Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great boots! My old boots were falling apart so I needed a new pair. I started to get another pair of PAC boots, but decided to go with these instead. I'm glad I did. Pack well, easy to drive and walk in. Kept my feet very warm in snow and ice while on ski trips.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An Amazing Boot What a fabulous boot this is, just perfect so warm and dry my feet have never felt better in a pair of boots. Besides that they are extremely light weight which is great when I'm out on the lake all day ice fishing. They give 'LL Bean a run for the money and I would say Columbia Wins!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable boot Other reviews mentioned to order a half size up. Glad I read them because I did order a half size up and boots fit well. Certain if I would have ordered my usual size it would have been too small and uncomfortable. Plenty warm for shoveling a driveway in the northeast and the height was great too for fairly deep snowfalls. Hopefully they will last had problems with the rubber portion on my last pair of Columbia boots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Right Boot for Canadian Winter I waited to review this boot until I visited family in Ottawa, ON. this winter. It worked out well. This is lighter than my Sorel Caribou and is very comfortable on my morning five mile walks. Feet were warm with light weight socks. Worked perfectly when romping through snow with grandsons. Also worked on a snow shoe trip. Good winter boot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Boot These are great boots. They are very warm and easy to get on and off. They are comfortable for hiking in snow and hard ground. They seem to be good quality and I have seen no issues after a month of use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Winter Boots I really like these boots, they are very warm, comfortable, and water proof. Also, a lot went into the tread design to make them get good traction on multiple type surfaces. I ordered mine 1/2 size too large in order to wear very thick socks, this worked out perfect. I got my son a pair of the -25 degree Bugaboots that he works construction in, they are working out great for him too, very warm and durable line of boots. We have been having unusually cold weather, some days with highs in the teens, and the reflective heat is working great!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable and well fitting boots Boots fit true to size. I bought 1/2 size larger to accommodate thicker socks. Naturally as soon as the order was placed the cold weather moderated so a true cold test was not possible. However, if owning these will keep the temperatures moderate they are a great investment. Boots are comfortable to wear and walk in. Function is rated good because I cannot test them in extreme cold. I am retired and expect to walk daily for exercise as well as spend time with snow sports with my grandson. My expectations are they will do the job I purchased them for.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great hiking boot Hiked 4 winter ADK peaks. 16 miles. 2-4 inches of snow on the trails. Normally wear a size 11 hiking boot. Purchased size 11 in these. Fit was true to size. Wore a single pair of winter hiking socks. No issues with feet being cold at all. Only reason I didn't give these boots a 5 star: some slight moisture in the toe box, and feet were cool to the touch at the end of the hike, but I felt this was not an issue. No issues with feet being wet. Very good traction. Boot worked well with both snow shoes, and crampons. I really liked the height of these boots. Toe box was roomy. I did have some blisters at the end of the hike, but I attribute this to the 13 hours of intense hiking, and not necessarily the boots. I would recommend these boots. Fantastic deal if you can catch them on sale.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broken within a week By Vexillifer - Jan 04, 2018 I bought this pair of boots for walking in NY and AZ and exclusively in town. It's quite warm indeed, but not very comfortable at walking and awkward at driving. Importantly, as can be seen in the photos, the durability is far below my expectations. I weared them for less than one week all together. Hopefully it helps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good boots. I wear these fifty hours a week all winter long. This is my second pair, the first has lasted three seasons making snow and running a groomer. Good traction and fairly warm, I recommend these boots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm, steady, and dry OVERVIEW: I bought these the day I hiked Buck Mountain, Adirondacks in early February. It was about 28 degrees, which I know isn't terribly cold but it had a very breezy and cold summit with wind chills in the single digits. The trail was snow packed. FEATURES: My feet were warm and toasty the entire time which can probably be credited to the very generous amount of insulation in them (200 grams to be exact) along with the omni-heat lining. My toes never experienced numbness. Not once, which is amazing. It's also a high boot (8" I believe) which is great for ankle support on snowy and icy trails. It definitely saved my ankle on a few occasions from being twisted or rolled. CONSTRUCTION: The whole bottom half of the boot is constructed of rubber so it's truly waterproof. They are seam sealed up until the second lace loop from the top which is great for not only waterproofing but also for keeping dirt and gravel from getting in. The webbing loops on the upper heel came in real handy when putting them on. All the materials and fabrics used in the boot seem to be of very high quality. No cheap feeling materials, which I definitely appreciate. PERFORMANCE: They are super comfortable, which was surprising because they are so new and stiff so I was expecting a lot of foot pain but I didn't experience any "new shoe" pain. Just some normal pain in the back of my foot from climbing uphill. The tread is aggressive enough for winter hikes but I wasn't taking any chances with the ice so I put ice cleats over the boot to help with traction. OVERALL OPINION: All in all, I'm very satisfied with this boot. My feet were warm, dry, comfortable, and protected on my 3 hour hike. They feel like they will last for many years to come. Highly recommended

