saw me through two major snow storms and weather anywhere between 50 degrees and misty down to 5 degrees below zero. The really impressive part is that it seemed comfortable at all of those temperatures. I have yet to separate the inner layer. I highly recommend this coat!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice jacket, weak construction I have this jacket in black and it is really nice. It fits well and is warm. The hood is weird in that it's only connected half way with a zipper along the neck of the jacket. This allows for cold air to travel up your neck. It does, however, keep the rain/snow out if it's adjusted properly. There's ample pockets and everything zips or buttons for security. There's a clip inside the right side lower pocket to attach your keys to. The only issue is that the clip is extremely hard to pinch down. I am not weak (pretty strong actually), but cannot get it to open enough to get my keyring in. The second issue is that the fastener loop that keeps the right sleeve of liner jacket connected to the shell has ripped after 4 uses. I was not doing any strenuous activity when this happened; I was taking the jacket off. I am disappointed in the quality and have contacted Columbia for support. Other than these issues, the jacket is nice and does what it's supposed to.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great coat I bought this coat as a Christmas present for my husband, and I must say, he loves it. The day after Christmas he went skiing and wore it saying he stayed warm the whole time. He hates wearing coats and jackets because he never really found one he liked. But I think we have a winner with this one. He works outside for a living though, so he needs some kind of winter coat, and my winter coat is a Columbia one, and I just love it. It's a very nice coat, and if he will wear it, anyone will....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This Coat Matches Description on Website Perfectly Coat was excellent quality as all products previously purchased from Columbia. Coat was purchased for a family friend, ordered a medium, and was a little large, exchanged for small and was a perfect fit. The young man that received it didn't take it off all day...I think he slept in it... Thank you Columbia for delivering great quality products consistently.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight and warm Love this coat. It's super warm without the bulk. I work outside in Massachusetts and the weather is always changing. I got an XL cause I thought I would still need to fit multiple layers under it, but it's warm enough to get away with just a long sleeve t shirt. Its a little big on me but still comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jacket This jacket does everything it's suppose to do. I wore it for the first snow fall of the season in which it snowed, rained and then hailed and through it all I stay dry and warm. After about an hour I removed the liner jacket and the shell jacket was more then enough in 25 degrees

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Jacket This jacket has not been tested in extreme cold conditions yet (by me), but I can say that it keeps the wind out and the warmth in while riding a bicycle really fast in cold weather (25-30 F). The inner jacket is extremely versatile. I use it when going on bike rides, because attaching the outer shell would make the jacket a bit too bulky. Keeps the wind out of my core without a scarf, which is really helpful. I would complain that the jacket is a tad bit too big, but I am in-between sizes (Small and Medium), and it's always better to have a jacket a bit bigger than a bit smaller. It has both velcro and elastic pull-tabs on the hood, so it is very adjustable. All-in-all, a very nice jacket Disclaimer = this is my first "high-end" jacket. I've had off-brand winter jackets before.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Jacket I am a loyal Columbia customer. I purchased my first one at a flee market 8 years ago and never looked else where for a jacket, other than for dress, specific color or style. The only challenge I have with this particular style is the true fit. I am good with a XXL, but the sleeves are a bit tight, narrow, too true to fit. I'm force to go sleeveless at times. I also recommend double zippers for us drivers. These jackets jumble when you sit to drive. HELP! Otherwise, still a customer. Looking forward to improvements.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good fit and warm I'm just about 6 feet tall and 175 lbs. I got size medium and seems to fit me very well with enough room to wear layers underneath. Seems warm but haven't tested it outdoors for a lengthy time. Overall very happy with the purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Worth the money Wanted to replace an older Ralph Lauren jacket with something warmer and a little longer. Ordered an XL but it was a little large so went to a Columbia outlet store & found a similar jacket that had the omni-heat lining. Great jacket, worth the little extra cost. Only thing I'd recommend is that Columbia stitch the inner lining of the insert about an inch above the end of the sleeve as a little of this lining will show near your wrist every time you put it on. Not too big of a problem to tuck it back up the sleeve. The coat is definitely worth it.

Date published: 2013-11-18
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good in cold weather This is almost the perfect coat, it can come apart when you want the lighter layers and come back together when your plowing powder in 15 degree weather. It's useful on a warmer day when you don't want as many layers while skiing, that's what makes it great. High Quality Awesome Colors Cheap Best jacket I've ever worn

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks nice I would have no problem wearing this coat to a nice restaurant. this is my second Three in one Columbia coat, my first one lasted 13 years until I lost 55 pounds and had to get a small. I would never own any other coat.