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is the best winter boot I have ever had. This is the best winter boot I have ever had, owned for 3+ years. I'm a Canadian and they keep my feet warm at 25 F below or 30 C below. I wear shoe size 9 and tried them on at Columbia and had to get 1/2 size larger. Well constructed, good traction, water proof, no regrets!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect!! I ordered these snowboots for my husband, and outdoor photographer who doesn't let the cold or the snow stop him from seeking out beauty on earth. He is over the moon thrilled with these boots and claims they are the best pair he has ever owned. They are rugged enough for him to hike around in the backcountry, and they keep his feet incredibly warm and dry. SO glad we chose these!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 1st Day in Use Review. Great value for the money. I live in Northern Minnesota. It's often Arctic Cold here and I work on commercial HVAC equipment on flat roofs fully exposed to the elements. I read all the reviews here and elsewhere and decided to give these a try with some skepticism. I usually wear a size 12 and bought 13s to give me some extra room for socks. I actually left the tags on in case I wanted to return them. Yesterday: - 22F with a windchill factor of around -50F. I was on a flat roof for 4 hours with full wind exposure, so really putting these boots to the test. I did have a pair of thermal socks on. At the end of the 4 hours, my toes felt slightly cold but nowhere near the painfully cold or frostbitten/nipped feeling I'm used to. I'm keeping them! I can only attest to their warmth and have yet to learn anything about their durability or waterproofing ability. They seem very well constructed. At $119, that's around 1/2 the price I'm used to paying for high quality work boots. I'd recommend thermal socks coupled with these boots for extreme cold. I probably wouldn't rely on them for trips to the poles but for my climate so far they're doing a better job protecting my feet from extreme cold than any other boot/thermal sock combos I've tried. Great buy for the money...so far.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Description does not match the boot. Living in Klamath Falls Oregon 4000ft elevation, working as a mail carrier I was hoping to get a boot that would keep me warm and dry. Temps Got down to -12f with three feet of snow in one day I was was expecting to have tosty feet with 600g insulation. With regular Marino wool spring summer socks my feet were not perspiring at all. Felt litttle cold in the toes which made me skeptical of the insulation and waterproofing. The following week temps reached 30s and rain came down. Lots of roads were slushy and the boot failed puddles. I believe the leak is at base of tunge which makes sense my toes felt cold. feeling down at the base of tunge on the inside I felt stitching which I wouldn't expect from a waterproof liner. I definitely didn't submerge the boot to its max 8 inch to gusset. Just about ankle high enough to cover the first few laces stepping in water puddle not even standing in it. Immediate chill on top of my foot from water leaking in. I'm disappointed with the boot. It maybe ok for playing with the kids making snowmen and shuveling snow but not for outdoor daily work in conditions negative zero and below and definitely not in any shallow puddles. 10-12 hour days in multiple types of cold weather conditions I definitely would not recommend this boot.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible boot! All around terrible I go places my life depends on my gear! I bought these for a backpack trip in Canada hunting! First lite rain feet got wet! That should be enough but gets worse! No matter how loose or tight you tie them they make so much noise every step! These were broke in at home before I left never wet! Took off first day and went with backup boot'so! And they were 2yrs old and made it the whole 2 week trip! Cost half as much!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Boot I purchased the boots for my brother, whom wears a size 13. I was very happy they still had his size in stock. It's hard to find large sizes. He has always worn the 200g columbian boot which he loves. I decided to bump it up to 600grams since he's out in the snow & uses public transportation. The boot appeared very insulated inside. He normally wears thick wool socks all winter long; however, he was not able to wear those socks with this boot. The boots were definitely cut very small. He was surprised how tall the boots were and reported he had not warned that height in several years so he was somewhat skeptical of the Comfort against his leg and Ankle. Surprisingly when he tried the boot on, it was very comfortable. He is requesting a size 14 which I will or am in the process of purchasing it and I will let you know the outcome.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best winter boots I've purchased This will be my 4th pair of Columbia winter boots I've purchased over the past four years. Now don't think that there is a quality issue, there isn't I've been buying them for my wife, father and brother. So lets get into the details. I live in Boulder, CO and am very active year round. I love to snowshoe and hike all year round. This boot is warm enough to wear with a thinner sock and not so bulky that you can't move around with ease. Even in multiple feet of snow I stay warm and the most important part, DRY. They fit how your regular shoes do, so no need trying to guess on what "boot size" you wear. As stated before you can wear a thin sock with them. I prefer a merino wool blend "Smart Wool" is the best paired option I've found. Around town, these boots work well for walking the dogs during the winter months. I have a couple of German Shorthair Pointers (ENERGY X1000) and I like to take them on long walks. Mainly so my wife doesn't leave me due to the constant craze they provide our family. I use them with a set of YAK TRACKS so I don't slip on packed ice and they work nicely for this application as well. (Buy a size larger in YAK TRACKS to fit best) Hope this helps!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Boots I bought these boots for those not so great days to be on the water fishing but you have to be out there anyway. They are comfortable for standing on the front of the boat for 8 to 9 hours while keeping my feet warm and dry. In my case they fit very well but if you are someone who has difficulty finding the proper fitting boot I would always recommend going to a local Columbia retailer so you can try them on first to assure a proper fit. Great boots! Thinking about getting another pair for the day these finally wear out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and comfortable I finally got out and put these to the test hiking in snow for a couple of days. They felt great as far as fit ( mid weight socks ) and we're not too warm as I feared. Very comfortable, easy to put on/take off. I'll never find out if there warm to minus 65, which doesn't bother me a bit. They suit my needs.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not Great! This boot runs not only small but very narrow especially in the heel. Creates blisters and irritation terribly! Very stiff as well an not at all comfortable. Not one of Columbia's better products. Would return for a bigger size except these were for my son who wears a Size 17... nothing bigger. Maybe if WIDE or WIDE+ were offered on these boots, it may fit better!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Both Boots Leaking - Can't Recommend Just received these boots after purchasing a competitors boots with 200 less grams of insulation earlier. I wanted to compare the two before making my decision. My only test was submersion in 6" of cold water. I wore different brand boots on each foot, with liner socks under thick wool socks. Then repeated for the other feet and boots. Laced them up loosely to have proper circulation. After maybe 2 minutes in, both left and right boots leaked. The left around the tongue gusset and the right somewhere around the footbed and then just everywhere. I could also feel the cold more in the toes of these boots before they leaked. Both of the competitors boots did not leak, and the cold in the toe area was less noticeable. I really wanted to hold on to these boots and return the other ones. They were $15 cheaper. Out of the box, the tongue gusset is almost 3" higher and the boot about 1-2" higher. They lace up more easily than the other ones. I'd say they look a little better. Both brands were comfortable and lightweight, though these boots crease in an odd way towards the front when you bend your foot and push off the toe (on that techlite material that wouldn't seem to last long being creased). Both boots are probably sufficiently warm when it's dry. But the fact that these leaked so quickly means I cannot at all recommend these. Just statically in a bathtub for a couple minutes they leaked. I would think just a quick 15 second dip in a stream applying pressure would get your feet wet. Not only is that not what's advertised, it can be dangerous. I'm sending these back, and holding on to the other ones.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Heard this was a great boot Columbia buggaboot plus 3 xtm with omniheat 600 gram boot A friend of mine bought this boot a year ago and told me how grwat it was. I purchased my pair in late October. Around christmas time i had noticed both boots had started leaking on the tops of the feet. About 2 weeks ago late january i had noticed the inside of the ledt boot coming apart. I like the fact that they are a lightweight and warm boot and very comfortable but was dissapointed at how quick they broke down. At this point i am unsure if i would recommend or purchase another pair.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great boot but not on slippery surfaces Anytime I put these on they feel great, they are light weight and made well. Warm through long hikes and comfy. They are great for hunting, since they are quiet and super light. BUT THEY ARE HORRIBLE ON ANY SLIPPERY OR SLICK HARD PACK SNOW and forget about ICE. I can't even walk up my driveway in them in the winter. My Sorel boots from 1982 work way better. I thought the Omni Traction was going to rock..it doesn't even hiking and cresting trails with rocks and hard pack or slick snow I don't trust these boots. Trekking for miles...no problem.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good versatile boot for the money I have been looking for a versatile boot for winter and this really has potential. Hiked in the boot 5 days on a pheasant hunt in the mid-west and it did really well. Have not taken it snowmobiling yet, but that is the plan. Has all the features of the boot I am trying to replace that is not made anymore.
